What a world-class experience. The room was great, the bed cozy and the service wonderful. My only complaint was the lack of ample parking for checking in, although a closer spot opened up afterwards. We will book this hotel again.

The hotel is on the older side. Whoever serviced our room before check-in must have been side tracked. We only had 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel and no bathrug to step out of the shower onto. Tv signal reception was a little spotty though wifi was fine. No free breakfast anymore $18 per person but IHOP is just a short walk.

The first floor I was given smelled of mold and mildew. The room was not clean and the plastic on the cups were all opened. Even though there was a no smoking sign outside of the door, the room smelled like smoke. The second room they put me in was nicer but it still smelled like smoke which flared up my asthma and the people in the room above me was very noisy all night. The lobby area was nasty and there were homeless people hanging around outside.

This property is very large but outdated. My room was very big but you could tell it needed renovations. The front desk is super nice. The maintenance guy is nice. People are great. Property itself is eh.

We booked a stay after a light night flight before our cruise . We called twice to make sure they knew we were arriving after midnight du to our late flight and were told it was okay and a note was placed on our reservation. We arrived at 1:15 am and were told they were sold out and had released our reservation, without informing us. We had called twice and still not even a quick message that they were cancelling our reservation before we arrived. Just sorry, no room.We were told no one around had openings and good luck. We were one of four families we saw arrive and have that happen to. It was a terrible start to our vacation. Thankfully IHG hotels and Holiday Inn swooped in and saved the day. I would not stay here in the future if only to make sure I had a place to stay

Clarion Miami BAD
Check in took forever. He was holding my key, he’d copied my id, and everything appeared to be done, he made me stay there and wait until the system came back up. One of the girls told him to refresh the system…duh! Then it worked. The room smelled of mildew, sink was plugged, and water pressure in the stained old tub was almost nonexistent. At 8:30 am housekeeping busted in. Why would they do this???? Check out was 11:00 am. I don’t expect to have my sleep disrupted by this type of annnoyance.

Clerk was friendly but the room is very unclean. Mold in bathroom and bed area. Rust on ceiling and towel bar. Something like crumbs or dirt on night stand and remote control for tv. Bathroom door at the bottom is coming apart. Would not recommend this place.

We waited 30 min for the airport shuttle since it only runs on the top of the hour. We see the driver pulling up and he never stopped. When we called the hotel they stated we’ll just wait another hour and he will be back around. I asked if they would reimburse for Uber and he stated no the shuttle will be back around in one hour to sit and wait. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

The hotel has not heater, and has no external heaters either.
The smell of the room was like old, covers were dirty, bathroom has mold, door 🚪 of bathroom is peeled as humidities.
The windows don’t open so the smell is even worse as no fresh air.
The cards to open the door did not work, three times going back and forth to front desk, finally the personnel opened the door.
I will contact Expedia, even after changing of room there was no heater, it is January and the weather this month has being cold for what is Miami, this is ridiculous. Choose other options if you can. Old and moldy, nothing works.

We were put in a room below the laundry and all the time we head noise from the laundry dryer and washer. They should not rent these rooms out!
The bedcovers were also worn.
And rooms do not have ceiling light which makes it hard to navigate the room.

The hotel is old and not well maintained. They also added a fee at check-in. They charged us twice for the fee and when we showed than our account they said their system only showed one charge. Bathroom had fixed patches on the walls.

I use this hotel because it has shuttle service from airport what a mistake... I waited 40 minutes. When arrived to hotel I realized thus place need an upgrade.. when arrived to my room
The top comforter was soiled, the blow-dryer wire looked burned and was not working, thete were towels but no wash clothes. The room was very dark even with 3 lamps. I cwas happy it was just for one night.

Beware of the Junk fees, besides the property fee there's a fee for the safe security box that is not mention in the reservation and get you when you check inn.
even if you're staying for a few hours you have to pay that fee.

Desk insisted we had booked 2 double beds when we had written evidence of a 2 Queens booking. Desk clerk would not budge on this.
Hotel is dirty and dated.
Whole place smelt of fried fish.

This was simply another example of the terrible state of hospitality industry in Florida in 2023. This one was VERY slightly better than some of the others we stayed in.
It seems that a lot of properties are just keeping the lights on and patching the worst leaks, while the rest of the hotel deteriorates.
At the Clarion, at least the housekeeping staff were trying their best, but still….
No face cloths, or bath mat in room, only one hand towel. We asked for these the next day, and the exclusively Spanish speaking maid seemed to understand, promising to supply, but just replaced the same items we had made do with overnight. No concept of facecloths or bathmats, despite all efforts at sign language. Shabby, repainted bath tub. Little accumulations of dirt and debris in all room corners. Stains on one duvet…sigh. 2nd afternoon she finally found a couple face cloths.
We learned that room tidying is only by daily request.
Insufficent parking available.
“Restaurant” is just a little counter where they take your order for extremely limited breakfast selection (breakfast NOT included). Nothing fresh, cost exorbitant (Nearby IHOP is only other local choice and was crazy busy.
Tom’s Sports Bar, a couple more blocks down the street was pretty good for dinners.
Location is very handy for airport.
With all in, this room was what you have to call a bargain in the Miami area, at under $100 US per night.
We won’t be going back to Florida.

I stayed at this hotel on two nights: Dec 1 and Dec 11. I specifically booked this hotel because they had a free shuttle to and from the airport. On the first visit, I could not get hold of the manager on duty from the airport, the shuttle did not show up (it is supposed to be on every hour or more). A shuttle operator of another operator gave us a ride! That was quite frustrating. But the hotel itself is fair to good. Nothing exceptional, good or bad. Staff is really nice (as long as you can get hold of them!).
On the first visit, I was told they hold US$3.30 for the use of safety box (but refund if I do not use it), on the second visit they said they just charge it if I use it or not!! This is false advertisement. The amount is small enough so money is not the problem but popping these charges at the last moment is what irks me the most.
Shuttle frequency (and, sometimes non availability) and popping up charges at the last moment is why my rating is not as good as it could have been. Dining options are limited but it is not a big deal when you are using it for one night.

My flight was cancelled due to bad weather. We had to get a hotel closed to airport so we could catch a flight in the morning in our home state. We were going a cruise so we only needed for one night. I begged for a fee waiver. It was denied. The charged me any way. That will be the last penny they ever get from me. Their are literally hundreds of hotels to choose from. Never Clarion anywhere again

Don’t stay here
The hotel smells and is dirty! The bed squeaks. And the light in the bathroom is hidden under the hairdryer. Kind of a dumb design. I think for the price it should have been much nicer! Don’t think I’ll stay there ever again. 😡

Clarion overnight
Overnight stay during transit. Room key didn’t work at elevator, bed sheets were wrinkled and didn’t look fresh, bathtub was not cleaned and lump of long black hair was on shower wall. We survived, but will not go back. Hotel shuttle to the airport was convenient for our early morning flight.

The hotel is older and rooms were clean but not in great condition. I did have an experience finding bugs in my room but the front desk staff were very accommodating to switch rooms and there was no bug issue with the other room. Acceptable for an overnight stay before a cruise but not sure I would stay for longer. The shuttle services were efficient and easy to use.

Room was not at all like pictures. Towels were stained. Peeling paint everywhere. Bathtub I would not even Beth my dog in! Windows you couldn’t. Even see out of for the staining on them. Would not recommend!

Old outdated hotel that has barely been maintained, AC in our room didn’t work, luke warm water for shower, which I took at 6pm, sketchy neighborhood, bullet hole in our rooms window (220). Overall Expedia rating is VERY misleading, read ALL REVIEWS before renting here.

My sister stayed on this reservation. She cannot climb stairs.
The elevator was not working at all due to kids pushing buttons.
When she told front desk they said it had been broke down for 2 hours already.
They acted like the didnt care

I went into the restroom to take a shower. After I was finished I was unable to open the restroom door for 30 minutes. I called management to request assistance and it took them 30 minutes from the time I called them, to send somebody.
After 15 minutes of waiting, I had to call again to remind them I was still unable to get out of the restroom. When I went downstairs to check out of the hotel, I told the manager they were extremely inconsiderate towards a customer to react so slowly.
The manager’s told me that since the matter had been resolved, to stop the “attitude”.

Very sketchy area. Old hotel. Only needed for night before cruise so didn’t think it could be as bad as reviews but did not feel safe. One air vent in entire room. Paper thin towels. Got off elevator and guy was sitting there reading a magazine, waiting for someone.....??? Just bad vibes. Will give you extended check out for $25 or the gal said we could just give her $20 Cash. That should explain it all.

Good hotel for the price.
Check in was easy. Friendly staff. Room was OK but the hotel needs some renovation. Bathroom ammenities were replaced but the beds were not made up. But overall our stay was good.
