The Avalon was absolutely perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful. Its located just steps from the beach and a short walk to restaurants and shops. Parking was easy. We definately will be returning!

The property was immaculate. Our suite had everything we needed. A couple of minor issues were addressed immediately by staff. The staff were also attentive and incredibly friendly. Would definitely book there again.

A Five Star Experience!
Our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The reviews that we researched were accurate and our experience was wonderful. First, the property and our one bedroom suite was immaculate, second, the staff was extremely service oriented and supported us with any need. When the in unit washer had a problem, as a solution they offered to launder our clothes and dry them and they did! That was above and beyond. They say true customer service is how you handle it when things go wrong. They handled this perfectly! We WILL be back!
The proximity to the beach was perfect and the long stretches for walking and shelling fantastic.
Thank you whomever is responsible for the superior cleaning staff and “service first” employees. In an age where those things are often lacking, this experience will stay with me. Thank you!

Hotel is well kept and on the quiet end of the beach. They offer beach chairs and umbrellas which is great because the vendors that rent them close early in October. Just be prepared to carry them across the beach. Room was lovely but the ocean view in the 2bdr (on the third floor) left much to be desired. The balcony is right next to the top of a utility pole and the view is tarnished by the pole and wires. I recommend asking which room you will be assigned because they refused to change the room and told us the room a customer receives is based on the site they used to book it through.

The staff were beyond amazing. We were here for our wedding and the hotel staff went above and beyond for us and our friends and family. They were very helpful and always happy to see everyone. I will always recommend someone to stay here. It’s right on the beach, easy parking, close to restaurants, not very busy, and very welcoming.

We were a family of 7.
2 adult's, 3 teens and grandparents.
We had a 3 bedroom suite on the 6th floor.
Lovely and spacious suite with beautiful views of the bay. Absolutely stunning sunrises that could be seen from my room and balcony.
Fully equipped kitchen.
The hotel was brighr and clean. The staff were exceptional. They were very polite and helpful.
The hotel is set on the beach. The hotel allows you to borrow chairs, parasols and swim equipment for the beach for free.
There is a complimentary tea and coffee service on the 2nd floor.
There is a gas station 3 min walk away where you can buy the essentials.
We would definitely return.
My only improvements would be that Avalon should allow for late checkouts. There is also a daily parking charge and resort fee that you need to be aware of when booking.

Great little getaway.
The Avalon Club was a great place to stay. Dog friendly and just a short walk to the part of beach that allows dogs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even let us check in a lil early after unit was ready. Very clean and equipped with everything you need just like being at home. Food and shopping was also close by. Will definitely be back.

I stayed here for my bachelorette party, and it was fantastic! Right from the get-go, we were greeted by the best staff, fun and sweet energy! We stayed in a suite, and we were all very happy with the rooms, views, kitchen, and pool! We found it extremely walkable for the beach obviously and even the walk to restaurants and shopping wasn't bad at all! I will be staying here again and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the Clearwater area!

The apartments are all owned by individuals and rented out through a management co or Airbnb etc. You pay $28 parking and $35 cover per day which I felt was expensive.
The location is excellent and walking distance to nice restaurants.
The apartment was spacious and well equipped. You have to give 24 hours notice if you could like the apartment cleaned but they will change towels if you leave them outside of the door.
All communal areas are spotless and the cleaners work tirelessly to keep it this way.
Holly behind the bar on arrival was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area.
My negatives are that there was only 2 parasols covering the bar (apparently new parasols had been on order for 3 weeks). When I requested a shade option I was met with some hostility which made the rest of our stay slightly uncomfortable. Thankfully a maintenance man adjusted a beach umbrella to suit the parasol stands. This is where I noticed the difference between hotel hospitality and rented apartments. In my opinion it is imperative to provide guest with shade to protect them from the sun.
The beach towels (provided in the cover charge) felt cheap and thin.
There is no where to hang towels in the shower area. You have to walk across the tiled floor to the toilet (which had the door removed) to retrieve/hang towels.
We stayed in gulf view apt 307 but our view was mainly of a 2 story apartment block and electric pylons. We had the worst view of all gulf side apartments

Beautiful property, outstanding service and staff. Our three bedroom ocean front was so spacious and beautiful! The only minor complaint is it was noisy in the hallways, but I think it was due to a loud group that was there.

The location was great. The hotel is very modern, and sleek. The rooms are very large, and kitchens are great, it is like staying in a Condo for the same price as a regular hotel room!
However, there are some negatives: the pool is tiny, and only has a few chairs around it. There isn't a hot tub, which is typically a standard feature at a hotel or a condo. It is on the beach side of the street, but there is a parking lot between you and the sand.
We had some specific problems with our room, which they probably should have done a better job to fix. They did a 'half attempt', but frankly should have offered us another room, or 'comp' a free room for a future visit. Unfortunately, they did not....

We really enjoyed out stay at The Avalon Club and will stay there again next time we return to the area. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath City View Deluxe unit. The unit was very clean and extra amenities were included such as paper towels, extra toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, Jet Dry, detergent pods and dryer sheets. It was nice having a washer and dryer to use. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Family Trip!
Our family stayed here for a few days just on vacation. There were 5 of us, and this place was so clean and updated. The staff were all fantastic. It's a smaller hotel which is just our style and on the less busy part of the island, but we could walk to all the shops and restaurants with absolutely no problem. It was a perfect low key getaway.

Per arrived at 11 and they were able to give us our parking pass, let us change for the beach until our room was ready and take some chairs to enjoy the beach. Awesome! Room was nice. Clean and comfortable. Gym was nicer than most the staff was super friendly.

If you go into this expecting and Airbnb experience, you'll love it. There are no amenities or staff, just the front desk person...no dining except for pizza/pretzels, no concierge, no small shop for water/snacks, a pool bar that only serves beer/seltzer/canned drinks. The bartender is amazing though!! The pool is beyond small and just a bit bigger than a hot tub. The Coffee bar on floor 2 is self-service and usually out of coffee. You have to haul your chairs, umbrellas, etc quite far to get to the beach. Wifi doesn't always work. If you want more towels for your room, you have to fill the bin and leave it outside your door for pickup and then replacement. You have to schedule room cleaning 24 hours in advance. You can also hear the people staying in the rooms around you pretty clearly, esp when they're arguing. All that said, the room we were in was amazing, esp the views So if you go for the room alone and expect nothing else, you will love it!

Fantastic stay at the Avalon for Mother's Day with our family of seven adults. The staff was amazing including the front desk, bar tenders, and housekeeping. We stayed in the 3 bedroom Grand Suite with beautiful sunset views. The location was perfect and walking to restaurants and shopping. Enjoy a Pina Colada at the pool bar and the sunset. Thanks for taking good care of us on our family vacation. We will definitely be back!

Pricing is always higher than expected going through Expedia.
Charges for taxes, resort fees , parking, pets and all others charges are too high on top of cost to stay.
We had a gulf view and the palm trees blocked our view.

Hotels.com lied to me again/ but the unit was amaz
There was miscommunication between hotels and the Avalon. Mis advertising regarding my partial ocean view. Instead I had a view of another roof that was very disappointing. However, everything else was prestigious. Phenomenal customer service! Very clean large unit. I’d like to come back. Pool smaller than image but it’s such a gorgeous view! They bring you ice water as soon as you sit down.

With Hotels.com discount, this hotel was equal in price to other beachfront hotels closer to the pier. I liked the beach location which was farther away and somewhat less crowded. They had notes offering that guests were welcome to use amenities the full day before and after their stay, allowing us to make a one nights stay feel like two full days. Also, I hadn’t even realized that the cost included a two bedroom suite with full kitchen. That was a great value compared to other hotels at the same price. I only wish there had been plain milk or cream available somewhere in the hotel. The rooms only had powdered creamed and the “coffee lounge” had only sweetened gross syrupy coffee mate. Everything else exceeded expectations.

This place is awesome! This is a place I will make sure to book anytime we’re in Clearwater. It’s very clean, very modern, and steps away from the beach. The staff is awesome and super friendly. Staff is very helpful and they explain everything very well and make the check in process easy. We got to the area early so they allowed us to use their lounge area to grab coffee and use the bathrooms to change into beach gear. They kept watch over our luggage while we went and enjoyed the beach and once our room was ready they let us know. They provide beach chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas for the beach. This place is within walking distance of great shopping and eateries.

One of my favorite things in life is to travel. The Avalon Club has officially been added to my top 3 hotels. The view is breathtaking, the beach is on site, and there was enough room for our family. It literally felt like a home away from home. We will definitely be back.

Love this hotel!! This was a last minute reservation for us and had not stayed on this side of the beach before. From the moment we walked in the door it was so clean. It smells brand new. The check-in was so smooth and room was exceptional! We made our way to the pool and enjoyed the gorgeous view and the sunset champagne. I wish I got the name of the bartender, she was amazing. The next day we were sitting by the pool and without asking she brought us over a carafe of ice water! It was these little touches that impressed me. Oh and can’t forget the homemade cookies in our room! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and plan to stay here again.

I wish I knew it was a new condo, I would have packed a lot less. There is a new washer and dryer in the units and detergent and dryer sheets. Also, it's great if you want quiet as it's at the end of the strip of hotels and restaurants on Clearwater Beach. For us, it was a little bit of a pain because my young body didn't want to walk but I'm 51 and had no problem walking to Pier 60 and back both via the road and via the beach which is in front of the hotel - though it's not right on the water. It was new and clean and everything went well. The rates before March are incredible for what you get. I don't think they are bad after March compared to the rest of the area. We will definitely stay there again, at least I will, and leave the kids home : )

The property is very clean and the units was very spacious. Also, right on the beach. Which is nice. Even if you don't have a beach view, the intercoastal is also pretty. The front desk agent is very chatty. She told us her life's story...and her adult children's...and her classmate's... It was a bit awkward. We just wanted to get checked in and get to our unit. But we wanted to be polite. So we just stood there and listened.
The water heater didn't allow for multiple people to shower within a period of time. One person showered and then by the time the 2nd and 3rd person tried to shower, the water was luke warm. Not sure if this specific units owners have the hot water turned down. But it was a bit frustrating when trying to get ready for the evening. Overall, the place was good. It served its purpose for our needs.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, lots of places to walk to, directly on the beach. The staff is fantastic. Definitely a drag to have to pay for parking especially when it’s not season. The fifth floor pool and bar are wonderful. They do not serve very much food nor do they serve regular alcohol. Just an FYI My only complaint is that the keypad on the hotel room doors is very difficult to use.

This place is amazing! We had a room on the third floor and we could see the ocean easily (if you want an ocean view you just have to buy a room that says ocean view). We got to watch a nasty storm come in from the ocean from our balcony. They have a spacious parking garage under the building and I was very impressed - super easy to get in and out of. The room was very clean and all of the front desk staff were very friendly.
For us being youngsters, we were very entertained and excited that there were shovels/buckets/volleyballs there for you to use on the beach.
The only thing the Avalon Club does not have is breakfast - however there are many great places within walking distance that are amazing and very affordable! There is a whole line of restaurants on the strip of land that lines the ocean. I actually recommend walking the entire strip because there are places for everyone (I just would not drive unless you are leaving the stript because you would have to pay to park anywhere else - it is smart to leave your vehicle in the Avalon Club's garage)
