We stayed at the Baccarat for 6 nights. The staff is very friendly and professional. I cannot critique anything about the service.
However, the hotel needs to address a few things. We Booked into the Grand Classic Room (King), however, the room needs serious attention. The rooms need a serious deep cleaning. The carpets in the room were filthy. my slippers were black at the end of my stay. The shower had what looked like black mildew and looked a little worse for wear. The bedding was poor quality and not what you would expect for a 5 star hotel. The phone in my room never worked throughout my stay even after calling down to fix it. My curtains also kept falling throughout my stay
Moreover, the hotel is extremely expensive for what you get. I would not expect this level of cleanliness and condition of facility for what you're paying for.

The staff dropped my birthday cake and Iâm still upset about this like I still canât even believed it not only that I got stuck in the elevators with the doors half closed I had to record it because my experience was just bad .

Far and above, one of the best hotels weâve stayed. The attention to detail and the quality of materials used from linen to amenities made the difference. Itâs definitely an expensive hotel but you get what you for! Will definitely revisit on our next trip to NYC.

I personally like Baccarat for a variety of reasons which is why this was the second time weâve stayed there. The location is perfect, walkability, luxe, and food is great. The doorman and bellman are honestly a joy to encounter. The rest of the staff could take some pointers from them in terms of friendliness. There were some hiccups in service from the staff that seemed a bit off but in totality, I was happy with our stay.

Hotel Baccarat is a treat!
Our stay at Hotel Baccarat was such a treat! It has beautiful rooms, a fabulous restaurant, and friendly and helpful doormen and staff. Everything the hotel offers is chic and refined, with exquisite attention to detail. My daughters and I loved our stay.

I absolutely adore this hotel, I stay here every time in NYC. They got a 3 star instead of 5 star because the lady checking me out was incredibly rude and barely spoke two words to me. If she cared to ask me how my stay was, I would have shared that two amenities I enjoy when staying here before were missing this time. The house car that drops you off within a few miles of the hotel, and the free mini bar snacks/chips/cookies were both present a few years ago but not now Sept 2021. When I asked about the house car, they said "unfortunately due to COVID we don't offer this". If I can take a taxi in covid, or an Uber XL in COVID, why can't you offer a house car service with a masked guest of the hotel? Other than the rude service on checkout - pros are incredibly location, stunning room, stunning property, comfy bed, noise proof (so quiet at night), beautiful toiletries and spa. Food (in room dining) was exceptional.

Room was not beautiful as in the pictures.It was small.Beds are very small,even with a kid you can not sleep comfortable.Wi-fi was very bad.Breakfast is served in the room and it was very expensive.Location is perfect.Walking distance to everywhere.

The service was great. All of the employees were very customer service oriented. Location cannot be beat...across the street from MOMA. We did stay while COVID was still an issue....but, the gym and pool were open (with timed access....plan ahead!). The rooms were luxurious and virtually soundproof. We Normally stay at the Plaza, but it was closed due to a remodel. We will definitely stay at the Baccarat again.

Some staffs were little arrogant but most of them are very proffesional. Amazing design and I would say this is one of the best hotels. If all the staffs are friendly, this hotel would be even better!

Housekeepers were very bold on getting tips. Especially when they do night check up, they came to my room without knocking.... three times. Just asking i need something or shut down the curtain. I already said I am ok and was middle of changing the clothes.

The most uneventful 5 star hotel ever
From all of the âperfect reviewsâ I thought my stay would have been off the charts. It was just the opposite. Probably one of
The most uneventful 5 star hotel stays I have ever had. It was a bad experience right from
Check in. Upon check in I was given my room
key and shown where the elevator was. Check in took one minute. No explanation of the hotel amenities or the spa(should have received a pool pass). The room itself was nice although on the small side. No note from the manager to welcome me( just two small cookies). The staff did not acknowledge me not even the doormen or housekeeping staff.
I could hear the guests next door and upon further inspection I found a door that has some
Foam in between in to mask sound. It did not work in my opinion. The television was built into the mirror which was a cool feature. The elevator has a pad which requires you to swipe your key fob. It did not work all the time and the hotel was busy so guests were frustrated. I paid 900 per
Night so definitely not worth it There are so many amazing hotels in New York and the baccarat disappointed in so many ways.

I have stayed here about 5 times and I always enjoy coming back. Baccarat is in my top 4 choice for NYC. If you come to the city during Christmas or just simply enjoy shopping, this is the perfect location. Their restaurant and bar are excellent. The food is of an impeccable taste and quality (one of the best locations for the perfect French preparation of scrambled eggs) and their teas are delightful. The decor is very elegant with elements of glass, mirror and neutral tones of fabric with accents of red and complemented of traditional Baccarat crystal and roses. The rooms are always comfortable and super clean. The staff is very welcoming, but sometimes can be slow (especially in the restaurant). The only downside of this hotel is that there is really no view from the hotel but other than that this hotel has it all.

The decor is second to none in terms of uniqueness.....elegance yet modern. The ground floor entrance is boring.....do not be mislead. Once you get to #2, it is transformed and again a very unique layout, different from a typical luxury hotel.

Nice rooms and beautiful decoration. Excellent location. Very good concierge service. You will miss, though, a good restaurant (there isn´t one), up to date entertainment in the room (just normal TV, no streaming or things like thatâŚNETFLIX and so on) and some flexibility on the check out time.

The hotel was clean and beautiful . The gentlemen that works the door service was polite and professional , they guided me when I was lost ( first time in nyc) and help me with my luggage and cab. Front desk was also helpful , I wasnât too impress with the food selections and the high tea was a bit over price for the taste but I didnât remind paying , I would come back to baccarat ! Thank u

I stayed this hotel for the first time. My wife and son enjoyed afternoon tea at lobby lounge. The lobby at 2nd floor is incredible and more beautiful than I expected. Thus, I think this hotel is the best hotel in NYC.

Hotel is lovely. But the service is just not up to the challenge of a five star.
1. I booked a Classic King that according to there website is 401 sq ft vs Atelier at 360 sqf. When shown to my room by front desk woman I found it small. I asked woman if this was classic or atelier. She said that they are both same size. Clearly she is misinformed or website is misleading.
2. I gave my shoes to be shined over night with a request for 530 am delivery. They were not returned as of 630. I called and had to wait to last minute for them to be found. I almost had to go to my morning meeting in hotel slippers

Everything great except.....
Check in at 3pm....and we couldnât get in our room until 440pm. Extremely frustrating considering being on a time schedule with dinner and a show for the evening.

NYC has a varying approach to hotels. One thing is for sure: the best are expensive (many of the less impressive are too). The Baccarat combines luxury with comfort and is located brilliantly for anyone wanting access to Midtown (literally opposite the Museum of Modern Arts). Staff are brilliant (both in the bar and generally) and the experience at each leg was 5*. Absolutely recommended and now my favourite NYC hotel.

A great location. Great lounge and restaurant, Horrific room service. No business center and not even a computer for a guest to use. Insane room service fees. $23 for a cup of tee and when I wanted a refill another $23. Late night menu is absurd. How can you charge these prices have no business center, basically no late night menu and small rooms and small bathrooms.Great place to go for tea or a drink or lunch. Ridiculous place to stay.

Very Modern Hotel opposite MoMA
Beautifully designed modern Architecture luxury hotel in great location off 5th Ave and opposite the Museum of Modern Art. Themed and named after the great French Glass company Baccarat. Great interior designed eclectic luxury. Wonderful lounge bar and terrace. top rate service from super charming staff throughout the hotel. Nice sized rooms and marble bathrooms.

Best new hotel in the best location
This hotel is the best weâve stayed in New York. It Has impecable decoration and the staff is amazing. The location is outstanding right off 5th Avenue and close to Rockefeller Center and the Theathers. Highly recommended. We stayed in a suite and the room is very spacious. Regular rooms have also nicely spaced bathrooms but our only complain is that regular rooms could be bigger.
