Location and Comfort!
I love the location and free airport shuttle. Staff are very helpful and friendly. My room was extremely comfortable and I enjoyed having a mini fridge in the room. With the Metro and a wonderful bakery nearby, it was a very convenient place to use as a base before going out to explore Washington DC.

Stay was overall wicked good, but only 1/3 elevators were working so being on the 11th floor and having to wait 10-15 minutes just for an elevator while trying to maintain a schedule wasn’t the easiest. Rooms were clean and food was good at on-site restaurants little pricey for out of towners

While the majority of our stay was fine the issues that occured on the last night of our stay were disappointing. Something flooded in the bathroom above ours and poured from our ceiling all over our bathroom and onto the carpet outside of it. I went to the front desk at around 1:30 a.m. but was told that nothing could done until maintenance arrived in the morning. Because of all this we were unable to get hardly any sleep that last night.

Disappointed with how expensive parking was per night. I would rather see the cost for the room reflect the parking when I am booking the room and not have a hidden fee added on after I checkin.

Nice hotel in a great location…with one exception.
The staff was helpful, polite, and efficient. The rooms were clean and well appointed, but one of the most important aspect, the mattresses were truly awful. It felt like 4” of foam on a brick without any give. My back is still painful.

Staff and facility were great, parking available, $40 per night!!!!!!! Very convenient to DCA and they run a regular shuttle to and from DCA. Convenient to old town Alexandria. Restaurant on site with good food and service. Starbucks on the Mezzanine level

The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful. The property itself is getting worse for wear with powerpoints not working/broken with some being loose. The shower did not work adequately in one of our rooms requiring a change of room. In the other room, the shower controller leaked . The rooms and furniture could do with some "sprucing up".

At about 5-6 AM, someone busted open my door. When my boyfriend jumped out the bed, whoever it was slammed it closed. It was too early for housekeeping. Upon check out, i alerted the front desk. They shrugged it off and said they’d ask about it. And that was it. Absolutely dangerous place to stay. On top of the fact that it’s dirty.

This was a very nice hotel. Starbucks in the lobby was a plus!! Parking is an extra $50 which I did not know until I checked in. The restaurant had great food, but the service was terrible.

A very bad experience
This was a really awful experience - we arrived after a fully day traveling at 1.15am the hotel was fully booked, they hadn’t reserved a room for us. We were offered to travel 25mins to the Holiday Inn but then told they were fully booked as well. We were then told the only option was a sofa bed. The room had no real bed, the service was very aggressive and the hotel is very run down and best avoided.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It does need a little updating but otherwise it was great. We ate at the restaurant on site - Potomac Social Tavern - and it was fantastic. They were WAY understaffed but the food was excellent! The front desk staff were very friendly and pleasant to work with. It was also really nice to have a Starbucks on site, but the staff there could really use a lesson in customer service as they never smiled and were not friendly at all. Otherwise, I will definitely stay there again when I'm in the area.

I did't like that there was no microwave in the room, and even though one was provided in the lobby it was too small and out in the opening where guests are checking in and I'm sure the guests checking out is not pleased with smelling someone food being heated up in an area that's for checking in. The microwave should be in an area away from guest check in or better yet put one every floor in an area where a snack machine should be.

Close to Subway trains, location is within10-15min reach to attractions by train, breakfast was included and me and my wife greatly enjoyed. Hotel prepared for keeping the luggage after check out to be picked when we are heading to airport.

I liked that it was next to where i was going. It wasn't worth the money. The room had no personality. Possibly a business suit designed it. The beds were soft as marble and i believe the pillows were stuffed with rocks.

I was impressed with the staff being super friendly to us. Price was good. Breakfast was included and good. Overall the room was big and clean. I had a good time.
Parking being $40 a night is expensive but pretty much standard for Crystal City. I found the parking garage tight but better than comparable hotels in the area for my truck.
One area that could use improvement is the elevators. Only two were working and they were packed.
Last thing… why do all hotels in the area no longer have pools? Bring back the pool!

The hotel is nice, but it was overwhelmed by participants in the Army Ten Miler. There are only 3 elevators for guests and one was in and out of service during the weekend. This made it a long wait sometimes for an elevator.

The experience was good. Front desk was amazing and very helful. Only thing was that i was given a handicap room and the closet was lower to the ground unble to hang my clothes. Plus I was not a fan of the automatic door.

Desperately in need of maintenance. The wall between the bed and the bathroom is bowing out and the wall paper has come loose. The same inside the bathroom. Ceiling in the shower had brown stains. I suspect water damage. Parking is $40 a night. That's robbery. The garage was less than 1/4 full. No microwave in the room. Best thing I can say about the place is they have great water pressure.

THIN WALLS
Issues with functionality. Tv was working for awhile. Light in magnifying mirror was out. AC wouldn't reliably turn on.
Major thing was the THIN WALLS. I could clearly hear the nornal-volume phone conversation of the neighbor in the next room. Another night I was kept up for hours because the neighbor was having a conversation at 2am.
I sent messages through the hotels.com app and did not receive any correspondence.

Convenient Location and Great Staff
Great price for the location, room, and services. I was able to check in at 9 in the morning, right after an early morning flight. The room and hotel was clean at all times. There's a free gym and a restaurant within the hotel. The friendly and helpful staff helped get me to the airport on time.

We found lice on the pillow, we left the hotel at 2:00 am, due to lack of hygiene in the rooms, we had to pay Sheraton Pentágono, and these thieves refuse to refund what we paid when we were only in the room for 2 hours, in addition Hotels.com is Agree with them and tell us that they can't do anything, don't use hotels.com to book because they don't have customer service, we pay for the stay at Hotels.com and customer service tells us that. or you can do nothing, but I will proceed legally not for the money, for the attitude of the hotel and Hotels.com

Filthy hotel
First room was dirty and hole in bathroom ceiling, sheets dirty. Told front desk and changed rooms. 2nd room was not clean either and dirty sheets. Bathtub backed up completely and pubes came up in water. Parking fees were not disclosed. Elevator and garage smelled of weed. Tried to address issues with front desk and manager. Told nothing they could do since booked through Hotels.com and did not seem to care about complaints at all.

My experience here was not good at all. The staff there was the worst we even had one follow us around as if we didn’t have a room there. We tried to have dinner in the hotel restaurant but were denied service because we were told we needed a reservation for a table. The next night I called to make a reservation only to be told we didn’t need one! I’m never coming back to Crown Plaza. There are definitely more hotels there with better service and updated rooms.

Check in issues
This location could not find my Hotels.com reservation, and mishandled service as we were made to wait. Toiletries are provided in large bottles, but ours had not been refilled by housekeeping. Hallways were extremely hot, and the room itself was difficult to regulate (a necessity in the summer in the DC area).
The location was incredibly convenient, and the condition and cleanliness of the room were fine. Nothing outstanding, but nothing below expectations, either.
The highlight of our stay were the ladies working in Starbucks on the mezzanine level. Excellent service, and with a smile.

A Nice July Evening
The hotel was friendly the moment I walked in. Great staff and the parking was good. The room was nice. I arrived just before a thunderstorm which temporarily took out the television but it restored quickly. Breakfast was nice but the plate set up could be repositioned to a more accessible location.

Property was decent. The front reception people were not welcoming whatsoever. The man that “greeted” us seemed very annoyed. He and the other front desk person were unfriendly. The shift that came after them was a bit nicer. There is NO pool 👎 the only water “station” is in the small gym on the second floor. No coffee station like at other hotels

Horrible and took money when they shouldn't have
They double charged me and kept telling me conflicting stories. I put down a major credit card for my deposit, so no they were no it was not that. I still don't know when I'm going to receive my $300+ back into my account. One person said one thing, another said it was their mistake, another said it shouldn't have happened, and another said sorry I don't know why this happened, no more will be taken out and the next day more money was taken out of my account. I am currently still waiting to hear back from a manager to explain to me what the heck happened and to justify their still occurring mistake that is affecting my finances. I will never ever ever stay there again because they apparently don't know how to work their machines. I have never had this happen to me when traveling.

The same was okay.
The hotel and room were clean. However I had so compliants. There was a rag left in my bathroom from the cleaners early before I checked in. They had a $50 holding fee which was not a problem however charged my $100. When I asked why they told me because I was staying two nights instead of one. However, my friend who also had a room was only charged $50. The overnight parking is overpriced. The cleaners opened my door twice while I was getting dressed way the check out time which is very unprofessional.
Overall, the stay was okay.
