The room was spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I can have problems trying to sleep away from home but I slept very well here! The food was very limited but fine.

We had a great stay at Microtel in Lynchburg, Virginia. The hotel was very nice, the staff were very helpful, and the room was comfortable and spacious. The location was great, central to everything we needed to access during our stay.

The breakfast was not to mention anything about it! When we came down 50 min still before the end of serving, we were greeted with 2 bagels, 2 apples, some cereal, waffle mix and I package of milk. Also, there was only 1 cup for a hot drink. When asking the staff were the breakfast is she replied it is there and all we serve! I told her where as I saw nothing! Then I asked her again a few minutes later and told her 2 bagels for 2 people and I cup of coffee for 2??? She then replied it will be filled up and left me standing and waiting. She went to the office at the check-in and talked to people and then she came out again and spoke with more people. When I clearly had to make a screen and said this is ridicules 1 cup of coffee for 2 guests she finally came and filled up the coffee cups and the bagels. The rooms did not receive any cleaning service whatsoever! You had to sleep in the unmade beds and reuse the towels. Everything there is rationed as I asked for shampoo and the maid said for how many guests and we received 1! Worst ever stay I had in a hotel.

Amazing for such a low price!
This is very nice hotel, especially for the price! The breakfast didn’t have many options (waffle maker was the only hot food), but the room was very nice and looked and smelled extremely clean. Nice little extras in the king suite. Truly much nicer than I expected for the price

Don't plan to eat
The only thing available for breakfast was packaged oatmeal, without milk, bagels and waffles. I am a diabetic and eat protein for breakfast. There were no eggs, meat, yogurt. Will not stay here again.

Excellent service from front desk. Surprised they still use the Covid excuse to not offer housekeeping for a four day stay by I’m sure the price reflects that so I’m ok with it. Excellent value and service

Breakfast was dissapointing.

When we arrived there was an overwhelming and unpleasant cleaning chemical smell in the whole hotel. Our room wasn’t very clean though , I cleaned the toilet myself, didn’t want to bother calling anyone. The breakfast was very poor, only cereal, plain bagels, and waffles with cream cheese, butter, syrup or jams. There were drinking water bottles, but ran out very fast. On the positive note, hotel staff were very nice.

Complimentary waffles for breakfast. That's about it. If you come in late with an hour left for breakfast you are scrounging for anything. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. The shower /tub was "noisy" when you stepped on the floor of it taking a shower. If you leave out your towels in the hall in order to get fresh ones (as told to do) then go ahead and walk down to the front desk to get some b/c you know they won't be in the room.

We were visiting family for Thanksgiving and found the Microtel adequate for our needs. The room comfortable and location convenient. Our TV was okay. The quality of the picture not very good. The picture would darken off and on. The breakfast was extremely cheep. No eggs, no yogurt, no protein whatsoever. The staff were not overly present or attentive. They did not speak unless spoken to. Some people may like it that way. We however were looking for some hospitality.

Front desk staff were fine. Room was clean. Parking convenient. Lots of noise from neighboring rooms and creaking and footsteps overhead so not very sound proof. Unfortunately shower faucet only turned to warm water not hot. I informed front desk before checking out so hopefully they will fix that for the next guest. Overall a good value hotel.

Very clean and comfortable room, quiet and great location. Terrible staff service, horrible breakfast, very poor quantity and quality. I stayed three nights and they never clean the room which is disappointed. Not enough toiletries.

Clean room toilet seat was very loose they had to replace it . overall the room was in good condition. WIFI is slow but they had an Ethernet jack I was able to plug in my travel router and create my own wifi and was much better . I could now watch Netflick and Hulu . Breakfast was VERY basic no meat , Waffles a bagel some fruit and few cereal choices .

The stay was OK. The room clean and bed comfortable. The lighting in the room is awful! I get migraines and had to put 4 Walmart bags over the light to make it tolerable. The LED was extremely bright and radiated out rather than down. It was the only option in the room other than a can light over the window. TV was OK, a little tinny sounding. The room was small but addequarte with shelves. Breakfast bar was scant. Two waffle makers, which is nice. However, no yogurt, eggs or anything else warm. Only white bread or white bagels for toasting. Two choices of instant oatmeal and cold cereal. Compared to other chains, it seemed really skimpy. Mostly due to the lighting, I would not stay here again.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was just OK, mainly a lot of carbohydrates; no eggs or yogurt. The fitness center is nothing more than a bike, a treadmill and an elliptical machine. Neither the treadmill nor the elliptical were functioning. It would be nice to have some weights.

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed at microtel. I've had experience at others that wasn't as great. But this microtel was clean and comfortable with a great breakfast bar and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

It worked.
The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The “breakfast” was lackluster and nothing to get excited about. The fitness center was closed (nothing about it was mentioned while booking) so that was a bummer. However, for the location and the purpose it was more than fine. Wild consider staying again.

Great Location in Lynchburg
Very convenient to shops/mall, Liberty University & easy access to main roads. Could not hear any road/car noise at night; king bed was exceptionally comfortable.
Wish the B’fast bar had more than Waffles, bagels & cereal. I know protein is expensive but the small, microwaveable cheese omelets & bacon or sausage would be a good addition.
5 out of 5 stars. Would recommend to others & would stay again.

Hotel was mostly clean but there was urine on the toilet seat. Also the breakfast was atrocious. Literally the only things there were dry cereal (no milk), oatmeal packets, a waffle maker and one rotten apple. This was 30+ minutes before breakfast ended.

The bathroom was very dirty. The ac had a musty smell. The doors slam so it keeps waking you up in the night. No one tended the breakfast area, so there was NOTHING available saturday for guests.

Staff were helpful and courteous, however the property is showing its age and needs renewal. Sheet rock above the shower was starting to crumble and the shower control was not sealed against the shower wall. The breakfast was poor, no hot items except waffles, no yogurts.

It was very nice and clean. The queen bed was wonderful but we really need a king size. The bathroom needs more counter top space but there was a nice shelf unit for your stuff. The room in tiny… but I felt comfortable because it was very clean and modern. It was just tight. Honestly there was nothing for anyone on a more protein or healthy diet for breakfast. Need more breakfast selections.

The rooms are very generous in size with the extra sofa provided. Modern and Good design with extra space for putting multiple luggages up off the floor.

The hotel staff was pleasant. The room was clean but bathtub was full of water. Wasn’t if it was cleaned. I drained the water and cleaned the tub. The bathroom floor could have used a a mop. I didn’t complain since I arrived late evening and was out early morning.

No working clock in room to set for alarm. The desk did not call room for scheduled wake-up call. Light not working in entrance to room making is challenge to find other lamps when entering room at night. Man who dove me to Amtrak train into was kind and responsible.

This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel. We enjoy our stay every time we stay here. The check-in is easy and the front desk staff, like Steve and Jennifer, are polite and professional. They do their best to make you stay very welcoming. The hotel and rooms are clean. The cleaning staff are very nice. I have never had a bad experience at this hotel. It is convenient to shopping and places to eat.

I love my coffee in the morning. The coffee was so weak that it was undrinkable. Many comments from other guests about this. There was no staff in the breakfast room. I went to the front desk to ask about the coffee and was told that they were the only person on duty and that it might take a while to fix the problem. It was not fixed at the time we checked out 20 minutes later,
