Beautiful but could use attention to details
The shampoos and body wash selections were not favorable.
I found broken glass and a handful of candy I had To pick up on the side of my bed in the floor where it was clearly not vacuumed.
I found this candy and glass because I was looking for the cord in the floor that connected the base of the phone to the actual hand piece. I did not find this cord, therefore I was unable to use the room phone.
Pillows are so thin you might as well bank on using 4 per person under your head.
Overall, with beautiful hotel but it severely lacks the details required of the cleaning and overlook to consider itself luxury.

Very Historic place. Nice rooms. Good view if you look down river. Close to everything. Affordable in Winter months. Lots of fees, but similar to most hotels in downtown Chicago now.

London House is amazing
We spent 4 glorious nights in downtown Chicago in Dec 2023. The hotel is sensational. Beautiful rooms, great service and to top it off the rooftop bar was awesome.

This was a fantastic hotel!! The room was beautiful, it was right by parks, theater and the Magnificent Mile. We had both their rooftop brunch and the Ocean Prime restaurant dinner on site and were very happy with both. We took the trip for my daughterâs birthday - I informed Mary, the concierge, and she made the entire stay super special for her! She handwrote a note from me for when we got there with a teddy bear and also sent a dessert and note from her to the room later. So impressed with the whole experience, it was great!

Wonderful hotel with a great walkable location! Close to Starbucks plus magnificent mile. Excellent restaurants. Easy to walk basically anywhere! Only thing is the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Other than that, beautiful rooms, amazing staff, loved the restaurant at the hotel, and some of the most friendly people when you are greeted at the door. Felt so welcomed! Plus the rooftop is a must!

This was a wonderful hotel right on the river. We upgraded to river view rooms and it was well worth it. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially the guys on the door.

Loved the hotel, stayed for 7 days, view from our room of the Riverwalk was stunning, we got to watch the fireworks at the Stroke of midnight from our hotel room. Couldn't ask for a better location, we were able to walk to all shops, restaurants etc.

"Awesome service, great location, and quiet rooms with comfy beds." I enjoyed my stay and would revisit. There was only one problem where they charged me double for the water in the room but they apologized and fixed it as soon as I called.

We were upgraded to a room(not cheap) that was very disappointing. Our room was small maybe it seemed even smaller because our bathroom was bigger and the fan was broken and things got muggy at times! In the corner of our room was a huge stain(it looked like a dog pooped in the corner and not fully cleaned). We informed the front desk and maintenance showed up at 730am. We were on vacation! We informed the front desk and nobody tried to come back. This lead to a damp room at times. The carpet in the room was disgusting. Overall, very disappointing đ
Our door would bang every time the elevator or stairwell opened. We had to put a folded paper in the door to stop it.
Note to self: upgrading may not be the best choice ~the grass isnt always greener on the other side ~

We liked everything except the elevators took a while and would sometimes skip our floor. The bed is also on the street side of the room so it's very noisy and pulling the curtains down didn't absorb any of the city noise

Location was perfect and close to everything. Although, we had issues with our aircon on the last night (or something in the ceiling) which was making a grinding noise every 30 minutes or so while trying to sleep. Very annoying!

Room w/King bed was comfortable & well-sized for 2 adults. Excellent mattress. Bathroom was spacious, modern & well-lit. Our only complaint was the poor general lighting in bedroom area; no overhead light & only one glaring (blinding!) desk-lamp to help you find stuff in your suitcase! Very dim both day & night! Pls replace that globe-light w/ a directional lamp or one w/shade! Otherwise, nicely done!

When we checked into our room, the entire toilet lid was covered with a sticky, yellow film. It was very gross. There was also only one coffee in the box of 4. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

Booked through Expedia as cheaper than booking on Hilton app, thus despite being a Hilton Honours Gold member, I received non of the benefits. Make the best price available to your loyal customers, and if they can find it cheaper still allow them the benefits they have earned. Had 2 rooms, one the safe didnât work and clearly wasnât checked regularly, other room had missing coffee pods, empty and faulty shower gel. The reception staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming. Good location, great rooftop bar.

Hotel was thru Hotels.comb which I have used over 10 years. Booked a room with City View but when checking they wanted to charge me $60.00 each night for a city view. I declined and was given a room with no view. See pictures below. Hotel is beautiful on the outside, lobby is beautiful but the room was so uncomfortable. It was well decorated but no where to put your stuff. I refuse to lay clothes or wearable items on the floor so we used a chair to unpack and lay our items on. No hooks for your towels. Beautiful bookshelf full of unusable items, rug torn and bathroom mirror frame was falling apart. I was excited about staying here but from the minute I checked in, I was a disappointment. Would not recommend nor stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was packed for the Chicago marathon, yet the staff seemed to be on top of everything. Ended up watchin the runners from by bedroom widow in the morning which was a bonus.
Honestly not a fan of Chicago but have to go there for business, this hotel certainly cheered me up returning at night. I'll be staying here in future.

We are just home from our first stay here. It is in a superb location, the views from the rooftop have to be amongst the best in Chicago and the room and staff were all excellent! Have already recommended to people and canât rate this hotel highly enough. We will be back!

The location is great but the room was dated, dark, and the furniture was damaged. The elevators were not functioning correctly, we usually ended up either waiting 5 or 6 minutes for an elevator or getting stuck inside trying to get to our room.
I tried to notify the staff of some of these issues but the wait to speak to a desk agent in person or on the phone was at least 10 minutes.

The hotel and the rooftop was nicely decorated with Christmas decor and amazing view of the Chicago river. There was an issue with the booking company not informing the hotel that we had selected a room with a view so we got the standard room at first but later was able to upgrade to a room with a view. Other than the room issue at first , we had a pleasant stay for the 3 nights that we were there. We would have liked for the front desk to recommend places to eat , places to visit or transportation especially knowing it was our first time there . Overall , if you are looking for a great view of Chicago River definitely recommend this hotel.

Great area. Beautiful and clean hotel. Friendly concierge. The shower in my room was always scolding hot with the occasional spew of freezing water. The showtime app was constantly loading. Guest services wanted to send an engineer to the room when I called about the issues but I was only there for one night and it was too late for all that.

I am a little bit disappointed this time. Because I stayed lower floor and in the middle of night super loud music made me and my husband stay awake. We couldnât fall asleep unfortunately. After the music disturbance, we woke up again because of the smell of bread baking. It was around 4 am. But this happened more than two times. It was actually awful. I liked to stay at this hotel. But I will look for another good hotel in Chicago.

Stayed here for our babymoon. Room was nice and clean and bigger than how it looked in pictures.
Concierge was helpful in getting us last minute restaurant reservations and left a little teddy bear for the baby which was a nice touch. Gave 4 stars because for the price it was lacking some amenities.

Itâs an amazing property. The only issue for me was getting an upgrade that seemed like a downgrade. That was my fault for not asking questions.
Other than that this hotel is amazing and I would definitely recommend it!

Extremely disappointing.
Check in is 4pm, we arrived at 5:30pm. I would expect a $500 a night room to be ready by 4pm since that is the stated check in time but ours was not. Had to wait another 20 mins for the room and was given a $100 credit towards food or drinks for our troubles. While i appreciate the attempt to make us happy, the process to get the credit was a joke. I was told to just "let the bartenders or servers know the front desk is taking care of the bill up to $100 and theyll handle it." Well guess how well that worked out. The bartender said it doesnt matter what they said and i need to pay upfront and bring my receipts to the front desk and have them reimburse me. Of course when i did the next morning at checkout they looked at me like a deer in headlights and fumbled around for another 20 mins trying to figure out what to do because they couldn't just reimburse me that way. Very poor communication between staff and nobody cares in the end about us. Also this hotel places ridiculous hidden fees on the bills for EVERYTHING. we had a $4.50 charge added to our room service bill for the tray needed to give us our food!!! We didn't even need the tray! It was only there for waitstaff lol. Never staying here again. If you want to stay at a hotel that price gouges you at every opportunity and yet cant even have your room ready well after check in time, then this is your place. If you value your time and money, stay away from this hotel.

The hotel was superbly located for our needs, just a short stroll to the riverbank and shops with plenty of places to eat close by. Theatres were just a block or two away
Hotel staff were friendly and the ground floor Lake and Land eatery was a great place to start the day off for breakfast
