The location of The Beekman Tower was excellent for walking to all the NYC's main attractions. The apartment was a good size, a little bit tired but still good value for money. The aircon in the bedroom was noisy though! We were allowed a later check out by 2 hours which we really appreciated. We'd definitely stay here again and would recommend.

We are a family of 5. We found the Beekman by accident and we could not be happier we did . Three teenage daughters and bathroom space is a issue . This suite came with two actual bedrooms and a pull out couch . We used the dinning table for doing hair and make up and it was perfect ! The unit was clean , basic, but all we needed bc we were on the go . The staff at the BT were very helpful and friendly ! We will be staying here again !!

That was brutal. I wondered why the price was so good, and now I know. The heating/AC is a disaster. All night long, it sounded like a popcorn machine. Awful. And the air conditioner had a mind of its own, so it was a very hot night. Next time I will bite the bullet and spend the money for a decent hotel.

I expected more from the hotel/ property. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a Wi-Fi problem. It took three hours to solve it. The way the hotel rooms are set up. Our door and the next room door were right beside each other. Because the doors were so close we had to listen to a child next door scream and hell for hours. To make it even worst we got to hear the parent yell at the child. To make this stay even worst was we had to smell the next rooms cooking. All our clothes and the bed sheets smelt like fish and grease.
The rooms was big compared to most hotel rooms in NYC. The location was also perfect to explore the city.

This is a nice Apart Hotel that we have been to before. This time however the bed’s mattress was warn tending to a somewhat uncomfortable U shape and the heating/ac unit did not seem to respond to our settings. Hopefully these were room specific issues.

Our studio was as expected (as per promo pictures) and clean (not true for public spaces - a coffee? spill in the elevator was there when we arrived and still there when we left)
Kitchen was not well equipped only two of each for cutlery, glasses, dishes and only one dishwasher soap provided. Had no ice cube tray so asked desk where we could get ice. Was told that the hotel does not supply ice. Was told that we could go out and buy some.
Made a comment about no ice on the registration questionnaire and was told that we should ask for “another” ice cube tray at the front desk. Asked and finally got one. Why was one not offered when we originally asked about ice? Net, net, morning/afternoon desk person very pleasant and helpful; late afternoon/evening desk person the opposite.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but if you do choose to stay, note that this really is a no service hotel.

We loved the space and comfort of our one bedroom. The location was quiet; yet accessible to public transportation. The front desk personnel were very helpful and went out of their way should a problem arise. I would strongly recommend this hotel. The only downside was that the bed was hard and the bathroom tiny; however I realized this is NYC where space is limited.

Beekman for a family gathering
Had a family reunion. Our 3 bedroom unit had 2 1/2 baths, which was not clear from any of the room info, but much appreciated. Great location, views, comfortable rooms and furniture. Everything looked pretty fresh and well maintained. Minor issues like a toilet paper holder coming loose and like all hotel rooms, not enough rods to hang towels. Friendly desk staff.

I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a place to stay in New York. If you’re looking for suites, It’s perfect for family, also for sharing with other adults. Rooms are decent sizes for New York stay, they are comfortable and adequate spaces around the suites for everyone to move about.
The block is close to subway - 15 minutes from grand central station and 9 minutes from 51st street subway. The area is safe for walking to and from different parts of Manhattan.
Staff are also very helpful and engaging. So glad we found this place!

The hotel fitness room and business lobby area was clean. The entrance to the hotel, was dirty as was the doors and elevators.
We had issues with WI-FI due to the fact that the paper given to us, hand the wrong password. Because there is no password, it’s just the telephone number that is used as a password. The paper that was printed it had a password it had a network name and it was a waste of time.
There were no sofa beds as I was told there would be. There was a couch and a lounger and the kids slept on that.
The hotel was over run with water bugs and roaches. The laundry room was flooded.
When I notified them they wanted to come and kill the bugs. Well that was already taken care of. What I wanted was not to have them “.”.
The elevators dirty, the entrance doors dirty.
The security people lovely.

This is why I love big apples!
A true New York experience. The property is located a block north of the United Nations and a few blocks away from the ferry on the east side of Manhattan. Close to everything! Superb customer service. Quiet lodging…Great for sleeping!

TLDR: Great for spacious stays or families willing to look past some cleanliness details.
I really wanted to root for this property, here is my list:
Pros: - Showerhead- wow, best ever? rainfall size but the pressure was ~chef's kiss~
- Good sized room for wanting some down time from the chaos of NYC
- Safe area- right next to the UN, not a ton of dining options within a few blocks, but felt safe
- Staff- they were helpful and seemed to be trying
Cons:
- The floors: very gross. Half the apartment was sticky and the carpet was well-worn. I wore a pair of white socks while in the apartment for our 4 night stay, and by the end they were nearly black. I passed the housekeeping cart on my way out once and it seems they were only using a Swiffer and a vacuum, not mopping between guests. In the tile areas you can clearly see the color the grout used to be versus the color it is now. I believe this to be because the hotel is not able to afford more housekeeping staff. On one evening, we requested more towels to the room and had to pick them up from the front desk ourselves because "they do not have housekeepers in the evening."
- we stayed on the third floor and there was a smell to the whole floor. I couldn't pin-point it, not quite a musk, not quite a food, but was overpowering during our entire stay.
- The mattress was the firmest mattress I have EVER slept on. Obviously very old, I honestly think a cot would have had more give.

Great haven
Had a great if exhausting vacation in New York. The Beekman Towers was a haven in which to rest after many busy days. Having a sofa and kitchen was a godsend. The staff were always helpful and efficient. Location was good, close to amenities and transport, and even a cocktail bar on the 26th floor with stunning views.

The property is very nice but management is so so. The hotel could not provide soap for 4 days even though the 3rd day we got an email that it finally was available at the reception desk, only to learn that the message was a mistake. The attitude was a blase, well there is nothing we can do about the problem.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Beekman towers. The view from our room on level 21 was amazing over the river and city. The room was very clean and all amenities were great. Hector and the other staff at the front desk, where very friendly and helpful. You also get free use of the laundry room and there’s a gorgeous rooftop bar.

Perfect spot!
The staff was so friendly and welcoming! The location was so perfect for all of our Manhattan sightseeing; close to subway/bus right outside, amazing food all around the neighborhood, walking distance to so many things like 5th ave and time square! Room was so nice and had almost everything I needed in the kitchen for basic cooking too. Would recommend to anyone!

The building is a beautiful art deco style. The inside seems to be under construction. The beds are old and small, lighting is bad, pull out couch mattress was only springs. The size was perfect for our family but in need of a major overhaul.

The Beekman Tower is in a quiet and safe area of midtown Manhattan. It was easy to catch a taxi to tourist spots. Lots of dining and shopping options around. The condo is spacious enough for 3 people. Very comfortable.

Lumpest bed We've ever slept on! Mildew in shower; Heater made a clicking sound whenever the unit was on! There are 3 elevators on the property, one is exclusive for their rooftop bar, and one of the other 2 had a giant trash bin (hotel under renovation) and was left turned off, leaving only 1 elevator to use, especially in the evenings! It was inconvenient

The room smelled horrible. The carpet in the bedroom was filthy. It looked as it had not been cleaned in a very long time. The sheets had hair on them. We had to buy new sheets and disinfect the apartment to even feel comfortable to stay there.

The location and staff of the hotel are great, but the heaters are not up to par. We had to change rooms after three sleepless nights due to the old heater system making noise all night. The staff and reservations manager were great and did all in their hands to get the situation resolived as quickly as possible.
I did nonetheless notice there were other customers have raised the same concern. If this issue could be resolved, the hotel would be perfect.

Walkable location but not clean enough
The Hotel staff was courteous and the location very walkable. But it was dirty. Hairballs on the couch and in pillows. The extra linens were filthy. It put a damper on the experience and we would not stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Beekman Tower. When I checked into an apartment on my first night, I found a cockroach crawling out of the bathtub. The staff was quick to respond and sent someone to kill it who also gave me some sticky tiles to place in the bathroom. Also, when I emailed the manager about the situation, she quickly responded stating that I would be put in another room. The staff is receptive and very friendly, and I love the amenities at the property. I plan on staying at the Beekman Tower again!

We loved the location of the apartment, it was in a quiet part of town and in a safe area. It was close to transport links. The staff were very polite and helpful and we made a lot of use out of the coffee machine in the lobby!!
The apartments were more basic than shown in the images so definitely not as luxurious as it was made out so not sure it was worth the money but New York is very expensive. The apartment was well equipped in the kitchen, it was clean and everything worked. The beds need attention as they were very noisy and not overly comfortable. Overall a good stay.

On the website the 1 bedroom apartment photos looks nothing like the bare apartment we had. No rug, old furnishings etc. Expensive and misleading.
No bedding for the sofa bed even though I requested that we would be using it. Had to wait to collect it.
Would not be staying or recommending this place.

Best Apartments for a family stay in Manhattan
We were supposed to be here for 5 nights but we extended our stay for 4 nights more. We (family of 5) stayed in a 2 bed 1 bath apartment which was excellent. Apartments are well designed spacious and comfortable. It has everything you need for your stay including a kitchenette, tea/coffee machines etc and if you don’t have tea/coffee powder there’s a coffee machine at the lobby which you can use at your convenience. Location is amazing close to all places of interest but the best part about the property is it’s staff. Very helpful and friendly. Overall a very good experience.

Tge 2 bedroom apartment was plenty for a family of 4 adults who basically needed a place to sleep and spread out. That said, the beds were terrible. We call them “taco beds” because the middle of the bed is caving in resulting in us rolling towards the middle all night. For the price we paid, next time we will stay closer to Time Square and get a comfy bed by Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt.

Overall the beekman tower was a nice place to stay. It’s a little tucked away in comparison to other nyc hotels and we enjoyed that. The price was a good value. They have a beautiful rooftop bar on the 26th floor that is a must see! My only complaints would be the AC in our room didn’t work that well and it got hot at times. There also isn’t daily housekeeping so you need to request more towels if you need them. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Subway: 3 blocks up, 2 blocks over. 2nd ave (a block west) is loaded with dining and drinking options. Grand Central is a short walk 8 blocks or subway to 51st & walk over). So their location is great considering anything closer to GCT is $75 per night more expensive. Our room was lovely with very slight maintenance issues (I am a stickler for these things). Buy milk ahead of time because there is none on site for coffee (24hr deli around the block). Sani wipes or a spray bottle in the guy would have been a comforting touch, especially nowadays. Front desk staff were very friendly and polite, as was the elevator security/doorman for Ophelia (rooftop lounge).

Booked this stay for my friend who was visiting for my birthday, very disappointed. The carpet throughout the unit was stained yellow and reeked of urine, the living room air conditioner only blew hot smelly air, and the toilet screamed at us all evening. My surprise birthday delivery was ruined due to the lack of staff support/ availability. These complaints were given to the receptionist Ayman but he was unable to assist us with ANYTHING due to the lack of resources made available to him while being the only staff on duty. Mr. Ed, the handyman/receptionist *, was delightful and the only staff able to assist with basic amenities. Solaman also assisted us to the car and his sense of humor made our check out process lovely.

Excellent location with 30 min walk to Times Square and 20 min walk to subway to get anywhere. Great restaurants in area. Staff at front was hit and miss- from very helpful (Ed we love you and thank you for all your great recommendations) to downright rude. This is more of a rental than hotel. There is no daily service. We were not expecting to take out our own garbage. We requested fresh towels and more trash liners and never received. Great location but less service than we’d expected.

Property is not well taken care of. Furniture, sofas and carpets not clean. Even though it was sold to us as a non-smoking property, there was a strong, constant stench of cigarette smoke coming into the room, probably through the ventilation systems, especially in the bathroom, attached to the bedroom. Having a kid with asthma and having asthma myself, it made it very hard for us to sleep and feel comfortable while in the room. The laundry room was filthy and the floors filled with water. The heating systems made terrible noises that kept waking us up in the night. Terrible stay!

Location was great with lots of restaurants within walking distance. However, I experienced a lot of cons during my stay. WiFi and TV would cut out occasionally. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and felt very worn out to the point where I woke up with back aches. The heater made very loud noises at random times and would wake me up every night.

The property had a unique, historical atmosphere in a very nice neighborhood. The room was sizable and clean with good amenities. There was also the rooftop bar which offers one of the most amazing view in NYC with great food and drinks.

Dirty room - super basic - great staff
We chose this hotel for its apartment and COVID standards. Our FIRST room was absolutely filthy - big holes in the carpet, food and spider webs in corners, etc. Management did change our room the next day. The bed was horrible, a cleaning rag was left in the tub, but at least we didn't have to use as many Clorox wipes to clean it.
Hector, front desk, was AMAZING! He was friendly, supportive and made the time to make a connection with my family. Sara and Marissa did a fabulous job communicating with us and made the arrangements to have us change rooms.
I'd suggest making sure your room is what you requested and reach out if you are not happy.

We had a wonderful stay here. The building and 1-bedroom apartment were nicely updated. There is a wonderful 24-hour bodega right next door that was so convenient and the staff there were so lovely and kind. There are a ton of restaurants very close by - we recommend CAVA the wine bar a block away! This room would be perfect for a couple, however we had 3 adults and it was our understanding that there was a sofa bed, but it’s actually just a sofa. It is quite comfortable (actually more comfortable than the bed!) but they did not provide us with an extra pillow, blanket, or sheets for the sofa. We asked upon check in and were told they would have them waiting at the front desk. When we stopped by later, there was a different person at the front desk and he didn’t have them and claimed he couldn’t leave to get us any since he was there alone. We ended up taking the top sheet off the bed and using one of the pillows from the bed, and it was fine but it would have been nice to have a pillow and blanket provided since we booked the room for 3 people. The queen bed was very hard and not comfortable for side sleepers! The only other negative is it’s a bit far from a subway station, the closest is 5 blocks away and another one is 7 blocks away. Overall, we were comfortable here and enjoyed our stay!

Good location, but facilities need updating
The apartment comfortably fit our family of 5. But there was a lot of paint peeling off the walls, many of the blinds didn’t function properly and there should be more housekeeping for visits over 2 days. The bedding for the sofa bed didn’t fit properly.
The doormen were very helpful and welcoming and we felt safe. For the price the facilities should be in better shape.

Not as nice as the photos
The lobby is clean and modern, and there’s a trendy rooftop bar. But our “studio apartment” was tiny, with old, battered furniture, a dirty window and very little in the way of dishes and utensils. Coffeemaker still had coffee grounds and a half carafe of coffee in it. Weekly housekeeping, we didn’t see anyone in our 4 days/3 nights. I will say the front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and the location on 1st Ave. is very convenient.
