Liked the location, did not like the parking cost of $10 per day.....liked the Free Breakfast and the friendly staff, did not like the pool or workout area......both too small for the amount of people wanting to use them. We had to ask to have our room cleaned, otherwise, we got coffee and a trash liner with towel left outside the door of the room??

Needham is about 20 min outside of Boston. It’s a growing area with a lot of shops and restaurants. The negative is that they all close early. There are only a few places open if you want to grab a late dinner or drink. The hotel is nice. My rating on cleanliness is because there was hair from a previous guest in the shower and our bedding didn’t smell clean. It didn’t smell dirty but didn’t have that crisp fresh smell. On our future trips to Boston, we will stay closer in.

we arrived at 3;00 am due a delay in our flight and the attention at that time was extraordinary and friendly, the place was very comfortable, the breakfast was great and the workers too. really.
definitely is now in my lis of best hotels

I chose this property due to its proximity to our office. The staff was nice enough but not super helpful. The internet was dreadful with its terribleness, surprisingly topped by the breakfast they offer. Learning that they do not clean your room daily was a surprise. This hotel is in desperate need of a technology refresh.

It was decent. Good rooms, complimentary breakfast, which worked well for us. We were told house cleaners would come every third day, but no one came during our six day stay. That was OK. We needed to ask for soap and other supplies at the front desk a couple of times.

There was a terrible odor in the lobby when we were there. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom sink drained so slow that when you washed your hands the sink filled up with water.

Property condition ragged and tired. Room furniture scratched and dinged. Bathroom fixtures loose and sink slow drain. Limited housekeeping service and not attentive. Staff just going through the motions except for the young lady tending breakfast. She was working alone hard with a full house and kept a very pleasant personality. Bar closed and desk clerk blamed on Covid. Bad excuse.

We stay here for a Track event which was 20mins away from the hotel. Breakfast was on site, bought groceries and cooked in the room. Very close to shopping areas, Marshalls, Wal-Mart, McDonald's, Chicfila, what every you needed what not far away. I will definitely come back. Its 14mins from Wellesley College and Boston College is 6mins away. I would recommend.

Room is a great size with a full kitchen. Tons of outlets/plugs/usb ports. Tons of storage. Location is in a more industrial business area but happy with that for being quiet!

terrible anniversary weekend get-away experience with the wife. We were very disappointed from the evening we arrived on Friday up until Sunday. Upon arrival, as we pulled into the hotel, there were homeless people asking for money at the light. The walls are paper thin, and we are listening to people talking throughout the rooms beside us and on their phones, yelling in the hallways. Listen to the toilets flush constantly. Poor breakfast choices Dirty people. Hotel rooms smell musty. I could go on and on, unfortunately.

Loved the studio-type layout and fixtures. Staff and service were excellent. Immediately surrounding neighborhood is stark and not attractive. They could be eco-friendly by landscaping with native plants.

At booking I was asked if I wanted the room not to be cleaned or every other day. I chose the latter and upon arriving I was told no cleaning was provided unless long term. 5 nights with a child is long term to me. Additionally there were other peoples underwear in the room and in the pull out bed linens yuck !

I stay at Residence Inn properties often and I was not impressed with this property. It’s located in an isolated business park which was creepy when arriving at night. They charge $10/day for parking which was not made clear until arrival. They do not provide housekeeping services unless you stay 5 nights or more. Again, this was not made clear until my second day when I asked about housekeeping. Also, no one picks up the phone when you call for assistance from your room. I would not stay there again.

My check in was great. The staff was wonderful. They gave me a better room. The first one was unsatisfactory. Sorry to say the room was missing things from the kitchen. I had to unload the dishwasher when I got to the room. For some reason it was somewhat loud on the upper floor. This is the first time it happened ever.

The suite was spacious and had separate desk and eating spaces with separate chairs for each. Hard to figure out how to request fresh towels and bathmats. No restaurants or stores within walking distance. Very pleasant and informative desk staff. Overall, a very nice accommodation for the price.

Over charge of my service dogs!!
I have 2 service dogs and you charge $150, for me to have them with me. Wasn't to happy about that.

Simple stay. Could do with better soundproofing!
Sound proofing / insulation was bad. Could hear upstairs guest "stomping" but I'm sure they are just walking normally. However, it is non-stop and very loud. Housekeeping also came around the hall banging the doors at 8AM screaming housekeeping. No matter if people are checking out or not. Housekeeping is only done on day of check-out, which is fine for a short stay. Breakfast was available. Nothing special but good for it being inside a business park so no other options available.

The water pressure in the shower was terrible. Very low..
Whoever was in the room above me was noisy, slammed doors, yelled, walked on hard floors with wood heels and kept me up most of the night. They were still loud after midnight.

It is fairly hidden in the industrial part of Needham. You might not know its there. There are no close by places to sit down and eat. It is in just next to the highway. Hotel is very quiet.

Nice room, but I got turned off.
One of stovetop burners wasn’t working in Room 330. Also found dried egg on spatula, and hair on potato peeler in drawer. 2 plates had old food stains on them. So I felt I had to wash all the cookware and dishwater before using them. Staff needs to pay better attention.Would’ve preferred bar soap for showering rather then the dispenser soap. At least give me a choice with a couple bars of nice soap!

I had just stayed in my first Residence Inn Marriott in Watertown to drop off my son at school and was pleasantly surprised. So when I needed a little more space I gladly switched from the Hilton Homewood Suites down the road (even though it was almost double the cost here). This was nowhere near as nice as either hotel. Room 202 was not that clean and the toilet barely flushed.

The room was perfect for my son and I. It was very convenient to have the kitchen. Only trouble we had was the ice maker in the freezer wasn’t working. Other than that it was great!

Very quiet, and convenient location as it was near main thoroughfares.
The checkout took over 20 minutes because they could not reconcile what Expedia versus Residence Inn charged and collected from me as a guest. I plan to check my cc statements to make sure they did not overcharge me.

Cleaning and sanitizing concerns
The floors were littered throughout the lobby, elevators, and hallway with debris and spills. We arrived in early afternoon so it wasn’t like there wasn’t time to manage the floors. The conditions remained the same throughout our stay. It was evident the floors had not been vacuumed or cleaned for days.
I mention this because on a previous stay during covid pandemic when we pulled out the sleep sofa for our son there were dirty sheets with crumbs still on the sofa mattress. Again there was no signage or sealing of the room to ensure us it had been properly cleaned and sanitized.
We will no longer stay here and are very disappointed in the cleaning especially during a time of expected heightened cleaning precautions.

Residence Inn - Not so Great
The hotel is a bit worn and seems to be trying to make it after the pandemic. The hotel is in an industrial area with a view of a coca cola distributor. Easy access on and off 95. Bathroom amenities were non existent with the toilet paper and tissues like sandpaper. The breakfast buffet was one of the worst I've seen. No waffles, fruit or pastry and the main dishes were often empty. We never saw a person cleaning the halls or elevator or wiping down a table during breakfast. The suite was adequate but the sitting room and bedroom were small. The sofa was very uncomfortable and we had to put a blanket under the sheet to sleep on the bed. We will not stay there again on future visits.

The price was great considering I had a full kitchen with basic pots, pans, silverware and dishes. A concern for me is that I didn't have a car and the other restaurants were located on the other side of the highway and too far to walk to.

We stayed in a suite with a fold-out couch, and it was filthy. We opened the couch to find a half eaten muffin, a yogurt container, and crumbs in the mattress and on the floor. There was also yogurt smeared on the underside of the cushions. The bed was disgusting and unusable. The management could not put us in another room, and so my son had to sleep on the floor. Even with all of that, the management has been unresponsive to my complaints.

Staff was very rude and made promises they could not keep. When I'm told that there are pack and plays for infants, I presume that the mattress would be included for my son to sleep in like every other hotel.
When my wife told the first surly front desk staff member that the pack and play was there but we did not have a mattress, sheets, pillows or blankets the response was "I am aware." We went into the city for several hours and returned to the pack and play still in the hallway and nothing else provided to us. Aware and didn't care
I called down to reception (as it was now time for my son to go to bed) and told her what was going on, she said she would be right up. In fairness she did bring sheets, a blanket, and other items fairly fast, but no mattress. My son really needed to go to bed at this point.
My wife went down to the front desk and she was informed that there were no pack and play mattresses in the entire hotel and suggested that we use towels for him to sleep on. One, I highly doubt that the one front desk attendant (apparently they are severely understaffed) knocked on each and every door and asked the people inside the rooms if they had an infant mattress, two...even if by some miracle she did so, it would have been extremely helpful to have received a call to that effect rather than forcing us to demand answers.
This trip was for our anniversary and the terrible lack of service definitely put a damper on our day. I would never recommend staying here.

All was great, despite an almost total lack of food service, except the front desk employee was pretty grumpy when I asked for tea downstairs at 5.30am. The tea/coffee service did not start until 6.30, which is too late in this day and age.

More attention to detail
For a room with a kitchen to offer only one fork and one knife (dirty) is unacceptable. Who is checking kitchen utensils? The breakfast option remains dreadful, it is time to return to your pre-covid service, the bag breakfast is no substitute! Restaurants are open. The view from my window of the roof is dreadful especially since I asked for an upper floor and the hotel is not crowded.

We really enjoyed our stay here... The room was nice & clean upon our arrival, and the staff could not have been more kind and helpful; they helped us find a superb pizza restaurant, and provided a nice clean area for an impromptu pizza party for our grandsons second birthday. All requests for room 'refills' were met promptly with a smile, no matter what time of day. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit Boston.

Bit dated. Kitchen isn’t equipped to make much more than coffee and microwave frozen stuff. It is really for limited for a few days, not much more. Hallways need more frequent vacuuming. It’s comfortable enough.
