I was happy to have received a parking permit so that my vehicle would not get towed. The gentlemen at the reception desk was beyond helpful and offered me additional coffee pods for the morning so I would be ready to go for my big presentation at UVA!

Ehhhh, it’s a bed!
It’s nothing to write home about. Hard as rocks mattresses, smelled strongly of bleach as soon as we walked in, & air conditioner was loud & rickety. (Heat was on, I turned it off, but it kept getting hotter in the room. So turned on air.).
It was close to UVA, for my son’s surgery. Had to be there at 5:30, so was convenient.

Room was clean, bathroom shower had very low pressure. Stayed 3 nights. After first night the bathroom had a very musty smell. The mattress was not very comfortable. Every time i went to breakfast they were out of one of the entrees. Staff was super friendly. Location was great

Another stay!
I usually am overly impressed with this hotel. This is my 4th stay there with my son attending UVA. Everything was basically the same this time except for a wet dog covered up smell in the room. The rooms I usually stay in have double queens but I chose the king this time because when booking there were limited Queen rooms, there were more kings available, I would be staying by myself since it was unplanned in bringing my son down and weather hampered our trip, and I wanted to leave the Queen rooms available for others who may be staying with more people. The area was getting a winter storm rolling through so this may have had something to do with everything and staff. I just didn’t understand the smell. I usually don’t mind paying a little more for this hotel compared to the Days Inn right next to it because of the room size and cleanliness but this trip was more on par with what I’ve seen in less than stellar places in the area.

Room had some sort of substance on the curtains and floor near the curtains, bed squeaked every time you moved as did the shower floor.
Check in and check out was smooth.

Awesome hotel
This hotel is officially my fav. Front desk employees and housekeeping are so polite and accommodating. My kids and I really enjoyed our stay. Will be our go to from here on our. A++++ on every level

Ok except for front desk service.
Everything about our stay was great except one thing. Our first night there I needed to speak with someone at the front desk. I called several times directly from my room and no one ever answered until after letting it ring a while my call would instead be disconnected. I then tried several times calling in from outside the hotel to the front desk and still had the same issues. I tried several times over a 3 hour period and never got through. I left the hotel for a while and when i returned, no one was at the front desk but again the phone was just ringing off the hook with no one answering it.

Property is clean. Room is small with 2 queen bed. Staff is accomodating and friendly. They have 24 hiur hot beverage station which is convenient.

We come to Cville once a year from out of state and have stayed at a variety of establishments. This was a quick holiday getaway and the hotel fit the bill. Hot water, coffee, comfortable bed, clean and nice staff, plus reasonable. We will be staying here again. The breakfast was much better than what is typically offered at this class and was a surprise and the coffee was good.

Wonderful staff & nice rooms
When we arrived the hotel lobby was nice and clean. The breakfast was good and a good amount of options. Our room initially seemed very nice and clean, but on day 2 upon opening the curtains we noticed mold growing on the windowsill in the corners. It seems like they had tried fixing a leaky window (you could see where work had been done previously) and the mold was growing back. We talked to the man at the front desk and he was extremely helpful and had us moved rooms immediately. The new room was very clean and no signs of mold.

nice stay but a few wrinkles
I had pre-paid and although I hadn't taken my dog I was surprised to see this hotel was no cost pet friendly then upon arrival the clerk said pets are not allowed and also took my credit card for a 50 safety deposit, which was surprising.

Will stay here again when visiting Charlottesville. Friendly staff and proactive: I wasn't able to get into the fitness center due to an issue with the lock (my card was unlocking it, but the door wasn't opening). I reported the issue and 10-minutes later I got a call that it was fixed. Enjoyed my stay here.

Great stay
We were very happy with our stay! The hotel was in an excellent location, the included breakfast had a great variety, the room was clean as were all public areas. The fitness room is simple but provided what I needed. The mattress are lumpy and noisey when you move. That was our only complaint.

We originally booked for 2 nights because of my son’s surgery. After his surgery we decided to drive home instead of stay another night. We were stressed and just wanted to get our stuff and go. It was 3 pm and were hoping we could explain the situation and they could either not charge us for the second night or just charge us for a late check out. They hadn’t even cleaned the room while we were out all morning and afternoon at the hospital. They were not sympathetic nor would they even budge on helping us out. I understand it was our mistake so I’m not extremely upset but definitely disappointed and doubt I would stay there again.

The property, was clean, everything worked properly, the climate control worked very well and the beds were comfortable. Indoor pool was in excellent shape and very clean. I would highly recommend staying here. The only downside I saw was that parking is quite limited. We found a space, but arriving somewhat late, I saw one unfortunate person have to go hunting elsewhere. Maybe just an inconvenience.

It seemed dated and even though some of the staff were welcoming and efficient, there was a feeling of "getting the job done" instead of truly servicing the clients. The cleaning staff was excellent and worked so hard. The food market needs to be updated and needs to be welcoming. The whole hotel atmosphere felt dated and tired.

Overall a great stay
The traffic on Emmett Street was a bit noisy at times. The bed was a bit soft. But I really like a firm bed. Otherwise the hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and the holiday decorations were super cute.

The whole process was easy. The text’s actually worked… I find a lot of hotels that try it and it doesn’t… room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was nice. Appreciated there was coffee and tea all day.

$700 per night for this hotel is obscene. Beyond the pale. Expedia listed it for much less when I made the reservation. Never again will I use Expedia for a hotel reservation.

Very nice, modern, clean, well kept. Close to dining options - just mile or 2 down road. Short uber ride to campus or downtown. Great option and excellent price. Best place if you are going to sports at JPJ or football… Starbucks right across street, good steakhouse across parking lot.

Hotel shares a parking lot with what looks like a lower-quality motel but there's plenty of parking. Traffic nearby was kind of crazy as it's very close to the university. Breakfast was just ok. One day the "sausage" was rally unidentifiable but the next day the sausage seemed to relly be sausage.

I have stayed at this property twice now and each time the stay was nice and the staff was friendly. The rooms are comfortable and furnished with good quality items. There have been a mini-fridge and microwave in each of the rooms I have stayed in so far. The worst I can say is the breakfast is okay but still managed to eat more than I needed! :)

We stayed in room 203. The bathroom door was not hung plumb, so it remained half open and would hit the occpant unexpectedly.
Also the room was being cleaned when we arrived at 4:30 PM. The carpet was being cleaned and remained wet for the evening we stayed in the room. The scent of the chemical agent was prominent the entire evening.

Great budget hotel
Clean and comfortable hotel. The staff was engaged, friendly and helpful. We stayed without a car, so needed to Uber to the university, as it's not walkable (no sidewalks in some of the areas with very busy streets), but it was not a problem to get one.

The indoor pool is the best we’ve seen of all the indoor pools we’ve used (in MD and VA), and the staff is friendly, accommodating, and eager to help. At our most recent stay (Labor Day weekend 2023), the breakfast was underwhelming relative to past breakfast offerings previously provided at the property, and the property did not appear to offer hot cocoa mix and cookies or apples throughout the day, but all of that is probably due to rising costs.

While the staff at the hotel were genuinely nice and tried to be helpful, my stay was far from pleasant. The shower head in my room was broken, making it impossible to have a decent shower. The cleanliness was questionable at best, making me uncomfortable throughout my stay. To make matters worse, the hotel is situated in a sketchy area; people from the neighboring motel were running around and screaming, evidently high on drugs. No fault of the actual hotel. However, I can't recommend staying here unless major improvements are made.

I enjoyed the subdued decor, the hallway rugs, the pictures on the walls. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The included breakfast was very good. Staff stayed on top of maintaining neatness of the food area and the tables. Enjoyed my stay!

Nice facility & comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with hot food and varied fruit options also. Our bathroom sink drain was plugged and there was no one available to fix it, so we just dealt with it since we were there for just one night. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

I wouldn’t not recommend this hotel to anyone. I think the staff were really friendly and helpful. I do think that the room could’ve been cleaned more, I noticed there were some small stains on the bedding and found several hairs in the clean sheets. Overall though, this is an affordable hotel, just has a little “wear and tear”.

The hotel was very nice. Very modern decor. The rooms were clean. It smelled clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast at was prepared very well. We didn’t care for the taste of the sausage, but I work for a sausage manufacturer, so I’m picky. My only complaint was that there were no designated smoking areas. We do not smoke, but other people who smoked stood along the front walkway to do so, and threw butts everywhere. They were cleaned up each morning, but you also had the veil of smoke to walk through when you entered the hotel. There were no signs prohibiting it.

Wedding Anniversary stay with 1 child☺️
We had a king accessible room. I thought the description said the shower was so you could roll wheelchair in shower. It wasn't but it had a shower seat to put in the tub to take a shower. It did have bars to hold onto. The bathroom was huge plenty of room to roll wheelchair in.The bed was comfortable but too high for a handicap person with leg problems. The refrigerator had food in it from last person. And there were not clean sheets on the pull out sofa. But I called downstairs they came right up and cleaned out the refrigerator and put clean sheets on sofabed, blanket and pillows. The light on one side of the bed didn't work. My husband asked for a light bulb, it wasn't the bulb. Other than that it was a pleasant stay it was quiet. The room itself was clean. Bathroom was clean. I would stay there again in the future. 2 male managers entered our room without permission or announcing who they were or what they wanted. Our teenage daughter was in the room by herself at this time and they terrified her. She screamed for them to leave, latched the lock but they kept knocking and continued to try to get in. It was very scary and unprofessional.

The experience was extremely disappointing. The front desk staff seemed unaware of how to turn off the air conditioner, resulting in excessive noise throughout the night. Furthermore, I received no feedback from the manager, which added to my disappointment.

Wonderful Family Stay
Had a wonderful stay with the family (two small kids). The hotel is modern and clean, quiet inside (appreciated the quiet hours). The parking is lot is shared with another hotel and fills up quickly. The front desk staff (Eric) was very helpful and full of information. Will definitely be back as this hotel is close to UVA and other various shops
