This hotel just came under new ownership and it shows. Horrible customer service. Beware, you may not recieve the room you booked and they care zero about that.

It’s not the greatest and there’s a smell that stays in the hallway that is horrible. The couch had stains so we didn’t even sit on it. But if you are like us and just slept there it’s definitely doable.

Room was very clean but the permanent stains on the couch and the carpet were disgusting. When furniture is gross, you get rid of it. This property needs a complete renovation or a tear-down and a fresh start. Had I paid $150 to stay here, I might have excused it. But I paid twice that, which is criminal.

Entire hotel including rooms has an overwhelming sent of curry as the owners live throughout the property. Over half of the people staying are refugees or illigals. Soccer being played in hallways and in the parking lot. Cleaning staff is aggressively unfriendly. Breakfast is but a few uneatable items. Lots of loitering in the staircases and exit doors.

This property is old & dated . That I can live with. I cannot live with Pubic hairs in the bathtub . The sheets are stained & smell like old men in addition the pillows . There is grime on the headboard and in the back , walls floors stained . and I’m petrified I’ll get bed bugs . I have a flight tomorrow and it’s too late to change hotels . It was prepaid and due to conventions and zero vacancies anywhere this was my only choice in the area. If it wasn’t 40* outside id sleep in my car, I’ll know better next time, cleanliness is everything especially in fall flu season and covid returning . The entire hotel smells of ethnic food and it’s nauseating . Coming from a Marriott where bleach prevailed this place is a dump . I’ve been in better motel 6’s . I better not get bed bugs . Please beware staying here you don’t get mersa .

Just an uneasy vibe as you walk down the halls. Smelled like people were cooking in their rooms. Rooms seem to be full but barely any cars in the lot. Took a $100 security deposit at check in and feel the need to closely watch my credit card to make sure it is credited back.

Meh....not great but passable
Gave us single bed when Deluxe 2 Queen was booked. They did accomodate by giving us 2 rooms but the second room had both windows open to the cold and the bottom of 1 window was still tilted out as if being cleaned. Breakfast provided was so-so and not many options for healthy breakfast. Not sure why there was a security guard on premises, but that made us very uneasy. Only stayed 1 night luckily.

Not happy this stay.
We have stayed at this establishment several times and this year it was not clean, sheets were dirty and stained , outside was filthy as well as the hallways. Bathrooms were not cleaned very well and there was a lot of noise . Not sure if it's under new management but it wasn't as great as our previous stays.

The hotel was nice, but they did surprise us with a security deposit of $100 that was not listed on their hotel prices prior to check-in. It would be very beneficial to let customers know beforehand on Expedia or have it somewhere for them to be aware of it.

They took 100 USD from me as deposit using my debt card and refused to give me my change upon check out. They said it will be refunded and ur was never refunded because it is a debt card NOT a credit card. They were unable to understand due to poor English and lack of experience.
The hotel does room housekeeping once only every 3 days so dirt and used towels will stay with you.
There is no food at the hotel nor a room service, no lunch, no dinner. Only light repeated breakfast everyday.

We booked months in advance room with 2 Queen beds.
Upon our arrival we were told it is not available. They had only King room with folding sofa bed.
In addition, young lady at front desk was very hard to understand. She gave us the key, but not usual hotel info.
She also gave us email for manager Mani Kumar, but no answer.

Convenient location as it is near major highways to get around eastern MA and into Boston fairly easily. The room was clean and the area is generally safe and quiet.
1. Room was clean. Amenities could be improved by offering a safe to store valuables. Our fridge didn't work, the door did not close properly so when the cleaning staff came, the door was actually still open when we returned.
2. Breakfast was generally good as there were some hot food items. Improvement would be to provide a variety (instead of the same sausage/egg every morning). For example, bacon would be a nice way to change things up as well as hash browns. Muffins were there everyday. Would be nice to include English muffins (so that people could make their own "Egg McMuffins") and croissants to change things up. Seating was also a major issue - during the weekend and Monday, it was quite busy and difficult to find a place to sit. There wasn't enough table/counter space and not enough chairs. There was a nice patio area outside (even though the pool was closed) so it would have been nice to have the option of sitting outside for breakfast - put out a few patio chairs and tables there.
3. Main service issue is that the room wasn't cleaned and no new towels were supplied until we specifically requested it from the front desk. Guests should be notified of this on check-in.

Our initially assigned room did not have access to wi-fi and when staff was alerted to this, a visit to our room confirmed the problem and we were immediately moved to a room with not problems. The room was clean, comfortable, and attractive with good TV package.

It is obviously family owned. And the flow of the breakfast bar was awful. Also had to argue to get a pull out bed when that is what was advertised and what I wanted. Tried to stick me in a room with only one sleeping surface. They correct the situation but only after I argued with receptionist.

Hotel for pets
It is a pet friendly hotel. You will hear dogs all day and night, their excrement is all around the hotel. There was no housekeeping service during our stay. The towels were not changed during the whole stay. Plus, they charge 100$ at your arrival as a security deposit!

Pool not working. Washer and Dryer not working and did not seem to have interest in fixing them. Lots of International travelers with family and makes USA look bad. Breakfast food acceptable but cold. No mention of pool or washer and dryer not working on checkin. Staff friendly and helpful. Not sure about management. Had to extend my stay and staff were helpful. Able to stay in same room. No USB ports. Needs upgrade.

This was an average hotel with a decent included breakfast, which the staff kept up on.
They have an outdoor pool which was not open while we stayed, and though the hotel was not visibly dirty, there was a bad general smell in our room, that did not dissipate during our stay.
The staff was nice.

Boston wedding
We were traveling to a wedding in Boston but we wanted to find something in the area but more affordable for our 2 night stay.
This was a nice spot, convenient location, shopping nearby, access to highways, etc.
Breakfast was quite good.
I used the fitness room twice, also a necessity for my lifestyle.
Only complaint is the walls are a bit thin, so you can definitely hear people moving around above you and next door.

Love the area. Nice hotel. Cozy. Good breakfast. The only issue was that they never came to clean the room whilw we were there foe three days and the elevatoe got stack with us one evening for about a minute. Overall it was good.

I booked here because of the pool. Did not find out until day after I arrived the pool was not working. Nobody mentioned at checkin.

Disappointing, dirty, 2/10
We had a late flight in and needed to be close to Stoneham for the morning and chose the Sonesta Select based on proximity and price. Well as they say, you get what you pay for. Don’t be fooled by the Sonesta name, this place was very run down. There’s a moldy smell when you walk into the lobby, the elevators carpet was disgusting and was in need of a vacuum, there are scuff marks along the walls. We booked a king room and we’re “upgraded” to a junior suite. The room was big but that’s pretty much the only highlight. The couch was old and worn in, the mattress was way too soft offering no support. There wasn’t any body wash in the shower and the thin pads of soap left on the counter were a joke. The room also smelled musty. We opted not to even try the breakfast in the morning. The name is Sonesta but you’re getting Motel 6 type environment. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Hampton across the street.

We had a nice stay here. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing for a hotel breakfast. The staff was helpful I only had a little bit of a hard time figuring some check in details over the phone beforehand but at the property was great. The gym could use some updating but it was nice to have a few pieces of equipment to use.

The room was comfortable, although when I turned up the thermostat to warm the room a bit it spit out only cold air. I called the front desk on this and they said it would take several minutes for it to warm, but I ran it for several minutes and did not notice any warming, so I turned it off as the room was only getting cooler. Eventually, the room warmed on its own with me in it. I was disappointed that the outdoor pool was not available but they said they were doing major renovations, so I will look forward to using that the next time I stay there. All in all, I find the Sonesta to be a very nice, comfortable place to stay.

This is a dirty hotel. They missed cleaning my room on schedule (every other day). The Television in the room kept getting a "No signal" message. When I asked for help at the front desk, there response was: "Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't". Thanks for nothing!
There was constant door slamming at 2-3 AM in the hallway, and again, the front desk was no help.

we stayed for a week. the shower curtain was not clean- mold started to form. the bed was uncomfortable. i had a back pain from sleeping on the bed. the service was ok.

Return visit for me. Convenient location. So much parking. Spacious rooms. I was pleased to see that the lobby furniture had been refreshed since my last visit. The breakfast was sufficient. One small thing was off. I love that there were refillable soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the showers. I appreciate that some thought is being given to waste. Sadly the dispenser indicated a brand and type of soap BUT that is NOT the type that was dispensed. I was expecting a certain scent and quality and was disappointed by what was actually dispensed - more basic product. Simply remove the labels. I was not fooled.

Do not stay at this hotel unless
1. You like to be greeted at check-in by the sourest of sourpusses
2. You don't mind being lied to by the staff about when your room will be straightened up. Never, if it was up to them.
3. You don't mind being told by the staff that the best way to ensure that you will get your room straightened is by writing a critical review like this one.
4. You don't mind the AC rattling all night
5. You like using dirty towels, because they won't change them for you. You can go to the desk and get some. (Nice of them!).
I'll never stay at this place again. I'd recommend you avoid it!

I am not happy with my stay at this place. At the register they mentioned that the room will be cleaned the next day. When we come back after a long trip the room was not cleaned. When I mentioned this to the hotel person, they did not feel sorry for it. Ice makers were not working either have to ask at the register for it. The breakfast was horrible too.

Very quiet place and right across from Dave & Busters. Hotel staff was very nice, place was very clean and kind of remote. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay close to Fenway! Just a short drive to the city.

I was disappointed that the pool was not open. There was an out door seating area but a closed pool.
We went outside to sit in the morning, but smoking was allowed and we were among the smokers. That was unpleasant - especially to have our morning coffee. The reason for going outside with our breakfast is because the dining room was quite crowded and no seating was available.
We ended up taking our breakfast to our room.
Also, there were a number of dogs in the hotel.
Perhaps they should make a separate dog area along with a separate smoking area, then ALL guests would be comfortable.--- or how about no smoking at all??

The room was most comfortable. We did not need our room cleaned for our two day stay and staff honored our request not to clean. Also, the breakfast was awesome. Plenty of sitting room, the room was bright and several TV's allowed us to watch our selection. On a negative note. two of your young ladies on the reception desk who answered our cell call could not give us directions from the Avalon Mall which is less than a mile away. Our phone gps was not working and we called desk twice begging for directions. No success.

Wish the room was a little bigger, but that’s just me.
For some reason the hallway smells like an Italian restaurant and there are no restaurants in the building, or any restaurants for that matter.
No biggie, but now I want to go to an Italian restaurant.

Everything was out of order , ice machine on main floor was broken laundry on site was out of order and I never got my deposit back. They didn’t clean our room at all and we were there for over three days. Would not recommend staying here at all.

Cleaning of Room
The location was great. The smell not so much but it is an old building so that’s expected. I stayed in this hotel for 11 days and they came to clean it only one time during the 11 day stay.
We had to keep asking for towels.

Made a good choice.
Very good place to stay in Woburn. Close to main roads and also close to eating places. Excellent parking facilities. Check in quick and comprehensive. Room very good.
Jake & Joe's next door offer food and drink (nice menu) and Dave & Busters is across the road.
Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Terrible experience. Booked a room with two queen beds for 4 people. When I go to check in, room is gone. They gave it to someone else, even though I had payed in advance. Lady at the front desk tells us this is something that has happened before. Really? We ask for the manager, he comes and tells us the same spiel. They check the computers, us being visibly upset not having what we paid for, manager then leaves. Just flat out LEAVES the premises!
Checking other hotels in the area, mind you, its 11pm with two kids. The clerk at this point tells us to just call Expedia to have it sorted out. My god, with two kids at 11 at night… Worst experience in a hotel I’ve ever had.
