Very unacceptable
Soon as I came from a long 21 hour trip from Florida I had a hour delay before I can check in and they did not even give me the days that I paid for the reservation. It was so complicated and at the time I had to go meet my daughter who graduated at the Navy Academy in Chicago Great Lakes when I finally came back to the room, the sheets were stained, nasty and filthy. The room was older. It was unacceptable. I took pictures. I notified the desk. They informed me that did not pay for a third room and I owe the balance of $48 which I paid $199 for three days , I called the supervisor at Hotel.com and they advised me of what they can do. They called the hotel management. The hotel management put me into another room and the other room that they put me in the lights did not come on so they had to move me to another room. It was horrible long and TS and my wife stayed in the car because she did not want to sleep in a room. It was very unacceptable and very unpleasant and I’m very reluctant to use Hotel .com even though I have been an outstanding member. And my wife stayed in the car because she did not want to sleep in a filthy room. It was very unacceptable and very unpleasant and I’m very reluctant to use Hotel.com even though I have been a outstanding member for a while now, so I definitely have not been pleased with this trip at all all the way from just everything it’s just been unacceptable .

Our stay was great. Relaxing and quiet. Parking lot could have been salted and maintained much better. I fell but addressed it to night clerk. And.then it was taken care of. Staff very friendly.
Breakfast was nice and front desk staff was "somewhat" helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Where do I begin, front desk staff was extremely loud when I talked in joking around with each other. After a log day at work really didn’t like dealing with that. Sheets were disgusting, and stunk. There was a sticky substance all over the table in my room. One of there side doors didn’t work with the key cards so I got locked out. Won’t be staying here again.

Great stay
When we walked in we were greeted with a smile and very happy front office staff. The hotel is older but nice. The beds were comfy and the space was good. The hot tub was spacious and relaxing. The included breakfast was an added bonus!

The hotel staff was rude, the hotel was dirty. We were there for 5 days and requested room service, didn’t get until the fourth day, and it was done, it was half ass done, bad attitude.

Staff was great and accommodating. Breakfast was tasty. Plenty of parking. Clean overall. Just noticed stains on one of the bed covers. Was the bed I didn't sleep in. I had to pay extra to get a room away from the elevator. Whoever thought that was a good idea.

Check in was quick and easy. Very friendly young man at desk. Room needed some attention. Found empty pop and beer cans thrown in corner. The only ice machine in hotel was not working. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Had to go to local convenience store. Overall nice room. Sleeper sofa was your typical sleeper sofa.TERRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE. Not sure if this would stay here again.

Pictures online looked better. Up close, it's looking run down. Staff never at the desk when you need them, breakfast wasn't good (dried out eggs and sausage, bad fruit), the entire first floor smells from the over use of chemicals in the pool (that was so bad our eyes were burning after 5 minutes of being in the pool area), and the side exit door closest to our room was locked shut - major fire hazard. Wouldn't stay here again.

The elevator hasn’t been serviced since 2021. Front door didn’t work properly. The smoking area had no where to throw butts. Carpets severely worn. Beds broken down. The pool and hot tub were nice.

It was quiet and pretty clean nice , friendly staff and complimentary breakfast and pool. The only reason why I gave 4 stars was the facility. A couple Outlets not working in our room and no lighting behind the building where we parked. Everything was fine with the car, and more people parked by us eventually.

Horrible experience. Checked into our “non-smoking” room which smelled so strongly of cigarettes and weed that we requested a new room. The next “non-smoking” room was even worse and also looked like a murder scene with red stains on the carpet, bed, and curtains. There were no other rooms available and no point in trying another one so we went across the street and spent another $200 on a decent room to sleep in. The man at the front desk did not seem surprised that the rooms were so gross. Don’t advertise non-smoking rooms if you know people are smoking in them and you aren’t defuming them. I have never stayed in a hotel where I had any complaints, don’t care about luxury but these rooms were disgusting and non-refundable of course. It was also my birthday so that was great. Don’t waste your money on this place

Nice for one night.
Room was clean. Air conditioner barely worked. Had to turn it to 62° for the room to cool down. The breakfast area was a hot mess. Got there an hour before it ended and choices were limited. No one wiping down tables. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Check in and check out was great. Room was quiet.

Over the past five years I have stayed at this property at least 62 nights and have spent well over $6000 there (most in the same room). I have generally been satisfied. But on my last trip, conditions were unacceptable.
First, the deadbolt lock does not work. Not only is this mandatory, but I told the owner/manager of this problem on my previous trip. Second, the room reeked horribly of cigarette smoke. No employee could have entered the room without smelling it. It was so bad that I had to keep the window open during my entire stay. The smell contaminated my respiratory equipment.
What a shame...

Overnight Trip...Disappointing
Staff was friendly at check in. Rude when made complaint about the filthy mattress encasement that was found when we we pulled the covers back to lay down. Manager would not offer refund. The ice machine was broke, cooler in lobby to fill ice buckets. Not sure how sanitary that is. Also TV did not work. We had to have staff come get it going.

It was fine for a quick overnight- good value for price-,as we left early to continue traveling, but the room did not have blackout curtains to cover the window and there was a VERY bright street light which shown into our window all night. Also the nightstand drawer kept opening so I had to tie it shut.

I did not like the cleanliness of the bed sheets and other covering. They were soiled we changed rooms 3 times and each room had soiled bedding: bed room 1 had blood stains , the second one had lipstick and cake frosting.the third one looked like someone had did something nasty and and it driped down the side of the bedding. It was discussing. Then the manager told the attendant that I was a gustope .

Near six flags, yay! The jacuzzi!! That's the main reason I chose this hotel and within our small budget. We tried to use our keys to get in other doors but they either didn't work or were turned off. I sometimes want to go to the car in my jammies and don't want to go thru the main lobby.

The man at the front desk was very friendly, informative, and quick with the check-in. The biggest issue was the dirty beds. Everything else appeared to be clean and well maintained but the bed spreads were very stained and when we pulled back the covers to go to bed there was hair and dirt on the sheets which made us feel disgusted and made the stay uncomfortable.

Very Dirty
The staff was friendly. The hotel was extremely dirty. We asked to have our room moved because of the terrible smell in the first room (window was open when we arrived). The second room had an air freshener so powerful it was sickening. The room it self was very dirty. We had others in our extended group that also said their rooms were gross. Tried to spend as little time as possible there and checked out at 6:30 in the morning. Did not stay 2nd night.

We stay at Choice Hotels regularly and unfortunately this was not what we were expecting. Very dated, dirty, musty property with a/c barely working and hot water taking over 5 minutes to warm to our room. Breakfast, business center and front desk are all in the front lobby area and the pool and hot tub area needs a renovation. Elevator certificate states inspection expired 12/2021. We left early...only stayed one night out of our 2. Will not return.

This was my second time staying at this property and it was excellent for the money. The staff were super friendly. It's also directly across the street from the mall and within walking distance to various restaurants. I will definitely be staying here again if I'm ever in town.

The room was nice, clean, and quiet. The hallways and stairwells were a little tired and worn feeling. Room had coffee supplies, but was missing coffee maker, that was ok because neither of us drink coffee, but might have been an inconvenience for other guests.

the property seemed really small at first, but just as a heads up the steak and shake that is next to the building is closed so you can use the parking spot in that area. Personally, I would’ve preferred that the staff coming to our room and change the sheets while we were gone, but they only change sheets when you check out which is understandable. Staff did try their best to communicate when things were broken such as vending machines or breakfast items.

Pleasant stay.
The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. There are signs of the hotel’s age in the room. However, everything was very clean. Super comfortable beds. A nice feature for the in room bathrooms that i noticed when getting up, is there’s motion sensing for the lights. Nice warm pool and a decently sized hot tub. They had a variety of hot breakfast (Waffle press, toast, English muffins, bagels, eggs, and a protein- sausage on the day we stayed) and cold breakfast (yogurt, muffins, and cereal) options. Milk, juice, coffee, and water.

I liked location. Room was somewhat cleaned buy not around edges or room or bed. Overall worn out and needing improvements. We noticed a lot of drag racing Friday night with braking noise. Did not feel very safe. Was surprised by decline in property standards.

It was close to shopping and food, had a hot tub by the pool. The people were friendly. It was a little run down, the breakfast could be better, maybe adding scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal. The pool towels were low and one day they were out. The fitness room rote ro the tv was broken on top, the purell was out and there was no wipes to clean off the machines. The elevator looked like it hadnt been vacuumed in days the entire stay. The cleanlineas could be better. Both beds in our room had hair on the sheets. The fridge had dirt in it They could pay closer attention to clean detail.

Disappointing. Pay more for better service.
I mean you get what you pay for I guess? Room was fine. Toilet seat was broken, shower head trim was off. Pool area was RUN DOWN. Paint chipping, rust everywhere, ceiling tiles broken. I had to ask twice for pool towels because there were none two out of the three times we went down. Breakfast was a joke. First morning there were no eggs or sausage left at 9am (ended at 10). They didn't refill til 945. Second morning (at 830) they were out of all bread/muffins/bagels, no eggs, no yogurt. I get that it's a free breakfast and maybe they were understaffed (there was only 1 person doing front desk and taking care of breakfast) but it left something to be desired. Very disappointed.

This hotel is in a great location so that was a plus. It's family owned, but it absolutley needs some serious upgrades! You can tell they haven't put much money into the up keep. And the breakfast was laughable but at least they offered something! They also need to hire better staff and offer some training because the people working there were quite dense. Not welcoming at all. They seemed unintrested and half sleep the whole time we were there. We asked for more towels and they act like it was against the rules or something! My kids enjoyed the pool however we had to deal with a karen! So yea over all id give them a 1/5. Definitely won't ever stay there again! Save your money folks. Unless you don't mind dirt and cigarette smells everywhere!

Friendly and efficient desk workers
The workers were very friendly and accommodating. Great location-close to Six Flags-Great America. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Older facility, but suited our purpose just fine. Plenty of parking spots.

We stayed 2 night. We asked staff to remove dirty towels and garbage from the room after first day. I had to removed them when I returned that evening. That was unacceptable!
I reported to manager when checking out and he gave me 15.00 back and said he was sorry.

Property was dirty. Hallways/Elevator had food on the floor. When we got to our room, we took 3 steps in and it smelled of smoke -- yet was a non-smoking room. Returned immediately to front desk and same individual who checked us in said "please wait right here while I make sure there was no damage to the room". I responded with "we just left the front desk 2 mins ago. When he returned, all he offered us was a handicapped room. We considered not showing due to shower condition. Rest of room was OK. Will NEVER stay here again. I'm finding Comfort Inn quality is seriously declining.

The stay was fine. There was nothing extra good or extra bad. From the pictures and reviews I was expecting more. The room had a stale cigarette smell and was difficult to regulate temperature. I would rate the hotel as a 2 or 3 star. I don’t think I will stay there again.

The elevator was disgustingly dirty. The front desk check in was meh, having conversations with others while I tried to check in. My phone fell under the bed, I found food, bottle caps. GROSS! The pool had a cholorine issues in the am. At night, the kids were not being watched and the hot tub had brown goo floating in the bubbles. There was not enough waffel mix, bagels, etc for breakfast. Not even the waffle spray to prevent the waffels from sticking.

Welcoming and friendly
We had to book somewhere pet friendly asap as our other plans fell through. Front desk staff were very helpful. We so appreciated the care they showed when the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working. When repairs were not successful, we were able to get into a new room. Housekeeping even helped to move out things. She was a lovely person and we just really appreciated the help.

The breakfast was simple but good enough. Variety of yogurt, waffles for kids, toast , bagels and fruit. The downside was the cleanliness of hotel. Overall it was vacuumed but the comforters needed to be washed. The bedding smelled dirty. If this is updated, the hotel is decent.

Not your usual Comfort Inn you’d expect
The Staff was friendly when we checked in and passed them in the hall however there were some concerns. The Hot Tub felt slimy, the room was very dated, breakfast was bare minimum, the provided toiletries in the bathroom were skimpy, when I went to checkout the phone on the front desk to call for assistance did not work, and nobody came when I rang the door bell thingy they also had on the desk by the phone.
I ended up just leaving our Hotel Key laying on the chair behind the desk.
