For my reservation I made sure I reserved a tub for a nice bubble bath but they didn’t end up having any even though I had booked one. Other than that it was a great hotel friendly staff good drinks at the bar pretty strong Times Square was so close by and taking the subway was easy to get up as well recommend for sure.

This was an extended stay so you can defer to my prior review. I’m not sure if I mentioned this in my prior email but this hoteł needs to improve it kitchen/restaurant offerings. I had two dinners and both were edible at best. The cheesesteak one night and the burger another night. Soft drinks from the fountain were really bad as well. Service was really good. But service does not pay the bill or eat the food.

The hotel offered no breakfast but charged extra $45 breakfast per kid per day regardless of age. It is not for family hotel with kids at all. More worse, the hotel did not provide an estimate when I checked in but later charged on $542 and then they raised it with Expedia charge of $700 when I showed the Expedia reservation. The hotel frontdesk was eager to rip off customer instead of the service. They overcharged me by $160 due to the unreasonable Expedia estimate. I'm not sure about Expedia. I hope I get back overcharged $160.

no bar of soap in our hotel room on any day (3 nights, 4 days.). They said to request bottled water for free. We did -- it never arrived. And the sheets were not 100% cotton, some synthetic fiber that was hot. But, great location. Nice staff. Clean.

Perfect location for everything.
Grand Central 5 minutes up the road.
5th Ave 7 minutes up the road.
Bryant Park 10 minutes.
Empire State 15 minutes.
Teenage daughter and I arrived at the hotel just before midnight on NYE, in enough time to join the lovely celebrations in the lobby. Our visit to NY was to mark the 1st anniversary of the passing of my husband at new year 2022 - he worked in the city and we wanted to visit his old haunts. The hotel went out of their way to make our visit extra special, given the circumstances, especially Irina on the front desk. We had a fantastic 5 day trip and the hotel made it for us - the small, thoughtful touches do matter!

Location, location, location! Everything is literally within walking distance. The staff has been great, professional and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable. I don’t think you will be disappointed with your stay at the Westin Grand Central.

Save yourself time and book already
This was our first trip as a family to NYC, and we chose The Westin because of past experiences elsewhere. The Westin NY Grand Central didn't disappoint! Excellent welcome at the front desk; complimentary drinks; quick response to request for blankets. The facilities were clean and up to date. Loved it! (The view of the Empire State building wasn't bad, either)

Easy access to subway. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Exceptional service storing luggage for checking in and checking out. One of the quietest hotels I ever stayed. Room was a great size for 4 adults too. Nice dresser space.

We had handprints on our mirrors and windows, hair on our pillows, dirty pillow cases. We were placed in a handicap room a trail of water or something on our carpet. We had two rooms booked both with similar issues. For the amount of money we paid it was completely unacceptable.
When we complained the front desk seemed bothered and moved us to different rooms no apologies given. Terrible experience

Awesome stay!
I purposely selected a hotel that wasn’t directly in the middle of Times Square, just not wanting to be in the fray of the NYE festivities, but it is definitely in walking distance. Also, very close to grand central station. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We received meal vouchers for each day of our stay which could also be used for drinks at the bar.

Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a few persistent issues initially with housekeeping which was annoying but the manager went over and above to try to sort them out. We stayed at a particularly busy time which was part of the problem. Overall we were satisfied and had a great time

Late December visit with kids
The hotel was not overly impressive but just ok, both in facilities and service (until our last day, see end of review). The hotel is in a convenient location but not quite as close to a subway as I thought it would be. It was very busy around the hotel all the time. The small lobby was always completely full of people with luggage and I could hear honking and sirens all night in my room on the 10th floor. Check-in was fine- it went quickly but the desk agent was not friendly or welcoming.
The elevators were usually quick although twice during our stay there was an elevator not working which slowed things down.
I've read that the rooms were recently updated but I don't know if they all were or just some. Our room did not appear to be recently updated but was fine. There is no mini-fridge in the room but you can request one. It will not have a freezer part in it. There were 2 double beds even though the room had room for 2 queens. They were not especially comfortable (lumpy) and the linens were not very soft. The bathroom was very simple but clean other than some mildew in the corner of the ceiling over the shower.
The market wasn't open in the late afternoons/early evening b/c that area was taken over by the restaurant.
Both of our kids got very sick on our last day and the desk agent was extremely kind and extended our check out and let us stay until we were able to leave which was very kind- the highlight of our stay in terms of service!

The staff was extremely helpful and polite. Mr. Thomas at the front desk went out of his way to help us. The hotel is across the street from the 7 Train/Grand Central subway station which was very convenient. There is also a CVS nearby.

I remain confused and disappointed about this stay. Three issues wit the stay as starters:
1. The Reception staff was simply disinterested in offering service. I heard three of them highlight how close they were to their shifts ending while trying to check in.
2. My room type was changed and no effort was made to offer an upgrade. If anything, I was downgraded.
3. The linens have seen their best days. Like they saw them 30 years ago. The rooms are very dated and filthy. Simply gross.
The worst part—An open email from hotel mgmt about proper elevator use and etiquette when their elevators broke down one morning stranding people for upwards of 45 mins. The email’s tone was unapologetic, defensive, and embarrassing. Own your problem and make customers whole. That’s directed at you, Mr. Sinclair.
I am hopeful someone at Bonvoy or elsewhere will contact me to make this right, but I can’t say I have high hopes. Who knows maybe they’ll notice my affiliation as a member of the executive team for a top 10 convention in the US. Feel free to reach out whenever you want.

The staff was very helpful. The servers in the restaurant were delightful. The meals were great. We came at the tail end of breakfast. Make sure you get there early for hot food and the best selection. The hotel was convenient to Grand Central Station but there were always taxis, Ubers or Lyft within just a few minutes away.

Solid stay but needs updating.
It was fine but you guys have to figure out the voucher system when there are long lines. I get that it’s not all the time, but when you’re at capacity, please figure out the line better. Add tables? Encourage take back to room and grab/go? The elevators were also an issue but not sure what you can do in that. Staff was GREAT. Room clean and tidy.

Amazing customer service! Room and view exceeded our expectations and it was ready when we arrived. Super friendly desk staff, housekeeping, bellman. Couldn’t ask for more. Would definitely stay again. Room was huge for NYC standards. Alex at the front desk is my new NYC BFF and deserves all the good things! Such a sweet person.

They should just be clear about how the parking works. Description said self-parking or valet, but the self wound up being hybrid-valet and there was confusion when leaving. So I'd recommend just going with the valet - saw no signs they weren't parking anywhere but the on-site garage. But in the end we paid what was expected. Also - there was a woman next door being too enthusiastic (ok screaming) for hours in the middle of the night (1-5), and they should have done something about that when we reported it, but did not. I'm sure that's rare - but big strike for that kinda $$$$. So can't give an excellent; I'm sure others the same night on some other floor could have.

The Westin is a convenient hotel just a block and a half from Grand Central. There is no vending on site so you can purchase drinks and snacks at the nearby CVS.

This was our second visit to Westin Grand Central. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent and immaculate. Our room was not clean when we went in. All the leftover food from the previous guest was still in the fridge. I had to ask 3 separate times throughout the day for the food to be removed. Towels also had stains on them. Besides the dirty and outdated room, the lobby is beautiful and the location is great. Staff in the lobby area were also friendly and helpful.

Amazing hotel experience
Mybstay and this hotel were top notch. Allowing us to check in early, answering any and all our questions, and all staff extremely friendly. The hotel felt very safe and was a great location for what we had planned. It was blocks away fro. The bus concord bus stop, walki g distance to all the best shopping, Rockefellar Center, Music City and Times square. Many nice restaurants, cafes and healthier eating choices all around. The close by farmers market was amazing as well!!! We had time between check out and our bus departure and the hotel was more than happy and willing to keep our luggage while we had a final meal before leaving! A great experience and will be returning on our next trip to NYC!

Wick walk from Grand Central Station. Airy lobby w staff right there to greet us. Offered early check in — so nice! Starbucks and food right there. So easy Sunday morning. (Using the coupons for free coffee was great.)
Checked 15 bags for the day with the bellman after we checked out. What a breeze.
Bathrooms great. Rooms smallish but all we needed, and the beds super comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful and clean property. Upgraded to 29th floor for free and had the view of Chrysler Building. Comfortable bedding. Staff was amazing..everyone had a smile on their face, said hello and made sure you had everything you needed and were comfortable. Got vouchers for a free breakfast in the hotel restaurant as well as a couple of drinks at the bar which my husband and I enjoyed. Hotel is in a great location! In the center of everything! Times Square and Rockefeller Center about 15 minute walk. Right next to Grand Central station if you want to take the subway otherwise Taxis and Ubers everywhere longer distance away. Cant say enough great things about this place but definitely highly recommend.

After catching the red eye from Vancouver and arriving at the Westin at 9:00 am, the staff at the front desk was able to get us into a room right away where we promptly had a much-needed 3 hour nap. The beds were super comfortable, and the room was clean. What more could you ask. Loved our stay.

The hotel is very well located. Not closed neither far from Times Square. Closed to Bryant Park with the ice rink!
The room was clean and enough large for 3 people.
Despite a message sent the day before our arrival to be sure the sofa bed would be ready for my daughter (we arrived at 8:30pm), they made a mistake giving us a room with luggage inside!! Coming back to the frontdesk, they changed the room, came to prepare the sofa bed and gave us a gift card for free drinks at the bar. So kind!
