! UNDER (A LOT OF) CONSTRUCTION
Under construction. I understand you've got to maintain and update your hotel--but it would have been nice to have a discount or a warning that we'd be staying in a mess. The makeshift lobby was TINY. Breakfast was very bad and cold. There wasn't enough seating and there weren't even very many people trying to eat. Gym was under construction which sucked because that's important for our family. So was the hot tub. The room was nice and clean but when you leave the room, it looks like a bit of a war zone. Not very relaxing atmosphere. No where to lounge.

This hotel should not be operating during the construction they are undergoing. Their rates are extremely high for the quality of the hotel.

Hotel is being updated unbeknownst to us. Room was dusty. Hallways and elevators were filthy. Sink did not drain. Breakfast setting was horrible. Eggs were cold. Will let corporate know.

The property is undergoing significant renovation and it was substandard. The check in was through a side door marked in Sharpie, from a temporary desk in a room that also doubled as the breakfast area, and that was hard to find. That initial impression was far from the worst, however. The room was tired, with plumbing and electrical issues. I stayed three nights and never once had the room visited by housekeeping, despite asking them repeatedly and the staff confessing that the room missed being assigned. I would not stay here again, based on this experience, and that is disappointing for a Hyatt brand.

Property is under construction and was not aware that the restaurant was not open. The front desk and breakfast area was put into one of the conference rooms with limited amenities. This was not reflected on the nightly price. Was given a room that was partly remodeled and the tv did not have a signal. It should have been a flag when we got into our room and there were ear plugs on the nightstand. The construction dumpster was dumped right outside our window in the middle of the night. We were going to stay there in our return flight out but decided on another property.

They are still in process of huge renovation so dusty and disorderly. They should have given guests a big discount.. The rooms were clean. Breakfast soso. I also have a beef to pick with hotels that set their thermostats at 66 degrees even during unoccupied hours.

Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Front desk staff efficient and pleasant. The breakfast was good. The facility was under renovation which makes it difficult to grade it on condition - I'm sure it will be nice and more modern when they are finished. It was clean in the common areas despite the construction and there was no noise at night.

They were very much in the middle of construction despite the message we received at booking informing us the construction would be over by mid January. Staff was friendly but the room smelled of mildew, felt like it was still under renovation as well and the shower was not clean. This was definitely not up to the Hyatt standard but the staff was definitely doing the best they could in a bad situation.

Because of the renovations the hotel shouldn't be open, it's a big renovation. No gym, dirty everywhere, it was disappointing

Wait to Reopen
Probably should wait to reopen after all construction is complete, before having people stay. Cable TV out in most rooms. Gym is down even though there are signs saying "fitness room this way" Only one elevator is working. However staff was very friendly and helpful.

As most reviews state, the property is under construction. The front desk is a makeshift table in the cafe. The hallway and elevator were pretty rough and dirty.. That said, the staff were very helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and our bed was incredibly comfortable.

Just a one night stay but the hotel met all our needs. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel is still under renovation as it’s a little dated. We experienced no inconvenience or noise.

We arrived after a late flight and lobby doors were locked. We eventually got in. Nobody was running the front desk. The lobby was a ghost town. Nobody was around at all. We stuck around for an hour, calling out for employees, checking behind doors in the laundry area, storage areas and called the hotel numerous times. We never ended up seeing anybody at all and had to leave and find another hotel in the middle of the night.

Hotel was under construction which we knew but was a complete mess everywhere on the inside and out. Hotel staff was not professional at all. The room was filthy, stains in the bathtub, hallways smelled musty. Would never stay there again.

Hey there! I wanted to share my recent experience at the hotel we stayed at. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but there were a couple of staff interactions that left us feeling a bit disappointed. The young lady who checked us in was absolutely lovely - she went out of her way to make us feel welcome, and we were so grateful for her warm hospitality. However, when we returned to the hotel later in the evening, we encountered a different staff member who appeared to be having a tough time. While we totally understand that everyone has their off days, we found her behavior to be a bit pushy and unprofessional. Although we requested an extra pillow for my daughter, who was sleeping on the couch bed, unfortunately, we were unable to get one. Despite this, we still enjoyed our stay, and we're grateful for the kind service we received from most of the staff.

This hotel is really old and smelly. The pictures showed on the sit are edited. The rooms are outdated and falling apart. Dirty couches and carpet. I mean it’s old and dirty ok but don’t put on pictures that is a nice looking hotel because it’s not and not cheap either. Also elevators are disgustingly dirty.

Convenient, clean, comfortable. 5-minutes from PHX airport. Perfect for an extended layover. Cafe, lounge, bar in lobby. Free airport shuttle.
The Hyatt like ALL of the best hotels around the PHX airport must lose the wall-to-wall carpeting. I mention this in every review.

Stayed for the weekend for Boots In The Park. Hotel shuttle gave us a ride as close as possible to entry. I thought that was nice. Very impressed by the size of the room, however the bathroom is very tiny. Each room has a cute little balcony. Hotel does need a lot of updating as the halls are very dingy with yellow lights. Overall, not a bad place. Would definitely stay again.

This stay at Hyatt Place Tempe Phoenix Airport was the a nightmare. Some of the staff was helpful and nice but others said they couldn’t do anything about the vandalism that was going on. There were 2 trucks whose complete tires and rims were stolen while we were there in less than 36 hours. And the staff said they could do nothing about it, because the owners of the vehicles were supposed to inform police. Do not stay there if you don’t want your rims and and tires stolen. I wish I could upload pictures but I can’t I will try to upload on google reviews.

The staff was kind and the breakfast was an impressive display, however, I could see through the coffee. I have stayed at many Hyatt Hotels and I have never seen one in this condition before. Stained carpet, stained/scratched walls and trim, an AC sounded like a lawnmower and never got below 72, a malfunctioning toilet...similar to a rundown motel. Hyatt needs to do a complete remodel at this site.

Nice Stay
One night stay flying out the next day. Planes flew over head and was worried of the noise....no need it was well insulated and could not here the planes at all. So surprised on how big the room was!!! Loved it. We would stay there again for sure the next time we fly out.

I will not come back.
I requested another room because the first was not clean and it had a smell. The room had some red stains in the carpet, it was a dark room. The sink had some stains, you can tell that they had used it before but it was not cleaned. And the counters had dust.

The staff was kind but the room was filthy and had this pungent smell of vinegar when we walked in that did not dissipate. Luckily we got in around 1am after an eighteen hour drive and were so exhausted that we ignored it and went to bed, checked out promptly the following morning.

Everyone was very nice, the price was great, the parking is safe the driver was very nice and the bed was comfy and I slept well.
The room however smelled stale and musty and wasn't the cleanest, I saw, there was cereal and thick dust under the bed. I guess they can't get under there to clean.

I like that it was close to the freeway but quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Property is close to the Tempe Town lake for some recreation. Breakfast was good, they had all the breakfast choices that we eat :) The only thing they didn't have was a laundry area but I was able to get directions to a laundromat and got a discount card to use there. Overall, this is a good place to stay. Staff is helpful when I need something. We always try to stay here when we come to Tempe.

No buelvo a reseevar este hotel , como dije anteriormente , es un edificio sucio , nada que ber como esta en las fotos no tube mi cuarto king no habia canales buenos en la tv , y si setenia que ver una pelicula buena era rentarla por 20 dollares !!! 😠 , el aire acondicionado controlado y sufriendo de calor por que el aire lo controlaba el hotel demas !! No me gusto el servicio apestada el cuarto !!
