The property is in a good spot. Right off interstate 25. Close to restaurants. Needs some updates. There were kids there for a trip that I felt could have been quieter. I was on the 7th floor and it seemed a little loud.
I shouldn’t hear anything for that price unless there is a casino involved.

The indoor/ outdoor pool was mostly outdoor. The room we stayed in blew hot air no matter what the temperature was set at. The room was extremely hot stuffy with no windows that opened. The maintenance guy came after our second complaint (we were told he would come the first time and no one came). He was friendly and worked hard to get the problem fixed. It seemed like it did for a short while. By that time it was late and we were ready to leave the next morning. I had to use ice packs we brought to be able to sleep both nights we stayed.

The restaurant and food was pretty good. However the rooms are very outdated and worn. Also it's very petty to charge $10 for parking.

This hotel was clean, had very friendly staff, and security in the parking lot. Only downside was the ice machine wasn’t working and some of the wallpaper/drywall was peeling off and had water damage. Would stay here again though.

For our 1st room we had 2 full beds which were very old and worn out. I'm tall and there is no way i would have fit on a kid bed. I did request to queen beds but didn't get that. All they had was a king bed and brought a roll out mattress which we had to deal with. Once in the 2nd room heater didn't work. Maintenance came fixed it and told us if it gets hot just turn it off and open the window. No guarantee it was going to turn back on. Left heat on all night so we wouldn't get cold in the early morning. 6am was hot and sweaty, gross!!

Comfy bed but could use some updates
This place is fine but it really needs some updating. The sink was draining slow, the toilet ran if you didn’t jiggle the handle and everything was so noisy: the fridge & the a/c both made loud knocks all through the two nights that I stayed there. I sleep with thunderstorms and I still was woken up by these noises. Also it was inconvenient to not have anywhere to plug usbs to charge. That being said I will probably stay here again because my work holds an event here each year and it is convenient for that and the bed is comfy.

Staff, service, and location were great! Lobby area may be updated; however, the room and everything above the lobby is outdated except for the large flat screen in the room. Toilet was loose, carpet in the hallway was duct taped, and the rug in our room had a large whole not sure why. I believe that the price I paid for this room was due to location especially because it was during the Hot Air Balloon Festival. I have always stayed at Marriott and I was very surprised about the condition of the rooms, hallways, and other areas outside the lobby.

Hectice check in, nice stay overall
The check in was hectic, and frustrating after a long flight, we just wanted to rest. Lorena helped us, first she said they didn't assign me a room and there were no more so they had to find one, and they needed a manager, okay??? Then she finally gets us in and tells me we are on the 3rd floor, as she proceeds to write a room number on a card, then she says to wait because there is a problem with my room, after a while she says we are now on the 4th floor, so, we proceed to the 4th floor, but when we get there, the card says "Room 302", we go back down, she forgot to write the new room number, so now we go to the 4th floor, the room is at the furthest corner it could be, and what happens, it's not clean. At this point my 72 year old mom, and 73 year old cousin are tired, I leave them there and go back downstairs, so now they give us another room on the 5th floor, so there I go to get my family from the 4th floor, haul them to the 5th floor, needless to say it was hectic. Aside from that we enjoyed the rest of the stay, but that was not a good first impression for the hotel.

Star bucks was not available(advertising signage was still up) ice machine broke in our wing. Main fountain wasnt in operation. Faucet in our room sprayed all over. Pool area was a big let down! Only 2 chairs in inside area. Parking fee each night when rates are already expensive enough!!!

Decent place to stay, not eat
Location was convenient to the Balloon Fiesta and for extra money we chose to ride the chartered bus directly from the hotel to the Fiesta. The only drawback to that is that it operates on a fixed time schedule 6am pickup and 9:30 am return. The other park n ride services offer multiple busses. The Pyramid has a menu restaurant, but don't count on it for decent food. They offer a nice looking breakfast buffet, but it's not tasty either. Dry, bland, and cold coffee. Some of their younger servers are not really there to work, others are. There's plenty of Albuquerque restaurants ~ try theminstead! Enjoy all Albuequerque has to offer 'away' from the hotel. The hotel is just for rest.

Hotel is located north of Albuquerque. Not very close to old town or downtown but it was perfect for those who wants to be close to balloon fiesta park.From the room we have, we could even watch the balloons rising.
Open buffet breakfast was rich and reasonably priced ($19.95 tax per person). On the other hand, we are charged $10/night for parking. It was quite surprising to get charged for parking in a open space lot.
Overall recommend to everyone...

Not very clean
This hotel was a fun idea for the kids because its a pyramid right? Well you walk in and it is very cool looking and the furniture in the lobby was nice and updated. The kids also liked the glass elevators. Then we get to the room and it looked like black was smugged on the walls and the beds were the worst I've ever slept on. It felt like a queen sized mattress on a full sized base. You had to stay as close to the middle as possible or you felt like you were going to roll off. The bathroom sink had a big crack in it and it definitely felt like corners were cut with cleaning the room. The mattresses werent pushed all the way up to the wall and when we went to push them up there was hair and crumbs in between it and the wall. My husband didnt even want to lay down. The most disappointing part was paying almost 400 for one night because it was during the Balloon Fiesta. The only thing that made it worth it was we happen to be facing the balloon fiesta park and got to wake up to 100 hot air balloons out our window.

The service at the front desk was just rude from the start. They didn’t take kindly to third party bookings. I asked for a blanket to be delivered twice and it just never came. The hotel itself was just loud making it difficult to sleep. I’ve stayed at Marriott a lot all over the country and this location was the most disappointing by far.

The stay overall, was great. We were accommodated for an early check - in after a long drive. It was greatly appreciated! One suggestion would be to have at least some type of charger port/ connection device available, other than just a wall plug. For the price, and the era we are in, I would expect that at any establishment.

And honestly, this is not my first time at the hotel I highly recommend it is a great place to stay in Albuquerque. However, the room that was provided had one of the worst views I’ve ever seen at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at my view was that of air handler‘s, air conditioning and exhaust pipes I was surprised to see that the hotel, while busy was far from very busy and I would’ve expected them to provide a better option regarding the room.

Worn out and dirty with friendly staff at desk.
This hotel is very run down, the first room we had when you ran the sink in the bathroom, water came up through the floor. They moved us the next day. Second room was dirty and worn out. Drew at front desk was very helpful and did all he could. Everyone at front desk was super nice and accommodating. Breakfast staff was rude and disinterested in any kind of service. I would not stay here again.

I wasn't very happy with this property. The beds were uncomfortable, the decor was dated, there was mold in the shower, there was no soap for the sink and there was no shower gel the entire stay.

Not what I expected
The hotel is overall was decent. Is on the older not updated side. Bathroom wasn’t as clean as it should have been, AC really never adjusted on temp and house keeping was out of soap (thankfully we had a bar of our own soap).

Pyramid Marriott in a hand basket
Ambulances in front on arrival lobby filled with first responders could not check in no bath soap in dispenser to low toilets. Elevators broken and out of service. Ac broken. Plaster and fallen ceiling in ice area. No notification to use service elevator to leave late for my work appt due to check out delay. Buffet breakfast cold eggs hash browns and bacon.

We will not be staying here again, which is sad because we usually have a good experience when we visit. This time was highly inconvenient. After a long day of traveling, we finally made it to the hotel. We got checked in and were given keys. Us with toddler in tow we’re ready to unwind however when we got up to the room, the key cards wouldn’t work. We go back down wait in the long check in line, again, we’re escorted TPT he room again with new keys. Still not working, (restaurant closing in a hour) we’re told they would have the battery on the door changed out within 5minutes. Did occur, yet cards still did not work. Again had to stay in the room or wait in line to be escorted again. So we waited and then had to go back to the desk ask what to do now?! Can we get a new room? “Let me get this phone call then we can figure this out” husband waits, ended up returning to then wait again. I go downstairs again (only 1 elevator working on our side) Was told to go to restaurant because kitchen closes in 10minutes!! So toddler and I do that, husband came down with all our stuff, again. We did move rooms into an upgraded suite, however we lost the 2 beds and went to just 1 and what do we need a suite for at 1030-11pm? Then sink had a leak under it, tub had hair along the sides of it. Will not recommend or be back!

Staff was great! Pull out couch had lots of crumbs leftover from previous occupants. TV remote didn’t work. Had an ugly view of the 1st floor’s roof, air vents, dead branches, and birds nest (we stayed in 2nd).

My family (w/ 2 little kids) had a nice night here. The pool was lovely (albeit a little crowded and a tad cloudy by the end of a long, hot day)… we thought dinner and breakfast in the lobby restaurant were great and service there was excellent. The main bedroom in our suite was very comfortable and the bed and linens were great. They were VERY accommodating to my dog.
Only two constructive criticisms are that 1) the LR pull out sofa in our king 1bd suite was so warped with very pronounced springs, I felt guilty having my kids sleep on it… if they had weighed any more than 50 lbs this would not have been possible for them, ie adults could not sleep on there, and 2) the design and furnishings of the bedrooms has not held up… everything was very clean and spacious and well appointed, just very, very dated decor. I would definitely stay here again for a night if I need to while I still have small light-weight kids and a dog…

Worst hotel we have stayed at in Albuquerque. Customer service was very rude and not helpful at all. To many hidden fees. They charge 20 dollars for parking and had most of the park lot closed . Beds were very uncomfortable seems they haven’t changed them out in years . Only one elevator was working. The pool was closed for over 2 hours for who knows what. We informed manager and all she could say was I’m sorry. Hopefully they can make changes because it was not worth the money we paid. I rate this hotel a 1 out of 5. Never going there again.

Staff giving wrong direction, paying parking fee to stay the night, water to the toilet was turned off, the breakfast was an apple and coffee; or pay $20 for breakfast from the kitchen. Overall definitely feel the experience is really over price !

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was excellent, the rooms were clean, the green chili stew was awesome!!
The only disappointing thing was the the water fall was not operating. I had stayed there back in the late 80’s and remember the fall. All in all an excellent stay. Thank you

Unprofessional, blame third party booking and did nothing about several complaints. Not a heated pool, not central air, not double beds with a suite that I booked. Tree sap covered car, 13 moth's in room. Dogs barking all night. $10 a night parking.

I like this property and have stayed there many times. In a recent effort to better "monetize" guests, they have established a $20 early check-in fee. While I appreciate the desire to maximize per-guest revenue, it's akin to the 'resort fees' one sees in Las Vegas and other vacation spots. Unfortunately this isn't Las Vegas, it's Albuquerque. There are many local competing properties which don't have this upcharge.

Rooms are dated by far. AC didn't work well, they sent maintenance to look at it but issue was never resolved. Tv remote didn't work sheets were stained. Despite the room issues the overall property was nice.

The carpet was wrinkled in the room, one of the sinks took upward of 3 minutes to drain, the pillows were terrible and seemed like old feather pillows, the bed was uncomfortable, the coffee pot had old brown residue in it.
Except for the size of the room it was a very disappointing stay.
On top of that, there was a convention with what looked like high school kids and there was not enough elevator capacity and we had to wait at least 15 minutes to get an elevator to the 8th floor.

Great hotel, pricey breakfast buffet not worth it.
Room was clean and nice. The carpet was ripped in a few places. Pool was clean and plenty of towels both days which was nice. The only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. The waffles were extremely hard and the biscuits were soggy. Then we got the bill, $20 a person for a breakfast buffet that was limited! You should get some kind of discount if you are a guest because we could have went 5 minutes down the road to Golden Corral for less than that and 4x the choices. Hotel was great, restaurant not so much.

I really liked this hotel but the walls were very thin and I could hear every movement in the room next to me. Not to mention this weird sound coming from inside the wall (like banging pipes?) that kept me up all night. And last- our toilet would make the weirdest gurgling sounds when no one had used it. Aside from those things- staff was incredibly kind, the hotel is clean, and has an abundance of amenities.
