Most of the Staff was extremely helpful
Except for one front desk clerk who probably thought she could treat customers as she pleased
There where plenty of rooms available at check in but she made us wait until she was ready and the gave us the room furthest from the front entrance
Knowing We had our hands full with luggage

We stayed in Room 229 and could hear someone creaking on the floor above us. It sounded like the ceiling was going to crash down. The staff was friendly and the accommodations were nice.

Sadly not a good pick despite high star rating. Very, very loud room near the parking lot and exit door. Thin ceilings and so much noise. Bath tub had no stopper so you could not use it. The beds were very uncomfortable. The buffet was disappointing. The staff was friendly and responsive. The rooms were spacious. Definitely would not stay here again.

I reserved two twin beds but we got the King bed sofa bed. We arrived the hotel around 9 and had a 6Am flight to catch next morning. I looked for front desk and was told that no twin beds were left. We were given a king suit with two big “vents” or something outside, which was very very loud and it was running and making big noise all night! In the morning, I was told that reservation was done through 3rd party. No room type was guaranteed. So be careful with this Hotel. The staff & service are terrible. When room was reserved, room type must be selected and it impacts the price! twin bed room was available upon my reservation then my reservation was supposed to be valid! It was my first terrible experience with a hotel stay during years! Be careful about this hotel! You may want to call to confirm your room type in advance and ask for documentation as they don’t take the reservation from 3rd party!! Also, ask for avoiding the noisy vents outside! Room211! Avoid this terrible room!!! Staff is not friendly and didn’t put any effort to help!! Very disappointing experience!

A delightful stay
This was a delightful stay! The appearance of the hotel is not what you expect of Hilton but our stay exceeded expectations! From the reception staff through the room amenities, the bar tender and the tasty simple dinner, to the shuttle driver, we were completely satisfied. Thank you.

Stay away! Worst experience ever!
There is nothing “exceptional” about this place. With so many choices by Sky Harbor, this would be the bottom of the list.
First, the room was stuffy and we couldn’t regulate the temp and had to shut the unit off. The carpet was filthy, the hallways- and to a lesser extent-room smelled like cigarette smoke.
Then came breakfast. There was no signage saying the breakfast was $13.95 pp. I’ll was terrible quality but that is beside the point. Other guests were surprised at the charge ado since it looked like any other complimentary breakfast buffet- overcooked egg and bacon and gross sausages. We ate it because we thought it was included in the room otherwise we would not have.
Only after I complained did they put up a sign saying the breakfast cost. Very deceptive.
I’ve traveled extensively, stayed in many, many hotels and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had in a long long time. I will NEVER stay at a Hilton property again- and certainly not this one. I’m telling family and friends who fly in and out of Phoenix to avoid this place like the plague!

We paid to park our car for the week while we traveled to Florida. I parked in the wrong area and during that week the car was towed away for reseal of the parking lot. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly and kept a calm demeanor through the entire ordeal, which helped me stay calm and collected. i commend them for that!

Our room was not cleaned properly before we got there. Found items in room you should never find in a hotel room. Some items in room did not work properly. on the other hand, they were great to give me a free dessert and wine for my birthday.

We arrived and the room was freezing, and the wall control didn't work. Had to get engineering in and run off the device directly. The room was an odd mix: hall and room looked somewhat shabby and beat up, but the bathroom and long counter unit looked very modern and nice (modulo the dated bathtub perhaps). The shower was great, as was the front desk. The area was sketchy starting a few blocks over.

I enjoy the Hilton properties, I always enjoy where ever I stay. Just a suggestion though, wish you would upgrade your tissue and toilet paper, quite rough. Other than that, I'm glad to be a Hilton honors member!

quiet and near the airport
Flickering bathroom light was disturbing. Light over one bed did not work, and the outlet for the coffee maker did not work. But the room was comfortable and quiet, so the annoyances were relatively small. The location is convenient to the airport.

Room smelled weird. Was not fresh when i walked in. I just expected more from hilton. My feet were sticking to the carpet.
The bed and sheets were clean. I liked checkout being at noon. Bed was soft.

I would like to start out by saying I went to the Hilton Garden Inn on Van Buren st first by accident. The woman behind the counter was rude and informed us that this always happens when typing in the hotel instead of the address, since they have 2 locations close to each other. The woman was not willing to assist us at all.
Once we arrived where we we’re supposed to be everything was PERFECT, everyone was kind and willing to help with anything, the rooms were clean and spacious, the shuttle to the airport was easy to schedule and they drop you off at your entrance.

The hallways and elevator were very hot! The room air conditioner was not enough to cool the room. Laid in bed a sweated all night! The only place it was cool was directly in front of the air conditioning unit.

The front desk staff were both excellent and efficient. They went above and beyond to accommodate special requests. Airport shuttle was also prompt and convenient. The room was large and with rainforest shower head and great pressure. Onsite restaurant and bar was perfect and allowed us to return rental car early and stay on property for dinner.

I booked one night thru travelocity in error. We showed up at the hotel and we were given a room BUT the hotel staff person told me I needed to cancel my original date thru travelocity. When I called Travelocity, they told me I needed to cancel thru the hotel. BACK to the HOTEL and they told me I had to cancel thru travelocity. I had to pay for BOTH nights because no one would help me.

The food service was horrible … we sent our food back and it was returned cold and inedible.
The service was slow and people were complaining. One lady had her bill forgiven but not us. I paid $33 for 2 meals we couldn’t eat.
Shameful!!!!
The airport transportation was acceptable but the Van used was definitely not designed for disabled or elderly folks like us.
At least the bed was comfortable.

Poorly maintained hotel
Check in was pleasant enough. 1st room- 2 out of 2 tv remotes did not work, bathroom light did not work. 2nd room- window shades would not open, switch rooms AGAIN! 3rd room- bathroom fan did not turn on but we stayed in this room. Overall hotel poorly maintained, room not clean to most standards. Hot tub was green! Much nicer places for the same money.

OK hotel stay
I booked this stay based off of other amazing reviews and just didn’t have the same experience as everyone else. The bed hurt my back so badly I had them deliver multiple comforters to add some layers for sleep. Our room wasn’t the cleanest and obviously hadn’t been vacuumed or thoroughly cleaned in some time. Bathroom was really clean though and the shower probably had the best water pressure we’ve ever experienced! Breakfast options were meh, but the customer service in that area was really nice. Front desk staff was kind of stand offish, but they did meet all of our expectations and needs when requested. We had to book this stay last minute and the price just wasn’t worth the quality. If you can get this hotel at a reasonable rate and are comfortable with a 2-3 star hotel, it might be worth it to you to stay here!
