Bathrooms very old, outdated. Was little disappointed with being in the handicapped bathroom with the old seat and shower. The floors were little yucky as well. Did not even want to walk barefoot on them. We were supposed to hv king size bedrooms and got queen handicapped. 900 for three nights though was very steep for what we got for rooms. Pool was nice though.

Nice and clean
We only stayed a few hours, just enough to bridge one destination to the other but the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, we played in the pool, it was warm and so relaxing to play in the lazy river. We walked just a few minutes to the nearby beach to watch a rocket launch and it was amazing!! I would absolutely come back here!!

Mildew smell throughout our room. Very Old mattresses with no mattress pads.Black mold all over ceiling in bathroom.The floors were filthy . The pictures are misleading this is a very old property.

Online while booking amenities was a huge for us. Beachside advertised the convenience of the on site restaurant and bar. During our stay the bar was open once and we were denied food. The rest of our stay the restaurant and bar was closed. During our week stay they did not clean or empty trash at all. We had to continue asking for it to be done. Considering we wasn’t able to eat on site we had a lot of trash for every meal. We asked for our bedding to be changed as my daughter used self tanner and it took them 8 hrs. When we went back in my daughter pulled her blankets back and they didn’t even change the sheets. They just made the bed. When I pay over 240 dollars for a room I expect it to be cleaned , and all the amenities that was advertised to be available to my family. That’s the entire point of booking.

Stay for a Day
Needed a place to stay for the day while we enjoyed the beach and shopping. The upgrades to the room are quite awesome. Pleased with the cleanliness and attention to detail of the room.

Basic motel room, not worth the price. No hangars, no cupboard.
One switch for bathroom light and fan. Bathroom fan extremely loud and unbearable and likely to cause hearing loss. So you could not use the bathroom without great noise

The courtyard and grounds/ lazy river were great. We had an outside room, looking at the parking lot, with a broom and dustpan hanging up in the corner. The "connecting door" was a very thin,with us being able to hear everything in the next room and surely, they could hear me everytime I coughed.

Great location it's walking distance to the beach, many restaurants, and stores. If you don't have a vehicle you don't have to walk far to find what you need. The front desk Staff is very helpful and kind. Our room was clean and the updated pool area was awesome! Well worth the money and in that location it is very reasonable. The only negative I have is that I would not eat at the restaurant that is attached because the prices are VERY high and the food is below average. I suggest saving your $ and taking a walk to some other places near by.

Fun pool area. Good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Beach is only a short walk. Music and movies were loud so we would ask for a room further away from the pool next time. Nice to have an on-site restaurant and bar with good food. Plenty of other places within walking distance either by beach or street.

Decent place to stay before cruise.
Hands down better than the last cocoa beach hotel we were at. The kids loved the sand and pool, lazy river areas. Awesome being right around the corner of the much larger “pool and beach”. One of our two rooms were upgraded upon arrival due to inventory but honestly not sure why as I had this booked many months back. I personally felt the upgrade was a downgrade after comparing the rooms. Sure it was larger but it felt older and had a musty smell. I would return though so no complaints.

The best thing about this property was the enthusiastic staff. They were very friendly, helpful and helpful suggestions as to dining options.
Negatives: This is an old property (formerly a Days Inn) even though they’ve updated the pool and redecorated it still shows its age. Rooms were not very comfortable and the beds were very uncomfortable. For the price and location I would recommend staying there if you have younger children because of the large pool and sandbox. I also have to note that I booked this online and you never really get a true feel for the property. By the way breakfast was less than par unless you like waffles.

My wife and I spent eight days at the Beachside Hotel and Suites and had a great experience. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff courteous and helpful. The morning breakfasts were very enjoyable with a nice variety of food and drink. Our favorite part of the stay was floating around the Lazy River pool. We had a standard, deluxe pool side room that was a bit small, but adequate for the two of us. Beachside is walkable to the beach, restaurants, Ron Jons, mini golf and some great ice cream stores. Prices are reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Our stay was nothing extraordinary but the hotel provided everything we needed. We did get stuck in our room due to the lock being broke but maintenance arrived and corrected the issue quickly and professionally. Staff were very inviting and made us feel welcomed. We would stay again.

Ok place to stay
Room was dated but clean although I did have to dispose of a couple of small bugs in the bathroom after the first night but nothing too serious. Breakfast was good and the pool was clean and the water was warm in the pool which was nice. Close to beach and eating plus free parking. Overall not a bad place but I did stay at nicer places for cheaper.

Great Non-Chain Hotel

We stayed one night at the Beachside Hotel & Suites. It was one of the hotels that we found to be less expensive than others in the area, yet received OK reviews.
I reserved a Deluxe Room, Poolside with 2 queen beds. I did so a few weeks ahead of the stay. Prior to arrival, I received and email to check in online. While doing so, I was asked if I wanted to pay $20 to upgrade to a room overlooking the pool. I had honestly forgot that I had booked a poolside room, but still opted out of the option. I wonder had I paid the extra money, would I have been given the same room?
On arrival, the clerk at the front desk was great and check in was simple, as I had done it online. I asked for dining suggestions and got great recommendations.
The room was OK. I guess you get what you pay for. It was dated but very clean. There was significant noise from the pool area. You could also hear the guests in the room next door and in the room behind us, which had a door that could be opened to share the rooms. Unfortunately, there was a young child next door that was loud until about midnight.
The rooms that did not face the pool seemed to all face parking and the streets. The pool was probably the better choice.
We did not take advantage of the dining area or free breakfast. And, it was too cold for us to use the pool, even though it was heated. Others were taking advantage of it.
Overall, the room was OK for what we paid. Location was good and cleanliness was good. Noise level, not so great.

We stayed in room 410, it wasn’t until later in the night we discover German cockroaches in the bathroom / vanity hall way area. From there when I told front desk, the women appeared to already know about them & informed me that pest control was coming out that week. To put a family of 5 in a room with a infestation is beyond me.

This is a pretty old facility with very poor maintenance. Room spelled mouldy and the bed was bad. This does not worth $500 Canadian dollars a night stay in any way! We will never be back!

The hotel was a block away from beach access, which was great. Many places along the main road to eat, drink, and shop. The walls between rooms are very thin-could hear conversations and coffee maker brewing while in room. Lazy river was a hit for the many families staying there. Long lines at bar area.

As a family of 4 we stayed one night before our cruise. We arrived early expecting to leave our luggage in storage but were offered immediate check-in for an upgraded room for $10 which was well worth it (one bedroom queen suite). The extra space was great for 4 people. We pulled out the sofa bed but quickly determined it was extremely thin and very uncomfortable. One child ended up sleeping on it just as a sofa which worked ok for the night.
The lazy river pool and 5 min walk to the beach kept the kids entertained for the day.
2 min walk to stores to pick up last minute items and snacks was very convenient.
We were starving when we arrived so we ate lunch onsite. It wasn’t great. I would suggest taking an extra 5 mins to walk down the street. The breakfast was just ok, good enough for one morning but I wouldn’t want to eat there all week.
Staff was great, helpful and friendly. Property wasn’t fancy but it was well maintained and clean.
It met our needs and we had a great time for the day.

This is very basic accommodation. What was supposed to be a relaxing 2 nights pre-cruse, was awful. All rooms are connecting, doors and walls to next door are paper thin and we heard next door shouting all night long. We were extremely sleep deprived and when we mentioned it to reception, they offered ear plugs!!!
The rooms have a very strong smell of chlorine, a distinctive “bleach” smell throughout. The buffet breakfast was hilarious, sugar upon sugar, served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. If you’re looking for a relaxing break and value sleep, don’t book this place.

It was not quiet. Unfortunately, the adjoining room had a child that was screaming in the evening and throughout the night so we didn't get much sleep. This was for both Saturday and Sunday nights. Not your fault, but the child must have had a cot/bed right next to the joining door of our room. We had the pool side room.

Older hotel with fantastic amenities & staff
Older hotel and the room is definitely showing its age but overall it was a good experience! All the staff, from the front lobby, food service, & even security were all great! Continental breakfast was top notch with a great selection, hotel restaurant & poolside bar were super convenient & the pool/lazy river was WARM & enjoyable even on the 50° days. Only gripe I would have is you have to notify the front desk if you want your room cleaned. If you don’t call it won’t get done.

Quick, easy & convenient.
Very easy checking in thanks to mobile check in, had our room keys in 2 minutes. It was a little chilly to take advantage of all the amenities available. 12 minutes from the port and reasonably priced. Would recommend as a place to stay.

This is a Good Fun Hotel at a great location!!! And good services.
Lots of people on duty as far as maid and service people. However the Hotels.com website says this place has a workout facility. It hasn't had one for 3 years.
According to guest services Hotels.com will not let them change the description.
I was there for 5 days and the bar that was supposed to be open till 9pm
Every day was closed at 2pm for the rest of the day 2 of 5 days. I specifically chose this hotel for these amenities along with price and location. Not Happy !!!

Friendly staff, good breakfast, pool is amazing, short walk across the street to beach entrance, able to borrow beach chairs and umbrellas, nice music by the pool, several nearby places to eat within walking distance, next door to Ron Jon surf complex, only thing needed is a little updating in the bathroom and some door mats to keep sand being trekked into hotel room, would definitely recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Beachside Hotel & Suites. The weather was in the low 70's but we were still able to enjoy the lazy river since it is heated. The Duck Dive bar and Grill had great snacks and drinks. The free breakfast was very good every day. All the people were super friendly and helpful. You can walk to the beach and walk to many shopping and dining options. We can't wait to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Beachside is the best for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and friendly hotel to stay at before a cruise or before heading to the beach. They are so close to the beach, Ron John’s, and any thing you need to go buy. Their breakfast is one of the best laid out continental breakfast you could ask for. Absolutely amazing, friendly, and informative staff so that you can ask questions and feel like you are getting taken care of, as if you were close friends. On top of it all a sand area and a lazy river for kids, or those slightly older:) The best place to go.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful at every turn. They seemed happy to be there. Free breakfast was outstanding. I was impressed how well staff managed to keep food stocked considering how many people they had to serve.
