Comfy beds, wonderful staff, and beautiful hotel!
We had the King Bed Room with a shared bathroom, the bed and linens were SO COMFY. I can't remember the last time I had such clean/soft bed sheets at a hotel. The shared bathroom was 3 doors down and there were 5 for our part of the floor. There was always at least 1 bathroom save for 9am on a Sunday, but that's to be expected.
The front desk was amazing, casual enough to make me feel comfortable but still polite, accomodating, and really felt like they wanted to take care of you. I can't sing their praises enough!
The common areas were comfortable, well decorated, and clean and I felt very safe both because it's in a nice area and because you had to use your room key to operate the elevator.
There is probably something that I'm forgetting to mention but nothing I could complain about. DON'T LET THE SMALL ROOMS FOOL YOU! There is plenty of storage for your clothes, luggage, and even a desk :)

Hotel was really cool! Only thing to note is the bathrooms are not in the rooms. They were very clean and easy to access. The rooms have shower caddies and everything you need to easily shower. Would definitely stay again.

Everyone was nice (staff, people at the front desk..) they answer any question you have by text, so you do not have to come to the front desk every time you need something. Bathrooms are always clean and they have a nice area to work or eat and also a gym. You can find a 7-Eleven crossing the street and a CVS a few blocks from the hotel, also a few bars/restaurants close to it.

Great stay!
Great stay! The systems for keeping bathrooms clean works well. Didn’t have to wait long to use restroom or shower. Just be careful you don’t stub your toe like I did getting in the raised bed!

The property itself is very hip, fun and unique. The coffee shop in the foyer serves excellent coffee. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They send you a text so that you can communicate at anytime which is helpful. They initially asked us if we wanted a room upgrade for free, we got pretty pumped about that but then they retracted it because they didn’t check if it was available both nights.
The room for 4 with a shared bathroom is very cute and clean but small. You can really only use it to sleep in. The mattresses are comfortable but they are slouched in the middle from what I assume is it maybe being too soft and a from lot of people sleeping on it. My back hurt both nights because it’s not flat.
The cleaning crew are really on it, making sure the shared washrooms are spotless. However, that was happening at 3am and they were quite loud. They were speaking loudly, banging things around and all of the doors in the hallway are heavy and when they close are very loud with the door mechanics. I had asked the cleaning staff if they could be a bit more quiet but they didn’t speak English so I texted the front desk.
On the first night when going to the washroom the door lock malfunctioned and wouldn’t allow the door to close or lock. We had to sleep with the door open for the rest of the night but they did fix it the next morning.
All in all, it’s a great place to stay but make sure you know what to expect when it comes to the hostel like rooms.

Very good given the value.
The location is perfect.
They are very careful about the cleanliness of shared bathrooms.
The beds and rooms are clean as well. The front desk is helpful.
The AC in the room did not heat properly and we did not have wifi in the room.
They have an arrangement with one of the parking facilities nearby. You need to keep in mind that you only get a discount not a free parking.

Loved the room itself, was perfect for our needs. The bathrooms were interesting being a shared bathroom but still private. Just got a bit annoying if having to go in the middle of the night.
Location was great. Close to Boston Public Library, Fenway, and a Metro station( Green Line I think) The parking situation was abysmal, but that wasn't the fault of the hotel. I may have missed it in the ad on expedia but there was no mention of the parking being off location almost a mile away and $30/day until the day before our stay when the hotel messaged me about it.
Great experience for a couple, group of friends, or a lone traveller, maybe not the best choice for a family with children.

I really appreciated the art and history of the Hotel.
The cleaning staff were so diligent in keeping the bathrooms clean, and very helpful in making my stay comfortable.
The front desk staff were extremely friendly, and knowledgeable of the area and transportation by Subway (which is extremely close, just a short walk from the hotel). 🚇
The lobby was warm, and welcoming with a small cafe that was super convenient.
I went during slow season which is probably why the bar downstairs wasn't happening, but I look forward to experiencing a stronger appeal to that area during my next stay.
And I loooooved the water stations on each floor!
Will definitely recommend, and be staying again.

great place!
the person (Liz) who checked us in was FANTASTIC!! we had never been to Boston so asked for dinner recommendation that was walkable from hotel. she provided us with some great options. the room was clean, bathrooms were well maintained and all the staff was great. of note, the coffee shop in the hotel has decent coffee but they aren’t the most friendly folx around. not a reflection on the hotel…just a note.

I loved the area around the hotel, and the Conspire networking area located downstairs opposite the front desk. I appreciate how the bathroom was down the hall and the bathroom areas were always kept clean. I really liked the water stations in the hallways on each floor and how there were many great local food spots that were a walkable distance away. I would definitely stay here again.

We had so much fun at this hotel. The look is very artistic. The beds are comfortable. I loved the coworking space. Super cozy. Oh, and the coffee shop is soooo good. Probably the best plain almond milk latte I’ve ever had.

Unexpected gem in a convenient location
This hotel was surprisingly cute and cozy. I was a bit wary of staying in a place with shared bathrooms, but the facilities were fine and never had a wait. Overall a comfortable stay and adequate for a short solo trip.

Best price for the area at time of booking.
Stayed at the queen loft with private bathroom. You check in at the reception desk and then walk out of the building just across the street the loft is located in another building. They will give you a security code to get in. Clean room and bathroom with a kitchenette, sink, plates and bowls. Bathroom has walk in shower and was roomy. In the main lobby you can purchase coffee and pastry. They have a restaurant next to the hotel. There's an affordable mom and pop breakfast/lunch place across the street. About 5-10 minute walk or 1 block away around the corner there's many more restaurants to choose from. Majority of hotels in the area were around $600 at time of booking and The Revolution was $400.

I’ve never stayed in a hotel that didn’t have a bathroom in the room, so this was different. However, the bathrooms were always clean and there was always staff around in case they weren’t. The only thing I didn’t love is that there wasn’t a fridge or microwave in the room.

i was extremely disappointed by their false advertisement saying bathroom down the hall but actually being a shared bathroom down the hall and this is at a over 500$ a night hotel, its simply unforgivable !!
I found out 1 hour after reserving and they would not want to credit at all the stay

This was my first experience with a shared bathroom in a hotel- and the Revolution made it a great stay. The bathrooms were private, convenient, and had little things like a stool and hooks and a travel bag that made it easy. The bed and pillows were more comfortable than many hotel chains that boast comfort.

Stayed here a couple times, overall it's a good spot. I'd recommend bringing ear plugs because the walls are THIN and if the people next door are having loud conversations all night, you'll hear it like you're in the room with them.

Not as expected
The hotel was not as expected The room was tiny you could not walk on one side of the bed. We were on the mezzanine level so very noisy as you could hear the reception. Also when we opened our window it seemed to be above were the smokers seemed to go to chat and smoke as we had smoke in our room. There in no sound proofing between the room as we could hear the conversations of our neighbours very clearly. The toilet flush was extremely noisy and once again we could hear the ajoining rooms toilet visits. The shower drain was blocked as the bathroom base was full of water and towels on the floor prevented it going into the bedroom. So expensive for what you get.

When you make your reservation, make sure you check to see if the room that you reserved has a bathroom. I naively thought that a hotel that is charging what they charge for a night (and is rated 3-1/2 stars on Expedia) would have a bathroom in every room. When I arrived at the hotel, I was stunned to learn that the room that I had reserved did not have a bathroom in it but, instead, had a shared bathroom in the hallway. Luckily, Expedia was able to cancel my registration for me with no penalty and book me in a nearby hotel that did have a bathroom in my room. I don't think that I know anyone over the age of 25 who would even think of staying in a hotel without a bathroom in each room, so I have no idea why in the world Expedia thinks that such a hotel deserves 3-1/2 stars.

A super clean and fun overnighter
Super clean. We were a bit leery of the "shared bathroom" situation; however, there were several private bathrooms within one big room. They were very friendly and helpful at front desk and answered our every question in detail. Much appreciated. Whomever is running the place is rocking it.

The king loft was perfect! New! Large room, kitchenette, sofa, comfortable bed, large bathroom, lots of cabinet space for clothes, robes/slippers, and quiet.
Staff is great! Area is great! Lots of cafes! We used the Old Town Trolly to get around to the sites. Still walked a ton! Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: The hotel is a nice boutique hotel. The staff is very friendly. Cafe’s and restaurants close by. It is walkable (.75 miles) to Boston Commons. We used the Old Town Trolley for 2 days and worked really well getting around town to sites. The bed is comfortable. The hotel is more affordable (still expensive).
Cons: The rooms in the main hotel are REALLY small. Think a 10’x14’ room. One side of the bed is against the wall. The size is disclosed but really hard to imagine how small until you see it. There is place to open luggage except the bed. The bathroom sink is in the room (maybe 8”x 9”) the toilet is separate. The bathroom has a cement floor with a hole in it and a shower curtain. Think entire bathroom floor gets wet. The split pack heater/air conditioner had a small leak.
Would we stay here again. In one of the lofts rooms, yes. Not this one.

This property thought of every detail needed to make our stay comfortable. It was spotless with super comfortable beds. The communal gathering space in the lower level for eating or playing cards etc. was great. Staff very welcoming. Such a great budget option in Boston.

Fun niche hotel in a convenient Boston location!
I really enjoyed my stay at The Revolution Hotel although it took way too long to check in at the lobby. The room was comfortable and I loved the splashy decor. I chose the group bathroom option to save money. They were very clean and well appointed but there should be additional stalls on each floor. It was frustrating not be able to access a toilet stall at 3:00 a.m. because all of the other stalls on the hallway were full! Otherwise it was a fun stay at a location covenient to restaurants, entertainment and Logan Airport.

A nice stay and what I expected
I had a really good stay at the hotel, which was easy to find. The service on check in was great and the hotel was fully explained to me.
I quickly found my room which was exactly as the pictures, with a large comfortable bed and a tote bag provided to use in the bathrooms which were just across from my bedroom.
The hotel has a Mexican restaurant and bar attached Cosmica and the service from the barman was brilliant, recommended beers for me to try and was so polite and chatty.
Only two issues I had were the Wifi in my room was non-existent and I could only get in the reception. The other issue was there was a constant running water noise above my bed which kept waking me up but this was probably specfic to my room (303)

Unique Experience
The Revolution was a unique hotel that was trendy, comfortable, clean and enjoyable. The desk staff was amazing! They helped us find the correct trains, food, and entertainment. I can't remember the guy's name from Brooklyn who helped us Wednesday morning, but he was exceptional! He marked our route on a map and gave us great options for food. We booked a room using the shared bathrooms because it was cheaper. While I wouldn't want to do that for more than a couple of nights, it wasn't a bad experience at all. The bathrooms were extremely clean and large enough. Our room was a queen and was small, but when you are only going to be there to change and sleep, who cares? It's Boston....hotel rooms can be small. I would recommend this hotel. We enjoyed it!

Staff was so helpful and friendly! Location was about 4 blocks from the orange line T stop which made using public transportation a breeze. You can get everywhere you want to go in Boston on the T. We stayed in a room that used shared bathroom facilities. The shared bathroom was actually 5 private wc’s in one area; each wc has its own shower, toilet, and lavatory. They were kept very clean. Overall a great experience!

Wi-Fi didn’t work in room, bathroom was in dirty condition (loudly shower curtain, grease marks on the back of the door) and usb points didn’t work. Asked at front desk for them to re clean the room - shower curtain was changed but back of door wasn’t touched, we came back that day to find our house keeping had left our room open all day too

The property is a gem and exceeded expectations. Not saying it's a 4 or 5 start hotel, just that they are exactly what they offer at a fair price. Quirky, modern, 6th floor shared bathroom 'suites' were kept sparkling clean. Lots of energy with travelers from all over the world. Friendly staff, Independent coffee shop in the lobby (coffee was average but the warm pumpkin muffin was wonderful) and a Mexican restaurant (Cosmica) attached.Mostly dinner but open earlier Saturday. Check hours. The shared bathrooms were an adjustment, though not as big of a deal as anticipated. Next visit, I will book the king room with private bath as I will be travelling with my wife.

Very stylish hotel. Great coffee shop and restaurant on premise. We had the queen with the bathroom in the room. It was small and basic but well designed. The only thing we wished was that there was more shelf space in the bathroom (and a lid on the toilet). There isn't a fridge in the room but the front desk staff have access to a fridge where guest items can be stored. We were two adults with a large dog and it was tight, next time we would move up to the larger room. We were very happy that it was pet friendly! The area around the hotel was beautiful. Many historic homes, shops, restaurants and places to drink. One thing to note that I didn't see on the website (but may have missed) is that outside alcohol is not allowed on the premises.

It was super cute. Having the bathrooms down the hall wasn't at all bad, especially bc my room was right across from them (lol). The bag with towels and slippers was all we needed; the bath products smelled great in the bathrooms. It felt like an upscale hotel, and I met a number of international travelers, which made it a really cool experience. The coffee bar and restaurant were also great. No complaints!

Solo Business Travel
The hotel was impressive from the moment I walked in. I could see its unique style and ambiance. The ladies at the front desk gave me a friendly greeting and got me into my room fast.
The room was clean and tastefully decorated. I had control over the temperature and I had the added bonus of being able to open the window for fresh air. The room was pretty basic, with not a lot of seating.
It was my first time using a shared bathroom and while it wasn't the worst experience in the world. I hated waking up late at night and in the morning to the bathroom. Not fun. It's a great location and I felt very safe traveling alone as a woman.
