I did not like that pool was cold .. jacuzzi heater was also broken for a while.. they are charging for use of the wine glasses I thought that was odd .. but overall nice place ..

It is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beach. However, there is not a lot of things to do on the site and everything closes at 10pm.

Our room overlooked the parking lot. I requested either a water view or resort view, NOT a parking lot view! You have to call the front desk and request to have your room cleaned. I asked for a laundry bag (not one in the closet) and after 90 min of waiting, I gave up. And on our last day, the water in the entire resort stopped working. So glad I wasn't in the shower at the time. Unacceptable. Will not return to this hotel.

Playa Largo was incredible! We had an amazing time. The location was perfect but make sure to have a car. Rooms were extremely comfortable. We did have an issue with the hot water in the shower, we somehow figured out that if you run the hot water in the sink and run the shower at the same time the water warmed up. If you didn't do this, then you were taking a cold shower. This was in the Reef Tower, not sure if it's the same in other buildings.
Food options were good, but could've been a little more abundant. If you are someone who just needs to grab a bite, it will be more then ok. If you are looking for vast options, then you may want to travel off the resort like we did.
You can be as busy, or as chill as you want. The resort beach always had chairs to lounge in, and were never full. The staff is always on the lookout, and walking around catering to the guests so big up to them.
All in all we really enjoyed our trip to Playa Largo and will return again one day for sure. 4 stars was only cause of the hot water, and the Fee Heavy check out, but I guess it's part of the game.

Love the staff and the breakfast was amazing. Everything about it was awesome, but there's a resort fee. There's a parking fee of $25 a day that expected to tell you about and they charge you at the end so make sure to look up all the hidden cost to stay here

Me and my wife went here for our honeymoon last week and all the staff treated us very well! I’d like to give a special shout out to one of the bartenders Jean. He did an outstanding job! He made us the best drinks either one of us had ever had and helped us have an amazing trip for our honeymoon! Thanks again!

We loved our stay. I was disappointed by the Spa. When my daughter and I entered and asked to talk about services we were “pointed” to a code on the wall. There was no greeting (service lacking). First she told us there was a massage opening, but then apologized as there was not. We absolutely loved resort. Spa personnel (up front) need better training to welcome clients.

Nice resort but cleanliness is not top priority. Kids and adults were eating while still in the pool and there were way to many kids in the pool to enjoy it. I sat by pool for a couple hours and never saw one kid get out to use restroom.

Somewhat surprized no security at night, it was lovely and quiet throughout the week however at the weekends the place seemed to fill up with people with no wrist bands randomly having picnics on the beach and around the pool. Dining is a little limited as well.
That said enjoyed it and would go back

Lots of hidden extra fees we were told self parking was free and valet was $30 so we self-parked and were charged $25. Today we sat at a table at the sandbar for over 30 minutes for lunch and no one ever came by not even with water or to give us menus so we decided to leave and had lunch at hobos. I think every restaraunt at the resort was overpriced and the service was mediocre. Servings were small.

The room was very dirty and the balcony. For the price you pay per night plus the parking and resort fee, they still charge for everything. There is a place on site that rents kayaks etc..and they were going to charge for my son to use a life jacket in the ocean. They have a large floating barge in the ocean and no guest can use it unless they pay the daily charge which varies. This ranges from $300-$500 per day. We will never go back even though the resort itself and the grounds are very pretty.

Overall, the resort is absolutely beautiful. The pool is the definite highlight of the resort. The heat in August made the ocean almost unbearable (91F) and the beach as well. The restaurants were good, but pricey as you would expect on a resort. Good options for breakfast outside of the resort. Doc's Diner was awesome. There was also a roadside little breakfast truck that served the best breakfast sandwiches across the street from the resort. There isn't much in terms of nice dinner places outside of the resort, so we ended up staying on the resort most nights. Sol is the better of the two and has a nice view.
The housekeeping is the biggest downfall of the resort. We didn't have our room cleaned once. Most days the housekeeping cart would make it through the first 6 rooms and that is it. We were at the end of the hall, so they never made it us and we would grab clean towels off the cart. We put in multiple requests to have it done with no luck. If they didn't make it to our room by 5 it was quitting time. Rest of the staff was amazing and accommodating. Truly some really nice people on the resort.

The resort was clean and we had a nice stay. However, I was a bit taken back finding out about the $50/day resort fee at the end of my 5 night stay. When adding the parking fee and taxes, my stay was almost $100 more per night. I was not told about the fee when I booked my stay or when checking in.
The eventide event each night was also nice. But, the drinks at the event were nearly $20 each. My wife and I were charged $40 for two drinks. It seemed a bit excessive for a party drink mix in a 12oz plastic cup.
The resort restaurant food was good and the resort staff were very nice and friendly.
I suppose I was just left a little unsatisfied after booking a 5 night stay, eating at the resort restaurants, and drinking at the resort bar, only to pay an additional $500 plus in fees when checking out.

Please, always check the bill!!!
Everything was OK until the check out. They charged me almost $800 more than expected because they made the mistake of not looking at the reservation made at Hotels.com where hotel was paid in advance. Even though they said they will refund those $800, I’m very disappointed that it’ll take 5 days to get the money back in my bank account.
In other words, the hotel used my credit card and charged me twice in less than 24 hours but will take 5 days to return money.

Leisure trip with friends & family, had an absolute blast!

Need training on staff
The property is nice, the staff that works at the pool and bars are lovely, but the administrative part of the hotel is terrible and poorly trained. I was given the wrong information about the restaurant hours, which made me fast due to have delaying my dinner, decision made with the wrong info. After my stay I was charged 800 USD with no explanation, making my account overdrawn. It is still unsolved. I totally not recommend the hotel.

We like the room and hotel grounds, however the lobby bathrooms were filthy and toilets were clogged, also we went for lunch to La marea and we were informed by the manager that they were short staffed, very unprofessional for such as expensive restaurant .

While the property amenities are fabulous and the staff is terrific, I was let down by the cleanliness of the room where we stayed. We booked the suite with a view to the bay and that certainly did not disappoint. Unfortunately the shower was visibly growing mold in the corners and the furniture in the room had some pretty significant wear and tear. Not what I expected from an autograph collection property. That being said, we will definitely be back because we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, but I’m hoping we have better luck with the room next time.

The property was absolutely gorgeous!! From the suite, to the pool area, to the beach, to the ocean! The tiki bar was great to have nearby and the staff was wonderful! We stayed on the property from the time we woke up until the time we went to bed on our last day. It was so relaxing and peaceful! Anyone who has a negative thing to say about this resort has got to be very hard to please, with way too high of standards! =)

This is the most amazing experience we’ve had in our entire lives. The facility was in excellent well-maintained & landscaped condition. The staff was comprised of the friendliest people one could encounter. Every staff member smiled & said hi & was so enthusiastic to help. More importantly, the staff & guests alike were so friendly to & welcoming of our toddler. Playa Largo is our resort destination forever.

Beautiful stay at Playa Largo
Playa Largo is a wonderful resort with a beautiful pool and bayside beach area. The whole staff are pleasant and outgoing. The bay view room was very spacious and well appointed. The Evening-tide nightly ceremony created a nice atmosphere to watch the sunset. If you are looking for an upscale resort that is not crazy expensive, Playa Largo is the place.

We have been to the Keys many times. This was our 1st time at Playa Largo. It is a beautiful resort. Our room was a corner suite and the picture in the ad shows a corner window looking out to unobstructed Gulf views. Our room did not have this feature. We had a glass slider with a view of mainly palm trees and pool, the Gulf was visible through the trees. The only other issue was the HVAC in our room was not working and it took 4 service calls and 3 days to fix it. The restaurants are among the best in the Keys, and the view of the Sunset from Sol by the Sea was AWESOME. We liked the "beach" above the seawall and the fact that there is water access. We took full advantage of the wait service at the pool and the "beach". This was a nice vacation.

Change policy on daycationers!
All was good we have stayed at resort 6 or 7 times. I was very disappointed in the allowance of daycationers on Saturday and Sunday it made the pool very crowded and downgraded the hotel status. Would never recommend staying on weekends. Fortunitly we got a cabana for our whole 7 day stay

Playa Largo was one of the best resorts I have been to. It’s a beautiful place with everything you need to relax and unwind.
My only complaint is that the staff made numerous errors with my booking which nearly resulted in an over charge had I not noticed it. These included an extra cabana booking as well as charging me for parking despite my not having driven there.

Beautiful property. Plenty of room to enjoy the beach and pool. Food was excellent. However, Staff are stretched to thin. Service was spotty. Also, the property is misleading about what the "real" price is to stay there. Drinks at the evening sunset celebration seem to be complimentary but they're very expensive and there are up charges they don't tell you about. Also, why should they charge $25 per day to park? You have to have a car there and there is plenty of space. Just another way to milk the customer. However, it is clearly the nicest place to stay in key largo. Evening musical entertainers were phenomenal. Top notch!

The staff was excellent!! The food was very good but took 45 minutes to be served. I found out from the staff that there was one kitchen for three restaurants and that was the usual wait time. They had a wedding that took up two large areas of the grounds. I was not told this was to happen and this made you have to take a long walk around just to get to the pool, beach and restaurants.

The beach property was beautiful. Loved the Sol restaurant. Love the Chimineas and the Adirondack chairs by the beach, but wish they would light the fires in the chimaneas at each evening. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The spy was excellent as well.

Playa Largo is a nice resort. It is a good quality place to stay. It has a beautiful location on the west side of Key Largo which means you see a beautiful sunset. The service is uneven and many times extremely slow. A better management would improve this place rapidly and make it ‘excellent’.
Go kayaking, fishing and snorkling! There are plenty of suppliers around. The experience is lovely!

General/Front Desk Manager, Cassie Driscoll, should just stay in her office behind the desk. Moved 3x the first night, had a couple of ants in bed room 1 daughter was bit a couple times, the next room Cassie said was cleaned that day, but looked like blood was smeared all on the floor. Super dusty. Stains all on top of mattresses. Never cleaned Cassie!! Booked thru Expedia so did not receive night 1 refund, but was told I would receive 80,000 Marriott pts, never got. Was told I would be credited for the resort fee & parking/taxes fee, so my invoice did not reflect the resort/parking/tax amounts, instead they fraudulently charged my CC for those charges separately from my invoice balance. I received a $200 credit which was something like the cost of a few drinks. So overly priced. Same entertainment each night. They don't tell you in advance but if a wedding is going on, just know you have no access to a part of the beach or restaurant on site. Nice place to take pics. Favorite Front Desk Staff hands down #Arc #Krystle.

Keys 2022 winter trip
Resort is nice yet our room(2115) for the cost was dirty and run down. Examples: stained carpet, mildew in shower area, broken tiles in shower, stained sofa, dirty drapes, missing photos on wall, room cleaned 1 day of 4 stayed. Couldnt move due to resort at full capacity and losing gulf view.

The property was beautiful. However, the beach chairs were the WORST I have ever sat on. Many of the chairs had dirty and/or torn cushions. The staff was always trying to do their best to keep things nice.
Our check in was delayed by three hours. We did not get the room I booked. I expected a King bed and we got a room with two queens. We also had no towels, asked once, and then had to go find some on our own.
Davina was very accommodating and did her best to keep us happy through all the problems. She really kept her cool while customers were being terribly rude to her.
