The hotel is in a convenient location. When we checked in our keys didn’t work, so we he to travel back to the front desk. The front desk agent was kind enough to ride the elevator with us to the room to make sure we were able to get in on the 2nd try. The beds are comfortable and the room size is great. The only thing that disappointed me was the condition of the bathroom. The bathtub had stains in it, there was hair on the floor, stains on the toilet seat and toilet handle. I was very uncomfortable in the bathroom, because it looked like it wasn’t cleaned at all.

Carpet had not been vacuumed. When we pulled the curtain closed at night it revealed a bandaid stuck on the wall. Totally grossed me out. The sheets were pilly and therefore itchy. The bed was worn out and we could not get comfortable. Didn’t sleep a wink! Will not return. The staff upon arrival were so nice and I had high hopes until we got into the bed and then saw the bandaid. The employee at checkout was awful. She didn’t care about our experience and simply just said I will tell housekeeping. Had no customer service skills or empathy to our experience.

The Starbucks of Hotels
Our stay was a stopover on our way home. Hampton is our go to hotel. You know for the most part that’s it going to be clean, comfortable, and consistent!

Loved the big shower, the large shampoo, conditioner, body wash bottles, comfortable king bed, bathroom night light (i always forget to bring one) quiet air conditioner. Nice breakfast spread.
This hotel had all the things we needed for a comfortable overnight stay and easy departure.

I stayed here on a trip to Lynchburg to move my daughter into Liberty University. The hotel is very conveniently located near the university. It is very clean and the room was comfortable. The staff was friendly. I also enjoyed the breakfast which is included in the room price and the pool was a fun way to cool off and relax.

Very comfortable stay-except the pool
Our stay was very comfortable at this location. I stayed with my three young children and my dog, so having the complementary breakfast was very helpful. There was enough variety each day for everyone to be able to eat something they enjoyed. The rooms were plenty spacious, for the reason for our visit and the hotel was conveniently located within a short drive to shopping, restaurants, activities and grocery stores. The pool area was very small and VERY hot. It felt more like a sauna than an indoor pool area, and since we were staying in the middle of the summer, this was disappointing. There were not any pet waste stations located on the property, so make sure that you bring your own bags when taking your pets out. Overall, I would stay at this location again, if traveling in the area, minus the pool situation. If you area looking for a more enjoyable pool environment, I would look elsewhere. Aside from that, we had a very positive experience.

My family (myself, my husband, two children and my parents) had a quick weekend getaway here. My parents stayed in a room two down from us. I found the hotel to be very accomodating, convenient, clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds were kept nicely landscaped and clean. The room was perfect for our needs. The breakfast was delicious and had everything we needed. The pool area was great and my kids had a blast swimming. The pool water was very cold so we just had to plunge in to get used to it but the pool room itself was kept warm. There was even a small patio outside the pool area to eat at or lay in the sun. The best part was the friendliness of the staff there. We were checked in early, given complimentary water bottles and consistently checked on throughout the visit. We would definitely stay here again if we visit. It was right across from the airport but not loud at all. It was nice to watch the small planes take off and land. There was also many food/dining options nearby but walking would be difficult only because of safety. The hotel was off a main, heavily traveled, road.

Using this service was worthless. The hotel could not access my reservation and trying to get anyone from expedia to help was useless. My account had better not been charged for this reservation. Good thing that the hotel had room and I was able to get a room for my stay. I will never use Expedia again.

Overcharged by clueless clerk
Front desk clerk overcharged me over $200 even though I showed him my receipt that I had prepaid. He just kept saying we can’t see what you paid it’s better to book through Hilton. The next morning the clerk said they made a mistake and were working
on it but still the overcharge is on my card.

Enjoyed our stay...
The location was perfect. Very quiet area and that's with a small airport across the street. We didn't hear any outside noise at all. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was okay. The ladies working the station were fast to restock the breakfast area. Front desk people were very nice and helpful.

Another great stay at Hampton Inn!
Husband and I took a 2-day trip in the Lynchburg area...wanting to visit the historical sites in the area. "ROZ" at the check-in desk was absolutely WONDERFUL...and I enjoyed seeing her and her amazing smile, several times while we were here! She is truly a Blessing to your customers, for sure!! Everything was just fine, as always, but one thing that made our stay less than perfect: The heat/A/C register is sooo hard to read! Even with my reading glasses on, I could not tell what "function" the unit was on, since I was only able to read the TEMPERATURE, and not the small writing which had the controls on it. Considering that many people are now middle-aged or older, this might be a problem for other guests, as well. But all in all....a great visit here at Hampton, with a special "thank you" to Roz, in particular!!

We stayed for 4 nights. We requested that our room be cleaned each day and we were assured that our room would be cleaned. We received apologies each day for not cleaning each day. We cleaned the room ourselves. Made the bed, emptied the trash, put the towels in the hall and requested clean towels each day which were delivered by the front desk personel. Disappointing.

I initially had the do not disturb sign on the door and left the room as they were cleaning a few doors down. The cleaning team never circled back around to even leave clean towels for the second day of my stay. I just feel there should be a system in place if something like this were to happen. I could see if it was later in the day but they were a couple doors down from my room.

This was a pretty typical Hampton Inn, a nice enough place to stay. It was clean and friendly. The breakfast was okay, but they had run out of OJ and oatmeal by 9:00. Beds were not as comfy as some Hampton Inns, but okay.

The room was disgusting king dirty - the floors in the bathroom had hair on them and pieces of stuff in the carpet. Mold in the bathroom and air conditioning unit. Incredibly dusty. The sheets and towels did appear to be clean, but we had to wear our shoes in the room and bathroom. The front desk was rude and unwelcoming.

There were no USB charging ports anymore in the room which surprised me as most hotel rooms have them in lamps and other locations.
The hot breakfast items were barely worm. Had to toss my first plate and cook a waffle.

Overall very comfortable. Room is smaller than depicted on the photos but that is to be expected I guess. Only issue I had was NO blanket for the sofa bed. None available from front desk either. Staff didn’t know where to get one or there was none, not sure.

Outstanding stay at this Hampton Inn, very nice and spacious room (with a proper desk) and convenient to the University. Also, big thanks to the staff, when I checked out I accidentally left a very expensive jacket in the closet. When I called about getting it returned the manager was not available at the moment but did call me right back and FedExed the jacket to me the next day.

There was only one bench outside for seating and the kitchen staff was on it for most of each of the two mornings I was there. More outdoor seating would be nice. Also how about reinstituting the ice water dispenser near the coffee

Liked the decor, the friendly and helpful staff. VERY helpful and friendly staff. They made me feel right at home.
Did NOT like the fact that there was no way to completely close the curtains to stop the ambient light at night. Could not get the room completely dark. It was annoying when trying to go to sleep.

The rooms were not clean, beds not made, tissues in bed, shower head had pink mold around it. Had to change rooms and then second room wasn't clean either. Very expensive cost for this type of uncleaned property.

Better information sharing needed
I needed to rent a car from the airport and not being from Lynchburg or familiar with the Airport, I initially asked about a shuttle...I was immediately told no shuttle but here are the numbers for two taxi services. Took the taxi only to find out it was a two minute ride for a flat rate of $10. I would have loved to have been told I could walk there in 5 minutes. Almost seemed like the front desk girl worked for the taxi company!
