We got in pretty late and needed just one night. The rooms are located away from check in. We park in a literal construction zone which we ignore as we walked up. The building is literally falling apart, no real walls up in elevators. And again fine but at that rate, those rooms should just be closed off and not for customers to use. We settle in and get our kids to sleep as is it late. We go to lock the door and the door do not LOCK at all. When I say AT ALL, the latches don't even line up to go into one another to secure. We have a full video of us literally going into the room no key card or anything! And again we find this out close to midnight as our children are already asleep and it's freezing out. So we honestly just dealt with it for the night and used that pathetic top latch to make sure no one was able to break in. I can send the video for your reference but I suggest you let this hotel know that room 427 and likely all the rooms in this tower are unsafe. We were in a rush to get back home and had to leave otherwise I would have went and raised hell in the lobby. This was an absolute waste of money and I will also be leaving a full review on any other site to let others know to avoid this place at all costs. Also when we were trying to leave the construction parking, they were unloading concrete and there is only ONE way out of this area. So we sat there called lobby no answer. Employee on golf cart said to knock on trucks door to ask them to move....UNPROFESSIONAL

Close until you complete remodel
Place is under construction but the room was dated and repairs completed in bathroom looked like a handyman completed very noticeable and tacky . Construction will wake you in the morning disclaimer isn’t given until you check in

The rooms were very clean. The hotel was being renovated but it didn’t really affect our stay. Nice outdoor pool. The breakfast which was included was good. The only detriment was you had to either walk or drive to the main check in building for breakfast or to go to the gym.

Perfect location and beautiful rooms
We loved the location of this hotel. We could easily walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The park that is nearby was wonderful. Our room was comfortable and clean. We adored how it was decorated. We can't wait to come back.

This place was a great deal. Most of the hotels in the same area are very unaffordable. For the price this place was nicer than expected. Breakfast is included in resort fee and the have a shuttle. Housekeeping was on top of it and they have activities on the property. Bike rentals are on the property as well. Good experience overall. would recommend!

Super nice place to stay! Only a few blocks from the beach. They have free “trolly” rides around town if you get tired of walking. Most peaceful vacation I have had in a long time!

Lots of walkable things
Minor issue with washers and dryer not having soap machine that we paid for but place is nice plenty of parking and lots of food nearby walkable and walkable to beach.

When I arrived I was given room 107. While I was unpacking to go to my room I received a call from the front desk advising that I had been given the wrong room. They met me at room 105 too give me my new key. When they gave me my key and said 105. The couple walking down the hall said we are next door. I had been given the key to their room when I was given 107. We got in the room, cleaned and got settled, we noticed water on the balcony. Then noticed that the rug was wet. We called the front desk and they offered to move us to yet another room. I advised that I would prefer to stay and have someone come fix it. They came and advised thst we would have to move because even if they fixed it, they would have to dry the floor. So we packed up all of our stuff and moved again. Ofcourse the room we moved to was not as nice, but we refused to move again.

So many great things to say-highly recommend!
Wonderful stay staff was exceptional. Orlando who checked us in went above and beyond. Perfect locale can walk to beach and shopping.
Grounds were well kept and pool was very nice (needed towels though)
The only odd thing was breakfast was in a completely different building (an 8 min walk from rooms) but they do have a complimentary trolley if you don’t want to walk

Need Repair!! Toilet won’t flush had to use plunger several times, ceiling plaster had two leaks, electrical plug at sink inop, bathtub needed to be replaced, safe inop, biscuits at breakfast are hard as rocks, the door lock failed and maintenance had to use tools to open door, but they still charge $25 resort fee.

The property looks “tired” and in need of refurbishment / serious maintenance.
The toilet roll holder was barely hanging on the wall, the soap dispenser at the sink outside the bathroom was missing and the toilet flush handle had to be “jiggled” to stop the water running. The AC unit in the room was not able to actually cool the room, even though it ran for the duration of our stay.
There were several steps missing from the outside pool ladders.

The room was fine. Each day though the hotel had something… socials, movie by the pool, DJ by the pool, etc. There’s a great public park next door with the best kids playground and open area with a stage and shows. Just beyond that, shops and restaurants, and just beyond that, the beach. Perfect to have it all in walking distance. Staff was friendly. Appreciated having a big breakfast at the hotel then just snacking at the beach. Make sure to get Kenny B’s at least once.

Our stay was exceptional Reception was quick, informative and efficient. Its quick beautiful stroll up from actual room Breakfast was served daily with hot or cold options and had evens like sip and paint. Pool area is nice with charcoal or gas grill options and pool toys. Free trolleys run daily. The room was clean and cool when we arrived and was near Ice and drink vending. We didnt have any issues with not enough towels or service as well as I packed extra because we were going to the beach. Its an affordable, clean stay with close dining options and walking distance to Coligny Beach. Will definitely stay again!

Hotel is ancient, barely maintained. It’s a typical 1980s random mom and pop beach motel with a Holiday Inn sign on the front. Broken / “out of order” stuff everywhere. The entire property could use a deep deep clean. 85% of the people working there have 0 interest in lifting a finger. House keeping was nice and was good about replacing towels.

Our room was ok. The room sleeps 5 but there were only 3 towels. The next day house keeping grabbed the bag of trash we had already collected and nothing else. The next day house keeping had not shown up till 5pm. I left a note of what I expected but apparently they did not read English because they didn't follow by request of four towels, extra trash bags and extra toilet paper. The breakfast was alright. Not enough seating. Very crowded. The pool area was nothing like the pictures online none of the chairs had the pretty cushions and as a matter of fact, they were very worn and some of them looked a little risky to sit on. There was a lot of trash like bottle caps & wrappers left around the pool, indoor parking garage and outdoor parking area. The trash receptacles were over flowing outside the front of the building from Friday till Monday morning. Most of the vending machines were not working. The only washer and dryer malfunction why I tried to use them. The hotel rooms were in a different location then the check in office. There were no public bathrooms on any of the floors or by the pool area. Only bathrooms in your rooms.

Very good room with better than average coffee in the room, using Keurig coffee. There also was a good size fridge. We we close to the pool area where a dj plaid from noon to 3pm. Room was clean and we had no real issues with it. Free breakfast was nice, however it is in the service building which means walking out of the guess are to get to it. Its located next to the lowcountry park and close to the Coligny plaza. This means there is no need to have a vehicle sine everything is so close that you would need. Overall it was a good place to stay at a good price. Worth a look.

Amazing time
It’s honestly one of my favorite places to stay. Had a nice king bed that was amazing to sleep on. It’s also really close to the beach and don’t have to worry about finding parking. The view poolside is so nice. Had a great time. The breakfast was good too.

This hotel was much less expensive than others near the area. It is a short walk that takes about 10 minutes to get to Coligny beach. There are lots of dining and shopping options that are a 5-15 minute walk from the hotel.
Everyone on the staff was courteous and the grounds were in good shape. The only negative was that we received a call when we were about two hours away that our room was no longer available. We were switched from a king to a double queen room. That was not a huge issue in our case.
One area of mprovement would be to install new carpet in the ground floor at the hotel and possibly put hotel guest/ area information on the TV that was there.

Everything was beautiful and the people were very friendly and helpful. Overall, VERY few things to be negative about. The only somewhat major complaint was that the AC unit above us dropped water onto our balcony and we could only use half of it. Instead, we went to the beach and other activities on the island. Fantastic place. We will be back.

Hilton Head Getaway
My trip was a respite from taking care of my 100 year old Mother who lives with me . It served as a romantic getaway with my husband and also a visit with my precious daughter who lives on Hilton Head Island. Everyone was friendly, the accommodations were fabulous, location was perfect in so many ways. Loved the pool! The whole facility was just beautiful. One complaint is that the office is located so far away from the actual rooms, but I don’t think there is any remedy for that. My husband and I try to visit Hilton Head as often as we can and we will definitely stay there again.

The location is awesome. Near a bit of everything you need. Places to eat, rent bikes or even a very short drive to a FREE public beach parking. You could walk if able and there are free shuttles to the boardwalk. Where this hotel really excels is for kids under 16. Tons to do around there and a really cool hands on museum literally right beside there.
My only gripe and its not the fault of the hotel is the roll of the dice of a loud selfish idiot staying above you. Our last night these folks were making enough noise really late to keep us up. Again thats beyond the hotels control. Maybe a big fee for noise complaints but oh well.
Will definitely stay there again.

Nice size rooms, clean, quiet. Walk to beach and shopping/restaurants in 5-10 mins.
Checkin and breakfast are in a separate but close building. Some covered parking. Nice park next door. Did not need room card to get into pool tho which im not sure why. Overall great deal and location.

The property is overpriced for its “dated” condition and maintenance problems.
Pool was closed ! So a family planning all winter to have fun around the pool? Not happening during our visit and the staff doesn’t seem to care that much.
Also, Water leaking out of room 121 for several days. No urgency to correct the problem and eliminate slippery hazard in elevator area.
Beach access is a little tricky to find and requires walking a couple of blocks.
On the positive
Room was clean and comfortable .
Breakfast was good with nice selections of food.

We liked the ease with which we could get to the beach. The room was adequate. The maid service was helpful.
What was disappointing was the large group that was located on our hall who were very loud late into the evening. We arrived late on Sunday night, after 1 AM, Monday to be exact, and people were pounding on the doors and yelling in the hallway. Babies were crying as well. This continued on Monday evening as well. When the front desk was informed, they said they were aware and sorry. Nothing more was done.
Additionally, the pool was not in service for two days. Not sure why this was occurring, but it wasn't very reassuring too. I seldom fill out negative information, but the staff should have rectified the late-night occurrences at the least, and if possible, given some recompense for the less than stellar service.

The breakfast was not good. We ended up finding a restaurant to have breakfast. I wish there were chairs on the balcony. I was upset to find that the actual hotel was further away from the beach. Due to the address, it appeared as though the hotel was right across there street. The pool was cloudy and not as nice as the pictures.

The hotel is not traditional in that the rooms are accessible from the outside instead of inside. The doors are not exposed to the parking area, but they are down an open hallway that is open on both ends to the outdoors. This was unique, but did not take away from the stay itself.

The room was well furnished and up-to-date. However, there were some maintenance issues: the slide to move the shower sprayer up and down was broken, so the sprayer was in a fixed position spraying the full length of the tub. The toilet paper holder was slanted down, so the toilet paper was at risk of falling off at all times. The first day, we had no room cleaning at all. On other days, we had to request fresh cups, fresh tea bags, and fresh towels. The breakfast was good, but it was a 5-minute walk from the hotel to the reception area. The resort fee is a rip-off.

This property overall was very close to the beach which was nice, however we stayed for a week and housekeeping only cleaned our room 1 time on our first day. We had to call the front desk multiple times for towels and sheets. Whenever the sheets and pillow cases were brought we had to make our own room even after alerting housekeeping that our room had not been clean.

Great hotel—I re-booked for next week !
Loved my stay and look forward to my next stay ! Very clean and modern decor, very nice staff and close to Coligny Plaza and the beach.
Breakfast was great, lots of variety of cold and hot items and there is a pleasant deck available to enjoy breakfast outside.
It was very easy to find the building to check-in and the hotel is a separate building,well-marked, about a block away.
The walk to the beach is short and pretty. It takes about 10 minutes to walk there at an easy pace.

When our room was cleaned, it was not restocked( no towels, no coffee, no cups)
An alarm went off every day at 10 Tanglewood and was never turned off
There was a pillow that laid on the ground right outside the entrance for 3 days
The shower valve was broken and we had to fix it ourselves just to use it
There was a moldy piece of food or something stuck inside the a/c unit. The outside front cover to the a/c unit was broken , it wouldn’t close.

Great location within walking distance of the beach and restaurants/shopping. I also picked this hotel because of the free continental breakfast which had pretty good choices. My dislikes-the bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom and was very small. The bathroom did not have a fan. The air conditioner was pretty old and very noisy. In the lobby of the building we were in the elevators were always buzzing so this hotel could definitely use some upgrades.

Hotel is in a great area and very walkable to restaurants and playground. Check in was easy. Those are my only two positives. My biggest issue is that our room smelled like cigarette smoke. We checked in later in the evening and called the desk when we discovered this. They said that our room was never a smoking room (this is an older building that has been renovated) and the whole property was smoke free. The lady was nice and offered us a new room, however not an option for us with a baby and toddler at 9pm. Please note that this property is not smoke free as every time we entered/exited the building people were smoking by the front door. We woke up after 11pm to fire alarms going off. It was cleared quickly, however when we checked out the next morning the fire alarm lights were still flashing but had no sound. So, I do not think they were ever reset/ working properly after it initially went off. I feel like this hotel was definitely overpriced. What was renovated was nice, but the room had the original old toilet and the couch was extremely worn and faded with a smell. I would NOT stay here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff is excellent. Kind and very friendly. Being in the middle of trees, ponds and wildlife, it had a very peaceful feel. The pool was great also. Best of all it is a mere 10 minute walk to the amazing beach boy to mention a ton of food options.
My one complaint was that the air conditioning was not great. Despite having it set at the lowest temperature, the room never got cool and felt very humid.
