Stay at Spring Hill Chicago
Overall the stay was good however the sofa bed was terrible and need attention also did not look so clean with stains on it when pulling the bed there was cleaning needed under there as well shower/tub needs updated as well.

I took my tween and some friends here for a mid winter birthday break and was very pleased with the hotel. Rooms were clean and well sized (double queen suites). The pool was nothing great - slightly small and water was a little cooler, but the girls had fun in it. Breakfast in the morning was standard hotel breakfast fare but everything was well stocked. Staff was friendly and on top of things.

We had a great stay. Our luggage was late and had to be delivered to our hotel. Carl the night desk clerk was so helpful and called as soon as our luggage arrived. Thanks again!

The room keys I feel should be updated to the non de magentatized ones.
The pool seems it could be remodeled
And the gym could use a bit more equipment

Rooms themselves very clean, spacious and comfortable - beds VERY comfortable! The property itself felt dingy and dated. No housekeeping service provided over 3 days. Air conditioning blew black particles out of the vent. Shower had GREAT water pressure. So...mixed bag. Probably wouldn't stay again but overall not a bad experience.

The rooms are spotless, the overall property is nice. We had no issues with an early check in. The breakfast was good and everyone was very accommodating. I would stay here again for sure. Not very close to Chicago downtown but several nice sites to see close by

Breakfast staff was very nice. They had breakfast out and ready to eat before their stated opening time. We had to get going early. I choose Springhill because they had breakfast on the weekend. Would have be disappointed if we could not have partaken of breakfast.

Breakfast was underwhelming - one day it included packaged ham and cheese croissants (like they are served by the airlines).
One day the shower water was only lukewarm.
Otherwise the room was nice and clean.

ROOMS WAS ROOMY CLEAN THIS PROPERTY WOULD ME PERFECT IF THEY HAD A DOOR SEPARATING THE BEDROOM FROM LIVING ROOM AREA,IT WAS HARD TO GO TO SLEEP WITH WIFE AND CHILDREN WATCHING T V. WITH NO DOOR TO CLOSE THE NOISE OFF OTHER THAN THAT FRONT DESK STAFF WAS VERY EFFICIENT AND HELPFUL MS.SHONTAE AT FRONT DESK WAS A BIG HELP AND VERY POLITE!

Bedbugs didn’t stay. Checked out immediately.
We were exhausted from an overnight stay at the hospital. It was snowing and ice we needed somewhere up stay.
Didn’t even get settled seen the bugs and left. Immediately.
Stains and stench. Dirty carpet. Outdated. Disgusted. Still no refund from hotels.com even tho the hotel never charged me.

My 9 yr old daughter and I enjoyed the long weekend with my toddler Grand Boys. The hotel is in a perfect location conveniently near the express way and Shopping. The Staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast and the pool were the icing on our stay. We'll definitely return when we need a getaway in the future.

Customer service wins over mother nature
We were able to check in early which was great. We returned from our family Christmas party to no water in our room. evidently a pipe burst. The lady behind the counter was fantastic and switched rooms which also had no water. The fire alarm went off and we were in the lobby for a good hour. The lady behind the counter was very calm and good at keeping everybody calm in a difficult situation. If it weren't for her then I would say the stay was horrible. We were able to return to our rooms and by the time we woke up the pipes were fixed and we were able to get ready for the Christmas party the next day. You can't fight mother nature but how you handle an issue is more important than the issue itself and she did great!

Unfriendly front desk staff, they were not receptive at all. As if they don't care if you stay or not. House keeping staff were friendly though.
The beds were terrible, our room was on the 3rd floor room 313 . The bed sags in the middle with stains in the bed spread.
Toilet clogged twice and we had to call for assistance.
The pool area looks very old.
I think you should address these issues for your guests to have value for their money.
I was disappointed and on my next trip to Chicago im not considering this place.

I did like the ease of checking in & out & the room was pretty comfy. Rooms do need an upgrade. Seemed a bit old & tired. Wall plugs didn't seem to give out alot of juice for my cell phone. Bathroom a bit cramped, but o.k. Coffee was excellent. The pull out couches foam was super uncomfortable. Staff was friendly.

This Hotel does not look anywhere near what it looks like in the pictures. It's not clean and the 70s style decor is not new decor it is in fact from the seventies. It has not been updated since the place was built. The furniture is worn out the fold away bed was horrible the rooms were dark very few power outlets, the Wi-Fi was terrible, the breakfast was bad, and the minute we walked into our rooms our allergies went off, but they got better as soon as we left our rooms so there is something in the rooms like mold or something that affected us. Plus the water was terrible we had to buy bottled water just to brush our teeth. Staff was nice though.

Rooms were a good size but couches and fixtures were a bit dated. No USB ports in the room. Hot water was plentiful, and the staff worked hard to keep breakfast well stocked. Bathrooms are in great need of more hooks to hang towels, and the pool (which was heated and nice) was well enjoyed by many. Honestly, the staff was great and I especially appreciated Karl’s patience as I kept accidentally deactivating my card. Overall, a decent hotel but does need some updating.

We have stayed at this Marriott several times in the past & have been very pleased but this last stay was definitely below what we have become accustomed to for Marriott standards.
Our main issues were mainly with housekeeping. Walking into the room we were blasted with a very musty foul odor. There was food left in the fridge, under the air conditioning unit & the couch. One of the pillowcases had big blood droplets on it. The mattress on the couch pullout sleeper had no mattress protector & was urine stained.
As mentioned before we have never had a room with this many issues at this location so hopefully it's just a one time fluke but for the extra money we chose to spend on a upgraded hotel, we were definitely disappointed.

My stay was less than satisfactory!!! When I went to remove the comforter it was stains all on the sheets and pink residue on the inside of the comforter. I also notice stains on the sitting area as well!!!

Common areas great, room not so much
The commom areas are very nice and clean. The breakfast was fantastic (waffles, oatmeal, egss, sausage, etc). All staff was very kind and helpful. When you enter the room its like a different hotel. While the linens were clean and neat the room itself was in serious need of attention. From multiple large cracks in the ceiling down to the disgusting stained carpet to the stench of the room. The pool was great though and the coffee was good.
