Major road noise
Check in was friendly and fast. Unfortunately, our room was on the west side next to I-85. I was very bothered by the big rigs running through the room. If that bothers you, ask for a room on the east side of hotel.

This motel is located right off I-85 so it was a convenient place to stop while traveling. The room was good-sized and clean. The breakfast was not good. There were two heels of a loaf of bread, some stale-looking muffins, and some overcooked microwave omelets. This was at 7:30. We decided to skip breakfast.

I was well pleased with the facility and the kindness and courtesy shown to us. We were even offered a chance to change our room if it was too noisy due to it being near the interstae side of the Inn. I will definately be booking another stay with the Sleep Inn in the future. I hope all them are like this one! :)

The staff and everyone we came on contact with was always pleasant. I seen the same 10 muffins at breakfast during our 3 day stay. Very affordable hotel with a good bed.

Pool was open. Crystal blue. Room was clean and large. Front desk staff remembered me and felt like homecoming. Love their fresh coffee making machine at the front. Always hot. Really enjoy my visits here.I will be back. Breakfast is always convenient.

The room was dirty and very small. Weird round shower. Mattresses were on metal stands. We all banged our knees on the corners of the metal. Breakfast was below average. However, the front desk staff were very nice and helpful.

The staff was very friendly, pleasant, and accommodating. Our room was clean and equipped with everything we wanted, (clean linen, microwave, refrigerator, ironing board and iron, hair dryer.) Everything in the room worked well and we did not have to call maintenance at all. This was an awesome experience, without event! I would return whenever I'm back in SC.😁

Good place to stay for the price. Easy access to I-85 and convenient to gas food etc. The rooms were clean and pool was clean. The breakfast was good. The yard was little overgrown so it was hard to take the dog out for her business but overall I would definitely stay again.

We planned a 3 night stay at this hotel for my sister in laws wedding. We arrived around 9pm and with a young child we ate dinner and went to bed. My husband took a shower before he went to bed and saw fecal matter on the bathroom walls in several places. The shower had hair all over the walls and baby powder on the floor of the shower.
Since my daughter and I were asleep he just decided to stay. The next morning I got up to shower and observed the disgusting restroom. We showered and I walked across the floor of the hotel room telling my husband even after the shower I didn’t feel clean. I decided since we were attending a church ceremony outside, I would put on baby powder. Well, I went back to rinse off and my feet were BLACK from walking on the carpet. I am Caucasian. We checked out and I said I would argue a refund with Hotels.com. The manager wouldn’t come out to talk to me but told the front desk I would be refunded. I have not been refunded yet.
Oh and the fire hazard hair dryer.

Pool was empty, no gathering areas inside, breakfast area was 100 degrees and food wasn't good, room was musty and smelled like smoke. Broken down van in parking lot with grill- possibly homeless people living there. Staff was nice, but hotel was terrible besides the location. Went with a ball team and we had to congregate in the parking lot. Do not recommend.

Our TV did not work and staff did not offer to help in trying to get it to work. We were just offered another room, but did not want to deal with moving. Also, we had a cockroach crawl across our wall.

Make sure you don’t forget your items
Our stay was good but I left my jacket there. I called them and they said they found it and would mail it to me. I waited a week and called back. The manager talked to me and said she would find it and mail it to me and she would call when she mailed it. Never heard from them again.

A Hidden Gem!
We booked 2 rooms for a business stay. At other hotels, we have had difficulties, but not at the Sleep Inn. Their Service, Staff, and Value is head and shoulders above the premium hotels that we typically stay at. Amy, at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure that our late check-in and stay was comfortable. We just can't say enough positive about this place.

The evening staff was amazing. Ms. Melinda made any issue seem small because of here pleasant attitude and demeanor. She made you feel like you knew her forever. 1st room carpet had some stains and hall carpet could have been cleaner and the bathroom is small. Overall it was a good stay because we decided stay in town and get another room here. The 2nd room was great. I would definitely stay here again.

My only negative is the interstate noise. We checked our wind onto see if it had been left open due to how loud it was. I wear hearing aids and it was as if you were sleeping right next to the road.

While the property itself was "rough around the edges" (paint chipping, strange smells here and there, etc.), the person working at the desk the evening we arrived was phenomenal; kind, considerate, helpful, encouraging, and more when we needed help.
Our original room had a terrible smell in it and we were moved immediately to another room. We encouraged to share any concerns we had in a genuine way our feedback was acknowledged; we felt heard.
When we were looking for a place to access food in the local area (we needed to walk there), the desk attendant was forthcoming and extremely helpful with offering a variety of suggestions.
Finally, we needed to park a truck and tow-behind camper for the night and they were fully accommodating with getting us set up in the parking area to do that safely and with space to pull out when we left the next day.
The cleaning staff were incredibly nice and our room was immaculate.
A breakfast was offered and even through it was a relatively small counter area, I was very impressed by the selection of both warm and cold options.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for a reasonably priced option while traveling, can put up with a bit of a run down building, but is looking for a conscientious and wonderful staff. They were the gem of our stay!

I have stayed here before with no issues. This time the check in employee was frustrated that I arrived two hours before check in and immediately said I could not check in and she got in trouble last week because she allowed someone. I explained I have checked in early before and was told if rooms are available it wasn't an issue. Staff then, with attitude, looked for another room. A room was available and then when she saw I was from Gaffney, she proceeded to tell me they are not suppose to allow resident's to stay. Regardless, she proceeded to 'find' me a room and let me know I will not be allowed to check in early again and stay if I'm a resident. I wanted to let you know I have stayed in Choice hotels in several areas and this is the first I have been treated rudely.

Not a happy experience
The hotel workers are friendly and nice. They are doing their best given the conditions of the hotel that is out of their control. Everything else was disappointing. Luckily we were staying just one night. Not recommended for family stay. A last resort type of hotel.

Friendly staff but not very good cleaners
The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Our 1st room was almost ready for guest with one exception. The toilet had urine and toilet paper in it and it would not flush. We were moved to the 3rd floor. They were still cleaning the room we were moved to. We told the front desk that we would take our bags with us to the casino to allow them to finish the room. Upon our return there was still mud on the carpet and they had not closed our door. It and several other were left open by the cleaning person. So we had 2 key that we had no use for because the room was never secured by staff. I know everyone is short staffed but PLEASE do not take our money if you are not going to properly prepare the room for our stay.

We got what we paid for I guess, The rooms are horrible, dirty and the smell is horrendous. Our bathrooms shower curtain had mold all over it and our bed was so sunkin in, the sheets had a few stains… Luckily we just stopped for a few hours to sleep and hit the road again!

Poorly sealed windows meant hearing the highway ALL day and night. Bathroom shower wall cracked, low water and it dripped all night. Toilet ran. TV remote didnt work. Air was hard to regulate.

When we arrived they had given our room away. We had paid for it in advance and when we got there they didn’t have a room for us. I guess they didn’t realize we had paid in advance. Did end up giving us a room at another hotel but super inconvenient!

I requested a king size bed, got there at 5 pm and was told we have no more king size beds. The toilet seat was broken and I was told “we don’t have maintenance on the weekend. I realize we are still going through COVID season and perhaps that is why they didn’t clean the room. However, there was no sign indicating that, none of the staff wore mask. When I requested towels, they were left on top of the TV, along with a garbage bag. Needless to say, unless it is an emergency, I will never stay there again.

The Hotel was great as always we have stayed there many nights before. The problem was the main reason I choose this hotel was the pool and spa and the where out of service. Very disappointing after I had planned my travels for the day based on that.

A nice comfortable relaxing stay
Quick check in. Had a issue with tv but problem was resolved quickly. Beds are very comfortable super soft beds. Felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Had no problem falling asleep. U can hear some noise from interstate 85 but is expected since it’s so close to it.

I’ve should’ve slepted in my car
I had to move rooms TWICE...1st toilet DIDNT flush & room had a mildew smell, 2nd right next door...when you flushed the toilet; water flooded bathroom..I will never stay @ another Sleep Inn again!

Good place for a quick stop !
Great place for a quick trip. Staff were especially great. Very clean and modern.
My only complaint, which is really no fault of the hotel but still worth noting, is that the hotel is situated literally right beside an Interstate highway. I mean, super close. So, if you're placed in a room on that particular side of the hotel, you can expect typical highway noises nonstop.

The daytime front desk lady was very nice and helpful and assisted me in changing rooms after two days of a non-flushing proper toilet. The property needs walls cleaned and painted, and better attention to the floor cleanliness, I observed garbage on the floor of the hallways for the entire duration of time I stayed (five days). My main complaint was that on one of the evenings, after getting to bed at 8 pm (I needed to be up at 4 a.m. the following morning) I was unable to sleep until 10:30 pm because the rooms surrounding me were being cleaned and vacuumed by a housekeeper. The front desk told me that they had a lot of check-outs that day, and she would be done in an hour or so. It was completed by 10 p.m., however I had also noticed when I left at noon that day that no housekeeping was present on my floor for any rooms that morning. This is unacceptable in a motel and there should never be cleaning occurring in the evening hours when residents are resting. I checked out (with notice two days prior) a day earlier due to this, but was still charged a portion of my last day's stay due to the "deal" I had gotten with my online reservation.

The chair at the desk in the room had a huge tear. You couldn’t sit in it if you wanted to. The comforter had some small stains. I think there had once been a light fixture on the wall because the repair job is very noticeable. Bathroom could use some repair work. We were on the 3rd floor.
The front desk staff were amazing. We checked in around 9:00pm. The lady was extremely nice and helpful. Knew answers to all my questions for our plans the next day. Checking out the next day, the 2 young ladies were nice talking to. Didn’t really have much to say to them other than we were checking out and thank you for our stay.

This place was run down and nasty. I can handle run down but not nasty. We wore shoes in the shower due to the nastiness. I could see it if it were priced for nasty but it was not. When I return, I won’t stay there Ever again. Even if I have to stay inSpartanburg.

We checked into room 211 which had no working telephone and no working tv. The bed was so worn out it sagged in the middle and the wire around the outside could be felt. We were moved to room 305 which had no working toilet and a bed comparable to the previous room. We were moved yet again to room 315 . The final room was adequate at best. It had a working toilet, tv, and telephone but the bed while better than the previous two was marginal. We visited the breakfast buffet the following morning to discover a nice selection of expected food. However, there was no regular coffee, only decaffinated. We made the decision to have breakfast off site. The staff must have been familiar with all the issues in the hotel because they were very quick about moving us to another room each time. To say we were disappointed is quite the understatement. However, I must commend the staff because everyone we encountered was friendly and efficient. But we will choose another hotel for our next stay.

One of the queen beds was terrible to sleep in. Woke up 3-5 days every morning with back and torso pain. Almost slept on the floor during one night. Ultimately had to find a spot on the very edge of the bed to sleep on the last few days. So, I did not get restful sleep.

Sleep Inn of Gaffney is the Best!!!
My stay at Sleep Inn was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The swimming pool and breakfast buffet was amazing! 24 hour coffee. It's just an amazing hotel.

It was near where i had to be.
When i checked in staff didn't know how to check me in.
Pool was dirty. Bottom was black with spots of blue.
Stayed 3 night got clean towels but room wasnt cleaned.
Asked staff to fix key so i could reenter room at 7am on last day of my stay and was told no.
Was heading into breakfast bar for juice 5 minutes before it closed and the staff rudely closed so I couldn't got any told her I only wanted some juice was told sould of got up sooner.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there.

This property is what one would expect from an inexpensive hotel along the highway. Where this property soared was with the staff who were all things kind, friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was a nice amenity, that one wouldn’t expect from a property at this price. And everything was clean and orderly around the hotel. However the rooms smelled funny, and the a/c units were overly noisy. The furniture was old and tired. The bath area was odd with the type of shower that looks like it came from the late 70’s. This used to be a nice clean property for the monies spent.
It has really gone down hill. We found dead roaches in the room. The bed bent down like the frame was broken. Our room was changed but we will nit be staying here again.

Needs some work

Front desk help was great. My son was participating in a Spartan race and he was covered in red mud...twice. Extra towels were great. Beds were great, soft sheets. Soft towels.

Check your bill for extra charges!
This hotel was clean and in a great location for our visit to attend a graduation. All was well until checkout when I noticed a &45 charge on our bill for a "pet fee". WE DID NOT BRING A DOG IN THE HOTEL!I spoke with the desk attendant and was told someone saw us with a dog at checkin. We indeed feud deliver a 9 wk old puppy to our daughter in the parking lot on our arrival. No one ever asked us if we had a dog in the room. They simply added the charge. The desk clerk did credit my card the $45 but said it was contingent on there. Wing no evidence of a dog in the room! I suggested they check their security tapes. I will never stay here again. Courtesy of asking before billing after a 3 day stay is not too much to ask.
