Nice hotel. A coupe of things that could improve the experience would be a better pre check in system. The shower was clean at first look but I noticed that the grout could use a good scrubbing to remove that orange cast that makes me think of a mold. And it is time to go back to real glassware in the rooms. Paper and plastic cups just dont cut it

Great stay! Clean, quite and comfortable rooms. I loved the convenience of the parking garage. The same elevator from the lobby to your room can also stop on the same floor as the garage which made coming and going a breeze!
I was able to walk out the door and across the street then walk through the shopping mall to the Marriott where the conference I was in town for was being held. I was very pleasantly surprised to discover this. I was able to avoid walking in cold weather or alone through city streets at night. I'll likely chose to stay here over the conference hotel again in the future!

BEST HOTEL IN BOSTON!
This was the second time me and my wife stayed at this hotel while visiting Boston. We absolutely love everything about this hotel. It's in a great location and has excellent views of the city via floor to ceiling windows.
The hotel staff are amazing, and we willl 100% be coming back to this hotel for future visits/stays in Boston.

Hotel Great Lucie Resturant--Deplorable
The Hotel was great as always. It was clean and the rooms spectacular. But the Restaurant Lucie was terrible. The wait staff were the worst I have seen in my life. I could not believe the poor service nor their condescending attitude toward me and my family. I will never stay there again because of it.

Room Temp Issuss
The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Room service was prompt and delicious. My issue is with the room temp and the front desk service. When I arrived, the room was absolutely stifling. There was no way I could comfortably sleep in it. The thermostat wasn’t allowing cooler air to come in, so I called the front desk to ask for a fan and was told “no” but that they’d send up an engineer. The engineer was the most helpful person. He opened the windows and brought me a fan. It is ridiculous that at a four star hotel, I wasn’t able to control the room temp. If you’re temp sensitive, beware.

Nice trip
Forgot the name of the woman who checked us in, same woman who checked us out. Upon check out there was another woman at the counter who ignored us, the woman who helped us at check in and out was lovely. There was also a gentleman who was stationed in the lobby, he took the time to show us around. He was an older man and lovely.

Great Stay!
From the moment we entered the staff were super friendly and attentive! Front desk, to the doorman to housekeeping - excellent service from all!! Our rooms were clean and quiet and comfy! Great location in the Back Bay! We will definitely stay at The Colonnade again! A special shout out and thank you to the lady in housekeeping for room 604!!! She rocked! I am just bummed I did not get her name! Thank you Colonnade for a great stay!

We had a very thoughtful check in and check out services, thanks to wonderful receptionists! Our room was clean and minimalist with white and beige decor. At first, the room heater was loud, but we just changed its setting to a lower temperature and a lower fan setting.

Don’t Waste $ Staying at Colonnade.
Filthy entrance all the way into rooms. Doorman did nothing to help with door or bags. Front desk crew cared little for customer questions or concerns. Gym closed…yet no one working on it. Colonnade is a less than mediocre facility. Never again.

Amazing stay! It was our anniversary night and we couldn't have picked a better place. Great customer service, the front desk people were very nice. The hotel gave us a complimentary upgrade for our special occasion. They really made our stay a very special one. I couldn't be more grateful.

Foolish fees for an old hotel
This hotel, in the city of Boston, has not valet service. It is self parking and $65.00 for self parking which is absurd in Boston. Bathrooms are tiny. A $30.00 nightly activity fee, for what? Not on the Hotels.com website. So disappointed in this property. Never again.

Automatic check-in was faulty. After uploading my credit card and license image, they did not notify me when room was ready. Had my wife give her credit card on arrival. Did not tell us about 34.95 utility charge. Had to enter yet another credit card to check out and front desk person was very rude.

Overall good experience
Hotel was completely booked. Luckily, I had checked in online so my room was ready at 2 when I arrived which was great! Because of other reviews, I was concerned that it may be noisy, however, my room overlooked the neighborhood behind the hotel. I had a great night’s sleep. My only negative comment is that the hotel is pricey and not as elegant as other comparably priced hotels in the area.

Rooms are worn. Broken light bulb, tiny bathroom, chipped paint and moldy bathtub. Huge stain on carpet and the AC/heat didn’t work properly. It ran non-stop, sounded like a freight train and room was 74 degrees when set to 66!

Nice property with great, central location, walkable to Prudential shopping center, Northeastern University and their sports arenas, Mary Eddy Library, Symphony, and a bit further but walkable to Boylston and Newbury Streets.
Friendly staff, great lobby and adjacent restaurants. Parking on site. Rooms could use a bit more punch on the decor side, but still nice. Would recommend for families, friends or couples.

Good location but rooms need some maintenance. Faucet handles were loose or falling off for bath and sink. Hotel tried to double charge a "facility fee" that I had already prepaid, which is BS to have to pay once, but twice? Pool is closed. Housekeeping slams all the room doors in the morning when they are working. You're getting up early weather you like it or not.

Small just about functional bathrooms. Check-in wasnt good at all. Checked in at 20.30, guy at desk not very chirpy he didnt mention anything about VIP access or benefits. I had to ask what amount he charged my card. I wasnt told way to lift i had to ask.Breakfast on sunday morning was slow and labourious and incorrect when first arrived. Day 2 was better.Overall i found the property to be soulless.

We thought everything was great overall. We were very disappointed the rooftop pool was closed! It was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel.
