Terrible experience at check in. Most of my interaction with the staff was ok, except for the check in, she was rude, barely said 2 words to me and off I went. My room was on the 2nd floor, which felt like a basement, no sunlight whatsoever. The room was spacious but the vinyl boards are coming off, the bed had a “dent” on the right side, and other details. The bathroom is tiny, with a tiny sink and didnt look that clean. Honestly, although it’s an inexpensive hotel for NY, I feel like you can get more for that price elsewhere.

This hotel was very convenient, just a couple blocks from Penn Station and a nice walk to all parts of Chelsea, Greenwich Village, etc. The room was spacious for NYC and extremely clean. It had a coffee maker, small fridge and a microwave which were nice perks. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back!

We had a great stay at Cambria Hotel Chelsea! The bed was comfy, but the pillows were a bit too soft. Otherwise, no complaints. This was a really great hotel. We stayed on the 17th floor and had no issues with the elevator. The view was amazing. And, we were close to everything! All of the staff were so nice and accommodating for our whole trip. Highly recommend!

A delightful boutique hotel in Chelsea. A great centrally located hotel. Easy to get uptown or downtown. Wholesale flower district on the block so a lot of beautiful flowers and greenery along the whole block. Close to a Walgreens and many bakeries, delis, pizza places. You can walk to Times Square and see a lot along the way.
Staff are all above and beyond pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The room was clean and had comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was above the courtyard and there was music being pumped out of speakers there all day and all night. We asked for it to be turned off in the nighttime and the staff said they couldnt/ didnt know how.

Great stay, great location to everything
We loved the hotel's room, guest services and the restaurant was amazing. The downside was the bathroom sink was clogged and missing the stopper. Also one of the pillows was clearly filthy. The pillow looked as if it has dried blood on it. The daily housekeeping is non-existent which they informed us about, but at least dump the trash daily. Aside from those issues, we loved it and will come again and suggest this hotel to others. The front desk was great. I don't know their names, but an African American woman was very helpful and very pleasant.

OK but overpriced hotel
The bathroom had the smallest sink I've ever seen in a hotel, but I guess it worked - just no place to put the toiletries. No bar soap in the room, but was given some when we asked. Our room faced the street and the hotel is in the middle of the wholesale flower and plant district and there were noisy deliveries all night long (even with the window shut). Only tables to sit at in the lobby are for the restaurant, so no place to eat our dinner that we carried out (there is a rooftop but it was too cold). The ice maker on our floor was broken. We were there 3 nights and only had our room cleaned once. No remote for the TV in the exercise room, so was unable to use that TV (but exercise room was otherwise fine). Good location (other than the noise) and generally fine, but not worth the $500 a night that I paid for 3 nights.

Last night for KISS tour. Great hotel, ten minute walk to Madison Square Garden. Rooftop views. Definitely a win for us and wow, bonkers shower pressure on the 18th floor. We loved it!!

This was our first time staying in the Chelsea area and we chose the Cambria based on its reviews. It's off 28th and 7th on a quiet street with little traffic. Very close to Penn Station and Empire State Buidling. There's lots of restaurants around and close to a metro station. The hotel is small, but that's normal for a hotel in NY. It's clean and the staff is great. I would definitely recommend if you want to stay in Chelsea.

Five of my college friends and I stayed in two rooms at the Cambria. We loved every minute staying in this hotel. It was a very warm weekend in November and we were able to sit on the patio and drink our own wine until the bar opened at 4pm. We went to the roof, where during the summer there is a bar there as well. The tables and chairs were still there, so we had our own reunion picnic up there watching the sun set and the beautiful NYC skyline. The staff were exemplary, and let us have the two rooms on the same floor. The Cambria is walking distance to Bryant Park, the Highline, and many musical theaters. Another benefit of this hotel over many others is that it has two queen-sized beds in the rooms instead of double-sized. Free coffee in the mornings, as well as an exercise room for all guests. We will definitely stay there again!

Good location, adequate hotel
When I booked, I left a note asking for a quiet room. When we departed at 3pm toward the hotel, I called and let them know that we would be arriving well after midnight and to please note our request and hold a quiet room for us. When I arrived, I was told that the only room available was on the second floor, by the elevator, facing the street! The man at the desk who checked me in was very helpful, though, and offered to move me to a new, quiet room the next day. Well, in the morning, a different and less helpful pair of gentlemen told me that as per policy, I would have to be out of my room by 11am, would have to move my stuff somewhere (I had a car full of stuff, not just a bag, and my car was valet parked, inaccessible for 3 days). I explained that it was impossible, that I had a lot of stuff, that I had requested the room in advance 4 times, but it took my wife, a lawyer and professional problem solver, to come and show them how easily they could solve the problem, but not without a lot of resistance. "If policy was meant to be applied verbatim, managers become redundant" along with an explanation of how to solve the problem seemed to get the job done. We were allowed to stay in our room until a quiet room was available and move directly. Amazing. The rooms were well appointed (albeit small). Both beds in both rooms were ruined in the stomach area by large sleepers. Both rooms had minor maintenance issues, and one of the rooms hadn't been vacuumed or dusted.

Great location in Chelsea! They had a room ready even though we arrived early. The room was just right!! The staff was great.
I only wish that a safety lock and “do not disturb” sign were on the door.

Liked the hotel staff and area. They have a cute roof top and lobby. However I will not return. The cleaning of the room was subpar. Although main items were clean, you visibly saw splatters/stains on the bathroom doors and walls. The bathroom looked a bit overused. The room and beds seemed better but I wondered how clean it really was based on the bathroom assessment.

Brian helped us checked in, he is very helpful. Angel and Kevin helped during checkout and gave us assistance on how to get to airport. Very good customer service from the crew at the hotel. Will stay again for future visits and recommmend to friends and family.

The staff was lovely. Like all hotels, they need to stop pretending that are doing the guest a favor by “leaving them undisturbed” by not cleaning the room. That statement simply says that you think your guests are stupid and don’t know that you just cut jobs for personal profit and never lowered the price of rooms.
One if the biggest perks of any hotel is guest service, even if it is just a quick clean up.

After checking in and receiving a room key we went up to find out someone else was in the room and weren’t happy to be interrupted. After that awkward situation we were given a new key for a different room which fortunately was not already occupied. The room was clean and comfortable anyway.

Nice staff, nice stay
Cambria has a great rooftop view where you can enjoy dinner and some cocktails. I do wish the kitchen was available in their lower level lounge area, however. The staff here are friendly and professional though. Our stay was comfortable, but the bathroom is really small! That's the only complaint I would have about it! Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel!

Buena ubicación pero no tiene servicios de hotel.
El hotel está muy buen ubicado. Estuve 5 noches en el hotel y mi habitación no fue arreglada nunca a pesar de que me dijeron que era cada 3 días. En el baño había unos mosquitos súper desagradables en el techo y en la habitación otros insectos, lo notifiqué pero nadie se hizo cargo.

The room needed some repair. One elevator wasn't working most of the time. The floor in the elevator needed repair. Sink and floor in the bathroom was dirty. Some repairs needed to be done on the facility as a whole. Not worth the high price and they deferr all their taxes to the customer. Not worth the money...

The staff is always great. Angel and Brian remembered us from last year. This hotel used to be close to our events but nots it’s over an hour away. It’s just so convenient for us. Taxis and Ubers don’t have issues getting there. Penn station is close. Times Square is walkable. Herald square also. It’s just the best place to be. Love it and the rooftop.

Staff is very nice, but not overly pleasant like most hotels. Imarie (spelling?) was lovely.
Pros: Hotel is close to two different subway lines and is walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, grocery, etc. The rooftop is nice if you want to take your own food or drink to eat and has nice views. Towels were good.
Cons: Room is very basic. Bathroom is tiny, room needs some upkeep or renos. (Particle board desktop, sheets covering the blanket instead of a proper duvet cover, bathroom could be cleaner)

Decent location in Chelsea. Small room, but that's standard in NYC. All New York hotels seem to be doing a thing where they don't clean the rooms daily unless you request. This started during covid and it's clearly more a cost saving measure more than anything. We requested more soap, but it was never delivered. Had to request a second time. Staff were a mixed bag. Some were great and others less so. Rooftop patio that is open during good weather but the food options were SO limited, it wasn't worth dining there. Room itself was alright. Beds and pillows were pretty comfy and the A/C worked well. Bathroom was lacking...the toilet paper holder wasn't affixed properly to the wall, chip out of the sink counter and no body wash in shower...there was shampoo, conditioner and a space for body wash, but instead there was another shampoo put in backwards, as though it was being hidden so you didn't see what it was. We also had to request more towels, because although the room accommodates four people, it was really only set up for two. Parking is offsite and so loading and unloading the car on the crowded street out front is stressful, BUT the parking cost is cheaper than other hotels in the area, so I guess that's the trade off. I would consider staying here again, but I wouldn't jump to do so, if that makes sense.

OK Stay, Wished for a better bathroom
The bathroom was too small/awkward...mostly because the door was huge and swung in so it took up too much room when door was open. It should have been designed with a pocket door. Toilet was loud! Room was bigger than a typical NYC hotel room...would have traded some of that space for a larger bathroom.

The "Flower District" location was perfect for a 5 min walk to Madison Square Garden! The parking garage used. for hotel guests was very reasonable in price.
What we didn't like was that we were given a handicapped room.(we didn't request it) The bathroom not great for our needs.

The location is perfect to hang out in the heart of Manhattan. Staff are friendly and polite.

I stayed at the Cambria hotel 5 nights. The stay was fine, but there is considerable room for improvement.
The staff was pleasant, the room was spacious. Cleanliness was the most disappointing aspect. It wasn't dirty, but didn't leave one feeling clean either. The couch in my room was so full of stains that I simply could not sit on it. The chair by the desk had clearly had milk or coffee (or something) spilled on it, and had not been properly cleaned. The soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower had clearly not been carefully wiped, and had not been checked--after two days I ran out of shower soap.
The hallway areas on each floor are very small. Most days, as I got off the elevator to make my way to my room, the first thing I encountered were big garbage bags that were left there as other areas were being cleaned.
The refrigerator in the room is there mostly for show: I put a bottle of water in the freezer section. After two days, it was slightly cold.
With moderate effort, the hotel could significantly improve its guests' experience.

Friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff. Great ground level patio seating areas in the front and back of the hotel. Rooftop patio offered a view of One World Trade Center and it was nice that you could go up there just to sit or get drink from the bar if you wish. Convenient location: Plenty of food options. Walkable distance from several attractions - Times Square, Chelsea Market, Empire State Building. Steps away from the subway entrance to the line bringing you to the WTC. Only heads up I'd give is that the sofa bed is not really a sleepable bed. No mattress/cushion so you are just kind of lying on the underside of a couch. Ended up folding up and sleeping on the narrow couch instead. Would recommend this property.

I waited 7 hours to get a room. Plus I made reservations online weeks ago. I checked in around 11am and it wasn't until 6pm I got a room. I left my number at the front desk and I didn't receive a call nor a text. I didn't wait at the hotel lobby throughout that time. I walked around, got something to eat then at 2pm and 6pm I came back to the hotel to see if a room was ready.

Room was a good size by NYC standards and location was convenient. Floor wasnt very clean and hotel only provides 2 towels which is not sufficient. Room is only cleaned after 3rd night's stay which is gross. Our tiny garbage can was overflowing yet our request to have it removed was ignored. Some front desk staff were rude and condesending to a degree that I have never experienced before.

Check in was at 4pm, our room wasn’t ready until almost 6pm which made us almost miss our reservations. They said they were just cleaning up the room but when I lifted my sheets to get into bed there was dirt and crumbs like no one bothered to flip the sheets. Stains on the walls, lampshade, blankets, towels. The area is decent for food within walking distance but I’ll never stay again.

The room was tight, especially the bathroom. The condition was a bit run down. The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way and the closet doors creaked so badly that I left them open the entire time I was there.

Because of the construction going on next door, the noise of hammers and trucks, loading materials made so much raucous noise even late at night. There was pounding till 12 am or later and it was hard to get much needed sleep.

The room smelled like mildew bathroom. Couldn’t warm or cool the room well. Staff was amazing though. Not the best towels or pillows. Parking was a little bit of a pain in the butt because it’s offsite.

We stayed in a room with two queen beds and the space was comfortable for the three of us (and our suitcases) in our group. The beds were comfortable and we didn't hear much street noise. There is a door adjoining the next room and we could hear the voices of the occupants of that room quite clearly. Thankfully they were not very loud. Overall, I was pleased with the room and the hotel itself. The team at the front desk was always very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was also responsive. We'd stay here again.

Loved our stay at the Cambria Hotel. There was a very brief wait to check in but the staff was very friendly and professional and got us to our room in no time. The king room was large and well appointed. It had everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the city.

We have stayed here several times, and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfortable. Also, it is located in the flower district - which is a definite plus! Lastly, it’s only around the corner from one of the best restaurants in the city. (L’amico). Win win! Shout out to Angel and Zen at the front desk. Always greeted us with a smile and a willingness to answer any questions.

Ok for one night
Booked a one night stay for a business trip. Upon checkin, hotel staff were quick to welcome me and hold my bag while I drove around the corner to park my car. Parking was $62 overnight. Use ParkWhiz and you'll almost certainly get a cheaper rate. The room was cozy and clean but the laminate floors were a little dirty. Very close to resturants/bars/shopping. This hotel had the best rate at the time of my booking.
