The bed frame was busted so the bed sank in. The room smelled like smoke and the guest services clerk had to open the door for everyone on the property as their key maker quit.

The architecture's exterior reflects the "Grand" part of the name, whereas the interior has been remodeled over the years to reflect a generic chain hotel design. The staff was friendly, the outdoor pool heated (it snowed while i was there), and the price seems to be accurately affordable.

The heating unit was loud and bothersome which interrupted our sleep all through the night. The key machine was broken and the receptionist had to let all guests into their room overnight. Not a good experience.

No elevator!
My 2 traveling companions and I are over 67 years old. We were told there were no first floor rooms available and put on the 2nd floor with no elevator. The next day we studied the breakfast and lunch room activities and could clearly see the hotel was no where near full. Apparently booking online gets you the worst rooms, in our case no elevator. We have stayed here for 3 years not, but can no longer climb the stairs with our luggage. Won't be back.

Dead were nicer in Tombstone!
From the start of check in felt like we were an inconvenience to the front desk lady. She made sure to let us know they were overbooked and a good chance we wouldn’t have our two night book because we booked on hotels.com. First night people partying super loud, running up and down the hall, and knocking on doors and yelling. Same front desk lady at 2AM stated sleeping guest don’t matter and she won’t stop people having fun. Dirty carpets, Dirty drapes, comforter had black spots on it.

Beds should to be replaced, they have dips where people lay, and sheets are a bit thin. Everything else about the hotel is very good. Room amenities are very good. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I will stay here again.

This is a nice property. Mattress was horrible in my room. Doors open backwards. Must lift handle up and not down when entering room door and external doors.

It was nice and clean but I was hoping for a few other options like the pool and hot tub being available. We were told by the front desk that the pump was out on the hot tub, which I do understand happens, but it was jut a let down and the pool had lots of leaves in it and didn't look very clean. Also when we got there, we had to wait awhile to check in because no one was at the front desk, then when she did show to check us in, she was not very nice at all. She almost acted like we were an inconvenience. But, I will say the hotel was at least clean and cozy and wasn't bad for a one night stay. If we were staying longer, I would have wanted something with a few more perks to have while staying at the hotel like a lobby with some music and maybe small bar or just the pool looking more clean so you feel comfortable swimming in it. The pictures were definitely deceiving because I was hoping for just a little better, but...not bad for a night.

The hotel was nice and not to far from the Tombstone activities. The problem I had was the comfort of the bed was terrible, you can feel the springs in your back. The breakfast served was very limited and very carb friendly, not many healthy choices. Also tried to get information from the front one day and no one responded to bell at the front desk for over 5 minutes.

Recieved an email couple weeks beforehand and was so excited to stay here with my 2 grandsons but the staff had no clue about any of the activities that were listed in the email for example family night bingo, live music just different things they offered because the town of Tombstone closes up at night, alao the beds were broken, which we did report immediately and the staff said ya thwy are all like that, the staff was nice, the breakfast was decent, the rooms were clean, just disappointed for my grandkids as thwy were excited about the nightly activities

We were checked in by David. He was very nice and when he said we were on the 2nd floor and there were no elevators I told him I hurt my leg when I fell at the lake and was there any chance of a 1st floor room? He was so KIND. He looked and looked for a room and then rekeyed the card to the downstairs room. What a kind young man and so empathetic. When we returned to the room after checking out Tombstone, we couldn't make the TV work. It took a while (as he was all alone on the front desk I think) but he came and tried everything. Finally he went to another room and swapped out our box to make it work. He really went above and beyond to get it working! I sung his praises to the manager and sing his praises here!!

Would not recommend it.
They did not recognize my Hotels.com reservation which was paid for, so I had to pay for it again and get reimbursed from Hotels.com. It was a difficult time and they were not very helpful and this had been going on for over a month.

We arrived pretty late in the night but the front desk service was very pleasant none the less! The beds and pillows are comfortable, the shower has great pressure and gets as hot as you’d like. Our room, and the hotel in general, is very clean. It’s currently Christmas Eve morning and all the decorations are adorable!
I recommend staying here.

Check in was fast and easy. We were given a very large room. This room was clean and had a very soft bed. No complaints from my hubby. We both slept well. We did have issue with tv not working. But a quick visit to front desk and an easy work around worked!!! Breakfast was small but we love waffles and coffe so we were set. The staff was very friendly helpful and always around. The grand hotel was our perfect stop in Tombstone. Thanks again to the staff.

Not a working hot tub or pool also got lied too.
The stay was "okay" the young man David was really nice and helped make our stay wonderful. We were promised a hot tub, and a pool and was told it was working this is why we traveled from Oregon to this establishment we were lied too, no discounts, nothing so I have to say the views and everything else was good but the stay and being lied too not good.

Nice place, but service needs to improve.
It’s a very nice property with nice rooms. Nothing special, just standard hotel room, but appears to be well maintained. The maintenance man was seen every day, landscaping and assisting guests. The biggest issue I had was there was absolutely no housekeeping. NONE. I asked the desk and they started telling me how they’re short staffed, etc. I saw the housekeeper every day. I was there for four nights. I had to remove my own trash and towels and service the trash myself. I don’t think it would have bothered me as much had they let me know up front, but to just keep coming back into your room and seeing nothing done is just frustrating. The staff was actually pretty nice and seemed to be stuck in the middle. Breakfast is waffles, bagels, muffins, etc. Apparently they’re only delivered once a week. As my stay went on, the selection became more limited. Also, the cereal must only be available on the weekends, as it was only out the Sunday morning after our first night. Not seen again throughout the rest of the stay. Also, there’s in-room coffee, but if you don’t ask them for extras, you’ll be out after your first night. Overall it’s a nice place with a good location and views, but the devil is in the details.

The bed needed repair or to be replaced because it was unstable and noisey when moving around during the night. Inroom coffee was terrible. Room was otherwise adequate for a one night stay. Staff were kind and helpful.

Needs a more full-service breakfast. Shrubbery around the outskirts of this hotel needs to be cut down. Would be nice if replaced with gravel and a western-style fence. Also needs a light at the bottom of the entrance where you turn in for entering after dark. Otherwise--a great hotel!

Find another motel
Checkin was ok. No elevators and 2 flights of stairs to the room. Room was first one by the stairs so clunking suitcases up the the stairs and loud voices all night. Very noisy!
No one at the desk for checkout, a sign saying "at the pool" drop key in basket and go online if you want a receipt. Absolutely terrible customer service...would not recommend and will never stay again! Also, the outside and reception area is pleasant but the rooms are old and in much need of a facelift!!

They only do housekeeping every other day, which was not a big deal, but the day they did come in they replaced the towels & bedding, but did no cleaning. The sink, toilet, shower were not cleaned & they didn’t vacuum. I think it would be ok for a one night stay, but a little disappointing for 3 nights.

Terrible. Floor was dirty didnt look like they vaccumed. Bed comforter had blood stain. There was a mouse trap behind the mini fridge and in reach of my toddler. Wont be staying here again.

The rooms were filthy, old and outdated… Not a pet friendly hotel, which they failed to mention when we reserve the room total lack of communication there… But overall just very unclean.. I would not stay here again… although the proximity to downtown is close and distance, if you are planning on having drinks and enjoying yourself. There aren’t any taxis or Ubers available and the walk back to the hotel is a very dangerous road with no sidewalks.

The room we were given was next to the lobby and laundry room. Was also dirty, sheets not clean. Dirty coffee pot. Requested to be moved to a different room. Was told they could not move us to another room. Only manager could make that change. Asked to speak to manager. Was told manager is not on site but is in Florida. Staff as rude and not helpful. Off the highway just enough so there’s was no traffic noise. The room was clean just a little dated, but that was expected in tombstone.
Planned on going to the hot tub however, there were too many people there for too long so we didn’t make that. I would recommend this hotel, and would stay again, if in the area.

It’s a nice hotel just on the outside of Tombstone and my room was extremely convenient for parking, since my room was on the very end by the side parking lot and I could use the side door. They had a free continental breakfast, which was fine, and they also had a movie night with free popcorn. It’s located directly across from the high school, and had a not had other plans, I would’ve gone to the Friday night football game.

It was a last minute booking and we were pleased with check-in and friendliness of staff. Pillows were not the best, too lumpy, but towels were nice and fluffy. The microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker were nice to have. Shower stream was great. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous.

To many cutbacks
I always stay here when in Tombstone however, it seems to be quite different... The hotel online is plugged as a luxury hotel which by the way I really don't care about that. When we first started coming here the breakfast was outstanding and now it no better than the other guys that serve make it yourself waffles. The pool was exceptionally dirty and I guess we got spoiled with the cowboy at the fire pit at night... just not the fun, memory making place it was...

the overnight manager was asleep when we arrived. On three occasions we had dissatisfactory interactions with this person. Every other employee was great, I wish I had taken down her name, she needs a refresher course in customer service.

Safe and Quiet in Tombstone
We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was very nice and the room was comfy with great views. The breakfast was blah and the toilet paper resembled actual paper but other than that, it was all good. Location was safe and quiet but super close to tourist spots. Good value for the money.
