Birthday weekend visit
It was a great stay. The beds were a little uncomfortable. But no bed is like your own bed, right!! The staff were very responsive.

Good basic stay
This was a good basic stay. The staff ate all very friendly. Breakfast is a good. The hotel is clean. The pool area needs some updating. The mural in the pool area could definitely be updated.

After making my reservation 1 month In advance, paid in full, I get to the hotel and they tell me that they dont have a reservation for me, and they are sold out. Not what I needed after a 9hr drive. They did find me a room for the first night, but I ended up having to get a room at another hotel for the second night. According the front desk, I was the 5th person that day that had this problem with an Expieda reservation. Not sure who is to blame for this, but I’ve been using Expieda for years and never had a problem.

Nic hotel
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The card keys did not work well. Sometimes it took 7 or 8 times to get into my room. One morning at breakfast they tan out of syrup about 8 am. I would like to see oatmeal and bananas available. That would bring me back. The black lady who was there for breakfast was extremely helpful and nice!

We visit Dixon frequently and always stay at the quality inn . The rooms are Clean, quiet and that staff is wonderful.

I was worried about our dog staying with us. But the staff were very kind about it, and very welcoming. The hotel was clean. Our room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. The kids stated that the pullout couch was comfortable too! The pool was nice; a little deep for the water slide area. So make sure younger kids are wearing a life jacket or puddle jumper. Over all our experience was nice. Definitely would come back.

Very nice hotel . Breakfast was only served 1 day , so maybe check the schedule before you go . Whirlpool suite was huge . Right next to a Walmart .

No room separator in the suite
The suite is billed as having a separator between bed and fold out, but there is not an actual separator.

your hotel was nice , BUT
was a nice stay, but the music from the ball room was very loud, needed after nine to be turned down a little? the music was so loud, even our tv couldn't drown it out. was in a second-floor room and it rang in our room until 11:00pm.

The hotel room and pool facility are realy hot, temperature wise...and the noise in the hallway is very audible from inside the room. The pool facility is great for families, the breakfast was well prepared and the historical nature of the region displayed in the hotel is fantastic. Front desk service was fantastic, too...checkin and check out. Thanks.

This is our go-to hotel when visiting family from out of state. Rooms are clean, staff is nice, location is convenient, prices are just right, and the breakfast isn’t too bad.

Told the clerk at checkout that we were put in a room that stunk and had full size beds, rather than the queen beds we requested (and paid for). Also we informed the clerk that the included breakfast was not available 90 minutes prior to closing. The clerk had argued with us about the bed sizes, claiming that it was probably how they were manufactured and claimed the staff who was responsible for the breakfast became overwhelmed by the early demand and just gave up.

Ronald Reagan home was unexpected delight
Bedspreads had stains and the bathroom was clean but the overhead light was too dim. Also, the toilet seat had chips and repairs made to it. It would’ve been easier and cheaper in the long run to replace it. The front desk person in the morning was very helpful when we asked about the Ronald Reagan house, which was an unexpected delight.

Class Reunion trip
It was okay. The hotel is beginning to show some wear and tear. I know a couple of new hotels will be built across the street, so to be competitive, they may want to consider refreshing the hotel.

Like so many businesses these days, hotel was understaffed so service was not that great. They tried their best with what they had and were very apologetic. Breakfast was great, one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had lately.

From the moment I arrived, to the time of checkout, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was hot and better than your standard hotel breakfast foods. The room was clean and welcoming. The hotel is tucked very conveniently behind both a Pizza Hut AND a grocery store so you are walking distance from food and anything you may have forgotten to pack. The hotel is also located close to the freeway but not far from the heart of town, making it easy to get anywhere you were wanting to go.

The hotel was ok overall. Breakfast was inedable for the most part. Who knows what the eggs we’re making deer of, you couldn’t get the waffles off the waffle maker & the coffe was terrible. We had a plumbing issue & when we called the front seat they told us to come get the plunger. It was quite expensive for the service

Room was clean and well taken care of. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful! Breakfast was okay. Typical buffet style. Fake Eggs, waffles, sausage. If you’re from an area that has strong coffee then bring your own. Illinois coffee isn’t strong at all. Lol but the hotel and staff was great. We will return next year.

Great place to stay while traveling through Illinois. Fast check-in, comfy bed, plenty of space in the room, good breakfast, and EXCELLENT service. The employees are so friendly and willing to help!

This is an aging Quality Inn. Because it’s pet friendly , it smell that way. We paid $150 per night. At best this was an $80.00 per night room.

Loved the room with a two person jacuzzi and a nice separate area with a dining table and chairs. Only real ding was that the drapes were visibly stained (yuck) and we had to ask the front desk to have the jacuzzi cleaned out (looked like it had chemicals in it for cleaning it but never was finished.)
We will be back next time we are in the area.

The property is very hard to find the right door. And not accessible except through two driveways. The door that we were told to park at would not open with the key card. We had to call the desk to come let us in.

There were wads of womens hair stuck to the shower wall. The hot water in the shower didn't work. There was also a fire place in the room that didn't work.

We were arriving for a 2 pm funeral service and it was 10 am. The lady at the registration desk was able to get us a room for a small fee so we could at least change our clothes until the other room we had reserved as well was ready. This was greatly appreciated.

Good luck with breakfast
Good luck getting a hot breakfast. They serve until 10 am but at 830 there was no eggs no biscuits no gravy. I asked if there would be anymore eggs and the kitchen lady said they can only make 1 bag of eggs. She also said they are not even required to make a hot breakfast which is part of the advertisement for the room. Needless to say she was rude and I was very disappointed with the breakfast. Otherwise the pool is great.

The desk clerk was very helpful and knowledgeable, even about local dining spots. Whirlpool in room was an extra! Only downside was the awkwardness of the building layout. Checkin/out was ‘in a different building’ than were I stayed.

The staff at this motel was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was restful and the decorations and history from local places in Dixon made it very interesting. Even the pictures in our room were from specific places of interest in the area. We love the pool and look forward to coming back again with our grandchildren. The breakfast was superb .. hot and fresh. The beds were very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience.

One of the best low cost places I have ever stayed
I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed - the pool was clean and had a slide for the kids - the breakfast had a huge variety and was well prepared. I would stay at this place again and would let everyone I know about it. GREAT VALUE!

Great hotel
Booked this for a family visit, as my last quality inn stay at a different one, was not great,i was hesitant. But this hotel was awesome, cant say a bad thing bout it! Great staff, clean, kept up very well, great bkfst, wonderful swimming pool area, has a lil waterslide & a hot tub. Beds were comfy also, & while i dont often comment on showers, this 1 was awesome!!

Has a great pool. Clean and functional albeit cozy room. Perfect for one person. Okay for two. Mini-fridge and microwave, a/c and heat all worked great. Single cup coffee/tea appliance barely passable. Should have brought my 4 cup Mr. Coffee. Excellent curtains. And on the con side - it has a great pool. Lots of noisy kids running about. Low water pressure in shower. The smells of indoor pools.

Wasnt given any info about the place or the room didn't know there was no continental breakfast with a toddler

We stayed on the 1st floor this time. My hubby said the bed was not comfortable. Maybe need new beds? Other thsn that, we always stay at Quality. Our daughter lives in Mt. Morris and goes to college in Dekalb.

Nice hotel, noisy guests
The room was very nice and roomy. The walls are extremely thin and we had “partiers” both nights of our stay. The first night someone must have had friends/family in our hallway. They kept going to the door and knocking and saying “Room Service” and then everyone laughter. The second night, they must have been drunk because they slammed into the connecting door so hard it shook the room. Someone talked on the phone very loud into wee hours of the night. Poor night’s sleep both nights

Friendly staff. The common areas were extremely clean and orderly. Breakfast area kept stocked and clean. Pool area had lots of fresh towels. Loved that there was a slide and hot tub available to guest. This was our first time staying here and we commented that we'd definitely be back in a couple months.

The pool was a great surprise. I knew there was a pool but didn't realize it had a slide and fountain. My kids loved it! Also, greatly enjoyed the double queen suite. It fit my family perfectly.

The suite was great, but the pool was closed and there was nothing but packaged foods for breakfast due to covid which was not their fault. But as far as the pool, that was why I booked that hotel and we should have gotten discounts.
