The room we were in was so badly kept. It was old, mini fridge was rusted and dented, cabinets were broken, the tub was moldy and rusting. Terrible water pressure and worse of all the check in staff are EXTREMELY rude, no interpersonal skills at all. Never again!

I am disappointed with Expedia for rating Castle Beach Suites by MiaRentals with 4 1/2 stars. No Way! When my wife and I checked in to Unit No. 1202 at 5:00 pm on Dec. 10, 2023 (my wife's 55th milestone B-day getaway), we were met with a contracted security guard service representative. They handled all the check-in protocols, no concierge or manager onsite, at all. After check-in, we left to eat and later that evening when we arrived to our room at 10:00 pm, we were met with a rattling-noisy HVAC fan and a harsh damp and musty smell. Awful! The windows only opened 4" and would not stay ajar, immediately shut closed. We went right to sleep and woke in the morning to a nightmare of moldy spores on the ceiling. (pictures available). When looking to shower and wash-up, we noticed poor caulking at all corners of bathroom and entry hall along with falling baseboard tiles. Really bad. The bathtub was stained with dark spots from who-knows-what. The battery cover for the smoke detector was slid open and the battery missing! What a huge safety concern. We never unpacked, barely washed-up and left the room with all our belongings, knowing we would not continue to expose ourselves to airborne mold spores. My true regret is not reporting the conditions to the Miami-Dade Public Health Department, I cannot fathom that MiaRentals is not aware of these conditions. I am looking forward to submitting photos of these events listed and hope Expedia does a better job of screening their lodging.

The location was perfect, the room was exactly what we needed and the cost was very friendly. It was super convenient to have 2 stores within property for essential needs. I was a little dissapointed that the pool was still in the works and not available. Would certainly recommend for singles, couples or families.

Parking is valet only and is free- after tipping multiple times to get the car in/out, it was still cheaper than most places pay to park rate. The valet staff was excellent.
Check in was fine- the code they gave me to enter the room was incorrect, and i needed to call another number to get the correct code- the person I reached was quick and courteous and i was in the room in no time after that.
The room was clean, but the door to the room was sticky feeling and the white paint was discolored/yellowish in areas. It rained hard/windy while we stayed here- I noticed water pooling on the floor coming from the wall with windows on it. I could see the water coming in from under the baseboard trim. I called maintenance since there was so much water, one of the posts of the bed was in the water and it was wicking up the wooden leg. He came and laid towels down, and said to keep them there since that would prevent more water from coming in... it looked like this was an issue before as there is poor dry wall repair under all the windows.
The tub was painted white at some point and the paint was chipping off, the toilet seat was worn down through the finish and discolored, although, again, seemed clean. There is no ventilation in the bathroom -it creates a sauna when taking a shower. The ceiling looks like mold or mildew is growing.
Overall, I would probably stay here again due to the price, location with direct beach access, free trolley stop in front of the hotel.

The day of check out we had no running water and customer service wouldn’t do anything to help us. The room smelled like mold. They had a total of 4 elevators and only 1 worked. No room service came by with a 4 day stay. Extremely stiff beds. Do not recommend.

Castle Beach Suites should be sued for false advertisement. The property should be listed as a motel as opposed to a hotel.
There’s were several issues with my room
1.) The toilet was leaking from day 1
2.) There were small roaches
3.) the curtains were dirty
4.) The rental MiaRentals was unreachable
5.) They never cleaned the room throughout my stay.

It was absolutely GROSS!! It smells like urine as soon as I walked in the building..When we got to the room it was was giving High Rise Projects...We didn't even stay here but 1 night out 4 we payed for...as it has ROACHES and holes in the wall...walls were black from dirt and the floor was grimy and slippery!! DO NOT STAY HERE..THANK GOD I knew people that had an extra room as we were ready to stay in the car...ANYWHERE but here!!!! Disappointed AND disgusting.

Even though the pool and hot tub were under construction, I really loved my stay here from the valle parking to the conditions of the room and the view of the sunrise over the beach and ocean is breathtaking. the only problem i had was the work on the 10th floor ac and water affected the 8th floor as well...my room was really hot Wednesday night.

The hotel was conveniently located near the beach, but that’s about it. The AC was broken and maintenance was called and never showed up and I heard this was the case from other units as well. The water was off for an entire day. The pool is shut down and there were ants in the unit… on 15th floor…

I rate this property 5 out of 10. The room is standard, old, in need of updates.. Beds are not comfortable. Elevator, Laundry, other amenities are less than standard. Pool is close but it was not published on the website until a non-refundable booking was completed (not sure who was at fault for this- 3rd party or renting agency).
What made a 5 intead of a 0. Beach is steps away, room was affordable. Location is great near great restaurants.... the best part of this location is parking-included. The parking management are incredibly nice...
If you are looking for an affordable place with little amenities... just to spend a few nights and rather spend your time outdoors, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a clean, relaxed, enjoyable room please go elsewhere.

The front desk staff were super rude, the hotel is in a really bad condition, the pool is closed and under construction, the code for the room is not the same as the code to the beach entrance, the front desk never shares the code and simply ignored the request and says some other guests will open the door as they are going there. The Bay Area are condominiums for rent in really bad conditions, infested with roaches, towels are so dirty looking yellowish rather than “white towels”

The location was amazing, super close to the beach. The room however, was disgusting. The tiles on the floor were cracked and sharp. The peep hole in the door was missing and you could see straight into the room. The worst of it was the bathroom. There was mold and chunky build up all over the wall behind the toilet that looked like they tried to cover it up with silicone or paint. The shower drain was dirty and rusted. The shower curtain was moldy and had hair all over it. The beds were hard and uncomfortable.

The only thing i really like about this place is the location. The free trolley and bus stop right outside. The beach just steps away and the view from the room was gorge. The room and building needs some tlc and exterminator. When i was packing to leave i had to shake my belongings properly so i won't take roaches home with me.

I really did enjoy my stay at Mia Rentals. They are great pricing that I could afford specially being on their website that it said it was $22.50 a day.. I was told that that was only for long-term bookings of more than 10 days so I booked for 27. Then I was told that I was not paying that right in that that was only for the one night.. even though it was on their webpage and all over it showed the price was down at the 2250. When I called the owner and spoke to them, they absolutely refused to honor the rate that was on their own page., they proceeded to tell me they would not honor the rate that Expedia had, and that they would charge me $60 a night no matter what. Then we had to pay the deposit the next day because it was too late at night to move money., and I didn’t call quick enough and pissed Owner off and then he asked me to leave. So I left with a rather bad vibe left between me and the owner.. I wasn’t not going to pay him. I absolutely was.. he was just very impatient about it and then rude. So I won’t be going back there. People really need to learn customer service specially in Miami.Beach. They don’t treat people very good there.. and they treat Americans really bad. Like we are the outsiders.. I wasn’t expecting that, because Florida is part of the United States. I thought that etiquette for Americans with throughout the country. As far as the property, it was very nice the room was nice. I couldn't stay the night, the room smelled terrible, everything looked bad, I took a photo of the door all broken, I didn't feel safe.
I called miami rents if they could change my room or if they could offer me something else and the answer was simply no to everything. I decided to leave the room 10 minutes after the checkup.
I feel like I was scammed.

Pleasantly surprised by the facility. Room was clean with plenty of room. The only problem was the air conditioner was not working too well. Restaurant was nice and food good. Right on beach and the valet parking crew were incredible!!!!

The registration process was. a mess, only one person at the site with the line getting longer and longer. Another thing they have carrying carts available up the stairs, way up there, so everyone had to carry luggages and everything they had up the stairs with no one to help, I saw older people struggling to carry their belongings up the stairs, to then stand in the registration line for what felt like forever. The elevators that were supposed to be smart elevators took forever, many guests including myself were frustrated waiting for an elevator only to have them stop on many different floors where no one was getting off. Thank god we were there for only one day.

I can NOT believe you people still have the audacity to ask how was my experience with you people. First of all the room that you people advertise on the website is nowhere near what I got. Second of all the room had patches on the wall a hole in the window with a tube going out the floor had water from the rain on that day. The room stunk like mold and humidity. The front door knob was half falling. They called it THE SUPERIOR ROOM more like LIKE THE SUPERIOR DUMB. You people are ridiculous to be renting out this room with all the damages it had I am pretty sure it has code violations. Oh and I rented a room enough for eight people and they gave me enough for six people. The room had a loft bolted down that could not be accessible. I wonder why…….horrible place I walked in and walked right out. This was a nightmare vacation for myself and family.

The building & lobby were beautiful. I felt like an almost grand hotel coming in; until, I got to the room. The room looked like it hasn't been updated since 1990; the AC barely worked, couldn't open any of the 3 windows in the entire suite, the bed was lumpy, there was only 2 towels for a room for 5, the floor was dirty, paint was peeling, the TV didn't work....And no way to contact housekeeping for more towels. What did I pay a resort fee for??? Plus the "security" guard wasn't very friendly and would direct people to stay to one side of the stairs, but when there was a large group they let them block the stairs and no one could around -- even when our uber was there to pick us up.

Check in process in this place is absolutely ridiculous, after waiting 45 minutes for them to get the right paper to fill out to check in,we get to our room the code doesn’t work and all they can do is tell us to call a number Mia rentals who are not picking up the phone or returning text and calls, with our little kids at the door about to give up my friend tries a random code often use to reset this systems and it opens.
The elevators are a nightmare, goodluck.
Finally i have to mention, how rude and dismissive the security ladies are, yes they are the one who check the guest in, its unbelievable .
We just wanted a larger room for one night and we were trying to save money but still wanted to stay on the beach, if you can afford it , don’t stay there at all.
I really don’t like to put unpleasant reviews but this one I had to.

Paid for early check in, was not able to check until until an hour after that - front desk couldn’t find some paperwork.
Sent 2 emails with 2 different requests to the direct contact provided no responses.
No beach towels are provided.
Room feels veryyy old and falling apart but view of ocean and location is unbeatable.

Room was good. Nice to have s full size fridge and can't beat the location. Right on the beach nice pool area. Only complaints I would have are that the blankets are not the best and when we ran out of toilet paper and asked where to get more we were told to call our host. I'm not even sure how to get a hold of the host. So when you're out getting supplies for your stay make sure to grab extra toilet paper!

I made a mistake of thinking this was a hotel. It’s not! Once we arrived the non communicative person said “I need your ID” and then handed me a paper to sign and said “take a picture of this”. I took the picture but had no idea why. She made a copy of my ID and then said “elevators that way”. When I asked about a key and such she said “that’s why I had you take a picture”. Got to the room and it looks nothing like the pictures. People are yelling down the hallway at 3am. The A/C doesn’t work. The gym is nothing like the pictures online. All the equipment is broken and not just slightly broken but completely broken. When I pulled an incline bench out it fell apart. This property is probably the worst place I’ve ever stayed at and check out is at 10am in order to make sure the room is ready for the next guest….Unless you want to pay 30 extra dollars per hour you want to extend the check out. I booked through Expedia and will pay attention in the future to make sure I get a real hotel and not someone’s run down rental unit which in my opinion should not be something Expedia allows.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was exactly what I expected based on the price. The people in the next room seemed to be smoking mj (my only complaint). The building is older, but our room was extremely clean, with new mattresses and linens. The staff at the front desk, security guard, and valet were very nice (which can be rare for Miami).
If you want to wash clothes, you must have two $5 bills (just the way the machine works). We had no problems with the elevators. Valet took a while at peak times, but that is normal for the beach. Overall, I was happy with the room for the price.

I gotta say the Google reviews really scared me. My wife almost made me book at a different place. Yet, we stuck to it, yes, parts of the room were a bit old but they painted over. But it was a good room regardless. Would come back to this place definitely. Valet is really good, yes I did wait once like 10 mins to get my car. But there was a lot of people arriving and leaving. Really good for the price.

Checked in at 11 pm and checked out the next morning- the room was disgusting. Blood, hair and food on the sheets. Broken cabinet in the bathroom which was hanging. Showers are nasty!! Knife behind the headboard in which you can see through the headboard so that’s how we seen it. They would not reimburse me as I paid for a 6 night stay. I also have pictures of the room!

We stayed in Castle Beach Suites for 4 days. Everything was perfect. Perfect kitchen, Lots of beach towels, clean and the best view. Valet parking was smooth and very fast. The guys working there are all very polite and nice.
We wiIl definitely come back and recommend our friends to stay there.

The rooms were clean but this is a very dated hotel. I stayed here with my husband and 3 kids. This is NOT a hotel for families. We booked it because it was so close to the beach. The pool needs some repairs and is quite dated. Our AC didn’t work
and no one came to fix it. If you are just looking for a property with absolutely NO amenities then this is the place for you. The beach of course was beautiful.
