Every time I’m in the city, I stay here. The service is always great, the rooms are clean, the restaurants on site are fantastic, and the location is convenient. Very walkable.

I found Arlo to be a great place to stay. Friendly staff that’s always willing to help. I was pleasantly surprised the awareness Arlo brings on what things you can do around the area.
The breakfast was great and the waiter staff had great recommendations.

I stayed four nights. My room was not cleaned on the first three days despite repeated requests, which was quite shocking. It was only cleaned on the final day after third complaint.

We were greeted by some super friendly staff from the bellman to the security guard , the bar was fun we went to both foxtail and the bar upstairs, the only thing I didn’t like is one night I went to the bathroom upstairs on the outside patio and it was super filthy like super filthy

Clean comfortable good access good neighborhood
We stayed in a suite facing the front. All fixtures and furniture in the room seemed new. The room was clean and comfortable; well organized with a separate desk area near the window to do work. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars-the HVAC coming on is a loud click that wakes you from a sound sleep-but it’s New York-pack some comfortable earplugs regardless of where you book.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The staff is helpful, the decor is lovely, they have a nice restaurant and bar attached (with entertainment- I enjoyed the jazz night) and the room, though tiny, was cozy and well appointed with everything I needed. Great bed and blankets, nice amenities. There is a $30 per day resort fee which I was suspicious of but they give you something for that- Citibikes, a gym, discounts at the restaurant/bar, etc. well worth it.

Warm staff and lovely common spaces
The common spaces in the Arlo
Hotel are beautiful and the front desk and other staff are authentic, friendly and helpful (special thanks to Lejandro). The two twin room option is strange, though. It’s nice to offer two twins so a friend and I could each stay in our own bed but the bathroom lacks any kind of privacy. I wouldn’t be comfortable sharing a room like this with anyone but my spouse and then we wouldn’t have twin beds. Good location, beautiful spaces but only choose twin beds if you are very open about your bathroom usage!

We had a great stay at Arlo. The staff were amazing, and the restaurants/bar in the restaurant made lazy nights super convenient.
If you’re staying for work in SoHo I highly recommend this hotel. It’s in walking distance to almost everything.
A few small details to be aware of (these would not be deal breakers for me, just caught me by surprise).
-the rooms are tiny! If you’re staying with someone be mindful of this and try to pack light since there isn’t much storage space for luggage and clothing.
-small detail but there was no coffee in the room…maybe this is normal but it was the first time I had that happen. A complimentary coffee station for guests would be nice, we were spending $15 every morning in the lobby.
-the hotel is very clean and the staff do a great job with your rooms. But it would be nice to have a small mat or something to put your shoes on by the front door.
-some sort of bedside table would be helpful too…I had to crawl over my husband and when I needed water at night.
Again all of the above is super minor and wouldn’t prevent me from staying there again. Just some food for thought!

So happy to find Arlo SoHo
I found my new home when visiting NYC. Pleasant stay from arrival to departure. Fun vibe, amazing staff, excellent cocktails,delicious breakfast and dinner. Rooms are smallish (It's NY small) and beds are very comfortable. Does not disappoint!

The heater going on and off sounds like a gun shot
There was always these abrupt noises from the room heater that was soo loud it woke me up from my sleep. Also soo many doors slamming. In addition the house keeping at 4am was rapping in the hallways as he did his rounds to the room. Just overall really difficult to get a good night sleep

We loved our stay at Arlo SoHo!!!! Staff was fabulous, very attentive and pleasant. Wish I could remember all of their names but Al, Bersalia and Alejandro to name a few were wonderful!! Our accommodations (twin terrace room) was excellent, very clean and inviting!! Can't wait to go back!

This was the second time I have stayed at Arlo Soho and I will be back. The rooms are on the cosy side but still have everything you need. The location is perfect for shopping, food, drinks, sightseeing. The staff are fruit fly and always willing to help. I love it there.

Great for a short tourist visit
Our only issue was with housekeeping--trash wasn't emptied and staff left some cleaning supplies in the room after our first night. Front desk was very helpful, location was convenient, room was fine for tourists who are spending the day out sightseeing.
Guests might want to be aware that the shower/toilet arrangement doesn't offer a lot of privacy.

The staff were all attentive and kind. We got an upgrade to a king bed at no charge. Although the room is small and it was inconvenient to not have a coffee machine or a kettle, the store at the lobby was well stocked.

Overpriced terrible experience.
Room was 3 hours delayed (couldn’t check in until 6). Lights over bed didn’t work. Lights behind bed didn’t work. Shower was dirty. Room was much smaller than advertised. Not worth anywhere near what they’re asking.

I was very excited to learn there was a bodega in the lobby of this hotel. And then I realized it’s $6 for a 6oz bottle of pop. I ordered room service, and they brought me the 6oz diet cokes that require bottle openers & then would not supply a bottle opener. They did redeem themselves by bringing me cans & refunding the bottles. I found hair in my pizza box from room service unfortunately way too late, as I had already eaten several slices. There was someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor. So I would stay here again, it wasn’t gross by any means. Just a few gross mistakes.

Al greeted us with a smile when we walked to the front desk He was easy and flexible with an early check in for my young son and I. Al was helpful, kind and professional. Each staff member acknowledged my son and I with a smile, a friendly word or comment. The entire experience was WONDERFUL start to finish. Cannot wait to go again!

The biggest draw of Arlo Soho is the location. Arlo is right next to a highly-rated restaurant and in a great neighborhood convenient to everything. The room was quite small, but the bed was very comfortable. Arlo has kind of a hostel feel so it’s nice for travelers looking for that type of environment. The hotel was very clean and everyone on staff was super nice and helpful. If I would change one thing it might be upgrading the toiletries they provide because seasoned travelers notice that kind of thing. Highly recommended.

I have shared in a few Arlo hotels in the city and this is the worst property by far. The rooms could do with being updated, the hallways are dark with dirty carpet and the rooms weren't cleaned well.

I like the water bottle refill station in the lobby and the lobby area in general is really nice with plenty of options to lounge and spend time. What I wish was more transparent when describing the rooms is that for the smaller rooms, the bathroom is not a separate enclosed space, rather an area in the room that doesn't have an actual locking door or offers much privacy from sight or sound. I also wish the rooms came with an option to heat up water either for coffee or tea. Still, the location was great and easily walkable to Soho or the West Village and the staff were friendly and helpful.

What's normally one of my favorite hotels in NYC, deeply disappointed with this trip.
To start, my Expedia status did not get recognized upon check-in. (no VIP perks offered).
All the communal areas, which I usually use daily to get work done, were all booked for events without an option of another work location (other than your own tiny room).
In the middle of the night, at 12:30 am, an engineer knocked on my door to "fix the remote control". Apparently, he had the wrong room but I didn't fall asleep until 3 am :(
The next morning there was no hot water so I started the work day without a shower. Murphy's law I guess, but frankly, my stay at Arlo Soho this time was terrible.

The staff at the Arlo Soho were very friendly and helpful with getting cabs and car services, storing luggage, etc. The hotel was clean and the restaurants were good. However, the shades in my room were broken and although I reported it the first day, they were never fixed. Also, the water in the tap was cloudy and I didn’t feel comfortable drinking it, but the hotel did not provide free water in the room fridge. They sold water in a store downstairs, but it was $6.50 for a single serve bottle!

Don't waist your money
I couldn't believe how small the rooms are and no amenities in the room like coffee or water. $350.00 a day was wasted and gave me a bad taste for New York. I will never stay there again.

This check-in situation is non-acceptable. I'm giving these guys POOR. Sending me back and forth 3 times like a dummy and making me wait while I could've done something else with my time. The manager on the floor finally managed to help. Thanks again. You can refund me via Expedia the amount we talked; I'd appreciate that! Also cleanliness is overall good, but furniture like table and chairs are worn out or have stains.

Our check-in was delayed due to an error with the computer system, which wasn’t ideal after a transatlantic flight. We waited an hour and we were compensated with coffee vouchers, which was appreciated. The room was nice, if not a little rough around the edges with some marks on the wall etc. Resort fee doesn’t really include much and our water wasn’t topped up. The guy at the desk on check-out day was indifferent and bordering on rude, however the rest of the staff were friendly and polite. This was my second stay at the Arlo SoHo and it wouldn’t be my first choice for future visits, but it’s a decent enough option.

I didn’t come to NY to spend a significant amount of time in a hotel room. Our room was small but had all of the essentials, the bed was comfortable and the shower had all the amenities needed.
The adjoining conference space, library, quiet rooms and outdoor patio were wonderful spaces.
Staff was efficient and friendly, quick to respond to requests and helpful. The adjoining restaurant was awesome.

The Arlo Soho was in a great location. Super convenient to walk to different subway lines, lots of shopping and food nearby. Maman was a nearby favourite spot! Also the bike share was an awesome thing to take advantage of.

Fun hotel, with great staff. But room was tired and very small. Blinds didn’t work. Decoration needed an update. Air conditioning didn’t work. The sofas in the communal areas were worn out. I wouldn’t stay again.

Very compact rooms but livable. Lobby areas are basically a coworking space during the day. Great sunset views from the rooftop.
My glassware wasn’t replaced and the large under-bed drawer was hard to open. The rolling bathroom door didn’t close all the way, making for some slightly awkward moments :)
The location is great, between SoHo and Tribeca with easy access to subway lines. I’ll likely stay here again.
