Great stay
Booked this room unexpectedly after realizing our travel plans were unrealistic and we were too tired to make it home that night. Booking was easy, room was clean, hotel was quiet, beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable.

The room was small, but clean. I loved the mural on the wall. I just wish hotels would install nicer tv’s with better working remotes. There is always a lag with the cheap TV remotes.

There was a dirty rag on the shower rod. I was disappointed that this was overlooked since cleanliness is the target point of the hotel.

Very friendly and comfortable hotel, only stayed one night noticed some things weren’t super clean wash rags seemed a bit dirty and the bed kinda had a stitch of wet dogs otherwise it was very nice and I would stay again!

We had an ok hotel stay, prices were way over inflated due to parents weekend at UVa…. But that being said the hotel room was not worth the $300 we paid for one night. Super friendly staff though. Small things like: the room doors SLAM which is terrifying at night while you’re going to sleep and your neighbor goes out/comes in. The hotel has a mysterious odor that is traveling the building so when we checked in our original room it smelled like the inside of a sewer pipe. Thankfully the second room was better. Our TV would. Not. Turn. Off. It was a hilariously bizarre series of events discovering the remote was after market, the tv had no physical on/off buttons and the power cord runs through the wall so we couldn’t unplug it. Eventually setting a sleep timer worked after 30 mins. So weird. The closet door is so tall it slams into the hall light when you open it. … there’s just a lot of head scratchers with this hotel. But it was clean and, again, the staff was nice.

Fire Alarms
The hotel had a fire alarm go off twice during the night once around midnight and once around 6am. It blared for 10 seconds and then stopped. This seems to happen often, the front desk attendant said it was odd it happened twice.
Also, the sink was gross. There was hair and mold evident in the drainage hole.

My husband got stuck in the bathroom, the door was stuck. Even without the lock, he couldn't open it. I tried to call the front desk, no answer. I called the main number, it had a voice mail saying to dial "O" for the front desk. Still no answer. I went down and told the desk assistant. She said she will be right there. After about 10 minutes, I called again, no answer again. I went down again and told her we needed help as soon as possible. She came with me with another guy. They both tried to open the door, no luck. She called the fire department. They came soon with an axe and other equipment. Finally took off the lock and my husband got out. Soon after, the police came. Now in the space of the lock, there is a big hole. The lady had the nerve to tell us that we won't be charged. For what? Being locked in the bathroom? I said we should get some compensation. she said she will talk to the manager about this. Next night I asked her again, she said she had someone there, will call back. No response after that. It was the same lady "Crystal" from the first night. Today, before checking out I talked to the desk agent (I think her name was Tabatha), and she said she will report it. My husband did not take his phone in to the bathroom. He was saying if he were alone, he would've had to stay there till check out time (2 days) when someone would check.

This property was amazing for the price. Crystal, (girl at the front desk) was excellent! Could not say enough good thing about her. If all staff was was great as her......this would be a 5 star rating!

It was good visit with family and friends. I found out from the hotel that Hotels.com had me booking booked for two rooms as oppose to one which I corrected when checked in.

It sets back away from the road, so finding it and leaving the parking lot can be tricky with all the traffic. The staff was very friendly!

I selected a non smoking room. But the room smelled highly of Marijuana. Would have complained to the front desk but the lobby smelled very strong of it too. Will never book there again as it is not family friendly. Would not recommend.

Very convenient to my daughter's dorm at UVA.
I knocked off one star because the price is significantly higher than Clarion's Comfort Inn line while not offering any advantages I could identify.

Bedding was comfortable. Nice breakfast. The room was a 3 star, the handle/knob on the bathroom door was coming apart. We requested some extra towels and pillows but were told that the staff couldn’t leave the desk. That’s pretty weak for a hotel.

There was mold all over the ceiling. The entrance to the hotel was hidden behind a fast food restaurant and extremely difficult to get to due to traffic.

do u guys think that i go around the hotel looking for crap? i walk with a walker!!! BEDS are TOO high, need to grow another foot...or 2. mattress was clean, I checked, no visitors, and it was soft for my old body, the problem was only getting on it; room was good, except for decor, thought someone would fall from the cliffs behind my head and hit me LOL. Tiny fridge was on wheels, kept running from me, silly thing, and microwave was so dark down there, that I couldn't read anything, just guessed and overcooked stuff. Ah has anybody seen something they called eggs, that looks like a yellow WET kitchen sponge, and when you bite, has lots of liquid coming out into mouth, and 12 lbs of salt? oh well...Other than these, it was a nice place...if you can FIND IT behind The Chicken Case or similar, with a Pile of Cars up and down and nowhere to SEE or Find it...but I am Ancient...but Tiera was a great help and a great smile

Only concern was as soon as I said that one person on our end had change the man checking us in had a preconceived notion of what I was saying and wouldn't listen to what I was saying and kept trying to cancel my room though I continually said I still need the room. Took about 5 min. for him to listen to me and actually start checking us in.

Overall it was good. It's located behind a business (Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers) and is hard to get in/out of due to busy street. But the staff was friendly, the room was clean, the food was okay (not great but okay). Fire alarm in the middle of the night was not fun but there was no fire only a prank so all was good.

We were apprehensive when we saw the property from the outside. It is tucked away behind the street entrance. When parking, we didn’t feel completely safe, but luckily found spots near the front of the property. Other than that, we liked the property enough to add a second night. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The property is convenient to all things Charlottesville. You can’t beat the property for the price.

Everything was fine except this was an award we redeemed and yet again, we were put next to an elevator which woke us up at 5 am

Property is hard to find as it's located behind a fast food restaurant. The room is extremely small and the A/C unit blows directly on the bed next to it. A poor value for the price of the room.

Check in was slow (only one person working desk), required manual entry of my license info, but the one staff person was helpful. Third floor had an unpleasant but not identifiable odor in the hallway. Parking was easy, but lot was difficult to enter and exit due to busy thoroughfare.

Staff was friendly
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. Our only real complaints are with the reservation and billing system. They double charged us for one of our rooms and lost the reservation for the other room.

We only stay in hotels couple times each year and this was one of my favorites. The rooms were clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was clean and seemed recently updated. The free breakfast had good selections and tood was kept at the right temperature. I'd stay at this hotel again with no hesitation. It is well situated for whatever you wish to see or do in Charlottesville.

Stuff is finally building is clean items that were requested like shampoo or extra shampoo and conditioner I’ll probably delivered. I don’t eat pork so the chef made me turkey, which was a very thoughtful thing to do.

Front desk attendants were great. Breakfast started over an hour after it was supposed to so we skipped that. There was a lady sleeping in the lobby chairs all night till morning so that was a little weird. Theres a Cane's in the parking lot. Popeyes, and Cold Stone Creamery right next store so that's a plus lol. Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.
