Great location, walkable to many of the sights, nightlife, restaurants, etc
A lot of cheaper parking around the hotel as an alternative to expensive hotel valet parking. ($40 vs $55)
Good buffet (continental) breakfast.

It's okay but security and parking an isse
Polite staff and polite valet drivers but a bit disappointed to find out valet parking is your only option and it's $63 per night with tax. Hotel definitely a bit pricey for what you get. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was solid but of course plastic cutlery, paper plates. Feels very cheap and lots of waste. Also security is an issue. You'll get accosted right outside the hotel and asked for money. There is no security at the hotel in the lobby. One guy wandered into the lobby barfeoot and was yelling until the valets were able to get him to leave. Anyone can ride up in the elevator to any floor, you don't have to swipe your room key for your floor. This is very outdated and not secure. I won't be back.

Convenient location downtown Austin. Most attractions within walking distance. Very clean and maintained. The breakfast buffet included was well stocked and eating area policed by staff. Very quiet compared to some other reviews I’d read for similar priced places. First stay at Hampton Inn and Suites will definitely try them again if all are similar to this one. Several good steakhouses within walking distance. We were in town for show at Paramount Theater nice easy leisurely walk from hotel. On return was able to stroll down sixth street which had been closed off to traffic. We strolled down street to listen to all the different live music coming from the many clubs. The only small hiccup was i self parked and should have used the valet. It cost me the same and I wouldn’t have had to drag our bags to elevator and around to lobby entrance. It will cost you about $45.00 dollars a night to park but worth it. They have app that you just tap and they bring up car. I will definitely stay there again and recommend to friends

we loved everything about the room and the facility. the breakfast was as good as you'd expect for an "included with your stay" breakfast. Used the gym a couple times, it was also good. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Only weird thing was there was a faint, funky "sewer" kind of smell in the bathroom. Couldn't place were it was coming from. Obviously from one of the drains as the bathroom itself was spotless. It just built up in the bathroom if you kept the door closed.

On the second day of my stay I started noticing water leaking from the shower and coming out of the bathroom on the bedroom floor, I informed the staff about it and it was fixed but then later in the night started noticing leakage from the faucets and under the sink. Definitely needs some maintainence. Otherwise staff was very kind and location is prime.

The hotel valet was full and guests were told to find their own parking. We had to park at a different hotel’s garage and paid more for parking than we did for the hotel room.

The gentleman at the front desk struggled to enter my information and get me checked in in a timely manner. Then he got a bit snippy when we didnt guve him out undivided attention although i had to spell out the last names of each guest multiple times

Mixed feeling
You have to valet your car, which unfortunately cost $65/day. Would have been great info to know beforehand. Rooms were clean though! The coffee at the free breakfast was awful. Lots of places to eat nearby though!

The property itself is in a good area and close to several restaurants. It is in walking distance to pretty much everything you could desire.
Upon arrival I was pretty disappointed. The self parking consists of street parking or public garage parking which is probably cheaper but not necessary better. They have Valet parking which is outrageous they charged $55.00 tax per day. and THAT is ridiculous.
The room itself was nice and had plenty of space. My box spring though had a huge stain on it which if I wouldn't have checked under the mattress I would have never seen. I have a phobia of bed bugs and ALWAYS check everything prior setting anything down in ANY hotel. But besides the stain on the box spring everything was nice and clean. Bathroom was nice they provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion in 16 oz containers. which get refilled when low. The products provided have a clean smell and are actually pretty decent. no drying of skin or hair.
The hotel was quiet and their breakfast buffet was plentiful. Staff appeared to be nice and knowledgeable. Besides the whole parking situation it was a good stay.

Stayed here for two nights for a work trip.
Location: The location is very central, close to the convention center and walkable to Rainey Street and 6th street.
Room: The room was clean and what you would expect from a hotel. Nothing really stands out in terms on amenities but it's all there as you would expect.
Food: Breakfast was included and they had three waffle machines that made different shapes and two different types of batter.
Other: Might have been a temporary issue but the elevators were slow. I actually think that only one was working the time I was there. Not great or ideal if you were hoping to get up to your room or down to the lobby in a short period of time.
Overall: Think for the price it was a fine place to stay in downtown austin.

Nice but…..
The room was nice. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable and the bedding was hot and heavy. There were some unwanted insects (ant on the bathroom counter and flying insects on the ceiling). Still managed to enjoy the stay.

Everything was pretty much perfect. Only two thngs. One elevator would get "stuck". You get in, press the button, the door would close, then the door would open. You would have to get out, wait for that elevator to leave and then call another elevator. The other item was the air conditioning. Hard to explain. It worked find but didn't have a very high speed fan... It would cool the room but not quickly.

Really appreciated the mini fridge, sink, and microwave. Fold-out couch, desk w chair, and comfy side-chair w reading lamp also made the space feel roomy and multi-use. Grateful for washer & dryer availability on Floor 5,… got a big load done before check-out, which will make unpacking much easier once home.

Was looking for a hotel close to dirty 6th, this was a 7 min walk. Hotel was nice and clean and quiet. My cousin enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Valet is the only expensive thing, $50 a night. Overall a wonderful stay for a quick weekend trip!

Place was well worth every dollar spent , from the moment we walked in the front desk staff were very helpful. They even let us check in early which was so awesome . Everything in hotel was very clean from gym facilitie to the pool . Really liked how every floor had complimentary water next to ice machine . The breakfast was actually good compared to other continental breakfast we had in the past . The room was perfect , bed was comfy . The blinds in the room can really turn the room dark if your looking to nap during the day . We would definitely stay here again !

Great front desk and valet service the first day of the stay! Lovely suite! AC ducts and filter need cleaning as air quality was not up to par. Coffee was bad. Very clean room, lobby and elevator. Phenomenal ATX location. Great walking distance from cool venues. Front desk service on 2nd day was disappointing…not friendly or helpful.

The property was lovely and very well kept. Rooms were nice and clean and comfortable. They had good breakfast options and a nice patio you could sit outside while eating. The gym had a good amount of equipment and was clean and in good shape. Wish there was an option to self-park on the property since the hotel was expensive enough and $60/night for valet is a bit steep. The valet did point us in the direction of a parking garage that was only $25/night. This was our first time in Austin so we were surprised to see so many homeless people in the area, but we never had any issues and it felt safe enough to walk around, even walk back to the hotel at night. Overall a great experience and would stay again.

Hotel was in a great location, rooms are very large and comfortable. Very clean. Overall impressed with the space. Disappointed the TVs are not smart TVs, so had to watch TV channels which didn’t always have what I preferred to watch. No way to call the front desk from your room. I directory in the room.

We were only in town for one evening and booked a standard king. When we arrived the receptionist told us they had over booked and we were being upgraded.. to the presidential suite on the 16th floor. The room was wonderful, just wish we had more time to enjoy it! Easy walking everywhere. Valet parking was quick. We will definitely return.

I didn't like that I booked the room with workout equipment in it, however when I checked in to the front desk, nothing but an ADA, double queen was available. So the reason I booked this hotel was void.

On the morning after I arrived I found a pizza crust under my bed. I didn't want to pick it up with my bare hands so I kicked it under one of the chairs. Housekeeping was done a day later and it turns out the pizza crust was still there which makes me believe the room was not thoroughly cleaned. Staff was very amiable. Breakfast was good and location was good.

Nice location; quiet sleep
We stayed here for a three day weekend. We had a king size bed corner room. The hotel is very walkable to Sixth Street, South Congress bridge, and other parts of downtown Austin. I appreciated that it was close to nightlife, but not directly a part of it. There wasn’t a lot of outside noise late into the night like at some other downtown hotels. Also because there’s restaurants and valet nearby it felt safe to walk later at night. The room was clean and felt recently updated. The pillows and towels could be nicer quality though.

Very nice place to stay. Hotel was very nice and clean. Decent breakfast. It was very cold when we went and they had a Hot Water station set out to make hot chocolate and tea but the water was not hot. Coffee ran out in the morning. Parking is hard to find if you don't want to pay a $60 valet

The hotel well situated at the heart of Austin downtown. Walking from all main attractions. The hotel itself is nice, friendly staff, rooms are in excellent condition. The only thing is that they do not clean only after 4 days. Still you can get fresh towels per request.

Couple weekend for comedy show
This is a great hotel. Awesome, walkable location, nicely designed, great service, safe area. We had a late check in w/ no problems, check out is noon and they held our bags for us due to later flight. Continental breakfast is sizeable for sure. We had king, very spacious, fridge, good lighting. Bed was comfortable. The ONLY complaint is that the pillows were like soggy French fries. LOL!
