I booked this place because my traveling partner arrived later then me and I needed a place to hold my bag and drink…drinks were delicious by the way…the roll was pretty warm and hand a bad smell. The other girls were nice but ofcourse even if I was planning to stay I would’ve been super unhappy because only top bunks were available! That doesn’t work for me. Other then that it was a great place to hold my bags and no one bothered my belongings.

Excelente estadía, personal amable, lugar limpio y seguro, estratégicamente ubicado.
el único inconveniente que tuve fue que me cobraron recargos ya que la reservación me la habían hecho en habitación de mujeres y para pasarme a una mixta tuve que pagar $ 72.00 adicionales por los nueve días que había reservado, aun y cuando el error no fue mío.

Beds n' Drinks Hostel was not high on my list, but that was quite to be changed after a 9 day stay. It was simply marvelous. The cleanliness of the place, the breakfast and the staff, who listened and solved issues ... even to change funds to catch the Airport Bus. All the best Beds n' Drinks Hostel.

Not for the weak at heart
On a positive note, there were no roaches or bedbugs, the location was great, half the staff were super friendly, there was a great vegan restaurant right next door, and I felt safe; sadly, it was not what it advertised in other areas. Suffice to say that it should be called 'just beds' because there are no bars on site, and the breakfast was a paper bag with a granola bar, yogurt and instant oatmeal pack. Regardless, I enjoyed my stay :)

our check in took over an hour in line. the reception was completely disorganized, but I understand that is because they were under construction. the attendants very lost and confused, even with reservations made through this site. they charge 20 dollars as a deposit, guarantee the return at the end, but I've been back more than 10 days and the amount still hasn't been refunded.

La estadía no estuvo tan mala, un lugar impío, aunque si deberían tener un poco más de implementos al momento de entregar las llaves solo nos dieron una para 5 y es difícil mantener en grupo, y si hay tanta gente en los check in - out al menos tener más personal para que el que esté no esté de grosero con los clientes porque no tiene mucho tiempo. El señor en la recepción muy impaciente cuando su labor es atención al cliente. Gracias

The Good and the Bad
I was in Miami for a solo 5 day trip. I was ready for the bar, false advertisement the bar is not open, the bar is completely empty looks abandoned. But the hotel next door does have a bar.
I stayed in 6 all female room. The cleaning staff are excellent and friendly!
The front desk staff failed to offer me a blanket at check in and I found out blankets were available but I had purchased one by then. They only provide 1 towel. No wash cloth. Please make sure you bring your own towels or you can purchase some from Ross (two minute walk) like I did. The room was clean, no bugs, hot water, no one stole anything. There are lockers available bring your own lock or rent one for $5 daily.
The beds were comfortable.
Fees: $27 + $20 deposit due at check in.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in my life
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in my life. I have visited approximately 36 countries, this is definitely the worst hostel I've stayed in. I do not recommend it to anyone, especially if you are coming alone, never choose.They claimed that I did not pay the fee even though I bought it through hotels.com and demanded money from me again. When I said I wouldn't give it, they told me to check-out or they would call the police. I have never seen such a rude and problematic receptionist. I had to call 911 for the first time in my life because I doubted my safety. Anyone with a mind should stay away from this hostel.

I didn’t like anything about this place , everybody was coughing , sick , smoking drugs , rolling weed , drinking on the facility , prostitution on the facility , guests bringing in strangers on the facility , very rare to get a cleaning lady to mop or sweep everybody was sick and they packed every room while the delta varian had gone up

They over charged me when i checked in, and they never came to clean the room or change any of the sheets. We booked a private room, and was charged for a private room but then told us that we where actually a public room and never gave us new towels until we paid for them. Overall very disappointed with the experience

I checked out early
This place looks good on the internet. When I first checked in, the staff was nice. When I got to my room around 3:15pm, the cleaning lady was in there cleaning. I couldn’t tell which beds were clean. The floors were dirty and the shower was disgusting. The temp in the room was 77 which made the room stuffy and gross. On my second day there, I had to switch rooms because the shower was leaking into the lobby somehow. That was annoying. We went from a 6 person room to an 8 person room. This room was better than the first one, but still not great. The staff randomly come in and out of the room and the cleaning lady comes in and out a lot too. There is construction in the lobby that was loud AF too and there is no elevator in the building, so if you’re upstairs you gotta drag your stuff up there.
I did like the location of this hostel. Close to the beach and shopping. And they do give breakfast in the morning which is yogurt and a granola bar. The staff is nice, but overall this place needs some serious work.

Just ok not the best!
I did not really care for this please the service was very poor and non-friendly. At first glance it looks nice. They have good bathroom facilities. The bed accommodations are not so great as you walk around in the kitchen was not very clean. Overall it’s just OK for a hostile.

Decent! The people at the front desk were helpful!
I have never been to a hostel before and chose the open minded male/female room. I was the only female in the room but everyone kept to themselves. The bathroom needed cleaning though. There were no "drinks" to be had even though bars were open around the block. Someone played music until late and i didnt want to be rude and drown it out with my rain sounds. But i fell asleep eventually. Breakfast was a fat free yogurt and granola bar... coffee was ok though.

The main issue with this hotel is the rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, incompetent manager. The owners of this hotel are a disgrace to hire someone like has a manager. She yells at customers. She yells this is my hotel when it is not. She is just a manager. When i asked for the owners contact information. She told me she would not give it to me. If i have a problem i can only speak to her. I told her she was the problem and she told me if she felt it was a concern she would send them an email. I am sure she was not going to tell them I complained about her.

Nice place! Walk to beach, convention center, food, & shopping! Bus from MIA stops nearby too! Note: they don't take cash for the city tourist taxes. If you just want a place to sleep & shower without lots of expense, check this one out!

Worse experience at hostel I ever had!Front desk guys assisted every person like 25-30 minutes!And they very unprofessional they gave you key but you still waiting for the blanket bs they just don’t think what what they do!Their system works very slow as well!Room very dirty an in shower was cockroachs!There is stay many mature people who snoring at night and you can’t sleep at all!

I want to be as fair as I can with this review. I do not usually stay in hostels, this was my second time staying in a hostel. I did not like it because people were always going in and out of the room throughout the night and I did not get any sleep.

In town for a scifi Convention
For the price paid this was an excellent place to stay. I was in town for a science fiction convention called Supercon.
This hostel was just a few blocks away from the convention center where the event was held. This hostel is also just a few blocks away from the beach, a few restaurants and shopping areas.
I am a 42 yr old woman that travels solo frequently.
The place was relatively clean, the beds comfortable enough and there is a cute little kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. There's also a device that dispenses hot and cold water. This was perfect for my tea in the morning.
There's a party like atmosphere with lots of loud music downstairs but this did not disturb things upstairs in the room. I stayed in the 8 bed dorm room. 8 women sharing bathroom facilities was challenging but everyone was considerate.
The free Wi-Fi worked very well. I was able to use my work laptop and watch a movie on Netflix.
Nobody was rude to me and nobody bothered me.
would stay here again next time I come to this convention.

The manager is low class fraud falsified documents, very unprofessional, she isn’t reasonable and goes by hearsay no proof, Nats everywhere, illegally tries to video tape people, invading privacy ( specially me im copy written), they discriminate, the manager speaks ill about guests, they need new management, unorganized , and liars ,filthy bathrooms, filthy patio, old building full of leaks, irresponsible staff, beds are a joke, disgusting, HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND, people steal, the staff steals, there are cops there once a week. Very highly unprofessional. It’s a circus .it has mold, they barely clean properly, I recommend any other hostel. The staff is uneducated. Place is going to go through a class action law suit.

Great location!! is 2 blocks away from the beach (with you ID they rent you chair, towel and umbrella), half block distance from Ross store, CVS pharmacy, 7eleven convenient store which has 1.99 hot dogs and of course is within walking distance from Washington av, Collins av, Lincoln Rd and multiple bus stops that make life simple to move around south beach. Also, you can easily get to ocean drive for a crazy night.
breakfast is included: fruit, yogurt, toast or bagel, peanut butter and jelly plus oatmeal, coffee or tea. So it a great start for your day. They also have a bar in the lobby so if you do not wish to go anywhere, you can perfectly stay there meeting international roomates.

I really enjoyed my stay here.
I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff are lovely, the location is great and the hostel conditions are really good. The only issue was with the AC. The room was absolutely freezing when the AC was on, when it was turned off the room got really stuffy and we couldn’t open the windows and we weren’t able to control the AC ourselves and had to get a member of staff to keep turning it on and off for us. Overall the stay was excellent and I would definitely stay here again.

Horrible service
Made reservation online, when came they refused to accept since sold out all beds. One thing is to take reservation, another thing is to KEEP (like in Seinfeld ;). No other judgement but failed them in all by association.

Hotel close to the beach
The location perfect, the price perfect you get what you pay for so that being said i'm not expecting the staff to be super helpful for the price I paid but i don't expect to be insulted by a member of staff. If you have a short temper (which i don't) don't stay.
Apparently I was taking breakfast "too early" at 7:30 the nice young lady gave me my breakfast ticket at reception. I then proceeded to the bar to pick up my breakfast items. The same man then said
him: "breakfast is starts at 8, do you even have a ticket?, you can't just start jacking s!*t"
me: "Im not jacking anything i have a ticket"
him: "It dosn't matter breakfast starts at f@£*%$g 8"
me: "in my shock i said OK and put everything back and waited until 8" (in complete shock)
I then approached him when I realized that the breakfast time on the website and the times he quoted were incorrect. He responds with:
"i don't f£@%^%g care, take your skirt off and get over it"
"its on that piece of paper thing"
"i dont f££%@^g care dude"
I honestly felt like this member of staff wanted to fight me as nobody even on the street has spoken to me with that level of anger. Just seems like the place is being used as a money was i don't understand how you expect to survive if you talk to staff in that manner.

Best experience in a affordable price
It was my first time in a hostel and I couldn’t have chosen other better. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the location is great and the 6 female shared room is very nice. Everyday there’s a activity scheduled and the front patio is a great place to meet people from around the world. I’ve recommend it to my friends and if I could come back to Miami Beach, I’ll be stay at Beds n’ Drinks again.

Don't leave anything you really want to eat in the refrigerator. Someone will steal it and eat it! =( Also, it's hard getting hot water for showers.
Breakfast in the mornings is great! Wonderful value. The staff is very friendly and you'll be walking distance to a lot of places!

Needs a good scrubbing!
Location was super convenient for the beach, Art Deco district, clubbing, shopping and dining. The staff are mostly very friendly and accommodating although I had a situation which I felt could've easily been solved by changing rooms had the staff member on duty taken my request more seriously. This hostel borders on filthy in spite of the daily maid service and baby roaches in the kitchen. For this reason, I would not return.

It's a hostel. Remember that. Sleep? Why have beds when guests are banging around until 5:30 am? Lucky for us, it was a short walk to the beach to watch the sunrise after a sleepless night. By the way, windows in your shower that look out onto the party on the front patio is a bad idea. Great place for a party. Bad place for rest OR privacy...of any kind.

Great stay
My experience was great. I never stayed in a hostel before but the staff was so nice and helpful. There is a CVS store like 20ft away and liquor store right around the corner. The beach is right down the street and Miami have citibikes that you can rent. The hostel also have a party bus that take you to the club and there is an open bar for an hr before the party bus arrives. THE BEST TRIP EVER!!!!

5 star hostel!
It's an amazing place to stay in great location. Just 3 minute walk to the beach and centrally located close to major r stair ants and shops. The facility is well maintained wit great staff! Thanks Alexa for great hospitality. The tmosphere is great u can literally just hit the beach and chill during both happy hours meeting interesting people. Def. would sta here again in my next visit. Btw for that personal complaining about breakfast, stay at a 5 star hotel, all u get there is coffee. Be more greatful for themservingu. Something for $27 a day!

This hostel is in a very good location and has a lovely outdoor patio. Unfortunately, the reception staff was not competent and took a long time to check us in, as well as other issues occurred The room and bathroom was also not cleaned for 4 days. The shower floor was moldy and dirty. There was a strong chemical odor in the hallways. It's inexpensive but would need to be managed better.

We had to stay here under emergency conditions. We were suppose to be on a cruise, but needed somewhere to lay our head inexpensively since an unforeseen cost in Florida. Blanket dated n moldy smelling an upgrade would be beneficial. Try not to do room 111 the bar is really loud all night long. Requested a refund due to FLL shooting, but told hostel should not have to pay for our misery. Husband could not lay down long.

I had no bulb light in the bathroom even when many of us informed the reception. The hot water was never available and I informed the reception and the housekeeping lady but still. The bar staff was terrible. Also I took thepaty bus and the drinks were not enoughbig line finaly after reaching the front the rusian or ukranian lady said free drinks were not available anymore it was 10 pm, I found it so rude for only ba drink. Their reciving packages policy is bad they shouldn"t have any extra charge none of the other hostels where i stayed charged me anything. Alexandra is rude god bless her job. The spanish receptionist gave me 1 package without aplying any charge so they are not even informed of Alexandra's policy. Dirty public areas. when it rains no one dryes the chairs outside we have to seat down on wet chairs. Nothing was good. horible smell all over. forks and knifes missing all time. Not enought milk and sugar for breakfast. smoking policy is not respected and the TV room did never open at 10 am I have to ask the receptionist to PLEASe open the venue. TV remote missing in that TV room.

It has a nice patio with sun until 2pm where you can enjoy breakfast. And you kind of have to scince you cant eat in the room or the common area inside.
They are trying to get as much money as possible from you though. There is a 10 dollar fee just to store your luggage for a couple of hours before you check in. And you cant drink own beer there. You HAVE to buy in the bar which charges 5 dollars for a small beer and 11 for shots.

Great location, friendly staff, and clean hostel
When we arrived it we had a little issue because my male friend and I wanted to be in the same room but we booked separately and the system had already assigned us rooms. However, the staff there was very helpful and fixed our issue by the time we went back to check in. I would highly recommend this hostel because of its cleanliness, customer service, and is in a great location; the beach is only a block away and they have some night activities for the customers (for an additional charge). Overall, very pleased with my stay there.
