Overall the rooms were good. Some updating needed but nothing major. The staff were all very friendly including Dianne who worked setting up the daily breakfast. She was super helpful and very kind. Always went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We checked in very late after traveling all night and the check in was super quick. Food options near by and was easy to find off the highway.

Altho I get it, not a fan of their toilet design
Not a fan of the very small and separate toilet cubbyhole across the room from the other bathroom. Even less of a fan of the smoked glass in the sliding door to the toilet cubbyhole. Girls and boys, if you want a perfectly outlined silhouette of you and what you're doing next to or on the toilet, you'll love this design.

The lobby area was really nice, the room was set up in a way that was very convenient. I had pretty much everything I needed. I just wished they had more breakfast options available. Overall it was great.

Too Much, Too Little, Too Late
It cost too much for what they were offering, which was nothing. They ran out of breakfast because they had a large party. I wasn’t driving so I missed breakfast both mornings, waiting for someone to take me to get something to eat from elsewhere.
The couch was raggedy and the remote did not work in TV

My family and I stayed for one night but we wished we could stay longer! The room was immaculate and very comfortable for our family of 5. Bathrooms were tidy and could still smell the cleaner that was used. Gota love that! Staff was friendly and made sure we felt welcomed. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately this property was so dirty. We were there for 5 nights. Our room was not touched once, including our trash and towels. I called several times to ask for someone to switch them out. I had to take care of them. Our bathroom is our room was disgusting…. There was red stuff all over the toilet, the towel bar was broken the shower had stuff on the drain and the bedding had stains on it. The pool was never cleaned the entire time we were there. The same pile of gum and dirty socks stayed in the same place for the entire stay. The only good thing about it was Kia( the lady who ran the breakfast)

Dirty sofa.
Sofa looked dirty and the hallway carpet looks awful. Sofa needs to be steam cleaned or replaced to something that can be wiped off. Television is too small. This hotel not up to standards as the Tru or the Hyatt but the price is around the same.

With all of our travels this hotel provided the best overall experience. Kim, who was the front desk attendant, did an excellent job deescalating an unruly guest while there. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff behaves like they own the place
Woke up 2 am to some one in boots stomping for two hours above us. Overnight Front desk clerk sleeping on the couch. Food workers who do service were busy on the cell and the other eating and licking syrup off her fingers. She should have eaten before breakfast for guest times. To top it off the morning front desk clerk was sassy and rude. For such a nice remodel hotel the stay should have been better. The staff needs to be overhauled.

Awesome stay
They let my reserved the pool for me and my family. They were very cleaned and polite. The breakfast was awesome. They practice covid precautions and was very safe. Staff was awesome. I love the atmosphere . I would recommend this hotel to everyone

The size of the room is nice and having a pull out sofa/sleeper was convenient. What I did not like was the sliding doors for the bathroom areas - they do not slide well. Also, the floors were not vacuumed well - we had toenail clippings from a previous guest on our floor (ick!) and a dirty knife under the bed/couch. The room was hot and you could only turn it down so far - it was not comfortable sleeping.

This is our second time staying here and it’s FABULOUS!! We stayed here for a week. The rooms are spacious and well accommodated. The room (and the entire property actually) was VERY CLEAN. The AC worked great, almost too good! The staff is wonderful, very friendly, professional, and accommodating. We will definitely return for our next visit!

We arrived a little earlier than expected for our reservation(check in is at 3, we got there at about 12:30).I was helped at the front desk by Vanessa, who was able to have our room readyat 1pm. One staff member in particular, her name begins with a K (cleaning staff), made sure that our stay was comfortable and convenient. Thanks guys!

I like the room layout. However the HVAC was loud making it difficult to sleep. In addition, the blackout shades would not completely close. So, the streetlight outside was too bright inside. On the plus side, the property was attractive and the staff was incredibly nice.

Best place to stay in Sumter, hands down
Home away from home with all the amenities and very pleasant staff. Have stayed here several times and the rooms are always immaculate, beds are ultra comfy, showers are hot and service is great. Due to the set up of the rooms they are also quite spacious. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Usually very nice and quiet
This was my third stay at Springhill Suites in Sumter. The part I like best about the hotel is how quiet the rooms are. But this time was different. I could hear every step the person in the room above me took. There obviously was a child as there was much running and jumping. I guess the other times I was on the top floor or didn't have anyone near me. Also the reading lamp by the couch didn't work. I asked for a new lightbulb after the first night and it never came. Overall this hotel is very clean and I will stay here again.
