We have stayed here twice and it has become our head quarters each time we come to Boston . The staff is friendly and went out of their way to make us happy.

A clean bed, not much more
The parking garage could use a good cleaning or update. Also, I saw someone parking handicap space who did not look handicapped. I checked and there was no permit visible. I later saw the person entered an employee only space. When I returned 4 hours later the car was still there, I took a picture and reported to front desk. Young woman at front desk seemed to understand that it wasn’t a great thing, but didn’t want picture or license and generally didn’t seem to know what to do about it (how about call police since it’s illegal?)
Also the maid staff talks loudly in the hall. Noise can be an issue. There was a busload of young women checking in at same time (college sports team?) , they were sharing rooms and noise travels. Maybe the rooms are only intended for single guests or guests who know how to respect quiet

Disappointed!
We came down to boston for a day surgery.
The room rate was fair and then I was surprised when I found out that there is a fifty dollar parking fee. We were in your hotel four less than fourteen hours and we had to pa fifty dollars to park there. Outrageous!
The room was clean. The pillows however, were old and worn out. In the shower there were three dispensers. I was unable to read what each one was for.
The front desk girl was very polite and helpful but was extremely difficult to understand. I am speculating that she is a foreign exchange student.

The staff is always amazing. You walk out to beautiful Brookline with tons of dining and shopping options. Rooms are clean and updated. Nice comfortable bed and work area.

Great Location, Always clean and friendly
We stay at the Courtyard Marriott a handful of times a year. Always very clean, friendly staff, nice little pool and a great location with walking distance to loads of restaurants at Coolidge Corner and a quick drive to BU, Fenway, the whole Harvard Med complex and more.

We went to a Jelly Roll concert last night and th staff was friendly, room smelled good but no comforter on bd was mysterious but the room was nice! Came back from concert and had a good time lounging around and love yhe relaxed atmosphere

No Parking. Rooms are dirty
The reception on this hotel is getting progressively worse. There is no parking for oversized vehicles. They used to accommodate but they decided that they no longer allow taller vehicles to park on the property. They suggested to park in a public lot 2 blocks away. When i questioned the manager he went to investigate and disappeared. The room was not adequately cleaned and the equipment in the gym is broken. I used to stay here all the time, but i am not coming back to this hotel.

I love the central location to Coolidge Corner shops, movie theater, lots of great restaurants, and walkable neighborhoods.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant a bit slow, but helpful to have there.

Trash hotel. Fridge was smelling beer and if you put your water bottle there it would smell like beer. Broken and leaking stuff in the bathroom.
Even more, I asked restaurant person (bald white guy with thick glasses) when they do close. The guy literally yelled at me sayin he doesn't understand what I say.
Never seen such a clownish place.

It was a lovely property close to where we needed to be. The room was clean and spacious. Room was ready early for us and it couldn’t have been better for our meds.

We stayed one night at the property and checked out this morning. After a long day, all we wanted was a good place to sleep and we chose the brand for that reason.
However we were extremely disappointed because the air conditioner in the room was noisy through out the night and kept waking us up many times. This is a basic requirement in a room which should have been dealt with through normal maintenance.
Having paid a large amount for the nights stay, we didn’t feel we got the money’s worth. We sent a note to the manager and got no response.
We would not choose the property again and recommend that people look for so many other good options in the area.

Would reconsider staying here again
The original room I stayed in was okay but the following nights i joined my friends in a junior suite. Tjunior suite stayed was not overally clean, curtains had spots and the couch had a large stain on it. The toliet did not work from the moment of checked in. We had to go down to the lobby and use the toliets located their. We spent a lot of time waiting for someone from the hotelnto come fix it instead of goong out on the city as planned. Only one elevator was working and at time it was over loaded that you had to wait 15-20 minutes to get on.

This chain of hotels is one of our favs for good reason. The rooms are always clean and beautiful and cozy; plenty of space and a nice home-away-from-home. I also love that there is a pool that is open late and a snack stand downstairs. The Brookline location is perfect.
My only issue is John, the bartender. He is rude, not attentive, and standoffish/made us feel uncomfortable so it took my partner and i forever to get his attention to order our meals. He served us drinks right away and we only needed a few minutes to look at the menu, but he kept going into the kitchen or walking through the lobby of the hotel, and when he WAS behind the counter he had his back to us or watched the tv which had the sound turned off, so it was hard and awkward to get his attention. I have social anxiety sometimes so a person’s approachability is a big deal for me. At one point I said we were ready to order but i don’t know if he ignored me or is just hard of hearing so didn’t turn to us and just went into the kitchen. It took me 5-10 more minutes to muster up the courage to say something again. The meals themselves took forever too (or at least it felt like it by then). When we FINALLY got our meals they were actually really good!! Maybe if our experience was better we maybe would have gone back.

Stayed for one night to go to see a friend at the hospital. The next morning when I was preparing to leave to see my friend, I woke up to have a shower.
No hot water!!
Horrible. Staff comp'ed me the one night parking, but that did not make up for not being able to take a shower on a day I had to get out early, get to the hospital, and then take a six hour flight.

The room was great and the price was great. My only complaint is that there was a massive stain on the cushion of the couch in our room. I had to let the staff know when we checked out to make sure they didn't think we had made the stain. Otherwise, great place.

We loved this hotel! The room was extremely comfortable, clean and much larger than we thought it would be. The staff was amazing friendly, helpful, professional and accommodating. We felt safe and taken care of with our two kiddos. When we come back to Boston we'll definitely be back!

The location was great and the my hotel room was adorable. The ladies at the front desk were so incredibly sweet, professional, and helpful. This was my first time visiting Boston and they made me feel so welcomed. Additionally, I love the convenience having The Bistro at the hotel. I woke up, went downstairs to order coffee, and right back into my comfy bed to enjoy my latte. I highly recommend this hotel.

Avoid the Courtyard by Marriott Boston Brookline. They didn’t honor my reservation, didn’t let me know until I was 10 minutes away, wouldn’t allow me to give them another credit card number for the pre-authorization, refused to help me find alternative lodging, but did help the next customer find a different hotel for their first night.
I made a reservation 6 months in advance of the Boston Marathon. The manager called me when I was in an Uber 10 minutes away from the hotel, telling me my credit card had denied the charge. I offered to give her a different credit card number, either while we were on the phone or on arrival. The manager said that would not be possible and further stated the hotel did not have any rooms available. (My credit card had been replaced in the last 6 months; the hotel manager didn’t call to ask me for a different card number, instead she called to tell me the reservation was denied.)
When I arrived, I was told the same message. I asked for assistance in finding another room at a Marriott hotel or another chain (Boston was pretty much sold out for marathon weekend), the manager refused to help. Yet while I was waiting in the lobby, another couple entered. They too were told that their hotel reservation for the first night was no longer valid. However the hotel made arrangements to find them a room at a different hotel in Cambridge for the first night and honor their reservation for the remaining nights.

The hotel room had peeling wallpaper, the end table was dirty. The chair in the room had some spilled dried liquid on it. There were crumbs on the TV stand area. The tub had some rusty holes on it.The tub also had hair in it. The vent in the shower was very coated with dust. The shelf under the sink in the bathroom was also dusty. The room in general was dirty and needed upgrades. I would of complained but we were only there one night, so it wasn't worth my time.

The location worked well for us. The fire alarm at 2:30 in the morning was frightening with no input from the management. When we returned I got a bill for &160 for parking which we did not use - the hotel did refund it promptly and the person I spoke with about it was quite helpful.

Bathtub in room needs replacement. Maintenance came twice and could still not completely fix the drainage issue.

We were very disappointed with the staff working at the property. First, they refused to check us in at 2:00pm saying there were no rooms available. Then, when we finally checked in they gave us a wrong room that could not accommodate 3 people. We were in town for my daughter's race, and had to check in at 9:30pm after the race was over. We went out to eat right after check in and got back around 10:30-11:00pm. When it was time to go to bed, we found out that out sheets had yellow spots on them. I called the front desk and asked if I can have clean sheets. I waited for a while and called back to see if I can pick up the sheets myself as it was 12am and we were very tired. At that point, a man on the phone named Dean told me that he has no idea why I was calling so late, and went on to say that I had all the time since 2:00pm to check my sheets and he was not sure why I did not check my sheets sooner. I told him that I did not check in at 2:00pm as I was told there were no rooms available, and I was not aware that hotel had a policy for guests to check the sheets for cleanness. I informed him that the only reason I was calling was because hotel failed to provide me with clean bed. He interrupted me saying ok, ok , just wait for the sheets. There was no apology for the dirty bed I got or for the inconvenience. Upon check out no-one even inquired how was our stay. Despite location being excellent, we will not be staying in this hotel ever again.

Overall the stay was good, the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. There was an issue with our room key being deactivated prior to our check out time. We heard many other guests complaining at the front desk with that same issue that morning, when we brought the issue to the front desk staff they didn’t respond favorably. They didn’t want to figure out why it was happening to so many guests they reacted like it was an inconvenience to them. It is unfortunate when customers bring an issue forward only to feel unheard.

Room was very cold on arrival - window wide open, took a long time to warm up. Bed wasn't fully made (not tucked in on the bottom). Bathroom could have been cleaner, just seemed worn.
