Our room stank. The shower had hair in it. The water never got hot. The bed was fine. It was not what I expected for the money.

Our keys did not work 2 of 3 nights we stayed-when we called the front desk no one answered. The staff working then came through the front door from the gas station about 10 minutes later (therefore, no one was on property to assist anyone) No apology, but they made sure we knew how to work the hotel keys and assured us they were not gone for 10 min. Rude.

I would highly advise going somewhere else.
I would advise to say somewhere else. The outside of the hotel had trash everywhere and there were paint buckets and brushes laid out with no workers present. First room AC was broken and the walls still had tape on them from painting. The shower had a cockroach in it and the sheets were stained. Requested a different room with working AC and when we entered, there was a fan blowing because there was fresh paint. You should not be giving customers rooms that are still being renovated. Sleeping in the rooms with the strong smell of paint was awful. Will not be staying here again.

I paid Expedia for my stay at Quality Inn Plant City - Lakeland and when checking in on 11-0-2023 they didn’t have record or my reservation and they were booked with no room. I tried connecting with Expedia and had no luck. Thankfully the Holiday Inn Express Hotel a block away was able to accommodate me!

Quality Inn is not what this hotel was! The four adults in our party were there for three days and two nights in two separate rooms. Both nights, workers staying there in four different rooms would fix the door stop to prevent the door from closing. Instead, it sounded like someone slamming the door every time it was opened. A few seconds later, the same sound came from a different room down the hall. This went on from 5 pm until after midnight both nights. Complaining to the desk fell on deaf ears.
Also, the elevator had a stench that we could not determine the source. The floor showed evidence of not cleaned for several days. The floor in our room was the same way. I didn't realize it until I got in the shower and noticed the black water from my feet. I confirmed it was the floor by taking a wet wash cloth and towel my shower to rewash the bottom of my feet. After walking from the shower to the bedroom area (about 25 feet), the cloth turned black justifying my suspicions of the floor.
The pool was a welcome relief, until we discovered beer bottles on the bottom. Needless to say, we did not enter the pool.
The advertised "Continental Breakfast" was very sparce. Only a few items were set out at a time. There were an abundance of cereal choices but very little milk. Four bananas were in the basket. When one was taken, a fresh banana replaced it! Besides juice and coffee, very little else was offered.
In my opinion, this hotel should be removed from the Expedia web site.

Don't waste your money
Calling this hotel disgusting would be a understatement. Wish I could upload photos of how disgusting this place is. The beds were stained the sheets were yellow chicken wing bones on the floor next to the bed. Just a horrible experience

It was an on okay stay ..hotel seems to be going thru some renovations ..poor renovation if you ask me ..lots of noise and banging could be hear on the walls next to my room which was literally by the entrance...lots of noise and people walking all the time ..lots of lights on after dark ..bathroom had the toilet running water all night ...yellow stained bowl not pleasing to the eye ..and some of the "renovated " trim was poorly done. .probably gonna skip next time ..

A male staff member tried to walk in my room while I was undressed ... Luckily I had it double locked but I did not feel comfortable at all. Also I had a small personal problem arise where a former guest I had at my room caused a bit of a scene when he was told to leave. The manager became extremely rude with me when I called down to kindly ask if he had left the property. She very rudely advised me that I would have to leave and receive no refund if the former guest continued to cause a scene even though I'd asked him to leave and called her to inform her and ask her to not allow him back in. I just apologized to her once again for his actions as I had already paid for my stay in advance. I don't think I'll be returning here as staff and management are very rude and unprofessional. The only staff member that was good at her job was the nice black women who works mostly nights at the front desk.

Don’t waist your time here
The staff were rude and hard to understand. The mold in the room made us sick. Everything smelled like mold. Not worth the money. Bullet type hole in the window and locks didn’t work on doors. Never stay her

Both of us had allergy symptoms that cleared up when we left. We suspect animal dander was the cause since that is the only allergen that we share in common. The rooms need some deep cleaning.

The bath tub was very old looking and the water was constantly running slow and could not be turned off. I was just staying overnight or I would have asked for another room. The staff was very friendly and happy that I reported the problem.
I was going to a concert at the Strawberry Festival and they had made a map on how to get to the festival which avoided local gridlock in the area which was a great extra!

The hotel is very BAD!!!
The hotel was not clean at all in the rooms. The a/c unit rattled. We decided to try the pool. It was also dirty. Leaves me dirt on the bottom and floating on top. The deck was not clean at all!!! There was a guest?? I guess was laying by the pool smoking marijana the whole time we were out there. It got so bad that we left the pool. There were people hanging around the in the parking lot. When we can back from dinner. There were more transients hanging around. The back door to the pool deck and out side to the parking lot was never locked. You were supposed to use your key to get into the building. A combination of the lack of cleanliness and scary looking transients entering and leaving the building. We did not feel Safe at all for my husband, 12 year old daughter and my self!!! We left the hotel at 6:09pm. I would not Ever recommend this hotel again. I would suggest someone go look at the hotel and check it out. I am now very Leary if booking through Hotels.com again.

Nice staff, but sub par accommodations
Looks very nice on the outside, but the rooms smell like mold, the hallway spelled like marijuana and the bathroom had mold in the shower. A interior gut is definitely needed.

The check in staff when we tried to check in early was not very friendly at all. She had an attitude with us. The room had ants on the floor. When we got home we noticed that they charged us twice for the pet fee. When I called them to talk to them about it the guy said prove it.

Called to inform them that I would be a late check in. Was told that if I wasn't here by 11:00 p.m. to call so they could check me in and not list me as a no-show. I've been sitting in the lobby for 10 minutes waiting for someone to check me in and it's going to be 11:00 p.m. in about 15 minutes. I expect this from the lower price hotels but for the amount of money I paid for this one I'm not a fan already.

This place had mold around the bathtub and in the corners of the floor. The whole room smelled musty. The a/c filter had never been changed. The top sheet had make up smeared on it. All the towels and sheets were dingy. You could smell pot in the hallways. The shower was just a sprinkle and never did get hot. Room 212. Will never go to another Quality Inn. They used to be nice.

Expedia - you should remove this hotel from your listing. Soiled sheets, dingy towels, molding shower, soled carpet, unpleasant odor hit you as soon as you walk into the lobby. An old worn out tuck stop- not for family or anyone to to stay there. I took pictures - would you like to see them?

Never Again!!!!!!!
Not only will i never stay at this hotel again, but i will never book at a Quality Inn ever again. Front Desk Staff was as helpful as she could be,,,,it was only so much could be done by her when i informed her of the smell and discovery of the molded chair that was awaiting me upon paying $194.00 for a room for only one night....management told me they could give me a $25 discount but no other room was available.

When you have people living in The hotel that always create a problem for other guess and present danger as well. The sheets had stains, the towels were stained no hot water.. mildew growing in the shower.. just not a great stay. Very disappointed.

The best part about my stay was the woman at the front desk who was friendly, courteous and competent.
The room had an odor about it that gave me the impression it was not clean (almost to the point I was afraid to sleep under the covers or use the pillows).
Also, the shower stall fixture never really shut-off (no matter how hard I turned the handle), so the ADA-compliant bathroom stood in a large puddle of water.
Thankfully, I only rented the room to sleep and shower, or I would've been mightily annoyed, rather than just disappointed...

Disgusting and filthy- 0 reply from management.
It was terrible. I contacted management and choice hotels. There was dried dog poop in the corner under the chair- my 4 year old grandson found it while playing. The carpet was so stained and sticky that we had to wear socks and shoes. The ice machine was disgusting. I have pictures of the filth. I requested a refund and have not had a response.

There was no room key, so staff had to let me in and propped open the door for me to bring in my belongings. The outside side/exit door was propped open also. There was a strong mildew smell in the room, as well. I did not feel safe.

Nicer in the pictures
When we checked in, the key programming machine wasn’t working so we were unable to get a room key. We had to be escorted to the room for them to let us in every time we left. The carpets were badly stained. The sheets and pillow cases were stained and discolored. The faucet in the tub was loose and would not shut off. It trickled water all night. The bed was comfortable enough to get sleep for the night, but I won’t be staying there again.

Thankfully will never stay here again.
Well first I notice the floors are dirty and the elevator is dirty. A misty odor everywhere. I put the card in my door and two hispanic men are eating Doritos, drinking Pepsi and watching tv. Poor guys were invaded by me by accident. Not a comfortable situation. I get another room but smells of must and strange cleaning supply odor. The bed mattress cover sheet had some small grease stains. Had I not been so tired, I would have fled, but I only rented because I was falling asleep driving almost. The coffee machine tray belongs to another machine and did not fit so I had to improvise to drink some coffee in the morning. Basically a step up from a fleabag motel, but that is being generous.I never write complaints but this seems like a hotel that once may have been a decent place back in the day but has fallen under lazy management. Or if I were to be kinder, perhaps their funding is mismanaged or hurt by the economy. They do allow dogs which can be nice for people that want to take their companions on a trip. I’m not a bitter person but I hope this helps them maybe step up their game for future customers and their employees that have to deal with it.

The whole arrival was confusing. Building had a comfort inn sign, it looked like a construction site with causation tape everywhere. Lifts, trucks, roof had tarps covering it.
I did not know if I was in the right place.
Then the room was in no condition to be rented out.
Stains on chairs, hole in doors, sloppy paint job walls/ceiling.
Then Sunday morning hammering on roof started at 8am. My poor mother in law woke up to construction works out side her window as this was their the location of the lay down area with equipment.
No breakfast in the morning, was very disappointing overall for the price we paid. This was a $50 experience not a $110 experience. This owner/company should be ashamed to have rented rooms in these conditions.

heavy mold smell, found mold and water leak in room. shower was gross wouldn't fully shut off after shower. no room cleaning while staying (do not disturb wasn't on door either) i had to wake up every few hours to walk outside to get fresh air the room was that bad. A friend had to change there room 2 times due to the same issue.

Don’t stay here!
Upon check-in the hotel had already charged our card for the night. Hotels.com says the card won’t be charged until check-in. What if I wanted to use a different card?! The bathroom is filthy. Mold in the shower. The walls have been warped by water. The anti-slip on the tub was so dirty we had to wear crocs so our feet didn’t touch the nasty filth. Will never stay here again.

No worth the money
First off the only thing saying it is a quality inn is a sign hanging over a comfort inn sign and the building says comfort inn. When checking in the lady at the desk I could tell was hating her job and didn’t give me details which would of been helpful seeing as *THEY DO NOT SERVE BREAKFAST* and only found out as we were ready for breakfast and the person at the desk said we get a denny’s discount the problem is I wouldn’t of paid this much for a room without free breakfast.

When I checked in I was under the impression they had breakfast in the morning and the pool was open the pool was really dirty and there was no breakfast..the room also had mold in the window on the window and in the bathroom

Unfortunately, not a memorable experience!
Very disappointed in this hotel, rooms were in bad condition, major upgrades needed. Carpet stains, bathrooms not so nice, didn't use showers for that reason. Our guests in another room were very upset and disappointed also. But understand a huge challenge for owners to renovate with so many cosmetic issues. But the help was excellent and very attentive.

Room smelled musty/damp. This always concerns me because of the potential for mold and legionnaires disease from dirty ac filters. Stayed here because it was cheap everything was expensive because of the sun and fun fly-in. You get what you pay for.

No “large” dogs
Although it says the hotel is dog friendly, it doesn’t allow dogs that you can’t carry in a purse. Apparently normal sized dogs pee and poop everywhere (and the little terrorizers don’t). So basically it’s cat friendly. Luckily, the manager (who’s been in the hospitality business for 12 years and has never seen a hotel allow dogs larger than 50 pounds - he’ll tell you) allowed us to stay since I booked off this website and couldn’t get a proper refund. But yeah - came down here from the Midwest and stayed in 3 different hotels on my way who welcomed me and my average sized dog with open arms. Other than that, it was fine.

My stay was extremely poor and unacceptable. The room floor wasnt clean there were stains along the carpet. There was a open used container of Deodorant on the bed along with hair. The bathroom was left with a tub cleaning substance bottle and mold around the rim of the tub. The services and the room was Completely unacceptable for a price incease of $280 a night. The breakfast provide was a clear bag which contained a fruit, a granola bar, and another item. I would never recommend this location to anyone.

Very Disappointed!!!!
At check in i was not allowed to do so...i had to have an amenities fee of 150$ on top of 250$ for the room...it had to be paid i either all cash or all credit...i had a combination of both but they would not accept it...it was one or the other. So we could not stay!!!

Tile falling off bathroom walls, in our accessible room NO grab bars in tub area, room smell, light not working, outlets in light not working, holes in walls/doors, no breakfast as advertised, no service to rooms( unless we asked for it the night before. All above not mentioned prior to booking.

Our room looks as if an amateur painted. The condition of the room in general was not appealing as it just looked very old and unkept. Example, our shower had what looked like a mat in the tub. We stepped in and the mat slid and I almost fell and so did my husband. The mat was not a suction mat (as I originally thought) but a piece of white contact paper they stuck to the bottom of the tub and the front half came unglued which is why it was sliding. So we had to pull the whole contact paper out to shower and be safe from falling. Under the paper was tub rust stains they were trying to hide. I'm glad we were only there one night otherwise we would have switched hotels.

Was a nice place. Had reservations for 2 nights. Feb. 14 & 15. Only stayed Feb. 14, had to check out on the 15th and head back to Ohio. Had a family emergency. Would like a refund for the night we did not stay. That would be the night of Feb. 15th. Thank you.

The window on the 2nd floor was able to open fully with no screen. I have never been to a hotel that this was the case. I found it very unsafe. My daughter also found a sewing needle on the carpet. Thankfully she didn’t step on it. The chair in the room was broken when my husband when to sit in it he fell out of it. Then noticed there was only one screw left in the chair to being with.

Staff was courteous but very incompetent. Mainly due to lack of training. Room furniture was completely worn out. TV was a joke. Used a lite switch to power TV. If switch was accidentally turned off, tv was unable to be used for 24 hours. Bathroom tub had a broken faucet that never shut off. Never stay there again or at a Comfort Inn again.

Low class room but better than a “roach hotel”. Had to yell “hello” at the desk for the front desk guy to come out after waiting 5+ min…. Granted it was a late check in 11pm.
