Very comfortable friendly hotel. Just stayed one night before a cruise and the hotel was perfect for that purpose.

When we got there our room was not ready, that was fine. They later upgraded us to a room that was ready except that room had evidence of bed bugs. Showed the front desk, they apologized and moved our room. The pool was closed for renovations with no note of this fact when booking. Informed us that we would be able to use the pool at a hotel down the street, that was not convenient so we did not bother.

i would book again considering location and price. if you are more into the looks of the room, this would be more of an outdated room but, not worn down if that makes sense. the registration looked higher end and i guess i expected room to be the same but it was clean and bed was comfy just a little outdated but overall good.

Would not be saying here again. We didn’t have any proper room service. Our room supplies were not replenished, dirty towels were not replaced with fresh ones, no trash was taken out either. We had a nonsmoking room but the room next to us had all the smoke coming in our room.

It was incredibly disappointing to check into a hotel in Miami and have the pool unavailable. The room was fine. And the location worked for our purposes. Only other complaint - the elevators were awful!!! You’d wait forever.

What I liked was the quick check in amd out process. I liked the convenience to Whole foods and CVS. I liked the security on the elevators where a room key was needed.i liked the cleanliness of the room.
What I didn’t like were the very limited food options.

We had to pay for the hotel shuttle to take us to our cruise ship, which was right down the street. But the staff here is friendly & the location is great. Easy access to shopping & drug stores.

We did not arrive until 2 a.m. and were welcomed as if we had made it during regular checkin. The accommodations were fine. The room was a bit stuffy and needs refreshing.

Love this hotel. My 2nd time staying. The location is perfect!!! Vonnie at the front desk (I gave her a nickname lol) was the sweetest. So friendly and welcoming everytime I saw her. All the staff were now that I think about it. Easily becoming one my favorite places to stay when Im in Miami.

Great stay!
We booked into this hotel for a one night stay when our travel plans got messed up. The hotel was wonderful and the young lady who checked us in was fabulous. I don't remember her name but she was at the desk on 12/15/203 at 10am.

Style and comfort
Spacious and comfortable room with an excellent bed! The water pressure was good and we enjoyed the balcony for night ohotos of the city. The food in the bistro was limited, but good. Had to make a few circles around the neighborhood to get to the parking deck, but it was super eaay to get out and to the ceuise port.

I was very pleasantly surprised as to how quiet it was even though it's in the middle of downtown and all these high rises, etc. The balcony was small but I actually enjoyed the time I got to spend on it even though the weather was rainy most of the time I was there

Very conveniently located to Brickell. Clean and functional full-service property. Staff were great -- got me into room quickly and upgraded me.
They didn't clean the room on my second day, which I thought was strange. Not a huge deal but a little surprised given I was out of the room from mid-morning until late evening.

Lack of Rest
While the hotel is beautiful and our suite was spacious and clean; we did not expect to be awoken at 745am to construction directly above our heads with some sort of heavy drilling at this $200+ per night hotel. We had been traveling since 3am the day before and expected to sleep in with zero luck. Needless to say, we were very upset and not rested at all. We also asked about a complimentary shuttle to the port to board our cruise but was not made aware that it would cost $10 each. We do not carry cash and it took us approx. 20 minutes to figure out how to pay the driver as he spoke zero English and had no bank acct. which made it extremely difficult. What a frustrating morning!!

Be aware of $43 parking charge!
The hotel itself is okay- rooms are outdated but clean. What made me mad was that when checking in, they did not mention the parking charge at all!! In fact, she asked for a credit card for "incidentals" and still did not tell us that there would be a parking charge going on that card!?
Upon getting the receipt emailed to me, once I'd left the property, I see a $43 parking fee that was charged on that card!??!
I feel this was deceitful and the charge should have been disclosed at check in.

I liked the openness from management upon check-in about the pool being closed due to renovations. Also, providing any needs for the guests at their fingertips at the front desk. Requests over the phone were a hit or miss. I didn’t like that I couldn’t understand some of the cleaning ladies being that they only spoke Spanish. The area of the hotel is very heavy in Hispanic speaking people, many of whom don’t understand English or only know a little. The irons provided didn’t work, even after asking for a new one. The light by the door didn’t turn on. The ventilation in the bathroom is poor, it got steamy very fast and cleared up slowly. Also, one of the outlets didn't work.

The staff was outstanding. They were very helpful and and knowledgeable about the property and the area. The property doesn't not offer a shuttle to the airport or if you are taking a cruise a shuttle from the cruise ship. They did offer a shuttle going to the cruise port for $10.00 a person

We arrived a little late and a little cranky, but the young lady at.the front desk went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. Vonda checked us in and in conversation found out for my birthday weekend in the keys everything went wrong. She took it upon her kind heart to upgrade our room and take care of our parking and offer us breakfast. This may seem small to some but it meant the world after all the bad. Needless to say she was so friendly and genuine. We need more people like Vonda in this world. Good souls. Thank you Vonda and Marriott

Great location for Bayside market place, walkable. We stayed before we boarded a cruise and was a really short ride to the port. We felt the room was a little dirty and dated, but it served its purpose for a 2 night stay. Quite noisy due to traffic but I guess it’s to be expected downtown Miami.

Within two blocks there are homeless people camping on the sidewalks. The key cards for the room, the hotel entry points, and the parking garage barely worked - you have to swipe it 12 times for it to give a green light and open the door or gate. The refrigerator in the room is tiny and doesn’t stay on continuously, it has a button inside you have to press for the fridge to run for two hours at a time. There were hairs all over the bathroom and in the bathtub. The area around the hotel is extremely congested with traffic day and night, as well as half the roads being blocked off by police cars with lights on so you have to find a detour. The restaurant inside the hotel has a very small, limited menu and what we ordered wasn’t good. For what we paid, we’d have gotten a much better meal elsewhere. We will book a different hotel next time.

Newbie to Miami
Marco took great care of me to get me an early check in after being placed on a forever hold by another employee. I had to hang up and call back to get him. Outside of that, ease of check in was great. Hotel had had some upgrades, but still you can tell it is a little older. Nevertheless, it was still a great stay with no other issues. All the other staff were very nice and helpful as a first timer to Miami and the hotel being my first encounter there.

The biggest compliant was that the hotel was undergoing construction in the garage, which started at 8 am to 4 pm. I doubt changing rooms would have made a difference as it was even louder in the hallways. I was not informed of the construction and had to discover it the next day. The room could have use a coat of paint, or wash the walls (dirty). Otherwise, its your typical downtown hotel probably good for a quick 1-2 night stay. Positives: The people mover is close, port is close, Whole Foods next door and decent restaurants within walking during the day. It’s not the best Marriott property I have stayed, but staff was nice so made up for a lot of the negatives.

Everything was great! The staff was amazing. The only thing is that he pool is closed and not working. You have to walk to a nearby hotel to use theirs. I would Call before and check if the pool is open and working. They only have outdoor pool and it was a bummer it was not working.
