Rooms were very nice. Bar area so so. We arrived from a cruise early but weren’t able to check in until 5 pm. Had to put luggage in holding downstairs. Then finally get checked in and go down and get our own luggage and take it up. Workout etc is the hotel across the road

When i asked about my room being ready since i was already waiting 90 minutes, the middle aged African American woman at the desk told me she didn't know about my room since she didnt work housekeeping. The Hispanic desk giy finally got me a room at 5:50 pm! Well after our scheduled 4pm check in time. I asked for a breakfast voucher or a drink ticket and all he offered was 2 bottles of water which are free anyway. Terrible service.

The room was spacious and well maintained. However, there were no dresser drawers and I had to essentially live out of my suitcase. Also my companion and I arrived after midnight because of a flight delay and we could not raise anyone to let us into the building for a half hour. We thought we were going to have to sleep in the car. Other than that, the staff were generally helpful.

I stayed at a lot of hotels in South beach, and this has been one of the best experiences. The staff is extremely helpful and super friendly, the hotel is clean and at a great location. The rooms are nice, not fancy but really decent. The room seemed to have been renovated not too long ago, and I love having a stone floor, which can actually be cleaned correctly, as opposed to carpets. The bedding is great, and good quality, and my only remark would be the outdated furniture: the desk and minibar cabinet, which have seen better days. If these are the same in other rooms, I suggest management to spend a little bit of money to replace these, and make the rooms really great.

This is the third time we have stayed at Hyatt Centric South Beach. My family always has a great time. Great location and property. The only negative thing I could say is closet space is very limited.

My stay from 9/21-9/25 was a horrific experience from start to finish. Upon arrival we were barely greeted by staff who proved to be equally as rude during our entire stay. There were 2 other guests in line when I arrived who I witnessed being treated with the upmost respect in compassion to myself and the family I bought along on this mini vacation. I visit Miami specifically South beach twice a year and have never been so disappointed in service. I watched as both a caucasian woman and a couple of foreign decent were checked in like royalty. Offered champagne, mimosa water and given detailed information with regard to the pool, restaurant and property in general. It was my turn to check in and as you can imagine, I was excited to get my vacation started. Im a woman of a certain age so for me that means enjoying the pool, beach and great dining. However, Franz walked away when it was time to check me in and sent a young woman over who was less than interested in having any conversation with me aside from “you pre paid BUT you will need to pay an additional $645 for $160/night incidental fee” and while i obliged because I had no other choice I have never never been charged a per night incidental fee! I thought this was absurd considering the caliber of hotel this is supposed to be. Hyatt is a huge corporation and the expectation is that the service would be fair for all guests.

This was one of the worst stays for the price paid. First off, the tv didn’t work completely, the fridge didn’t either, the valet was nice but they didn’t have someone out there when you pull up. Also, I didn’t know we had to call for the car to be pulled up. Finally, they allow you to use the loews beach setup but it’s evident they cater to them vs the other guests who are not loews.

Clean property and great stay
The stay was excellent and staff was super friendly/responsive. Our only misfortune was the hotel pool was undergoing repair when we were there. With that said, our hotel worked out a deal w/ an adjacent property to use their pool and gym so it was fine (the beach made us completely forget about the pool if I'm being honest!). Would definitely recommend.

Misinformation. There is no laundry service. Itsnot on beach.but pics shows its on beaxh. Parking is not available. No beach towels, no beach chairs..difficult to find reception lobby during night time...its full of lies.

This hotel puts you right in the middle of South Beach but will the feel of a very nice hotel and you don't have to worry about how some hotel look nice on the outside but are horrible inside, it's a safe and clean and updated Hyatt and that is why we stay here

Our stay was truly delightful. The staff's warm welcome was accompanied by the early availability of our rooms. The pool was an absolute highlight, boasting an ideal temperature and providing a pleasant spot for relaxation. Making use of the complimentary bikes, my family had a wonderful time exploring the entire length of the beach.
The only aspect that stands out as less positive was the somewhat high deposit, and it did take some time for it to be removed from our credit card.

If you want to use the gym, you have to go to the lobby everyday and get a get a card, walk across the street to the Loews and go to their hotel. They advertise a gym but technically it’s not theirs. The pool was nice but very small for hotels in that area, but if you don’t like big party pools that one is ok. Our bathroom door was on a roller that wasn’t working properly and it would roll open unless we messed around with it for awhile or placed a towel to keep it from opening. We made the best of our experience but I would not personally go back there.

We stayed on the top floor and had both a city and ocean view. It was beautiful and quiet with amazing views! The location was also so close to the beach, Lincoln Road shopping and tons of restaurants. We took the complimentary bikes on the beach walk one morning, which was absolutely wonderful! I would definitely stay there again.

Front desk staff was very rude. Jack Morris was front desk lead and behaved very rudely. I reached at 4 pm and had to wait more than 2 hours to get room. They checked me in after 7 pm. My room key did not work initially and luggage was misplaced. Very bad experience.

The room was ok. Furniture was older. When we arrived and I checked the bed, there was hair all over the sheets from top to bottom. Staff did come and change the sheets when asked. The room was smaller than expected. My stay was ok.

The gym is NOT on the premises!
I couldn’t enjoy my stay to the fullest because I thought there was a gym on the premise. IT IS NOT! It’s across the street at the Loews hotel. This was extremely inconvenient because I like to get up in the early morning to workout and I didn’t want to leave the hotel. I will NEVER stay here again.

Wonderful experience of spending one week on south beach on this property. It is right by Ocean drive which is along all the other major hotels including the Loews and Ritz etc. 2 mins to the beach, Ocean drive or even Walgreens or CVS if necessary. Damian and Ming went above and beyond to help us out. Only inconvenience was that gym was not on property and is shared with the hotel across the street. Very minor issue overall.

Overall, the place was just ok. We paid over $500 a night and at that price I expected a nice room.
The bathroom shower floor looked terrible as a patch job with putty was a quick fix for a leak. The shower leaked water all over the floor each time it was used.
The floors in the room where like vinyl plank and we’re not clean as there was grit on them.

The valet service was very disappointing! Upon check in the staff told us to call down 15 mins prior to needing our vehicle yet we called in preparation for check out and still waited for over 30-45 minutes for them to “locate” our car. Absolutely ridiculous! It is evident that the communication among the staff is subpar. It is a very unique setup for a hotel. Lobby is on the 3rd floor and for 40 dollars a day you have to randomly park your car on some side street and then take it to the front desk and this is considered “Valet”. What a rip off!

A great hotel, good location close to the 150 bus, 45 minutes from the airport. Place was immaculate and well kept, staff were super friendly.
Only gripe was the bed creaked everytime you moved - was quite noticeable and felt sorry if there was anyone on the floor below

Bar drinks were ridiculously priced and there was no open disclosure of prices prior to ordering. Waited a very long time to get our room after arriving early. Ocean view is really not worth the up charge. More of a parking garage view with a sliver of water in the distance. But the staff did allow us a very late checkout to make amends and the luggage and valet staff were very friendly and helpful.

The worst hotel experience ever …
I was very shocked at the condition of the hotel. It appears run down and lacks care. The furniture in the room was super worn and old. The restroom did not appear clean. We were not informed until we arrived that the restaurant was closed for lunch, dinner and room service. The only bright spot was the door man. He was super pleasant, professional, brought our things to the room and gave us wonderful recommendations on restaurants in the area.

We stayed 3 nights ; staff only cleaned on our last night and it’s towards the end of the day; very disappointed with our stay; I’ve enjoyed my stay at other Hyatt locations that’s why I’ve decided to join your membership; but staff at other Hyatt locations much much better than your staff; you need to hire staff who know how to provide better customer service .
Your location is very good because of the beach access .

Perfect location to everything walking distance. The beach wasn’t too far and our resort fee included beach towels and chairs which was super convenient. The bus that goes to and from the airport (the 150) was less than a block away and it was only $2.50 for the bus ride. Since we were right off collins ave we also had access to Miami Beach free trolley. The showers in the hotel was amazing the staff was friendly. As far as the food I did have a chance to get breakfast before I left I ordered the breakfast sandwich and for lack of a better word it was sloppy. Everything keep falling out, but it was good. If you order a drink from the bar or get food be ready to charge it to your room because they don’t have a credit card machine for the restaurant/bar area. And out of the 4 nights I was there house keeping came only once. We called the front desk to have someone come by because we had sand all over the flower because of the beach, but they leave at six and still didn’t have anyone come the next day. They did come the 3rd day we were there but by that time we were taking showers.

Nice hotel, bed had some stuff on sheets. You have to pay for a umbrella at the beach. No restaurant due to renovation. Fridge was never cold, no knob to make colder. Gyn is inconveniently across the street. Very lackluster hotel compared to others I have stayed at in sobe. The room had this smell of whatever they use to clean or something and it smells horrible. Workers, EXTREMELY nice and kind.
