Overview of property
It is under renovation but we were in a old room. The pool and jacuzzi were closed, they no longer have a shuttle between properties and the internet is horrible. Service and hotel staff were excellent and very friendly. Restaurants had great food and some had good dealis.

My first time staying here and it was really great. I would stay again for sure. I loved Ping Pang Pong - the Chinese and Dimsum restaurant. All restaurants were honestly quite amazing. And all of the staff was super friendly. They have 24 hour food spots on site so that helped for late night munchies! It wasn’t too busy or packed at the hotel. The bowling alley was lots of fun! I’ve been to Vegas over 30 times and I will say it had quite a strong cigarette smell compared to other places. not enough for me to not come back, but if you’re sensitive to smoke, it might be stronger for you. Lastly, my bed was more on the firm side. It was still a really nice bed but if you’re not into firm beds, it might not be your favorite lol. overall, I would give it a 9.5 out of 10 for those really small things but it was truly a fantastic stay :)

We were in Vegas for a JAMZ cheer competition weekend and this hotel was recommended by the organization. The hotel is very old and outdated. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. There was a grape on the floor under our table and we didn’t have grapes. Who knows how long it was there. The carpet was absolutely filthy and there was a large red stain on the carpet near one of the beds. My 7 year olds review is “this hotel is trash” and I’d agree. I didn’t have high expectations but I was still disappointed.

Smokiest casino I’ve ever been in and that is saying a lot being a former smoker, people hotboxed their rooms on every floor, even though it has been updated, the rooms smell 60 years old . Food service at TGI Fridays was terrible even though fully staffed. Police command post was set up in the parking lot and 10 squad cars with cops had multiple people in hand cuffs, to top it all off, friends car was broken in to in the parking structure and security guard said child trafficking was a “real problem” at the hotel.

We have stayed at the Gold Coast before and will again because it's a great value however, it wasn't disclosed that half theor rooms were being remodeled, while not a major inconvenience, last year the bed was like sleeping and a cloud, this year the springs poked no matter the position.

Great staff but hotel was disappointing
The hotel is undergoing a renovation, so they might be fixing some of the problems that I experienced.
I would rate this hotel as a 2 1/2 star. There was no refrigerator in the room. The carpet was worn, and some of the fixtures were old. The faucet in the bathroom sink was stiff & difficult to operate. The faucet in the bathtub was crooked.
I had to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke in the casino in order to enter the nonsmoking hotel.
The staff that I dealt with were terrific - friendly and courteous. This included those at registration, the security guards, and housekeeping services.
It was January, & literally freezing outside. There was a sheet and one thin blanket on the bed. I froze the first night there, despite having the heater set at 76 degrees. I called housekeeping the next morning, & they brought me extra blankets, so I was OK the other nights, but it seems strange to have to ask when it's so cold.
The heater was extremely loud. I woke up every time it cycled on. And it tended to overshoot the mark, so I'd be too hot by the time it finished its cycle and too cold before it would come on again.
Security was excellent. I had to tap my keycard prior to the elevator, in the elevator to access the floor, and at the room. No concerns about unauthorized people in the area.
The location was convenient, but I think the resort fee was excessive, especially considering the condition of the hotel.

Rooms were very outdated, beds are not comfortable (super hard) and rooms are loud...hallway noise. If you get a room next to the elevator or "staff only" door ask to be moved immediately.

Dirty Room !!!!
It’s really a bad experience the room was so dirty don’t stay in this hotel the carpet was so dirty and smells bad.Why they let a family assigned a dirty room?I forgot my son’s eczema lotion and went back to get it but sad to say they didn’t put it in the lost and found.

Property is in the middle of Reno's. The smell from the casino makes its way up so even though you are in non smoking rooms.it feels like you have been smoking.

The 2 double-bed room is quite spacious. The toilet is separated from the wash basin and shower, which is convenient for a family.
Parking lot is huge and has ample spaces.
Location is convenient.
The hotel room's decoration seemed dates and was undergoing some renovation. For example, it did not have USB plugs as some of the newly remodeled hotels do. Also it did not have a lot of power outlets that are easily accessible. But for an overnight stay, it was good enough.

No carts for luggage. No shuttle to other properties. Pool closed. Hot tub closed. $2 beers advertised on signs but there were none.
Resort fees charged yet nothing worked that you are supposedly paying for with the resort fee. We won’t be back.

Hated will never go back we found a huge cockroach in our room when we told staff they didnt believe us and treated like they didnt care for a whole day i was on the phone with expedia to try get my money back it was by far the worst experience i had in las vegas. Emergency trip because of UNLV shooting.
Emergency trip to console granddaughter that attends UNLV because the shooting happened outside her dorm. The rooms were promoted as premium or deluxe. This room was neither. Our room stated it had a city view. I opened the curtain and saw a cement block wall. I asked and was told there are no rooms with a view. Only contact was with the front desk and security. Most were very polite and helpful. Our room was very outdated. It did appear that there may have been some remodeling in progress. Room was for sleep only, we didn't not eat in any of the restaurants or gamble at this casino. I would not stay here again.

The stay lat the Goldcoast is always fun. There were a couple of issues I had this time, one is the new carpet installation, they should have shut down the casino to install it. The second is the poor choices for meals. The buffet at this location was amazing in the past. If I leave the casino I spend my $ outside the Boyd network. Consider reopening the buffet!!

This is a decent place to stay if you want to avoid the crazy crowds on the strip. It was also nice to be able to go to the restaurants on the property without making reservations or waiting in lines. They were renovating when we stayed, so lots of that going on, but I suppose that can't be helped. Room and beds were very comfortable but I REALLY wish they had refrigerators and microwaves.

The property was better than I expected based upon the reviews that I read online. The staff was EXCELLENT! They are in the middle of renovations. I was in one of the newly renovated rooms and the carpet was nice, the color scheme was beautiful, the bed was comfortable as far as hotel beds go. The furniture could use a little updating but was still stylish. The slots were very agreeable!! Best of all there was FREE valet parking!!! My only issue was that free internet was not offered and I was not aware of that at the time of booking. I should have checked but since most hotels do offer that I assumed that this one did. Overall, I would definitely stay again as long as I don't need internet for anything!

It was a good stay. The room had a comfortable feeling and it was very clean and fairly quiet. I found out about an extra $100.00 fee at check-in though. Refundable in a few days. Not so great surprise. I'd stay there again but just be prepared for that.

This was a great stay. There were food places in walking distance. The location is off the strip because so you miss the hustle of that part of Vegas. The Uber and Lyft are affordable to the airport and surrounding areas.

Front desk and other staff were lovely. On-site parking was great. Great location for the price. Have to walk through very smokey casino to get to elevators and sometimes wait in a line to scan room key for a security guard. The smokey casino was the worst part and much worse than other casinos on the strip for this.
Rooms undergoing renovations - we were in the section yet to be renovated but headboard was visibly dirty and outlets in light did not work. Very dim lighting with odd set-up (likely better with renos). Two pillows for king bed - no extra blankets or pillows in room (could have asked for more - but this just seems basic). Overall- an okay option for the price compared to directly on the strip - but personally won't be coming back.

This property isn’t fit for the homeless people yet alone people that are paying close it it smells like it ashtray even the room smell like marijuana terrible. Terrible terrible and nobody care there they tell you to go somewhere else! Boyd gaming is not like it was when Sam ran it.

Great Place To Stay In Vegas!
Easy on-line check in and room was ready at 1030 AM (It was a mid week stay). Only odd thing about the room was there was an “L” scribbled on the wall of the bathroom and looks like it was attempted to remove it. Rooms are undergoing renovations so could be part of it. Overall great place to stay and very convenient self parking, big plus why I’ve stayed there many times.

No drinking water/basic condiments, etc in the room. We've been to many hotels around the world and this is the first time that there is no complimentary drinking water bottles provided, even on the first day.
We were not aware when we booked that the hotel is being repaired. The dust caused my allergies to flare up.
What was aggravating was the evening when water supply was cut off from midnight to morning. I and another guest went down to the front desk to ask if there is any kind of provision in the room due to the inconvenience and the lady (ie not a 'lady' at all, on my right when I was facing the desk) was so rude, abrupt and with no care shown snapped, "if u want water you buy it"... We had done that when we arrived but this time, as the inconvenience was caused by that overnight plumbing repair, we thought there wld be a bit of help to guests, etc, not mentioning the sleepless night we suffered through due to the loud and deafening noise that lasted till morning. At the very least, we shd get refunded for the inconvenience. It soured our 47th-anniv.-stay in Vegas. A bad experience over-all.

Was there for a bowling tournament. Should have known something was amiss when I checked in and was not told where to park, offered bell service to help with bags or even told how to get to my room. Was never offered a map. The hotel was under going renovations and it was dirty and musty. The room itself was small and outdated. Ordered room service from the TGIF down stairs and it never showed up. Went down to the Subway on the property and the clerk was less than interested in working and was then upset when I refused to tip because of the shoddy service. Overall I was really disappointed with my stay there. If not for the bowling tournament in the center, I would have left and found other lodging. Very disappointed

Very clean. The one drawback was while inside my room, i could hear the doors on my floor slamming loud when they were closed. Late into the night, interrupting sleep. Everything else about the very old hotel was good. Casino smelled like smoke though.

Decent Value
Hotel is a decent value for Vegas. Strip adjacent and only about a mile across to the center of the action. They were working on the hotel so there was some construction going on. Overall, fine place for a value stay, to sleep off the hangover, and get ready for another day.
