Nice for the price
Served the needs comfortably and for a good price. Very convenient location. Clean, quiet and plenty of parking. A decent "free" breakfast (with hot items). My only complaints are inconveniencies: my TV remote batteries were dead so I couldn't turn the TV off once I turned it on and my room keys needed to be reset on 2 different days. I could stay here again.

Small complaint but I luv this place.
My washer was being repaired at home so I brought 2 loads to wash since this location had a washer dryer. Got there and the desk clerks were excited. Ooh, we just got a new one too.
Yea well, nope it didn’t work.
Had to go to the laundromat 10 min away so I could have clean underwear. The woman at the desk said she more than likely would NOT be able to get ahold of anybody to even look at it, less known service it.
Only other thing I had a problem with was the breakfast. I NEVER stay at a hotel with absolutely no breakfast. It’s a must that I eat SOMETHING with my meds in the morning.
Idk what they did differently with the eggs at this place since the last time I was here but they suck ass.
They were gross and floating in water.

I e been here several times.
My family rents the banquet hall and do a New Year’s party almost every year.
These eggs suck this time and I didn’t understand why.
I know they’re powdered eggs but they’ve NEVER tasted like this.

They forgot to clean the fridge. Half the bulbs didn't work proberly. The door had lots of light coming thru tol and sides. Tv cable wasn't secure.

The room was clean and all the employees were nice and helpful. The toilet in our room was extremely loud after flushing and stayed that way until it filled. The blankets aren't very warm.

Hotel was really nice and beds are super comfy. There’s a hot breakfast daisy and coffee is typically available throughout the day.. Tip: Tricky to access on Finley Road if you’re going North. But if you go North past Butterfield, do a U turn and go south, it’s easiest to access the BW drive.

I've stayed at this property 4 times since April. It's very convenient for my needs being only 5 minutes away from my final destination. Shopping in the area is incredible. Easy access to route 355,88 and 294

They have a party room across from the room we were staying in. Loud microphone and music blaring. The window wouldn't shut, so we duct taped it. Every evening coming back from being out, our key cards weren't working and had to walk around to the front in the freezing cold to get them to fix them EVERY NIGHT.

We were only there for one night, but everyone was pleasant, we had no problems with check in, the room was clean and breakfast was very nice. no coplaints at all.

When we checked in the staff person had 5 people wait for over 5 minutes while she did some type of check list. Then she gave us a room that was already occupied. When we got the new room, the bracket for the door lock did not work , so we slept with the ironing board propped against the door.

Everyone was very kind and friendly. Difficult to get to (only seems to be accessible from one direction). Nice, quiet, comfortable, clean rooms. TV volume only allowed to go to 40. Seems it should at least be 50. A little difficult for the hard of hearing.

The front desk people were very accommodating. It’s cute that they have good coffee and breakfast for guests every morning. What a great perk! The waffles are the best. This is our 4 stay at this specific property. We love it.

You CAN find better accommodations.
Booked a King room 2 weeks in advance. Got here and all they “had” available were 2 double beds. We were tired from a very long day on the road and accepted the room. Well worn carpet. HVAC system that would drown out a 747. The grout grooves in the bathroom were filled with dirt, lint, fingernail clippings, bits of paper and who knows what else. They had coffee available in the lobby 24/7, except when no one feels like replenishing it. The night we stayed,all the containers remained empty all night. We didn’t try the breakfast as it was too crowded and busy.
Our first stay here is also our last! We might even avoid the chain for future stays. You CAN do better!

The room was too hot and when we opened the window there was no screen and someone was parked below our window for hours sitting in the car which gave me a weird feeling. The TV did not work properly the first night. I am a senior and I did not feel comfortable taking a shower in that bathtub despite the handle on the wall.

Staff was super friendly, property was very clean in a safe, suburban area. Lot of typical chain restaurants nearby if that's your thing, a Portillo's right across the street was a bonus! Would definitely stay here again if in the Chicago area.

Very friendly and clean
Hotel staff was amazing. Very friendly and inviting, don't see this much anymore. Hotel was really clean, the only thing that "bothered" me was the musty smell in one area of the hallway, and the smell of marijuana in one area where people obviously just smoked. Everything else was great, would stay again.

I loved that check-in was easy and quick. My only issue was parking. It was a convention or some event that was going on in addition to people traveling so parking spaces were a little hard to find. I had a great stay and will be back soon.

I'm sorry but this hotel was terrible. It smells and it's very dirty. The room smelled like smoke and the restroom looked like it had never been cleaned. The wallpaper was peeling inside the restroom and the walls had mold. Additionally, there were some questionable stains on the bed. Trash was not removed for 2 days and beds were not made until after 2 days. The breakfast was okay but certainly did not make up for the rest. Parking was also limited and had to park in the back of the building where lighting was limited. Overall: DON'T STAY HERE!

I’ve stayed at this property for years. It’s super convenient , but I do think it’s time for some of the rooms to be updated. My boyfriend and I had a corner room and it was fine , the only issue we had was the ceiling. You could tell something was on the ceiling and instead of them properly repairing it properly,they just left it as is. So it made the room look very unappealing. Other than that our stay was fine.

Every time I go to Chicago I always stay here. Its 30-40 mins from Chicago but it’s worth staying here. Always affordable prices, clean, breakfast, and all staff are very kind. Keep it BestWestern! 🙏

We had a very nice 4 days stay. Room was clean. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. A lot of restaurant on a walking distance from the hotel. Going back to this area, I would go there again for sure.

I was disappointed because the reviews were all generally great. I think I was allergic to something in the room as I have dealt with hives all weekend. There was some sort of substance on the seat of the toilet. Overall it was just disappointing. Staff was very kind. Key cards malfunction easily.

Really nice staff, and they get the basics right - comfy bed, hot shower, quiet. But this building is showing lots of wear; marginal AC, shower Rod almost falling down, missed our request for maid service one day. Breakfast is sparse on choices, but you usually find something to eat.

The price was the most resaonable for the area and was was offered. Checkin was absolutely horrible. The clerk was very hard to be understood and kept making mistakes and we had to pay for 5 rooms (in advance). The other clerk had to take over eventually. Checkin took over an hour. The police had to be called a couple times on a guest who happened to be on the same floor we stayed on. The walls were paper thin. The rooms were nice and clean, but we probably won't stay here again.

A very nice place.
The staff were professional yet very kind. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfasts were tasty. Although next to two very busy highways, the rooms were quiet.
It was a shock that they wanted a $100 damage deposit from all guests.

Needs a few updates. I was a little taken back by the AC unit ..they need to be cleaned.. I seen some mold growing inside the unit from apparently from some food falling in.. .Very noisy bathroom fan . Hallway windows were very dirty as well as some water stained ceiling tiles that need attention as well... C Staff was Very Good!!

The good: Very helpful, friendly, desk staff including the manager. They are engaged in trying to make sure everyone has a good experience at the hotel. Also, room layout with desk was very well suited for working from the room on my computer and using the really big LG TV for a second monitor. Breakfast was a huge highlight. Good hot meals every day for the week we were there (plus cereal, make your own waffle, etc.). Good coffee.
The bad: Beds are small (our room had two beds that were probably full size but too small for me). Room conditions are hit and miss. Our first room's AC had a problem where it made the room unbearably humid and bed was so worn out it made my back hurt.. Helpful staff quickly found us another room, but it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Helpful staff again found another room, and it was fine. Location of hotel is not good for walking if you want to exercise or get to nearby restaurants. Big highway with no pedestrian crossing signals.
Verdict: Nice hotel for the money if you need to stay in Downers Grove and if you have a problem, the hotel staff will do their best to fix it.
