Best-located Charleston resort is Family Tradition
We have been to the Beach Club before, as well as its sister Harbor Resort and Marina several times. It's become a tradition, and we've always enjoyed excellent stays and impeccable service. It is the best-located resort in all of Charleston!

My husband and I had a great stay. Very relaxing. The only issue we had was our room was not very tidy when we walked in. There were random drawers open in the night stands, dressers and in the bathroom vanity. The extra towels in the basket under the vanity were not cleaned very well, one looked to have been used to wipe off makeup. One of the bathroom sinks had residue in it but the other was clean. It almost seemed like maybe someone came in before us to get ready and left. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Overall the stay was great and we hope to come back as a family in the summer!

We enjoyed our visit. The resort is beautiful. The only small issue is that I booked a studio suite that ended up not having any heat. The room we moved to was smaller even though it was supposed to be an upgrade. The move was complimentary, so I won’t complain. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We will be back with our children next time. Thank you for the southern hospitality.

The property is beautiful. They don't tell you about these until you get there. And part of your fears you receive complementary things at the store, but the store was not open, even when it was supposed to be. But the hotel is lovely.

This property is absolutely immaculate! The staff are very friendly and the rooms are gorgeous and crisp. But the best part, the pool and the views of the Charleston Harbor and Bridge! This is a must stay if you are going to Charleston!

This was a fantastic stay. My wife and I stayed the week between Christmas and New Years. There was ice skating and live music at night. We would like to come back in the summer to see what all there is to do

Stayed during the Christmas holiday, so the entire resort was decorated very nicely! Its pretty dark driving to the resort, so you have to know where you are going or use Google Maps, etc. to guide you. Since there are two properties, I got lost and went to the other property, so I was directed next door. I wish there were more lights or signs to distinguish where you are going. The hospitality was on point though! Champagne upon checkin, 2 free drinks at the marina store and free parking on site. The shuttle that takes you downtown is a nice plus too! The Fishouse restuarant has amazing food and Leigh was great as a server! I wished there was more than one food spot on site, but with the shuttle going downtown, you get more choices. I had a balcony view toward the marina and it was beautiful! The yachts and cruise ships were a sight. Since it was December, I didnt partake in the pools, but the spa was very nice! The 80 minute massage is well worth it and I walked out feeling like a million bucks. All in all, I would go back and recommend for a 2-3 night stay.

The location was nice and quiet, proximity to downtown Charleston was really good as well, and the property itself was well kept and very spacious. The only downside we had was that the bed wasn't very comfortable, not sure if it was just an older mattress or what but that combined with hotel pillows that hold zero shape made for some not so great sleep.

Very nice but not really a resort.
Pros..Absolutely beautiful facilities and room. Loved the ceiling fan and fireplace. Luxurious bathroom even a makeup vanity. Great views and perfect location. Very quiet.
Cons..Bed was way too hard so I got very little sleep and no microwave anywhere. For a resort I expected at least a valet or someone to help with luggage.

Beautiful resort
Pros: Beautiful hotel, large rooms, huge bathrooms, amazing pool area, nice views of the harbor from the balcony. Cons: About a 10 minute drive into downtown, only one restaurant on the property with no others near, not within walking distance to anything. Would we stay here again? YES!

Beautiful property in a fantastic location with a beautiful view of Charleston. Easy shuttle and water taxi service to travel into the city. Rooms were very clean, spacious bathrooms, and bedrooms. Looks like it is very well maintained and remodeled. I would highly recommend this hotel property.

Beautiful property, room, and pool. Room was a very nice size and bed very comfortable. Only issue was spotty internet service and issues getting the car parking lot gate open, but hopefully they will get that handled. Loved our four day stay.

Beautiful setting, great room with views over the river to Charleston and The Yorktown. Water Taxi very handy, as was free shuttle bus into Charleston. Pool area clean and tidy. Good variety of food/bars available

Loved staying here! It was very nice and well taken care of. The pool area was amazing and you can walk out on the pier over the ocean! 2 things I would recommend, bring your own pillows(the ones provided go flat) and no refrigerator in the rooms, bring a cooler(there is an ice machine).

We went there last year and loved it so much we drove 12 hours to stay again. This time very disappointed. There was garbage and dirty towels laying outside her patio. Smoke alarm went off three nights in a row with staff. Not very informative or acknowledging of the situation. Service by the pool waited a couple hours for food order to be taken. Left a message at the desk to have a manager called with no response. We will not return.

Upon check in we were told that Expedia overbooked our room type and it was no longer available. The hotel offered us a small credit and an extra token to the Marina Store. The walls of the room could use a fresh coat of paint and the bathroom could have been cleaner upon check in, though it was spectacular. Our room also got skipped by housekeeping one of the days despite us being gone all day. The pool area was nice, but expect tons of kids in both pool areas. We were disappointed there wasn’t an adults only pool as advertised. The hotel was in a nice location and it was pretty easy to get around the area. I sensed they were short staffed. We would consider staying here again but would book directly with the hotel.

Check in was terrible. We waited over 40 minutes and our room wasn’t ready. We never got a call when it was and upon returning after 4pm we waited again, another 15-20 minutes. We were given no information about the resort, restaurants, activities. This was so disappointing after spending so much money here.

Beautiful hotel on the harbor. Nice views of Charleston. Very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool. Beautifully decorated and spacious rooms. Free coffee in the morning. Would have been nice to have a bar in the lobby. Poolside bar very limited hours and no poolside service that I could see. Did not eat at restaurant.

Issues with room. Had to move. Front desk staff are constantly changing. They don’t communicate with each other well. Led to a lot of confusion and wasted time at the front desk and on the phone. We finally got our requested room after two days. We extended our stay and once again there were issues regarding our room. Suffice it to say that we refused to move.

The view from our room was spectacular of the harbour, the bridge & battleship which was lit up beautifully at night. The ease of getting into Charleston via hotel shuttle or river shuttle was wonderful.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat & would highly recommend.

Rooms and grounds were beautiful and well kept. Staff were all very friendly and available.
Only disappointing items were that some of the amenities like the hot tub were unexpectedly closed when we were there and the staff seemed to have no idea what was going wrong with it or why it was closed.

This hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms are spacious and well kept. The location was awesome, right on the water and a quick water taxi or hotel provided shuttle to downtown Charleston. The pools were clean and there was ample seating. The restaurant was also beautiful and the food delicious. I can’t wait to come back!

Pictures do not do this place any justice. It is even nicer in person. We got a harbor view room and it was absolutely incredible. I like that they have a water taxi to take you across to Charleston and they also have a free shuttle that departs every hour. This place was so clean and well kept. We will definitely be coming back :)

The common areas and room were phenomenal! The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. The other staff needs training in hospitality. No one speaks or exchanges pleasantries. The Tiki Bar has competing music with the pool. Overall, it's way too loud. Beautiful property. No one went out of their way to offer assistance or simply ask if we were enjoying our stay.

We had a marina view and it was gorgeous. Unfortunately it took 4 days for the manager to respond to my problem. They did not take my AAA discount or Senior discount upon check in at 1:30 AM. Sooooo bad. Management is terrible and for the $$, I would stay at another resort.

This was a 4 night stay in Charleston, our first visit. The hotel is beautiful, on the harbor, with a beautiful pool and beautiful room with balcony overlooking the harbor. There were several amenities such as a free shuttle downtown and back every hour (about 15 minutes away); free unlimited bottles of water; free parking (there is a reasonable resort fee of $35 that is meant to cover all this). There are two reasons for my 4 star rating. First, the lack of a decent restaurant on premises. There is only a very casual bar with limited options, and the restaurant that was quite dark and less that inviting, at least for us. There are restaurants nearby but we found these on our own - there was nothing provided by the hotel by way of suggestions for food, entertainment, etc. Secondly, the staff, while polite and efficient enough, had a "whatever" kind of attitude. Not many thank you's or sorry's. For example, the attendant at the front disk at checkout failed to give us a temporary card key allowing us to leave the premises. We had to call from the gate and return to the front desk to get a key (there was a pile of them on her desk), with no "sorry." There were several of those little annoyances. I hope they address these issues as they are very fixable and it would make this resort a spectacular experience.

For the money and the location the beds need to be a higher quantity. We have stayed twice in the last couple of weeks and everyone in our party complained about the quality of the mattress. If you love a cheap rock hard mattress then this is the place for you. Other than that the place is beautiful and the views 😍. Definitely a post Covid staff that needs hospitality training.
