Our stay here was terrible. I cant sugar coat it. Expedia lists the hotel as dog friendly with no pet fees - which is why I booked it. I even CALLED the hotel to verify and was told the same by their staff.
When we arrived, the woman at the front desk informed that there would be a $50 pet fee that she needed a card for. I explained that I had called and then booked their hotel specifically because there was no pet fee and I would like to speak to a manager. The manager then told me they'd changed their policy in August and "didnt know who told me that" and that it could not be waived. He wasnt the least bit apologetic, didn't try at all to make us content as customers and frankly could have cared less. He told me "I should call Expedia and tell them to update their site". What??
We then went up to the room which is cheaply decorated and very sparce. There was ONE bottle of water placed on the shelf (in a double queen roomtwo guests registered). I went down to the front desk to ask for another water and was told they didnt have anymore to give and that I "could buy more" if needed.
To add insult to injury - the room temperature had absolutely no regulation despite repeatedly getting up in the middle of the night to adjust it. It is either way too hot or way too cold and the system is LOUD. The mattresses and bed linens are cheap. We ended up packing up and leaving at 4:30 a.m. because we simply couldnt sleep there.
The experience was awful. Too many other good places to go

Booked a night for my family...2 grade school kids. They were excited to use the pool but it was freezing. This is essentially a hotel for business travel only. I should have done more research....

I had great room and service from the hotel/staff. Dunkin' in the lobby. The Brazilian steakhouse was top notch. Close too south Boston beach and laugh Boston both were great.

We always love staying at the Aloft. It has everything we need (including a fun bar and snack/breakfast area), it’s always super-clean, and the proximity to one of the best areas to spend time in Boston is just unmatched.

This was my second time here, absolutely love this hotel! Shoutout to Natasha for being an absolute gem of a human during my check in. Rooms are clean and spacious, the bar downstairs are super cute and the overall vibe was very inviting. Will be back again!

Parking is $50 a night, they also charged me an “extra person charge” for $20 a night which they ended up removing after I told them I specifically reserved the room with 2 adults and 1 child. They tried to tell me I had 3 adults so I told them I could show them my 5 year old if they’d like to decide. They ended up removing the charge for the extra person but parking is outrageous, pool was closed so you have to walk across the street in the freezing cold. Overall not my favorite aloft experience

This was a great hotel - I loved the layout of the room we were in. It was very clean. The staff at the desk had great ideas for places to see and were knowledgeable about the transit system - they had a map or brochure for everything. Even a runner's map for where I wanted to go. The location was great - lots of restaurants within walking distance and easy walk to the transit system. Definitely one of the best places I have stayed.

The bedding was nice and the bed comfortable. The shower was hot but lacked pressure. There was no place in the shower to put anything whatsoever of your own - no soap dish, no shelf, absolutely nowhere to put even a razor. There was but one towel hook in the room. The towels (just two) were thin and stiff. A nice, quiet mini-fridge was available. The room was clean and astoundingly quiet but offered virtually no furniture. There was a desk and one desk chair - that's it. The (totally) room-darkening shades could be either open or closed. There was no possibility for privacy with diffused light. There were no cheesy pictures on the walls, so there's that. "Spartan" seems to be the best single word to describe the room. The surrounding area is industrial. There are not many good restaurants or bars within a short walking distance, and it's a long walk to a less industrial area. There is an expensive Brazilian Steakhouse in the hotel. We didn't eat there. We instead walked the distance to Broadway and found a fun bar and later on, a tremendous Italian restaurant where we enjoyed one of the best meals we've ever had in Boston. The convention center was just across the street and easy to get to. The $50.00 valet parking was efficient and well managed. The hotel staff members were all helpful and very friendly. We stayed to attend an event at the convention center. We'd do so again knowing what to expect, but the price would have to be right and probably less than we paid.

The Aloft in Seaport is a really nice hotel. The room was very clean, and our harbor view room had more of a view than a parking lot like most other places that you pay for a “view”. A bit disappointed they didn’t have a hotel shuttle, but shuttles in general seem to be a thing of the past at most hotels.

Modern hotel right across from the Lawn on D. Rooms were well done and they provided great shampoo and soap products. We didn’t love the breakfast and the bar area had spilled drinks on the chairs. Also wished there was a self park option instead of valet only, but I understand in the area it might night be an option. Overall would probably stay again.

The A/C was a little wonky. My wife found it hot But we were unable to lower heat. We tried the A/C and we were almost flash frozen. (Not Really) It took some fine tuning but all else was great.

The hotel itself was clean and comfy but my boyfriend and I were called a slur on the elevator by a drunk man who started to follow us to our room. It was an incredibly scary experience and concerning that this man was able to wander the hotel.

I had an issue with my reservation that was to be 4 days but somehow only reserved for one day upon arrival. The front desk staff were rude and not helpful trying to rebook for the remainder of my stay. After flying across the country for work, it was disappointing their level of professionalism and lack of responsiveness to try and assist me. I will not book at their hotels again.

While the hotel is very nice and affordable. I was disappointed on my last visit that the shower had a little mold between the tiles and the body canister inside the shower was empty. It also took a long time to valet park in the past there was self parking, so you need to add $30 to the rate you get

We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding. We enjoyed the hotel and all the staff we interacted with were very helpful, friendly, and professional. Our every question or request was taken care of quickly and efficiently. The location was perfect for walking the waterfront, and dining. We had a wonderful time.

My wife and I booked a king bed on a high floor months in advance. upon arrival we were told only double beds were available and practically had to beg for anything over floor 2. In the end settling for floor 6. Not a huge deal. However the entire building is very humid/dank, dirty, and loud. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every sound neighbors hear make. The room AC units are insanely loud and only cool the room while on. As soon as they shut off, the room quickly becomes uncomfortably hot/damp/and smelly. Not worth the price.

Air conditioning did not work for 1 room for half the trip. They did fix it upon request. The bottom of the shower was slick and I slid. No handle to grab inside the shower. Shower temperature was always hot, even on the cold setting. Same for water from the sink. Hotel bar had dirty glasses in the morning throughout our visit. Booked this hotel because it had a pool for the heatwave and it was closed. They offered the pool across the street as an option, but it was overcrowded.
