Great Getaway !!
A last minute girls weekend , we weren't sure what we were doing and I reserved this just because it was a stopping point after a time. We were ecstatic when we arrived, it is an amazing Lodge !! And we cannot wait to get back!
The beds were comfortable, the ground were beautiful ! The boat tour was very informative and the wildlife was abundant !

The whole place is a national treasure, we enjoyed everything about this place. The jungle cruise was amazing. Dinner at the resort was delicious, comfortable bed, nice hiking trails, we are already planning to come back.

A delightful experience
The reviews had led us to expect a step back in time, and we were not disappointed - and in the best possible way. We arrived on a very cold day to find a blazing log fire and an equally warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable and the bath the best we had come across in 9 days travelling across the US. The corridors are lined with photos illustrating the film-making history of the Lodge. The boat tour conducted by State Park Rangers that starts just in front of the hotel is not to be missed. The restaurant is excellent and the State Park entrance fee ($6) can be set against the bill.

Definitely not a good value for the money. The very small room had 2 full size beds, a dresser with a mirror on the wall over it, small side table and that was it - no TV, no coffeemaker, no refrigerator, not even a chair to sit in - nothing. It was very bare bones and we expected more and better from how good the reviews were. It was clean though. Will opt to stay elsewhere in the future.

We had a great time without the TV as a distraction. We were able to bond and take advantage of the boat ride and restaurant down stairs.

Staying at the Lodge is such a unique experience. (Unfortunately) I had to work during our stay and to be able to set up my laptop with a view of the springs, including white ibises and anhingas, at least provided an incredible setting. I've visited Wakulla Springs dozens of times throughout my life, but this was my first opportunity to stay at the lodge. We loved the old school atmosphere, hiking the nature trail in the morning, taking a boat ride in the afternoon, and having a cocktail at the restaurant in the evening. The tub in our room was also the setting for a relaxing end-of-day soak. Would have gladly stayed a few extra nights if our travels didn't call us elsewhere.

Mostly just fine. No TV in the small room, tiny bathroom, but pleasant. Food was a bit bland, service was slow. No bar. Beautiful location. I won't be back.

Everything about this property is unique. The Lodge is a gorgeous trip back in time, the spring is refreshing and tranquil, and on top of all of that, the restaurant never, ever disappoints. This trip is was the shrimp & grits!

My stay started off in a beautiful way. Trish knew I was not feeling well and went out of her way to help me settle in comfortably. Everyone at the Lodge was so kind. The property is a step back into old Florida for this Florida girl.

What a great way to unplug for a weekend. Step back in time in this charming lodge with vintage furniture in your room and no TV! The lobby is beautiful and has chess and checkers for guests to play. We hiked one of the trails, took the boat tour and watched the “Creature from the Black Lagoon” movie on the lawn. Fun weekend!

Very nice
Great location, beautiful property, excellent service, including the restaurant, which was also outstanding. The one big drawback of this hotel is that there are no TV's. I can live without TV, but my husband is a huge sports fan and it was very frustrating for him, especially on a big football weekend.

Nice place to stay
The hotel is old style but it’s very clean and comfortable
The restaurant make sure you make a reservation as they were turning walk ups away. I had a small issue with order but the manager rectified it and they comped the dinner

Burger nite Tuesday gave many options and both of our burgers were delicious and good value.
Beautiful setting and old Florida historic building.
The jungle boat tour guide was informative and humorous and we saw manatees, alligators and many birds. It was also a great value.
The soda fountain had many candy choices along with ice cream.
My only complaint was the door slamming of the upper door. I would stay away from rooms 21,22.
People were continuously using that door and it was very loud when the door slammed late at nite and early in the morning.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was preserved with respect for a past era. Nice, clean beach, with two level dives. Onsite gift and ice cream shops. Dining room was spacious and servers were kind and attentive. The nature boat ride was very captivating. Nice walking trails. I have stayed here before and will again! Highly recommend.

The Lodge was perfect for a small family gathering. Dining room staff (esp. Rhonda) were delightful. Bill, at front desk, was so kind when I phoned and when I was at the Lodge. Loved the sweet housekeeper who offered to get ice for me. People skills of the staff are "stellar". Boat tour is a must. After that, my adult children stayed up late and enjoyed watching the "....Black Lagoon" in the lobby. We will return to Wakulla Springs for sure.

Liked everything, the staff is great, the rooms are very clean. Stayed two days, and meals were very good, the wait staff are on the ball, even when very busy. Loved watching the wildlife( it pays to get up early and watch the spring come to life). The kids diving and jumping of the hi dive is very entertaining. I am 67 and also jumped a few times.

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Wakulla Lodge.
Shortly after check in we took the river tour, which took about 45 minutes and was terrific -even saw a few manatees.
During our stay we had breakfast, lunch and dinner - all
meals very great and the service as well.

We loved our stay here. We were in the area to check out St. Mark's Wildlife Refuge, but our stay at the Lodge was a pleasant surprise! We loved the fruendly staff and the convenience of the restaurant. The springs were nice and the birding around the property was good too!

Pure nostalgia! The Lodge has managed a feeling of stepping back in time without sacrificing anything. The ambiance is so special. The boat tour of the springs, the 30’s and 40’s music in the dining room, the pictorial history on the walls, the painted beams on the ceiling… just such an abundance of special touches make this Lodge one of the places we say as we leave, “we’ll be back”.

Beautiful place. Peaceful, you step back in time. Wildlife touring boat is a must, long with jumping off the high platform. Water is crystal clear. One of a kind place if you like nature and history.

Being in the State park is great. Staying at the lodge means you can have the springs to yourself early in the morning. The restaurant food was ok at best. The restaurant is not well lit and doesn’t have much character. The room we had all the old wood was painted over and not done well unfortunately. It wood have been nice to see that old wood. The old marble is great great to see. The bathroom had some modern changes which looked out of place. I loved the 4 water knobs to control the water . 2 hot and cold for the tub, and 2 hot and cold for the shower. The electrical outlets could have been better for charging today’s electrical devices that everyone has nowadays. It was raining the day we arrived and unfortunately there is no covered place to sit out side and enjoy the view. We didn’t have time to take a boat ride but I bet it would be great the area is beautiful. Beware of the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

I liked that it was an old, historic property which was quite well restored and maintained. A great look back at 1930s history.
There were no TVs available; the property along the sides and in the back could have used some help and when we checked in, the woman at the desk could have explained the working of the elevator since our room was on the 2nd floor.

Anniversary stay was awesome
First time there and it wasn't quite what we were expecting. Not a lot to do but we did go on the boat tours twice because we really enjoyed the wildlife! Paula at the front desk was exceptional! Our 29th Anniversary dinner was awesome! Need to hire a table buster so the waitresses can have more time for their customers! FYI there are NO TV's in the rooms.

The boat tour was awesome! Advice- do not stay in Room 27- extremely loud elevator. It’s a cool elevator from the 1930’s but ridiculously loud if in room 27!

The Lodge is inside a state park. It is very nice and relaxing for those times when you just want to take a break from the hectic world. Great boat ride on the Wakulla River right at the lodge for very little cost. The entire wooded area is beautiful nature. Nice restaurant with full liquor if desired.

Love this place. The room is nice, the bathtub nice and deep. The mattress sunk in the middle a little. The food is great and not over priced. The boat ride was great saw a ton of wild life. And the manatees we're so fun to watch early in the morning. Also watched the creature from the black lagoon movie in the lobby. Very enjoyable stay

Lovely quaint lodge
Was a great stay. Unfortunately a short stay. We drove up for Governor De Santis Inauguration.We would have loved to stay longer, as we really couldn't see all there is. Arrived at 11pm and checked out at 8 am. Did a quick walk to the river before leaving. Staff was friendly and lodge was clean.

Charming historical stay.
Wonderful stay in an historical lodge. The boat eco tour is a must. The dining was very good (food and service). Cell service was marginal on T-Mobile and the only tv is in the gathering hall per historical standards. If you are a news or sports junkie you may have a challenging stay.

Cozy historic getaway.
The lodge and springs are historic sites worth seeing. Everything was well maintained. The rooms were clean and quiet. The restaurant was at the lodge was very good. It only has 27 rooms so book early. There are no tvs which was perfect for a nice relaxing weekend. Definitely plan on doing the boat tour of the springs. Lot of history and nostalgia.

The staff at the lodge were very friendly. The place feels clean. Went on reviews of exceptional to book but can't see what is exceptional about the place. Full room is large but beds against the walls. Furnishings old and worn. Same with chairs in dining room. Holes in them. Historical place but needs some repairs. This is why I give it more of a neutral rating.
