The GN is definitely one of the nicer more ventilated hotel/casinos on Fremont St. Things to know:
You absolutely will not get a FREE early check-in. Gone are the days when if a room was available they would get you set up early.
You will be asked if you want to upgrade your room(a lot of nickel and coming). The reception agent was like: there will be no maid service, no mini fridge, and you will have two double beds sorry we are out of kings(so pay a little extra now to get a king room). Overall the room was just fine. She also mentioned that we booked with a third party. Not sure they like that very much.
If you’re in the Carson tower you will be pestered by the time share people EVERY damn time you go to or leave your room. This was so annoying to the point of harassment.
The weekends get super busy and they check ID at the door along with metal detectors(that was a bit odd). We had to wait in a long line just to get in our hotel.
The Rush Lounge had a live band that was pretty decent and fun!
Several places to eat, Claim Jumper was delicious for breakfast and the Grotto had delicious pizza.
We lost our money at the GN, but won it back across the street at the 4Queens.
One more thing, there was a strike going on regarding the culinary union workers, they were extremely rude and boisterous when anyone was walking into a casino. They would call us losers and tell us, “hope you lose all of your money! Shame on you!”

Great option for the price. Got in after a tiring couple of days at Grand Canyon so all we wanted to do was crash before going out. Instead we got all the way over to our tower & down the mile long hall to find that the keys didn’t work. Then we second guessed the writing & tried another room. Most frustrating is when we lugged everything back down to desk. Staff was short & rude about keys not working & can’t read writing.

I was charged a $40 resort fee even though Hitels.com said it was included. The halls had trash in them. The room was clean, but no amenities and it was SO noisy there was NO way to sleep. The front desk did not offer to move me to a quieter room when I called to complain and did not care

Corner Suite 16216 16th floor.
Counter and end tables in our corner suite were not cleaned between guests. Ketchup, spilled drinks, etc. Carpet in room had trash and hair on it. Toilet was clean but shower/tub was not. Half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and 2 tissues in the dispenser. Looked like the cleaning was really rushed. Not good when there is no daily maid service unless you make a special request. I have stayed at the Golden Nugget several times over the years but not post covid. Seems a bit run down.

It is apparent that hotels across the globe are limiting maid services to the rooms unless requested in advanced. It would be nice if you had an easy method to exchange towels. However i ave seen the same practice globally and if thats the future....then it sucks.

The only terrible experience in any Vegas vacation. Key reader malfunctioned, traveled to the front desk 3 times (very long path) and waited over an hour for even one person respond, another 20 minutes for the right staff (maintenance) who could solve the problem to arrive. Missed a planned show because of the delay. Will not stay again and advise other not to.

We have been coming there with a group of 8-12 guys for about 10 years. This year when we were checking in the desk worker told us there was a $50 early check in fee But if you upgrade your room for $20 a night you will get a refrigerator and be on a higher floor with a better view. We decided to do that. The we later found out our friends that declined all upgrades actually got a higher floor with a view of the mountains and we got to look and a parking lot on a lower floor. They also did not have to pay the early check in fee. I know everyone in Vegas is trying to make a buck, but we should not be lied too and swindled by our hotel that we have been loyal to for many years.

So this review is just for the rush Tower at the golden nugget, upgraded for $50 a night from previous reservatiand very quiet best view. I was on the twenty fourth floor in room 24223. This room came with all the amenities that you would expect refrigerator coffee Maker. Nice big bathroom , Robes , Slippers A rush hour also has its own entrance front desk. When it's open, it's got a nice little restore at the lobby area. Much better than other towers that I've stayed in.

Too noisy to sleep at night and I was on the 24th floor. When I tried to order room service for dinner on a Monday, I waa then told no room service available except Thursday to Sunday!! And the lights breaker in my bathroom and toilet kept blowing, so all the lights went out. I told the front desk but it still didnt get fixed. Overall, not a good stay, especially at $300 a night!!

Be prepare not to fall asleep until 1 AM! The music noise from Circa Hotel is so loud. Make sure to not get a room facing that side.
The TV remote does not function properly.
The rest is fine.
I requested 4 extra pillows and they came fast and I am grateful for that.

There was a curly hair on the commode The tub had black grime in it and I had to clean it before using. The fixtures were all spotted like they hadnt been cleaned after the last shower. The area between the bed and night stand was dirty I wont go back to GN. I paid more for an updated room and was very disappointed. I have never had this problem at GN before. They have upped prices but cleanliness has definately gone downhill.

Our room was dusty and unclean. Both sinks were filled with hair and coffee grounds from the previous stay. There was noticeable dust on the appliances and water will come up from the floor. This is after we paid extra to upgrade the room. Luckily the staff is very helpful, but it's unfortunate that we were charged extra for a dirty room.

I love the nugget. Unfortunately the carson tower is showing its age. My room would stay unlocked unless i did a special trick. Paint coming up in the bathroom. Shower leaked out. And incredibly loud ac unit.

We stayed at the Golden Nugget for Thanksgiving. It was definitely a dated hotel but our stay was good until my daughter started complaining about bites. We found bed bugs in her bed. I had security come up and placed a complaint. He told me to go downstairs and talk to the front desk and they should compensate me. I went quietly, I understand these things happen.
The lady at the counter was rude and told me to call the number.
I called and left a message on 12/6 and 12/8....finally received a call back from Mr. Scott who said he would compensate me for my inconvenience. And that something would be sent to me via email, I sign it and send it back to him.
The email never came. I have proceeded to sent number VM on 12/21, 12/27 and 1/10 with not even a call back. My luggage is still outside in my garage due to the fear of having them in my home. We came straight home and put a everything in hot water and high dry.
And my daughter had to go to the doctor for her bites. She has very sensitive skin and was put on steroids.
I waited a very long time before making a review Trying to have this handled in a better manner. But this is what I have had to resort to. I also have pictures and videos of the bugs in my room, the report I filed and the VM from your "security

Been coming to Vegas for 20 years. Never had a trip been this disappointing. Typically we stay at El Cortez or gold spike where they offer basic amenities. We will not stay at the nugget ever again. Upon check in the person at the desk rushed us through so quick and rudely. We walk all the way across the hotel to get to our room, upon opening the door we see 2 double beds after I had requested one king. So we walked all the way back and we're told that there's no other rooms available and we're made to feel stupid because we didn't call to confirm. After requesting the manager we all of a sudden got a room we requested. The buffet was closed the whole time we were there. Our bathroom was not exactly clean. Shower needed a good scrub before my wife would even step in. No fridge, microwave, or coffee pot in any of the rooms (extra charge I'm told) the staff constantly chases you down trying to sell you shows and time shares. All in all I'll be staying away from gold Nugget. In summary I paid more to have less amenities and be treated like pond scum, but we were right on Fremont ..

One of the more disappointing hotels that we have stayed in while visiting Vegas.
The bathroom sink doesn't drain, no window in the room, constant elevator noise including work done overnight, a proposed extra charge for decaf k-pods, cracked and peeling tub, broken bathroom door frame, etc.
Pretty sad for an "upgraded" Gold tower

Thermostate did not work and fan ran all the time on high-had to move rooms and poor communication. Both rooms the TV remote would not work. Paying a big daily resort fee you would think you could at least change channels on the tv. Never going back there.

Nice hotel on Fremont street. Street performers, artist and shopping just out the door. Staff is friendly and curteous. Everything you need can be found here. Bus stop (RTC) right around the corner. Try Vic and Anthonies for dinner.

It was all great, the only thing I didn’t like was that there don’t clean the rooms while you are staying, we stayed 3 nights. On the second day I requested housekeeping and all they did was deliver new towels, didn’t take old ones or anything. Dissatisfied about that service, other than that it was a great room.

The property is great, the room was a bit sparse for the size of it, it seemed it was missing a large piece of furniture.
The Bathroom, while clean. Is in desperate need of maintenance, the tub is almost plastic, needed a non slip mat in it. Under the tub faucet it was cracked and it has been cracked for some time, you can tell by the discoloration. The grout is many different shades, it needs to be chipped out and re done.
The make up light was burnt out. The outlet under the dressing table only the bottom outlet worked .
All the drawers in the nightstand and dresser would slide out when you walked by.
House keeping was prompts was room service. We did enjoy our stay and will return again in the future

Enjoyed my stay here during a convention. The Fremont Street Experience is really fun and the Golden Nugget was a good budget option for lodging. The bar staff and Troy club were great, and the gaming tables are reasonably priced. I would stay again.

House keeping is poor, missing amenities, has to request service everyday, not sure about cut off time for request, there were days that they never came to the room after request was made. They try to put a QR code to every service in the hotel, but their web pages are not design well. I've been staying at Golden Nugget for over 25 years from before they remodel, now I'm looking for alternatives.

I loved the staff, we had two room there, one one the 3rd floor Carlton and a two story room spa building. Brother room. My room no coffee maker, but it was quite and away from the street so that was great. Food restaurants were ok, but we ate breakfast across the street. My room was not the best, but m brothers rock. They had a coffee maker. But no refrigeraters in any rooms.

The only thing that bothered us was the non-smoking signs posted everywhere but our next-door neighbor smoked weed day and day out we understand it's legal in Vegas however, being a smoker myself, I did not even smoke a cigarette in my hotel room. How can they smoke weed it was really really annoying.
