Check-in was good. Property pretty clean. Not such a good location for restaurants or shopping. Only a couple of fast food places & 2 gas stations. Very surprised when the Trains went by every few hours. I thought it was coning thru the room !!! Breakfast was weak at best. No Eggs when I went down at 8 A.M. I asked and the attendant sais they were done.

Great location and has nice staff. I get it if the property is old, but dirty shouldn't be an option. On the surface, it looks clean but there was black scum around the sink drain, the shower was questionable with the half-used shampoo in the tub..but the rusty towel holder and toilet paper holder? A hole in the wall from opening up the door too wide? And very dirty walls. A gallon of paint and a few items from Home Depot are all that are needed to make this place a nice place to stay. This wasn't a cheap place to stay either. The lighting was so dim, it was hard to tell if the towels were stained. It was just okay for a one-night stay, but I didn't want to use the shower in the morning. This has a great location with a gas station in the back parking lot and a McDonald's in the side parking lot. Breakfast was good enough. But they need to just make some minor improvements so guests don't feel skeeved out.

Room was OK, and it was clean. Extremely limited parking spaces. Trains came through all night. Check in staff was terrible. Male desk clerk couldn't find my reservation for multiple nights. Even though I showed proof of my reservation, including my receipt for payment ahead of time, no help was provided and I was cursed at and he also launched unfounded accusations. I would LOVE to see and hear the camera footage!

I have visited this hotel for 3 to 4 years during the month of October for business. Usually good stay and clean. I had reservations for 3 rooms. Upon check in they couldn't find my reservation. I waited about half hour at 9pm. Once into rooms they were smelly and not cleaned the beds were made nothing else. One room had roaches. After being relocated the next room had cobwebs and was dusty! Due to the high volume of Homecoming nothing else was available. The power for the toaster and waffle maker didnt work. We were told someone was coming in to fix it within the hour. I do not recommend this location until upgrades and extermination is done. I did notice the former staff members are no longer there and there is new management which only seems to care about the money not the comfort nor hospitality. I also contacted the corporate office who must feel the same way and doesn't care about the customers inquiries. Bad business

My stay at the Comfort Inn South Chesterfield was pleasant. The staff and cleaning service was very good. The breakfast was great. The only issue we had was the smell of marijuana coming out of rooms 304 and 305. We stayed in room 307. I'm sure the staff could smell it as well. I hope someone addressed that or at least got fined the $250 the elevator sign stated.

Friendly, clean, comfortable.
My stay was rushed due tona sick family member and i had to come in from out of state. The staff was super friendly and nice. The facility and room was clean and comfortable. The only downfall was the smell of Marijuana in the halls the whole time and the room didnt have an option for better lighting if needed. I will stay here again when i need to come back to town.

Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We only stayed 1 night, arriving late and left early the next day. Parking is free but there didn’t seem to be much of it. The lot is shared with a gas station and McDonalds. The front desk person was welcoming and checked us in quickly. I'd stay again on our next road trip.

This might be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Our room smelled so strongly of BO that we put T shirts over the pillows because the pillow cases actually stunk. There is a Mcdonalds on one side, a 7 11 on the other with gas pumps- traffic, trash and beaming lights in the windows all night. Our curtains were torn and taped back up with duct tape. The lobby smelled like a sewage back up. The coffee was actually decent, one redeeming item. However all the cereal was stale. I hated this hotel so much! I don't normally write any negative reviews but this was pretty gross. Price should have been around the $69/night mark... then I would have known to steer clear. For $169/night, I knew we weren't getting the Taj Mahal, but a cheap decent hotel was fine for what we needed. This was neither cheap nor decent.

Staff seems to be doing as best they can under the conditions, I suppose. The building has issues. Our room appeared to have mildew or black mold in the walls that was making its way through the paint, etc. Floor felt damp and when I took off my shoes my socks got soggy. The beds were clean, but the furniture in the room left a lot to be desired. The desk appeared to have nearly collapsed under something or someone(s) very heavy, it bowed out at the sides and wobbled when I placed anything on it. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is not good, and the building is in a very strange location (it is small, it has a McDonalds out front and its back faces a gas station). There were panhandlers outside that I had to deter when loading the car and several folks had to be asked to leave at breakfast because they were not guests at the hotel (if they were homeless, they were clean and freshly dressed, so I'm not sure what the deal was, but they had apparently been in several times that week. The woman on staff was very nice to them and handled the whole thing very well) The price of the room was far too high considering all these things. Mediocre breakfast, too. Really the only positive was that the staff was friendly. We almost bailed and went to a different hotel.

Only suggestion the air in # 305 DO NOT work the best. Therefore on those days when it was humid outside it was very hot in the room. Often than the air not working properly it was a good stay.

Easy access and local for the event we attended.
Desk attendant was not friendly at all.
The room 112 we were assigned thermostat was not working to provide heat. I asked for another room she acted like I was bothering her to make the transfer of rooms. The overall condition of room 205 was much better.

Hotel is less than a 1/4 mile to a rail/road crossing so trains are blowing their horn every 1-2 hours, even through the night.

The hotel was fine for a quick stay on our way to Florida. The hotel showed wear, the workers lax and the breakfast seemed repeated. Not as good as other Comfort Inns.

Unfriendly front desk people-both i encountered didn't really seem to care about anything, temperature in room wouldn't cool past 78 so it was hot. Ive stayed here before, too bad the quality and customer service has gone down. There's better options nearby, i won't stay here again.

Convient for an overnight right off the interstate, but parking is bad, area not too good. The hotel is sold out constantly because its more of an extended stay for locals. No water pressure at all in the shower. Would not stay again unless just overnight passing through.

Im a Va native living out of state due to military orders. Booked a room here and after a 2 hour drive was told I could not stay because my address was within 50 miles of the hotel. Called customer service and was hung up on twice. When I finally was able to get assistance I was moved to a different location which was beyond outdated. The room was disgusting. Permanent stains on just about everything including the shower and bedding. The staff (despite my anger and frustration) were nice and obviously looking to just do their job. My complaint is not with them…but with the company and the condition of the rooms at the Chester location. The rooms alone will not have me rebooking here ever again.

The hotel seemed to be clean and the staff was courtesy. They need to get new pillows and the furniture had some wear and tear. But on a phone over all I enjoyed my visit. The McDonald’s, subway, gas station and convenient store was a big plus

The room had a smell and the remote wasn’t working. I had to turn on the television and change the channels with the buttons on the back. Ask the front desk for batteries. They only had AA batteries available. The remote required AAA.

I thought the room was very clean, the bed was really comfortable (and I loved the fluffy pillows - my husband? Notsomuch, but we found after that we could have asked for a flat one for him). The staff was really very nice and helpful!
The breakfast, however, was not even meh. The eggs were bland and pilly, the sausage links were really inedible, and the coffee was...well, meh. Okay, I guess, but not really enjoyable. Maybe I'm counting too much on the breakfast choices, but we book places so we can grab a halfway decent breakfast and hit the road; just didn't find this one halfway decent. It was a Thursday morning, so maybe it's better on the weekends. Here's hopin' for those who come behind.

Our 1 night stay while traveling was fine. The hotel (although a bit dated) was clean and tidy. The only negative would be that there are no easy dining options and after traveling for several hours the last thing we wanted to do was "drive" to a restaurant. There is a McDonalds next door, so if you're ok with that then your good.

Room was very clean and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows (both firm and soft). Only downside was that water pressure in the shower was a little low, but otherwise everything was excellent. Would stay here again.

This place is okay for one overnight as it is close to I-95 and gas stations nearby.
Our room had a huge concrete Fassade in front of the window not allowing much light into the room.
If you just came for the night would be okay, otherwise not!

It was really bizarre, the hotel has a policy that you have to live at least 50 miles away in order to stay there. We were allowed to stay because we booked thru Expedia however. I would stay there again but this is a stupid policy by the hotel owner. It's a nice hotel tho beds are comfortable.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I have moved out of the area but because my ID still had a local address I wasn't allowed to stay I had planned to use this hotel to book several rooms for my daughters wedding but that wont be happening

The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean as was the room. The room had a musty odor. the breakfast was adequate, but the coffee machine made weak coffee.

This is a lovely new hotel, and is very reasonable. The only downside is that there are only two fast food type restaurants next to it. Nothing else at the exit.

I called prior to check in and the msle desk clerk hung up on me mid question ..i called back , explained HE hung up on me mid conversation and asked my questions regarding check in time and billing.
The following day i went out to my event ,upon my return i came back to find my door unlocked and belongings out in the open ,worse i was a female traveler alone in a ground floor room.
I immediately went to the desk showed the FEMALE desk clerk and was told she would mention it to the Day mgr...i checked out early.

Overall it was a great stay. Power went out for about 90-120 minutes the first night at no fault of the Hotel. Staff was courteous during the issue.
