I stayed 2 nights. Two things were annoying- The sliding door to the bathroom had a 1 inch gap which prevented total privacy. The table between the two beds had no power to it. Could not plug it in either. Cell Phones had to be plugged in across the room and the house phone was dead because it wasn’t charged. I could have complained but I didn’t. When I checked out I did mention it and the front desk clerk and he gave me a free night of resort fees worth about $60. In fact he volunteered it. I stayed a third night in another room an all was good.

Horrible place to stay
Horrible stay , barely lasted an hour in the room the staff , security , the entire experience at the start was just a 0-10 experience within the first hour let alone.

The room was very old & outdated even though they remodeled rooms we got put in an old one instead of the room that was advertised. Called front desk and the lady said because it was through a 3rd party they can’t control what pictures were used. She even went as far as saying the room that we were in is also advertised in their website. That’s a lie. There’s no way anyone would advertise that room and think it would be filled. The caulking around the tub and sink were yellowing and cracking. It only had a tv and nothing else. The iron leaked water. Oh, the mattress was horrible it had a deep in it and you could feel the springs. Overall the room was not meeting expectations. Really not happy about the room

Received a text the room was ready only to get there and be advised “your room isn’t cleaned yet.” It was another 4 hours from that time until our room was ready which I had to follow up to find out. The service desk advised they would tell me when it was ready, never did!
Microwave and fridge is an upgrade option for I believe $60 per night… isn’t this standard in a hotel room? I didn’t do the upgrade as I didn’t intend on being in the room often.
Off the resort feels a little sketchy. This hotel is at the EDGE of the strip. No where close to the other hotels or where actual activity is and not in walking distance to the are of the strip that is hopping (Paris, Bellagio, Ceasers etc).

The hotel was very old and run down.
They lost hot water for awhile.
The rooms are comparable to a motel 6.
We used the kiosk to check in, we had to walk extremely far to get to the room, and then the keys didn’t work.
They told us they would give us an upgrade to a room that had a coffee maker and fridge, that’s bare minimum for a hotel stay.
Tons of kids.
Restaurants were poor and limited.
We only stayed here for a place to close our eyes for a few hours.
Hotel employees approach you with “free tickets” but it’s actually a time share scheme.
Would not stay again.

this is the hotel has the worst rooms I've ever stayed in. stains on curtains, the bathroom needed elto my mopped and bathtub and sink scrubbed, disgusting do not shower.

Pros and cons. Great one of a kind views from strat tower. Should have paid the extra $100 for an updated room. The bed was awful. The property was ok. Surrounding area was intimidating. Walk to the Walgreens nearby was an adventure.

The room was super basic but went in knowing that. Didn’t pay much, can’t expect crazy amenities but cleaningness shouldn’t be neglected regardless of its price

Staff in hotel could not find my reservation because of expedia.com sent my first and last name in wrong. Further more, hotel did not send check out invoice because of hotel did not know my e-mail…. I liked that it seemed newly renovated. I heard it was. Everything was good. I really liked the $1 min. Craps machine and $3 Blackjack!!! Played that the most!

Property very convenient however, we had no hot water the entire stay and though I've stayed there at least 6 times, I've received absolutely no amenities or comps. Meanwhile, MGM offers me free rooms often and I always get free slot play and meals.

Affordable and Nice stay
My room was quiet at night and clean.
I tried to check in through the automated kiosk but it did not work so I went to the queue. Because I booked a standard room and they were out of standard rooms at the time of check in, I received a complimentary "upgrade."
Parking was free as well since my rental car plates were Nevada which was a nice surprise.

My TV didn’t work. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to fix it which was great. I didn’t appreciate the hidden fees. I booked with Expedia, thought I paid for everything and then when checking in I got charged an extra $50 for a resort fee. That’s low.

Don’t believe any of the hype. It’s an awful place to stay. Our mattresses were old and collapsed. Before switching us to another room at 9:15pm, they stripped the beds, removed the mattresses, and only then moved us. The whole experience was exhausting. We were there for work. I’ll never be back.

The first room we were assigned had a mattress not acceptable. We contacted the staff and they were more than happy to help us and switched out room. The room had motion lights under the night stand. That was convenient using the bathroom at night. The Top of the World restaurant is one of the best in town. Pricey but the Wagyu steak was AMAZING!! Also, must see the 'Rouge' show on premisses. Get place to save a few bucks and get the full Las Vegas casino experience. Definitely will stay again!!

Great place to stay
We loved it. It may be at the end of the strip but the monarail was easy to use. Plus it wasnt bearly as crazy in the lobby as the hotels in the middle. It was perfect and quiet (well not overwhelming) wish parking was free for guest staying there but most hotels you have to pay. The view from the top was AMAZING. Staff was friendly and kind. Wish every hotel experience was like this.

Our first room had a broken AC, but it had a hair dryer. Our second room “upgrade” was smaller and, though renovated, had smaller drawers and fewer hanging hooks, and no hair dryer. I was told that the hair dryer was not an included amenity. It took over 24 hours and 3 calls to obtain one - a vital tool for someone with hair and on a business trip.

The room given was in very bad shape. The floor in the bathroom was coming apart. The AC was very dirty, and full of lint was not happy with the stay at the strat coffee maker was not working as well.

The staff was nice however they did try to have me upgrade my room for a $40/day more due to not having a coffee maker, refrigerate or ice bucket in the room. I declined and when i arrive what do you know there was a coffee maker and ice bucket just no refrigerator. I was not going to pay extra for these items as i didn't plan to be in the room much. The hotel is not in the nicest part of town, the parking garage can't accommodate a pick up truck higher than 6ft. They do offer oversized parking across the street and is pretty expensive at 30/day. Our sheets had cigarette holes in them and they were obvious to us so I'm pretty sure the staff had to see them when putting them on the bed. The water in the toilet was brown every time we flushed. This was our first time staying here and will be our last.

Check in was long and disorganized. Paid for a suite/upgraded room and was put on the bottom floor. Had to go back to beg for a higher floor room. We reserved 3 rooms as my daughter was getting married in the stratosphere. Better service should have been given at check in. That being said, my daughters wedding was beautiful and the strat staff in charge of it was amazing and the photographer was amazing. Very pleased and recommend the venue. We ate at the cafe 2 times and had great food and service.

They tried to charge my card for smoking in the room and I don't even smoke. That was my only real issue with the place. They need to check after each visitor and make sure they are not smoking in a non smoking room.

This is as much a review of Expedia as the property. It would appear that unlike Hotels.com, when Expedia says the price includes fees, it doesn't include all fees, i.e. resort fees and parking fees, which added $67/night to the price. Why you can't just tell people in advance what it's going to cost and are instead bent on giving people an infuriating surprise at checkout is incomprehensible.

As a consumer, I felt I should’ve been notified that the pool in amenities was not available during the season and also to parking was going to be an additional cost. Those should be told to the consumer ahead of time and I feel that I wasn’t informed.

The furniture in the rooms is getting old. Scratches everywhere. You can tell the place hasn't been upgraded in years. The Casino area smells worse (i.e., cigarette smoke) than the other Casinos. You can faintly smell it in the rooms as well. The check-in experience was very slow. I tried doing self check in, but it didn't seem to work, so then waited on line while 2 employees processed 20 people. It took about 30 minutes just to check in. That can be a very tiring experience after a long flight.

Brown water coming out of the sink, toilet, and shower. Maintenance showed little to no care about it. Carpets are lifted in the hallways causing tripping. Sounding area is not pleasant

I have booked with the Strat/Stratosphere multiple times per year for my various companies for the last 15 years, because it was easy to get in and out of with free parking, but this year when I arrived to find out that it was $22 per day to park, unfortunately I will now have to look at other options as that was a big surprise, I can book anywhere else and use the valet for free, plus a tip. Thank You, and sad to not book with the Strat in the future... :-( You should at least allow guests to stay with free parking...

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed! We travel A LOT… from the moment we checked in it was one problem after another. We were moved from room to room because of issues (toilet overflow, being placed in a handicap room without a shower door, being promised a suite ….which was paid for then not given) we were in 3 different rooms over the first two days. Hotel staff flat out lied to us on more than one occasion. The rooms were filthy … dirty towels laid behind the bathroom door of the third room, when called we were told it would be cleaned… nope, never was. The stench coming out of the sink is horrible, they must have a plumbing problem when two of the three rooms had commode issues. Oh and if you’re staying here be sure to bring your own hairdryer … when there wasn’t one in our room we were told that it’s not a hotel amenities. I could go on and on, I’m only naming a few of the inconveniences we had to experience without any refund for anything…not even one night. We spent four nights in this horrific place …. Never again!!! Even if it was free!!

The rooms were clean and the Strat was a good affordable place to stay. It is far from the rest of the strip but for us it was fine as we don’t mind walking. Even 2.5 miles to see the main part of the strip area. I see many poor reviews on cleanliness but again. Rooms were clean. Older hotel so anything else is just more that it’s in need of a few updates. But. The price is right and I’d rather spend my money on the other stuff then the room to crash in at night

I would never recommend this place because overcharged when I got there . Parking very expensive staff not friendly, poor customer service terrible housekeeping they come to my room left stained sheets I called to change them and the brought another ones with big holes on it . I’m the room bath tan was broken the room was not the one I reserve at the reception they told me if I want that one I have to pay more money .. terrible experience.

We did not get the exact same room that we booked. We booked a newer renovated room. We had a room given to us that was probably over 28 years old and has never been remodeled. Went to the room for 15 minutes grabbed our bags and just went home since we are locals we did not even stay in the room TV was broken everything was outdated and the room smelled like smoke. And the bed look like it has never been replaced since the casino opened really disappointed in this casino especially for being a locals that tries to do staycations on the strip to support our local economy

First time here, staying for work and my usual hotel was all booked.
The hallway on my floor smelled of stale cigarettes and the carpet is coming up so bad you can trip while walking. Beds in the room must have been left over from another hotel’s bankruptcy auction. The floor had more support than the mattress. Bathtub had mold around the edges and very dark, towels had stains on them as well.
Not returning to this property, I will pay more next time for a better hotel

The room was clean and decent for the price. The staff we also very friendly and helpful. The biggest drawback is the location. There were many abandoned buildings and homeless people outside the hotel. It’s not in a great part of town.

All in all it was pretty good but needed more cleaning in rooms, issue with toilet running which is bad for a dessert short on water, staff were only knowledgeable for their specific position (no cross training) but that seems normal for Vegas resorts. Front desk did up grade our room for no additional charge simply because we asked and their vacancy could accommodate it.
