Don’t stay here
The property is old and outdated. The water pressure was so bad that I wouldn’t even call it a shower. The air conditioner was so close to the bed it blew cold air straight on the person closest. There was no hairdryer. Don’t stsy here. I’m

Front desk staff are excellent. Very helpful and welcoming. Parking garage well-lit and safe. Quiet rooms. Other than driving past in the dark trying to find the hotel (maps!!)...very nice one night stay close to city.

Safe, clean, large rooms & in a beautiful neighborhood. Check in was quick and easy. I had my dog with me and there is a little park nearby and lovely residential neighborhood to walk him (or to enjoy for yourself). I’d stay here again.

In general, it was good. The bed was excellent. The iron needed to be clean because it left residue on the clothes. But the Wi-Fi was completely useless. No website would come on because it was so insecure. in 2024 useless or no Wi-Fi is the dealbreaker. For that reason, I would never go back.

Good free breakfast from 6 am to 10 am. There were recyclable paper plates and cups, but not a separate bin to put them in.
We were there 3 nights and noticed the card in the room saying the rooms would be cleaned every other day "for our convenience", but did not know we would have to call to get it cleaned on the 3rd day. We got extra soap and towels from the maid, but she did not offer to clean the room.
Room was larger than most, and seemed to be handicap accessible, although we did not ask for that. The bathroom had grab bars everywhere.
Exercise room is great -- lots of different machines to use. Swimming pool is too small for laps, and too shallow for anyone but kids (less than 4 ft. deep).
Very convenient to downtown Clayton on the south side, and nice walkable neighborhood streets on the north side.

Nice, well run property. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Parking garage is less than ideal and lacks signage on first arrival. Have to be careful when opening tailgate on SUV due to low ceiling.

Nice and clean, nice neighborhood. Close to Delmar Loop which is where the venue we went to was. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the general area.All staff helpful and courteous. Parking garage is nice and accessible but there is a height restriction of 6’3” just a FYI. Will definitely stay there again when back in STL.

Life without perks
When I stay at this hotel with my wife on Hilton Honors program we always get an upper floor room and free bottled water. Booking a solo vision Hotels.com I was given a second floor room next to the elevator. But there’s always the free waffles for breakfast !

I was charged double what the original receipt stated; the beds were the most uncomfortable as were the pillows, and a spot light from the center courtyard beamed in through the windows the entire night. Worst night of sleep ever!

The room had a window shade that was broken and could roll up. They tried but couldn’t repair it. We were put in a handicap room which had an open showed stall and the water pressure was so low it was hard to get shampoo out of my hair. The breakfast was aoften out of coffe and milk. So disappointing for a Hampton Inn!

Parking lot area was dirty. I felt I was tracking in dirt. Was that a stain on the carpet in our room or just odd colored carpet? Otherwise, everything else was very clean! Staff pleasant. Convenient location for us. Breakfast good.

Nice but showing a little wear and tear
Still a comfortable and relatively affordable place to stay in Clayton (although note it’s not really in the Galleria area as billed.)
But it’s showing a little wear compared with my earlier visits when it was brand new. The light and alert sound on the legendary waffle maker was broken as was my in/room refrigerator.

Comfortable and Clean
The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. Kids used the pool and enjoyed themselves. We will stay again when visiting family.

Good location. Easy to get to but not too close to the freeway to be noisy or have too much traffic. Only negatives not enough parking—we had to park on the street—and the elevator made horrible noise, so we chose to walk to our third floor room.

Hotel was excellent. Clean, a lot of amenities from the pool, exercise room, bar, and outdoor fire pit. Staff was knowledgeable about the area and offered excellent suggestions.
The only thing we did not like was the extremely low water pressure in the shower and sink.
Would stay here again.

The young lady at the front desk was wonderful! The may the maintenance guy was cool as we required his assistance. The lady who worked the bar however concerned me a little bit in terms of cleanliness. She had her hands down the back of her pants while discussing food options, who does that?

I really like everything in my stay, the air conditioning in my room didn’t work well, but I didn’t say anything because i didn’t care, my door locke it self when I got out to have breakfast but it was fix in less than 5 minutes, check in and check out was easy. Breakfast was really good.

Property was in a nice area and easy to get to. Air conditioner unit in room was poorly placed as it was very close to one of the beds at the head of the bed. As a result when it kicked on there was cold air blowing directly in your face throughout the night. Breakfast was poor to average and had to ask for multiple things to be refilled, one of those being coffee. Pool was small and quite cold for an indoor pool.

This was a very nice place to stay for being close to WashU over move-in week. I don't know if it was room specific or property specific, but two things that could be improved: the thermostat was lit up all night, and the shower was almost immediately too hot. A cool shower was not possible, but desired, after a hot afternoon walk in the park.

Fantastic staff!
Okay the staff alone is reason enough to stay here! We had the worst start to a trip. Hertz really let us down and it was a long drive, but we were greeted to just an amazing person with a bright smile. The hotel was nice and my kids loved the pool. But the friendly faces and helpful staff is what made the stay great. The breakfast crew was so nice and chatted. They were understanding of my crazy kiddos running around. I as a tired, frazzled mama am ao grateful

Good option in STL
Good option in the STL area. In between the airport and downtown. Good breakfast options, gym is in good condition. Hotel room was very spacious. Parking was $12 a night but parking available on the weekend for free outside of the garage.

The staff were very nice amd accomodating. The room was kept clean and was very comfortable. The bathroom however was the main issue, shower had barely any pressure, the water took nearly 10 minutes to warm up. The toilet paper was like thin sandpaper and the towels were not all clean. One had dried blood or something on it. The breakfast was superb, good selection, tasty, and the area was kept very clean and organized.

I was charged $50 more than quoted on Expedia. We only booked there for the pool for our kids and it was closed for one day, the day we were there. There was no explanation as to why, the pool itself looked fine, and then it reopened as we were checking out. The maintenance man was rude to our children as well as the housekeeping staff when my niece was trying to get in to our room and they were blocking it and told her to wait.

Outdated rooms and a race for hot water
This used to be the Daniele Hotel in Clayton, MO. It seems like the only updates since the late 1990s have been to the lobby because the room looks nearly identical to my stay in 1999. The tub even had deep gouges in it that had developed a color to them.
The thermostat seemed relatively new and worked fine. Same for the Wifi. We did notice two asian lady beetles in the room, so pest control might be an issue. Despite entrants from outdoors, the room had poor ventilation as documented by my portable CO2 monitor.
The worst thing was the lack of reliable hot water. It was clear the hotel can't handle multiple guests bathing within a short period of time. We took showers at different times and it was obvious by 8:30/9:00 am the hot water was no longer available. Maintenance was prompt and polite but tried to tell us luke warm water was "hot", so my guess is the hotel knows about this issue.
This hotel is not worth the price! There is a newer Homewood Suites and Drury Inn and Suites very close that would be more comfortable.

The hotel was clean. The pool was well cared for and had towels for you to use. The rooms were very hot and we couldn’t control the temperature. The service was not great. Front desk was very slow. Bar was never open.

Very hospitable staff.
The breakfast options are fairly limited which is not unusual for many breakfast included hotels. I call the eggs powdered eggs.
