I would not recommend this for place. I booked a 1 night stay and did not stay. The bedding and towels were so cheap. The towels and sheets were very stained not cleaned well at all

Best Bang for Buck!!
Upon entering the main lobby, the desk agent was more than happy to help us with an early check in. When we entered the rooms, we were immediately hit with a fresh scent. As if the room had been recently and thoroughly cleaned. This location is perfect for a couple or solo person traveling without children. Located about 7 minutes from downtown Jacksonville. Great location!!

I did not stay at this hotel! The room did not look like the picture that was advertised on y'all website. In fact all rooms were under construction which was not revealed to me before arrival! Manager was very mean nasty unprofessional and refused to refund me my money!

Great place to rest for the night.
We stayed here the night before leaving from the Port of Jacksonville on a cruise. It was clean and comfortable. The one request for an extra towel was granted immediately. The A/C unit was a little sluggish. Otherwise, it was great.

I only stayed here since I wasn’t traveling with my kids and it was for one night. I wanted something cheap so I already knew what to expect from Emerson Inn. It wasn’t clean. The bathroom was not clean with stains on the bathtub, and the floors were sticky. I’ll pay an extra $20 next time & stay somewhere else. The staff was nice though. And it was very quiet.

Your money worth and Royalty.
Well lighted, very clean, very comfortable and convenient to destination and purpose of stay. Incentives like laundry on site, not to mention an iron and board! The price is just awesome with commodities. The price, the property, the owners are just immaculate. I am very very picky and check for ac filters cleaned. Hilton, Hyatt and Yankee Clipper area hotel were much higher in price by name advertised and were all dirty, unsanitary and ac filters and room conditions were horrible. This is Emerson Inn off Philips hwy and a very rough area of in spite of this I experienced nothing but ROYALTY.

The staff were all super nice and it was easy to check in. They held a $50 damage deposit on my credit card but released it when I checked out. They want to make sure people do not smoke in the rooms because the smell lingers and to remove it requires special treatment. My room was very clean and quiet. It was a perfect location for attending a concert in Jacksonville. The surrounding neighborhood wasn't the best but I did feel safe. The parking lot is huge and directly next to the road, and it was well lit. The interior of my room was as modern as can be expected and had nice tile upgrades. There were dispensers for soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. There was a microwave and refrigerator in my room which I did not use but it's a nice option to have. There were chairs and a table in my room with still plenty of space. The continental breakfast was a chicken melt type thing and it would have been nice to have a vegetarian option. There were packaged sweets (very tasty!) as well as coffee, hot water (for tea), and fruit juices.

The hotel was ok. The room was a bit outdated as far as furniture. The bathroom door and front door was filthy as were some of the walls. The paint was chipping off the bathroom ceiling in the shower. The staff was nice and hospitable. For the 2 night stay it was alright for the price paid for the room and stay

The customer service was horrible. When asked for a print out after check out they stated that I can only get it from hotels.com. I just wanted proof of check out and itemized list that they can only know and still refused to give me one and yelled at me. The carpet was sticky and dirty. The place seemed run down. The AC wasn’t working well and wouldn’t allow me to change rooms.

Nice Surprise!
I wanted a hotel close to the Jaguars football stadium. I found the Emerson on Hotels.com and the rates were reasonable with good reviews. We stayed overnight and found the owners to be friendly and accommodating with a great sense of pride in their property along with a great desire to make their customers happy. The room was clean, the shower had great pressure and hot water and the property was quiet. We wanted to uber to and from the game and asked the front desk manager if we could leave our car on property while at the game, even tho we only had the room for the previous night, and they allowed us to do just that. It was a nice bonus to a surprisingly nice stay.
We would definitely stay there again.

Another return visit
I've reviewed Emerson Inn a few times in the last several years. My latest 2-night visit went just as well as the previous visits. Clean, comfortable room with a good bed and TV. The rooms have all been renovated the last few years, so everything is still in great shape. AC worked great this trip. Still a great price for a decent motel.
This trip I noticed a lot of work being done outside. New landscaping, short rock walls around plants and trees, a new fountain in the front of the property, etc. I give the owners credit for really investing to upgrade the property.
As always, every employee I spoke to during my stay was always polite and friendly.

It is clear they are renovating to make this a nicer place. The room we were in was updated but it defeats the intent if you have a horrible stain (looked like a vomit stain) between the beds and a tub with scum marks like it hadn't been cleaned. The walls were in need of cleaning and the door had a gap at the bottom and we could see light through it even when closed. We put a chair in front of the door to provide extra "security". It served the purpose but I wouldn't stay here for leisure. We stayed based on close proximity of the hospital.

The “lobby” is smaller than the size of the room and the “breakfast” is in there, which is frozen chicken melts in a mini fridge with the option of coffee, orange juice, or apple juice. Overall for the price it’s good.

Emerson Inn is always a comfortable and pleasing stay for my family and I. They provide a lite "continental" breakfast, which is good coffee, apple & orange juice, and array of pastries. The rooms are always clean; however I did have an issue whereas I needed to change my linen. The accommodation was made and I was happy. They also have on demand selections which makes watching TV more enjoyable.

Property is very clean. Rooms are usually clean. I stayed in 111 and there was shoe prints on the floor in front of sink but other than that very clean. Had a deep tub which would of been great if I would of had time to use it. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were great. Staff is always friendly and helpful. This was my 3rd stay and will stay again. There was a big puddle of water by my car door i'm thinking from the down drain from roof. Other than that parking lot is clean. I am a single women traveling alone and feel safe at this hotel thus far. Walmart and fast food is close by.

I love the place. The staff were really nice but there was a miscommunication about staying. Other then that keep up doing what you all doing so you make more business. Keep on the look out for people that r nuisance that doesn’t help with your business throw them out immediately. I prayed over your hotel. This was an excellent stay at a 2 star hotel. It was clean, bug free, AC was cold, water was hot, staff were very friendly and accommodating. After making an overnight stop on our way down to visiting my brother we decided to stay again for one night as we travelled back home. We felt safe on the property.

I stayed in 104 it was clean. The bathroom door could use a coat of paint but it was clean and toilet flushed. Mirror by sink was suppose to be the light but it was not very bright I basically had to blow dry hair and brush teeth in the dark. The room it self was very clean. The bed was a bit hard for me but I slept ok. There was some lady yelling in the middle of the night but it was taken care of quickly. The property was clean. I wouldn't leave anything in your car. Overall I felt safe. I was a female traveling alone. I would stay here again. Staff was friendly.

The room wasn’t good at all there was tissue in the ceiling in the bathroom because the ceiling had holes the paint the sheets didn’t look too clean and there was stains on the towels also there was no latch on the door and they had a lot of stop human trafficking signs I feel there should of been a latch to to make you feel more safe. never coming back here
