This property is great, except there is one thing. The noise. I mean one knows that it is in the downtown loop area of the city, but they seem to have a garbage processor right outside the area and all the windows are looking to this alley. 5-6 am you are woken up to a something like a loud construction noise. I spent 3 nights in this area, 2 at the Hampton Inn, and 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn, both properties have had the problem with the noise.

The property was conveniently located to everything we wanted to walk to or take the train / subway to. The staff were very attentive and service orientated. Outside of the rooms being a bit small, the hotel and location worked perfectly for us.

Outstanding staff everywhere in the hotel. My hotel room was ok. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not nice at all. The bathroom was updated, and the shower was fantastic.
The room was carpeted, and the carpet looked quite old.

Nice hotel in great location
Very nice hotel and staff. Really clean, and housekeeping staff were really nice and helpful. Snowy and windy while we were there, and room stayed comfortable. Location was very central to alot of places we went around the city, and always felt safe. Only issue was the pillows were pretty flat.

When we arrived valet parking was full at 2:30 pm so we had to park in the parking garage across the street. Woke up to my car being broke in .

We liked it for a short walk to the Harris Theater and were happy to be able to have a quick meal at the hotel before the show.

Rooms might be a tad ‘lived in’ as far as physical condition, but the hotel is great. Clean. Awesome location. Fast elevators…free coffee and for breakfast you can grab a quick bagel for $3 with a free morning paper. I would stay again on next trip

Do not stay here for business. Was instructed to call 15 minutes before I needed car. Recovering my vehicle was a 45 minute debacle, causing me to miss an important meeting. Staff was completely unconcerned and unresponsive. Very disappointing as I am a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at HGIs hundreds of times. That ends now.

Best spot to explore Chicago
Access to bus or Metro in 1-5minutes.
Only one thing, properties are not that big so I hear all the time door sounds while staying.

I appreciated the location next to the Miracle Mile and the Chicago River, and the price for a December weekend was reasonable. But, I wasn’t impressed with the staff or the valet service. Overall, average place.

Fantastic location and great value for a first-time visitor to the city. Kudos to the excellent restaurant/bar staff for establishing and maintaining a welcoming ambience for my son and me, taking personalized care to our meals and refilling our beverages regularly with no prompting.

Tried to use washer took my money. Parked my car with valet service, they don't lock the cars so someone ransacked my car. Took anything of value,left cigarettes in my car. Just a terrible experience.

Absolutely amazing stay. Rooms were very clean and well equipped but a bit old, but very taken care of. Location is awesome and between Millenium park and the magnificent mile, right by the riverwalk. Lots of dining options around. Parking is outrageous, there is one lot accross the street for $60 per overnight which is insane. But hotel was amazing, great staff, breakfast and stay overrall. Will definitely be back

The hotel is in a great location, and very walkable. Parking was a bit tricky (valet from the Hampton next door, or self-park), and expensive regardless of which you choose. The staff was friendly and helpful. The mattress was very firm, and the wooden platform it was on was squeaky. The A/C unit was noisy. The room was clean and met our needs for our overnight stay after a concert.

I lived here for the chicago marathon. The location is convenient, the room is clean.The staff are nice and helpful. The room has microwave which is very convenient for preparing early breakfast before marathon.

Very convenient location. Close proximity to everything and very walkable to the riverwalk and miracle mile, millennium park was also close enough. Staff was amazing, especially Molly who checked us in and the bartender, which now unfortunately we can't remenber his name, was excellent. Strong pours, friendly and just great customer service. Comfortable bed, clean, quiet,wonderful stay, will stay again!

The hotel is conveniently near Michigan Ave and the River. Very central to sightseeing and great eating.
All the staff we talked to was friendly and helpful; giving great suggestions for eating and places to go.
The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. This will definitely be our first choice whe. We come back to Chicago.

The property’s key system was down for more than 24 hours, and when it was finally working, the rude front desk person, after making me and several other people wait outside before buzzing the door, he could not be bothered to create a key for someone who had checked in more than 24 hours earlier while he spent 10 minutes with a single party that was just checking in.

Curtains didn't work and needed to have someone fix them. The water in the shower cut off multiple times, at one point for a full couple of minutes while I was totally lathered up and had to wait for it to come back on.

First time in Chicago and it was amazing even if it was for one day. Hotel was in a convenient place what we wanted to see. The only thing when booking it didn’t say parking was valet only or any pricing had I know I would have booked one with parking included.

I am in complete awe of the service provided by this hotel! Such friendly staff all around! Every time we left the hotel (and came back) the ladies and gentleman at the front greeted us with a smile and casual conversation! They were also very helpful when we asked questions about how to navigate the surrounding area! I had brought my mom to Chicago for her 60th and we actually got transferred to this hotel because our original booking was subpar. Needless to say, the Hilton Chicago Downtown Riverwalk saved my moms entire birthday trip and I will forever be grateful beyond belief. This will be my future hotel of choice when I visit Chicago again!

Great location to hang out along the river and in the Dt area. The Red Line is only a few blocks away so the Cubbies are easy to get to. The bed and pillows were just okay. The room was small and room 902 looks at an ally. If you can find it cheap, it's work out. If they are asking a premium for your nights, look elsewhere.

I really like this hotel. Its in good shape and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and professional. I was recognized from my last stay and warmly greeted when I checked in. The best feature is the hotels location. Its a very short walk to the river and both the Loop and River North. There are tons of dining and entertainment options nearby.
