Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious.
The only problem was operating the controls on the heating/cooling unit in the room. Ultimately, just turned it off.

Pet odors both times I stayed here....
I stayed at this hotel 2 times this month and both rooms had the scent of "dog" - I asked the front desk if they had rooms designated for pets. She replied no - all the rooms are allowed to have pets. This is unfortunate for those who of us who have allergies to pet dander. Also for people who have reactive airway disease -- scents can trigger respiratory distress reaction. I know many hotels have designated floors or rooms for pets and I get that. I was very disappointed to hear that this Hampton Inn in Palatka allows pets in ALL rooms. Disappointing!
Otherwise the stay was good. This hotel is starting to show wear and tear but it's still the nicest hotel in Palatka.

I never leave negative reviews, but having to wait 20 minutes to just have a chance to check in, particularly during early evening, is ridiculous.

I booked 2 rooms with Expedia. After checking out and looking at my Amex
bill I noticed I was also charged by the hotel for the two rooms. I was double charged. They refunded one of the rooms still waiting on them to refund the other one..

One night stay
Beautiful hotel in front of the water. Nice rooms, excellent bathroom, very clean. Breakfast was included; I need to eat gluten free and there were not carbs gluten free, it will be my only suggestion, to add gluten free muffins or similar upon request. Very recommended 👌

A Hidden Gem
We are happy to have selected the Hampton Inn in Palatka. We booked 3 rooms for our family to go to the Palatka Craft Beer Festival, which was happening right next to the hotel. We were able to check-in early and not miss a minute of the festival. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel in very nice condition. We will book there again. BJ

East Palatka Hampton
This Hampton property was wonderful. Although, they could not take my AAA card for the discount because it was booked through a 3rd party. Next time I will book directly with the property. The staff were wonderful, accommodating, friendly, and went beyond duty to make sure our stay was great! The bathroom is equipped with all the soap, shampoo, condition, hand soap, and body lotion you need. They are health conscious products that are clean and natural. Love that! Will stay here again for sure. They have a nice full breakfast as well. The only thing I can say, is the toilet seat was loose. We only stayed one night and told the front desk. They sent someone to fix it right away. I do have maybe one complaint about the property, they only have two luggage carriers to bring the bags to and from the car to the room. So, when I went to check out, I had to wait 15 minutes to get a cart to load our “stuff”. Other than that a five star rating for sure! Love the Hampton.

Hotel with a View
This hotel is very nice. It is in a prime spot right on the St Johns river and if you get the water view WOW is all i can say. The beds are amazing and the pillows ( i wanted to take them home), breakfast was great and all the staff were so nice and so helpful.

Overall a good experience but they are still using Covid as an excuse for being cheap on things like coffee creamer and the complimentary chocolate chip cookies that they used to have. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

The staff themselves was amazing! But the hotel was not upto Hampton standards! I was executive housekeeper for Hampton in Tenn for 5 years and was very disappointed in this hotel. The duvet cover was stained, bath tub had no water pressure and could not use the tub because water would constantly drain. There was no microwave in our room and every hotel i have ever stayed at even the run down ones at least had microwave but I was informed that only the suites had them and at 180$ a night for a basic room I would at least expect a microwave.

Nice place
Very good. No problems. Clean room with excellent river views. Parking is good had no issues finding a place. Quiet room with good amenities. Didn't swim but nice outdoor pool area away from the public view.

The hotel is nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. There's not too much to do near the hotel. Many of the local stores are closed within walking distance. Nice view of the St John's River. Hard to find places to eat nearby, but there are a few and some fast food type restaurants.

Beware of the parking lot sprinklers

Feels older than it should. Smells of mildew. Signs of water damage and during a down pour, the sound of water cascading in the wall… I thought it was the neighbor’s shower at first, but no one was staying in the room (I was on top floor)

This hotel was a nice surprise. Great location on a bay with a nice park next door and several choices for dinning and drinks next door. Truly pleasant. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

Enjoy your own town
It was amazing. Waterfront. Beautiful walks, nature and views. Food, Drink, Arts and Entertainment all within walking distance. Chillax around the pool (with an accessible lift seat). Great breakfast. On Site parking included.

Newer on the river. Staff was great. Thermostat didn’t work. Had to unplug unit to control the temp. Was told that all rooms were this way. Not sure that I believe that. TV is in the middle of the room not facing the bed or couch and not on a swivel. We were in a handicapped accessible room but the switches in the toilet/shower room were inside and behind the door. Not sure who designed or approved this. But almost unable to reach if you had disability or in a wheelchair. Great view of the river.

Fantastic stay and service!
My boyfriend and I wanted a quick get away from the hustle and bustle of Orange Park and Jacksonville along with our pup and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything from the check-in, to breakfast and every employee that we encountered was fantastic. Palatka really is a hidden gem and we highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back!

Loved the view from my room and how well kept this property was the only problem i had was the bathroom shower had and when we first got to our floor and room it felt moist. The staff was fantastic and always helpful.

Nice staff and close to the river. We came out for the Blue Crab festival so it was super convenient and a nice to have a place to cool down. It was a little challenging to get to the hotel since so many roads were closed for the vendors. I'm sure when the festival is not happening it is really easy to get too. We might come down another weekend to visit the state park near by and explore the river walk and town a little more.

Room floors are filthy, water was in the bathroom floor, used bath mat to wipe up, absolutely filthy. These floors haven’t been moped forever. After room service we weren’t given a replacement bath mat. The breakfast room ran out of coffee at 8am, seriously??. The woman at checkout was not friendly and mentioned it was the end of her shift, very apparent. No water available in the room, nor in the lobby except for purchase. The breakfast attendant on 4/6/22 was very friendly and conscientious.

Lost reservation
Went to checkin and our reservation was lost. The front desk staff was unable to help. They said the hotels.com confirmation number does nothing in their system, it would have to be a Hampton confirmation number. She suggested we call hotels.com but said they were sold out anyways so it would not secure us a room. We went elsewhere for the night. I do feel like the front desk staff tried to help, she looked through all the reservations and apologized. It seemed to be a system failure between hotels.com and Hampton.

Pleasant from beginning to end
I cannot think of a single negative issue! Checking in was quick & easy with the lady at the front desk who was super friendly & accommadating. My room had a fantastic river view & was very clean! The bed was extremely comfortable & as well as the lounge chair that was by the window. There were more then enough outlets around the room so I always had somewhere to charge my phone & laptop. Check out was just as pleasant as check in! The only thing I hated was leaving!

The staff were pleasant and breakfast was very good but I heard people in another room snoring, talking, bathroom noises, etc. My room was cold, water pressure in the shower was poor, and the toilet lid would not stay up. Not what I usually expect from a Hampton Inn.

Very loud - not much sleep
Check in was great. Room was clean. Bed & pillows were comfortable. The walls were thin - heard people around us partying until 1 am . Then the trash dumpster was dropped off at 5 am ! Sounded like the building collapsed ! 4 hrs sleep !
