We have traveled with our kids quite a bit the last couple years and have never been treated so graciously. We felt like we were family there with staff, and the way they brought other families together for events at the pool area really set this place apart from all other places we’ve stayed. Our condo was clean. There are many improvements going on around the property and talking with the manager you can tell he is very passionate about making royal dunes a wonderful place. All communication was prompt and friendly. My mom traveled with us and uses a walker to get around and we requested special accommodations before our arrival. They have beach chairs and boogie boards to borrow and we loved that! It’s about a 5min easy walk to the beach (it’s across the street!). We drove my mom to the beach parking lot though, and if you forget your handicap pass, bring quarters for meter parking! It’s for a good cause. We also rented bikes that were dropped off at the resort and loved riding around the royal plantation area or to Paris Baguette for coffee and pastries. We just loved this place and really plan on coming back. The only thing is didn’t love (and I hate saying this) is out of the 4 beds in our rental the one was not super great, which happened to be ours. Everyone else had great beds, my kids did not want to leave. If we could bring our dogs we’d move in! Thank you Tyler and staff for an amazing week celebrating my mom’s birthday!

Nice, clean and well-furnished condo unit with nice pools and rec center. Staff was very pleasant; activities were plentiful, and the location was very convenient to Islanders Beach. Sad that the tennis club across from the property was being taken down.

We loved our stay at Royal Dunes Resort! It was so convenient to the beach and other activities. The grounds were amazingly quiet and everyone was very friendly…especially Cookie who gave out flavor ice at the pool! Thank you and we would definitely stay here again!

We loved the stay at this resort. Islander's Beach was just a few minutes walk away and was less crowded compared to Coligny.
The resort also had some activities planned throughout the week which made it stand out compared to some other resorts where we've stayed. The staff were super friendly and made your stay even better!
We're definitely planning our next trip here!

Great stay again
Had another great stay here at this resort. The rooms are large and have everything you need. The employees are wonderful and communicate well. The only thing i wish they could have is more pools as the pool area gets full quick

This is a great place to stay! Most people own their condos so not a lot of travelers. There is a pool for “babies” and both pools are heated. The condo was really nice and spacious.

Loved having 3 beds & 3 baths. Close to the beach. So quiet, peaceful & safe.
They have a breakfast Mondays & wine tasting on Wednesdays to meet other people staying there. It was a GREAT value for our family & wonderful people!

The property is dated but clean and the grounds are very well kept. The inside of the condo was suitable for the price point and location (near the beach). However, the bed was very uncomfortable and the temperature settings were off per room. Cold in the main areas while sweltering in the bedrooms and vice versa. Check-in was smooth and staff very welcoming. Checking out not good at all. When I noticed our card was billed twice for the entire stay I called back an hour after checkout. The attendant (male) at the front desk was extremely rude impatient and hung up the phone abruptly. Only to have to call back and apologize for their error. If you're looking for a clean place at a good price, this could be your spot.

This was our first visit to Royal Dunes, but our second time staying on Wimbeldon. We like the area because it is close to the beach and relatively quiet. The property was very nice - I really don't think spatially you could ask for more! 2 large king sized bedrooms and one smaller room with 2 twin beds. Plus three full bathrooms! The kitchen area was spacious and everything was clean. Also one of the bathrooms has a jacuzzi tub!
The pool is a little small but we felt it met our needs and we liked that they provided pool towels! One item to note is that beach chairs (chairs you can take to the beach - not pool chairs) are on a first come first serve basis. I speculate that most guests just take them for the duration of their trip and are not returning them nightly like they are supposed to so they were not available during our trip on any day so we purchased some at the local store.
Overall, this property was wonderful! Clean, plenty of room and a great location. Staff interactions were always nice as well! I could not ask for anything more!

location to relax and enjoy the ambiance of the ocean life style . We appreciate Audrey , Debbie , Marion , and all of the people that work at the property . It is a team effort to make everyone feel at " home " at their home away from home . We try to visit at least once a year.

I enjoyed my stay. There was nothing I needed. The staff was very helpful for anything that was requested. All amenities were provided. Only thing missing was me spending more time at the property. Excellent stay. Would recommend to families it has everything you need👍

This property is not for a family with kids. We got called twice saying that we were walking too loud on the property and it was disturbing the guest underneath us. We felt like we were walking on eggshells our entire stay. We had to tell everyone not to move unless it was necessary to. Also, on our last night, the A/C stop working. Other thing those things, we enjoy Hilton Head as usual. However, we will not stay on this property again.

Very close to the beach. The unit was one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed at. We were really impressed. The place was spotless. The staff was very helpful
when we got locked out. They were there in minutes to let us back in. This property is very dated compared to some others and could use a facelift. Other than the pool, we didn’t find much in the way of amenities. Maybe not the place for people staying with teens or young adults. There is an area with grills but it is quite weathered and not too inviting. It’s a shame bc the property is very clean and well kept otherwise. I do wish there were more pots and pans for cooking and some more items in the kitchen but we’ll know to bring our own next time. Overall, it is a comfortable stay. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are large.

Sad to see the tennis centre closed.

Fantastic place to stay!
This is a gem hidden Lamont’s the condo community. The condo was lovely and cozy. Beds were very comfortable. The hot tub and pool seer very accessible and lovely! I would love to come back again!

Great place to stay!!
We had a very nice, quiet, and relaxing stay here. The condo was very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed to be self sufficient was provided to get us started. The beds were comfortable. Lots of amenities. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely visit here again.

One of out best stays on Hilton Head
Really great condo with lots of amenities. This location is a quick walk to the beach, in a less crowded area of the island. The staff were wonderful, and I saw them go out of there way many times with us and other guests. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Great place!!
This was an awesome place to stay. There’s a free beach shuttle available, parking was convenient, and the pools were great. I would definitely recommend Royal Dunes for family trips. Quiet and comfortable too.

We loved staying at Royal Dunes. Great property and a short walk to the beach. Only about a 25 minutes drive to different tourist spots on the island. The only complaint was the pull out sofa couch was not very comfortable.

Great location! Quick walk to the beach. Pool area was a plus. Condo offered anything you might need and more. Having the two primary suites and the third bedroom made this condo work great for our family. The furniture was well used but clean and still functioning. Laundry in suite made helped us pack lighter and enjoy traveling light. We will definitely go back and have our morning coffee on the patio.

The 3BR / 2BA unit was nice. The size was quite impressive. The quality of the build was average. Given that most of the amenities were shut down due to COVID-19 I cannot comment on such. Those that were open were not facemasks compliant so we did not utilize, for example, the pool. Otherwise, a value proposition for sure!

Nice area, quiet, walking distance to the beach. Beds were comfortable in the condo. Condo was clean , could use some upgrading the front door had paint peeling off, furniture has some stains on it, water pressure was horrible in the showers, but overall nice experience, I would stay there again.

Spacious condo in a nice neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. The communal areas are well maintained. There’s a nice pool and jacuzzi land lots of trees.

Best part was the size of the apartment with the two masters. Only thing i would suggest is to upgrade to bigger TVs and update the bathrooms. Property needs a better pool as it is not big enough to accommodate 3 buildings. Overall i would stay at this property next time as well

Perfect get away!
We enjoyed our stay in this condo. Even though we visited during the covid time, we felt safe here. Condo was very clean and comfortable. Having bedrooms with their own bathroom is a plus! We would definitely stay here again!

Nice, spaceous, comfortable apartment. The location was excellent and we always had a covered parking space. The kitchen utensils were a bit limited, and the dishwasher needs to be replaced. The AC unit is on the balcony, which was otherwise a generous balcony with table.

Our family of 5 (two 6 year olds and a 3 year old) had a wonderful time at Royal Dunes. The units are large and had everything we needed to cook in the unit. The units are not on the beach, but the beach accessible by the complimentary shuttle was beautiful. The pool and hot tub are nice. The staff are friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable!

Royal Dunes is a wonderful resort, especially for families. We were very impressed and enjoyed our 5 night stay. The property is very well maintained and our unit was very clean and had everything we needed. I can't say enough about the front desk staff and the manager, Shelly Beeson. I booked this reservation through Expedia and paid for the unit at the time of booking. At check-in, they had no record of my reservation. The problem was with Expedia and no fault of Royal Dunes. With the help of Shelly, she was able to find us a unit and we were able to check-in and enjoy our 5 night stay. I can't thank Royal Dunes' staff enough for all their help.

Horrendous check-in policy... and not communicated well at all by Expedia. One hour per day check-in opportunity. We were incredibly lucky that we had family check in to their condo prior to us, and that they were able to track down a security person to acquire our key. We did it arrive until 11:00 PM. At 8:40 the following morning, the office called to “settle the bill”, which had already been secured and guaranteed through Expedia. No... “welcome...glad you made it...happy you were able to get into your room...” just... “give me your credit card number!” Absolutely no hospitality the entire stay. The room was spacious and clean enough...but there is nothing welcoming about the place at all!

This place was great, wished we could have stayed longer!! Royal Dunes is in a golf community, which I don't personally do, but being a short walk to the beach was awesome. The condo was perfectly stocked and very clean. Would go back for a relaxing stay again!

The hotel is a timeshare so they do not provide daily cleaning something that was not communicated to us. The first night in our unit the air conditioning didn’t work and it was rather uncomfortable to sleep. We also had water leaking from either the air conditioner or the washing machine. The summary of th resort says there is an exercise room but the facility doesn’t have one.
Parking is an issue especially if you have a large SUV with a roof top carrier.

Spacious Apartment close to golf course.
We were just a couple in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo but the price was still very reasonable. These would work really well for 2 couples as they have 2 master bedrooms with king beds and twin sink ensuite at either end of the house. 2 carpark come with each unit. Bed was very comfy and good showers. All spacious bathrooms. It would have been good if the property told us that we could get discounted golf tee rates at the 2 local courses but the pro shop gave us the rate without some special card that we should have had.
