Hotel had a certain charm to it. Liked its history and really liked large internal stair case to walk up and down. Elevator is tiny and there's only one. Room was clean and hotel is well maintained. Would stay there again.

I was just here for one night, but my room was clean, quiet, and well appointed. The staff was friendly and the common areas were clean. It was in a wonderful location, and I was able to take the massport airport bus for $3 that picks up a couple blocks away.

Enjoyable stay in a nicely decorated historic hotel on Copley Square. I had the Copley King room and the bed was big and comfortable with lots of pillows. Plenty of food options in the area (there's a mall and market right across the street and many restaurants nearby, plus a Trader Joe's within walking distance) as well as access to the Green and Orange Line trains. I came in via Amtrak and it was an easy 5-minute walk from the station. Would stay again for sure.

From the friendly and welcoming concierge, to the beautiful decor and tastefully appointed room, this hotel has been a magnificent experience from beginning to end and a cozy respite from a long trip. I will definitely recommend and return to the Copley Square Hotel.

They Called me Rude for Asking for water
I over heard someone ask for water. Thought i’d ask. Literally what happened: “I over heard someone ask for water. Can i get some water bottles?”. Front desk night manager, Claudia, “MAY I get water. NOT CAN I get water. It’s rude to ask because these are complimentary water bottles”. Very uncalled for attitude. If you guys don’t hand out water bottles for free, that’s totally fine.
On top of the my room was flooded with water. They moved me to another room, which was also flooded. Grabbed all my things again, and finally got an upgraded room which was basically the same room just without the claustrophobic walls. The elevators were old worked barely. Shower curtains had stains, sink had smudges… it’s an old property and needs a lot of renovation and they need to remove claudia for being in appropriately B-wordy.

When I walked in at approximately 11:30pm Johanna greeted me so welcoming. It was late and I was hungry so she brought me a snack to eat. Her smile is contagious and I will always remember the welcome I received. The room was perfect and I slept the best I had in weeks. Thank you Copley Square Hotel

I've been going to this hotel for a few years. I'll mainly for anime Boston and it's has its charm and convenient. Being close to what I need to get to. Staff was very polite and courteous. Made me and my girlfriend very welcomed for my recent day and the place smelled very clean and everything was very nice. Highly recommended.

We arrived late and had a 7th floor room ready for us - small, clean, and warm. It is located in the heart of Copley Square so we walked to the public library and then to the public garden and the common with no problem. All in all a fine place to stay.

I was disappointed in the way the hotel has changed since we stayed there many years ago. It has supposedly been upgraded but it has lost everything that made it warm and welcoming.

Fine but will not be back.
The hotel is clean and the cleaning crew is great. The room had no outlets near the bed, no clock near bed, no way to charge your phone or know what time it is without getting up. The tv internet wouldn’t work 80% of our 3 day trip. We also were late to our NBA game because they had flushed our water and it we were without hot water for a few hours in the afternoon. It was brown and gross. When asking about a late check out on Sunday (I assume a slow check in day) the woman was clearly irritated and begrudgingly gave us an hour, then hung up on me. Also a keurig or coffee pot in the room would be nice. Room size was fine and like I said it was clean. Just for being remodeling less than two years ago… expected some more conveniences.

A real value for the money. Location is great, and while the hotel has been around forever and the rooms are smaller than “modern” hotels, it was updated, clean, and had a relatively big frig. If you’re only looking for somewhere to sleep at night, it’s a good deal.

Helpful, accommodating staff. Historic hotel, remodeled and is nice, but room was cold. The weather also cold, but the heat exchange blew out only cool air. Staff gave me portable heater, which helped but not the same as having adequate temperature.
Another thing: Coffee not in rooms; only in a “guest kitchen” shared by all guests.

Our room was on the second floor and on the first that of our stay it was raining pretty hard. The water started seeping through the window of our room. The carpet was pretty damp and we were told that it was due to the building being very old. The next two nights it did not rain so everything was good.

First time in Boston. Selected this hotel based on its Back Bay location and reasonable price. It far exceeded our expectations. One block from all transportation including Logan Express bus which is free from Logan to Back Bay. The hotel was quaint, clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and housekeeping was thorough. Lots of food options nearby and walkable to several places including library, malls and Becon Hill. Very happy with our choice.

Location is super convenient. Lack of water fountains to refill water bottles but they gave two water bottles a day. There’s not a lot of noise isolation so you can hear people through the hallways.

Great Little Gem
Super convenient location within walking distance of Back Bay Amtrak station, Boyleston and Newbury streets, Eataly and other shopping in the Prudential Center. Also an easy walk to the MFA and Gardner museums. Accommodations were quiet, roomy, and clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a mini fridge but sorely missed having a coffee maker and electric kettle in room. There’s a guest kitchen off the lobby with a coffee maker but the coffee was terrible. Fortunately there’s a Blue Bottle cafe in Pru Center and a Starbucks in the huge Star Market across the street but the ability to have coffee in the room first thing is preferable. Very reasonable rates though and lovely staff. Highly recommend for a Boston stay.

I loved my room! I loved the whimsical Trompe L'oeil wall cover on the wall behind my bed and the cool mini retro fridge! The roominess of the bathroom was wonderful, however please relocate the hook on the wall the sink. It's obtrusive and ina bad spot. I hit a couple of times with my right arm while using or standing in front of the sink..

The hotel is quite old (in a historic way…not negative way). My room was very affordable so it was no surprise it was quite small. But it was fine for one person. The bathroom was tight…but again, not really a problem for one person. The only slightly negative was my room overlooked the street and even from the 4th floor, the street noise was pretty loud throughout the night.

The hotel itself was extremely nice and comfortable. Unbeatable location!! Our room was very clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was so nice and helpful! They let us check in at 11am without any issues.
We only had one big problem. Their housekeeping staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. We had a man come banging on our door the day we checked out at 10:30 am. When we asked for a few minutes to finish gathering our things he started cussing at us and yelling… it was scary. We said we were going to report him and he started walking up and down the hallway calling us names and saying he was going to report us for being “belligerent”, extremely unpleasant event. Once we finally walked out of the room he cussed at us as we were walking by him.

The property was clean, check-in/out was easy, and the location was unbeatable. It’s only about a 3 minute walk from local transit and is next to prudential center, a nice shopping area. Not to mention there is tons of food options around. Hotel also has a complimentary luggage room on check in and check out days which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend!

Overall stay here was good. However we ended up upgrading our room to one of the best rooms on the 6th floor which needed up making our experience awesome! We did look at the initial room that we reserved and we could tell we wouldn’t have enjoyed our stay in that room and especially because the ac/heat vent was right by bed and it was loud!! However if you get a good room here, your stay will be good. It’s not a busy and popular hotel compared to others close by but for a good price you will get a clean room and good layout with the right room.

Absolutely terrible from begining to end. If inspected at all it will be condemned. Filthy, non-professional employee staff on reception. Washer and dryer both broken. Ice machines continuously malfunction on al floors. Filthy halls and rooms. Vending area poorly stocked if at all. Frequently can not take money due to being full and no change in machine. Staffing lack of interest in patrons comfortability or their well being at all. As if they/we even exist in the world they are in command of. All I can say is it is a disgrace to all who enter the domain and if they stay for their booked time. It is highly unlikely that they will ever utilize this hotels services again and they will, without question, be making sure that everyone they know will be made aware of the poor conditions, treatment by staff and lack of any creature comforts or concern for patrons period. The hotel needs to be taken out of operation.

First of alll the hair dryer didn't work, which was a problem for my wife. It took awhile to get another one. Then our tv didn't work. ( The maintenance guy was amazing) The complimentary coffed and tea is licated on the first floor mot in your room.
The biggest problem we faced was that the front desk does not have cash available. It was very difficult to tip staff.

Perfect location
The hotel is in a perfect location, directly next to a grocery store, across from a tasty restaurant (Yardhouse), minute walk to shopping areas. The design of the hotel is cool and the bed was very comfortable. The elevator took a while to get sometimes and valet service was lacking (I believe they were shorthanded). Great experience, I would definitely stay again!

No thermometer..but others are good
Most of things are perfect.. but the check in age is 21 instead of 18 as stated in this app.. they clean very fast and when you leave with a “don’t clean” sign and they see that they will ask if you need clean just in case you forget to change the sign (very kind and considerate). The point is they don’t have thermometer for body temperature and the front desk who answered my call was very rude and impatient. I don’t know if all hotels have to have a thermometer; I think they should because it makes the customers’ lives easier when they have fever. Especially now in the flu season.

We had a wonderful four-night stay last weekend, in a King room on the 4th floor. Our room had a big window that looked out to the Prudential Center. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. Smart tv that lets you screen mirror, log into Netflix, etc, plus regular cable. Nice CO Bigelow toiletries in the bathroom. We could hear the floor creak when people walked above us, but otherwise we didn’t hear noise from another room. There’s a vending machine by the lobby, plus a kitchen area with coffee makers and microwaves. All staff we met were super helpful and friendly. They’ll store your luggage for free on day of arrival and departure. The attached bar, Hue, was closed for private events the entire time we were there, but the front desk gave us recommendations for other places nearby. Location-wise, also, this hotel is amazing, as you’re a block from two malls (Copley Place and Prudential Center), grocery store (Star Market), the subway, and of course the Boston landmarks, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.

The Copley is my go to choice when staying in Boston.
Perfectly located right next to the main branch library with Green Line, Orange Line and Commuter Rail all a block away.
It's a pretty basic hotel but it has nice room features like safes and refrigerators. It's clean and the price simply cannot be matched in that area.
It also has a small but decent workout room (not a gym) with 2 treadmills and a decent rack of dumbbells. It also has a kitchen off the the lobby with a decent free coffee machine (makes surprisingly good cappuccino) as well as a vending machine that conveniently has things like toothbrushes and paste without gouge-like prices.
For the price, I cannot recommend a better hotel in the area.
